2561  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How mentally prepared are you? on: September 18, 2022, 05:54:10 AM
Only fools who will buy cause some rich guys recommended it. Some are jumping without making any reseaerches on such project on crypto and when their investment fluke then will blame and says its a scam. They should go first and read some very important terms such as risky, investment, gains and losses. To udnerstand that investment isnt an easy money and learning to accept losses and avoid selling at a loss is a very innate skill one should adopt.
2562  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will "De-Fi" platforms be subject to KYC/AML laws in the future? on: September 18, 2022, 05:14:03 AM
Will this be the future of "decentralized finance"? If not, why? Knowing that most people prefer convenience on top of decentralization, I'm afraid "De-Fi's" future is not as bright as many thought it would be. Your input will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance. Smiley
If so then its not defi anymore. Defi means decentralized finance and if kyc/amla have been introduced then there is an authority already. Yes we hate the fact that defi has been a ground for scammers and a lot losses money with such breach and exploitation happening on defi. What isnt nice here are those creating platforms to openly scam users. Well the government cant tolerate those scammers and wanted to jail them and hunt them.

As much as we wanted to retain the defi, then there is always scam projects ahead, and if we pursue a centralized regulations to those then we also breaking the definition of defi.
2563  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ETH is always one step behind the competition on: September 18, 2022, 04:04:48 AM
Its because its the first one and we all knew that early projects have edge on this and trusted more by people. Look on bitcoin, it doesnt have much dapps or any use case aside from being traded, and store of value but still its number 1. Theres a lot of other projects with expandable and flexible features that those but they are yet to be beaten. Its not all about tech but also the mark they imprinted on community. They are famous enough that the competition on tech which is more advance are disregarded.
2564  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Bitcoin as an electronic currency, can it be use for bet gambling on: September 18, 2022, 03:48:00 AM
As an electronic currency, I will like to know if bitcoin can be use in sport betting, apart from using your local currency, can I found my sport bet account using bitcoin.
Yes and you already know that. For sure posting with on gambling section before could really answer this as you could read a lot of online casinos that uses bitcoin for betting there. I dont know why you are asking this question that youd already knew.
2565  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Fan Tokens on: September 17, 2022, 01:17:14 PM
Could make sense to expect fan tokens to blow up during the next bull-run?
Yes it did blow up sometime on binance but actually I was thinking whats the use of those fan tokens anyway? Even though on defi space havent heard such hype on this field cause its not a general perspective to a lot of community. Well maybe those fans around the globe but lets consider not all are fans of football ( I am more on basketball such as NBA).
2566  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: My crypto/Bitcoin advice. on: September 17, 2022, 10:35:32 AM
You can depend your life on Bitcoin that is why Bitcoin is referred to as decentralized and independent!
Agreed that bitcoin is decentralized, however this line that we can depend our life on bitcoin isnt always true. Not all have btc and how could we can depend on something that we arent sure of in the future. You ought to mean was we can not stay hungry or losses money for living if we have bitcoin? If this is right, then aboslutely wrong cause bitcoin is a technology and still evolves in somehow but we cant assume it only go yp in value, likely it could be some sort of investment like stock that go up and down so still its not a thing that can save us from poverty or guaranteed us to be rich alone.
2567  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Need some advice on: September 17, 2022, 05:57:16 AM
I need some thoughts about this group I've joined a week a go. They are giving free signals for trading and I actually start earning since day 1. Are there really group like this? or Am I on the right trading group. We trade in Batex anf U-koala.
If your earning then good for you. But I am little but curious if they are really giving accurate and helpful information especially its free. But lets say its free and legit then cool, just consolidate your gains with it and maybe while doing that try to learn on your own so you could also do soms trading without any help and youll probably feel much better eaenung base on your own data interpretation and  chart predictions
2568  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The Biggest Gainers in The Just Concluded Ethereum Merge on: September 17, 2022, 05:12:01 AM
ethereum is in the process of being merged and finished not experiencing any increase in terms of price. but I believe this is a good start for ethereum. periodically maybe ethereum will rise consistently in the future because usually this kind of event is very influential on the price but ethereum remains stable.
A merge doesnt mean a guaranteed increase of price. Yet what happened is the total opposite. Though the event is really a great advance for ethereum as it being improved on PoS. Theres a lot of miners who are probably clueless what to do on either staked their stash or sold eth and focus on another coin to mine to avoid the lack of use of their mining equipments.
2569  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [Warning] Fake Coinmarketcap Website Offering ETH Merge! on: September 16, 2022, 02:24:55 PM
Nowadays, it is not complicated or expensive to make a website like this, especially since such people do not hesitate to steal code and design from others, and advertising can be quite cheap if the scammer uses social networks personally, or hires someone who does it professionally and he does not charge dearly for his service.
Thats the problem. Its so easy for someone to create all over again and used different trend news for scamming. Is there a way to strict the creation of such website or impose maybe a KYC before they are allowed to do one or at least ask for a credentials where the users info could be recorded in any case they are trying to do a scam, authority can bust them out.
2570  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Terra Luna Classic (LUNC) Price Prediction. Will LUNC price hit $0.001 in 2022? on: September 16, 2022, 11:59:27 AM
If you hold it long enough, you will be able to see LUNC at not only $0.001 but maybe at $0.01. Time and patience are barriers for most of people. We don't have enough patience to hold it too long like that.
Wow thats too high if able to come on that a lot of people will definitely become rich especially thosw who bought when it was on three to five zeroes before. But with the current marketcap, I am really not confident with it reaching it for now. We are probably talking about a lot of time here before arriving on that level.

I dont have any lunc now but still have some luna locked on binance airdrop before of terra but I dont expect anything from it since its distribution is on december and it will be for 2yrs monthly unvest.
2571  Economy / Speculation / Re: How low is Bitcoin expected to drop? on: September 16, 2022, 06:55:06 AM
What is the projected price of Bitcoin?
Like mk4 said, its not that accurate. Right now we are at 19k levels which some assume or predicted never would go here after the initial dumped to 17k last few months. But we cant close our eyes at we can see more dump or a crazy rebound from here. Who knows, a lot of events affecting it such as eth merge and feds reports, so likely we have a very long rally here what would be the outcome of it in the next coming months to years.
2572  Other / Meta / Re: Merit what, why on: September 16, 2022, 05:25:33 AM
Have you tried googling this before making this post ?
I think its better to use the search function here in forum. Googling merit would have a lot of resources line up and not only about bitcointalk forum but other means to merit.

poorman1, it seems you had a good start. 2 posts, 2 activities and 2 merits. Not bad. The most important for you right now is to get to know the community instead of asking one line questions if you are really into bitcoin community.
Nice track actually but I do hope that he is a natural newbie and a curious fella asking about bitcoin honestly and not just an alt account boosting merit for farm on campaign.
2573  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What will happen to LUNC after its founder is arrested?! on: September 16, 2022, 05:13:00 AM
I told you guys months ago to stay away from Luna. It’s pretty ironic that right after it pumps there is news of him getting arrested. Why didn’t they do this months ago?
Bullshit right? A huge pump few days back due to the burn tax and now a news of him issuance of warrant to arrest Do Kwon. It seems like some shady activity happening on the inside. Its not that they should have arrested him long time ago but the sequence of the events is kinda feel fishy.

Its like they cashout first due to massive pump and then dragged it down to let the price dump hard again. Really a pnd with a very bad founder.
2574  Other / Meta / Re: How would bitcointalk community react to bitcointalk nfts on: September 15, 2022, 04:34:45 PM
NFT related/blockchain based games are quite fun I think there'll be something that takes over the ones that already exist though (if they don't get better graphics and some storyline to them - there might be some that emerge that have these though).
Yes the thing is some are just p2e with bullshit game system. I am only looking to serious tokenomics and good model and system. Like the mobile game guild of guardians, but they arent up yet for the game, most likley 2023. But their nft is already been trading. Done with the safekeeping of needed nft for the games and just patiently waiting.
2575  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: So the ETH merge has finally happened on: September 15, 2022, 04:05:57 PM
The long awaited ETH merge has finally happened today and thing went smooth as for the merge from Proof of Work to Proof of Stake.
I personally thought that ETH would dump as soon as the merge would happen and I can see that it is dumping in price but slowly.
There were also rumors that a hard form might occur but we didn't see any of that happening.
So what do you guys think, what's next with Ethereum ?
There is. Cause I saw an announcement made by FTX that they are gonna support the trading of ethw/usd and currently been trading now. I saw it a while ago after the eth merge and the value is at 24$ per coin but dont know now. Ethereum 2.0 is probably adjusting cause there are none dapp yet and probably some bugs were gonna see on the network like the 1st nft mitned for 36eth gas what an insane fee which probably an error or dont know.
2576  Other / Meta / Re: How would bitcointalk community react to bitcointalk nfts on: September 15, 2022, 03:34:57 PM
I don't think many people here care about nfts though and their lack of anytbing (except being a token which will probably expire afaik when wherever it's hosted does).
I do some nft related to games but anything related to jpeg as a form of art associated with blockchain isnt not my cup of tea. There are more artists creating nft but it really not made for sake of arts instead a money grab.

I dont think some would do an nft related or more incline to btc cause that woyld be pointless and never gonna help in bitcoin adoption.
2577  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Is Bitcoin private enough for freedom financially?? on: September 15, 2022, 10:20:03 AM
If you have bitcoin and planning to convert it to fiat then we have plenty of choices but the burden is KYC like Binance. But there are known exchange for bitcoin which you dont need to give up the KYC and you have an option to do a peer to peer transaction limiting the censorship and tracking of activity you are conducting and planning to do. Satoshi meant to be it like that, but the introduction of centralization such as exchanges make it convenient for everyone to convert it into fiat well a lot of people uses that more than the p2p and bitcoin market without KYC. But its always up to us to make a choice for this.
2578  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Rebuschain Airdrop on: September 15, 2022, 10:05:55 AM
To anyone who staked more than 100evmos before July 14, 2022, you can check now your airdrop of rebuschain. Its almost the same with evmos criteria before to claim all airdrop %. There are task needed to do before getting all. Right now they already unlock 20% from the snapshot and you can do two of the open task but the voting is already pass.

Check out the details of the airdrop announcement here.

2579  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ETHW Core to push on with Ethereum PoW fork 24 hours after Merge on: September 15, 2022, 09:07:06 AM
The Merge will shift the Ethereum network away from its current Proof-of-Work (PoW) mining model to a Proof-of-Stake (PoS) consensus mechanism, phasing out miners and replacing them with validators.
Miners have plenty of choices aside from mining eth, there are other options like btc, rvn, etc and many more. Maybe their just inclined towards eth pow and probably looking forward to the fork. But isnt it gonna create confusion to others? Well diverting to PoS has its advantage especially on environmental aspect and probably Vitalik feels the need to do so. Anyway some supported him a lot maybe some cant accept this but for sure he thinks a lot of this before going through it.
2580  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: The description of the Topic Starter (OP) Hidden on: September 15, 2022, 07:59:32 AM
Topic starter is written on the (OP) but it is hidden, and those who are using mobile phone to login to the site (forum) might  not see the description but those who are using laptop or desktop will see it.
I think its working cause I am using mobilw phone thru my browser and I can see the (OP) besides your name. Unless that you edited your name which is impossible right? OP denotes "original post/poster so some might be confuse with it especially the newbie but we can always remind them of that.

I juat noticed this thing appearing on OP's name. So it indeed implemented already by theymos.
