Bitcoin Cash Fund site now launched!
We're a community-driven, grass-roots org accelerating adoption of BitcoinCash

So Bitcoin Cash is now a hardship case in need of charity?  Huh Whatevah.

the mystery miner, aka jihan wu, has hundreds of millions of unspent bcash piling up. they should apply to him. i'm sure he'd like to spend some of it.

Good, let him donate. As for me, I already gave at the office.  Roll Eyes

I don't understand your motto "Make Bitcoin Decentralized Again" ... When it became centralized? Grin What does it means?)

It means giving the power back to the users Nvidia and AMD instead of the ASIC manufacturers

FTFY

And what mining farms do Nvidia and AMD control? Please enlighten us... Bitmain has its own farms as well as Bitfury.

Irrelevant. Mining equipment is available to anyone willing to purchase.

Though if you want to purchase the best, you'll need to acquire some BCH.

So if I want to mine with sha256 algo, I need to purchase the equipment from the same people who are going to be my direct competitors? What kind of fair raw deal is that? Cheesy To add insult to injury, Bitmain requires that I use only BCH, which benefits Bitmain even more. Sick of oligarchies making all the rules, to make the most profit for themselves. That's why I got into crypto in the first place.

Where's my Black Friday discount on BTC? This small 2% discount off ATH just isn't going to cut it. In fact, yesterday's dip wasn't even that big of a deal. I want a deep discount. Jimbo wants one too. I am sure.  Angry

I'm disappointed too. difficulty change is getting closer, all this new bitfinex/tether and flippening FUD. It looked like something was brewing. even the mempool looks ok.

I absolutely hate Bitfinex and believe the "FUD" about spoofy and Tether.  Grin However, Bitcoin does not need Bitfinex for it's own viability. There are plenty of other exchanges. I don't know why some of these twitter OG are coming to the defense of Bitfinex. I think the BTC economy will be a whole lot better without them. I don't even mind that they kicked us US customers to the curb.

why bitcoin should be split again into several parts, whether this is due to disagree between developers, I do not really understand

Bitcoin is open source and therefore permissionless. Anyone can copy the code, make any changes they care to and create their own fork. Most altcoins are in fact forks of Bitcoin. The only difference with this recent trend is most forks opted to start their blockchains from scratch(at block zero) rather than fork off at a set block number like Bitcoin Cash and Bitcoin gold.
2568  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Bitcoin Gold : Make Bitcoin Decentralized Again on: November 24, 2017, 02:20:01 PM
for me best wallets till now for bitcoin bitcoin gold :

mobile :
https://coinomi.com/

windows :
https://electrongold.org/

both wallets are safe and do the purpose, just move your bitcoins to other wallet before claiming your bitcoin gold.

Stay away from electron gold many reports of keys being stolen and funds wiped out

so what is the best wallet to use for import private key?

I like my Trezor. BTG claimed without compromising my private keys and it is SPV, so no need to download over 100 GB blockchain.
2569  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Bitcoin Gold : Make Bitcoin Decentralized Again on: November 23, 2017, 04:48:04 PM
Any android wallet yet. Hope will arrive soon

Coinomi works perfect on my device this is trusted wallet to store this coin. I'm using this wallet to claim for all fork this good choice to for any coin at the moment so you can use this wallet as Android.

So it should fine to claim both BCH and BTG with Coinomi?
I have claimed neither one of them yet. I just wanna wait until it is 100% safe.

It will never be 100% safe when you need to use your private key in 3rd party software that is out of your control. Before doing anything, always move your BTC first.
Then you can claim with Coinomi, but anyway I'd do it for transfering the coins to exchange (if you want to sell it), or to other wallet (if you just want to split).

When I used Trezor's Bitcoin Gold claiming service, they did not sweep my BTC to another address. I hope I am safe. Huh

lambo not even soon already here

Don't worry. If you FOMO BCH, you'll have one by the time you have your midlife crisis. (Unless you are already middle age like me. But wait, can I still have my midlife crisis in my 50s? Maybe it's not too late for me! Tongue)

Why does the coin show a 30% rise today? I remember BCH going up when bitcoin was down? Is it because of on-line bitstamp?

Because Craig Wright needs to rent another Lambo!

Guys, how long it take you to send BCH from one exchange to another for let say 12 confirmations? It took me 5 hours last Sunday. So where is the promised speed of BCH? Please share your experiences.

Try sending a Bitcoin transaction for 150 sats BTC. (about 1 cent USD.) You'll be waiting much longer.

Bitcoin Cash

That's right, Bitcoin Cash can handle 8x the garbage transactions as Bitcoin can!

Better FOMO now! Buy all of the Bitcoin Cash that you can. You never know when you may need to send a relative 3 USD worth of Bitcoin Cash half way around the world for cheap, so they can buy a cup of coffee. Shocked

Quite thrilled I made it in your list. I must be doing something right!
I just forked BCH with 1TB blocks, join me to the REAL SUPERIOR Bitcoin One Terabyte, best code ever! It is what Satoshi always wanted.

Hefty Hefty Hefty

ok i do 2gb blocks. am i now superior? financial backing? thats centralised backing from a few people or group. this means its controlled and not centralised. you campaign against central control how can you approve of that?

BCH is pumping. Tell me the reason?

The oldest and largest cryptocurrency exchange in Europe, Bitstamp, plans to list #BitcoinCash trading pairs at the end of November or early December. $BCH
Guys, take popcorn  and watch the performance of BCH, act №2. What do you think what will be the High? How low bitcoin will drop?  Cry

3500 BCH retract to 2000===> then flippening 4600
4600 BTC Grow to 9000====> then flippening 3500

Yeah alright that's not gonna happen but keep wishing

Oh please Tek, let these Monkees daydream.  Grin

Shutting down? Are you serious? LOL

Yep, Bitcoin announced it will close its doors Cheesy What a wonderful question Cheesy

More chance of bcash shutting down

Not even Doge has shut down. It has no active development team, crappy market price, and every script miner can mine a little Doge on the side. If the Doge community doesn't give up, why on earth would the Bitcoin or Bitcoin Cash community give up? At least the big blockers now have their own chain to rally around, and further their Keynesian vision. It will be a relief that they no longer have to threaten an impending hardfork with no replay protection. At least I hope they stick to Bitcoin Cash and don't keep trying for these contentious hardfork software releases.

This mempool spam is starting to concern me. Growing close to 60mb of transactions between 0-5sat.

It's probably Wu and friends wanting to cash in on transaction fees while at the same time make Bitcoin look bad. The only problem with him driving up the Bitcoin fees is that many pools are less likely to have their profit switching algorithms switch to mining Bitcoin Cash instead. However, pools like Antpool will switch since Antpool doesn't distribute the fees to the miners. (In exchange the miners have no pool fee and may even get a promotional "bonus" of 3-5%)

Anyone know why the Windows wallet keeps getting blocked by Malwarbytes, is there a work around for this?

are you using this one https://bitcoingold.org/#features?

https://www.virustotal.com/#/file/53e01dd7366e87fb920645b29541f8487f6f9eec233cbb43032c60c0398fc9fa/detection
Yep that is the one.

Why would they release a wallet without first checking its virus status.   Dumb.

i think they are false positive i see them many times in many wallet
Thanks. But I would like to know how do you know that is false positive or true positive. How to check it?

Most wallets and miner programs trigger the Bitcoinminer Trojan flag in antivirus software. In the past, people programed malware that made people mine bitcoins against their will. Since the same lines of code that enable you to mine this coin are very similar to the mining code used in these Botnet malware, the antivirus programs are going to flag them.
If you want to be extra cautious, learn to compile these programs yourself and run them under sandboxie or a virtual machine under Ubuntu.
