+1 recommendation on the Gearmo hubs. Really solid product, and plenty of spacing for these BF1's.

The main factor fuelling all these threads is the recurring theme of Josh being a deceptive, unhelpful, nasty individual. The whole story would have been totally different with a public figure who knew how to interact with people and isn't cynical in his use of language, manipulation of dates and shows a willingness to be frank with information regarding delays and the size of the company's order book.
The lesson learnt for me is only give money to people who are honest.

 Very well said.

The sad part is that Josh displays all those negative traits as a gleaming, proud badge-of-honor, and people keep throwing money at them and defending them like some ignorant, weak-minded Stockholm-Syndrome sufferers.

Josh displays all the classic symptoms psychopathy. Don't take my word for it... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Psychopathy

Absolutely unforgivable and despicable behavior; a damning indictment of the entire company that they allow and support their public figurehead to act in such an unprofessional and off-putting manner.

Quite possibly one of the most conniving people I have ever had the displeasure of doing business with.

 Caveat emptor.

Sorry, you picked the wrong betting site. They have a huge problem with deciding bets the right way. Try http://bitbet.us/.

Agreed. Betsofbitco.in cannot be trusted due to their poor judgement on the initial BFL shipping fiasco/bet where they considered a test rig sitting in Kansas that Luke-Jr has access to remotely, as legitimately shipping product.

If anyone needs a history lesson, it was ~1-2 months after the bet date that product began physically shipping.

 Dave,

I am interested in purchasing a couple cases from Spotswood to house my October rigs.

Can you offer any insight as to whether anything has significantly changed with v3 rigs, that would preclude proper mounting when compared with v1 and v2 rigs ?

 Cheers !
2566  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: Anyone mining at ghash.io ? Any anecdotes ? on: October 27, 2013, 06:04:12 AM
I took the plunge a few days ago, and am going to play around with reinvesting mined BTC into GHS, and see how that works out for a while.

Interesting site.

Thanks for your input.

Yes they work just fine as far I can tell  Grin  Not sure what the new updates can do for these, but at 350MHz I'm gettin 5.5GH  Wink
Temps are 52-59c,but a good fan blowing on the backside helps alot.

Thanks for this. Just shot off an email to Steamboat to have my units shipped. Will pick up a programmer off ebay. Thank you for all your updates !

Dumb as a box of rocks.  How that Internet Law Degree treating you?

How is Paypal treating you ?

2569  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Liquid Synergy Designs Inc. -ASIC mining hardware on: October 27, 2013, 01:05:11 AM
I see reports of miners shipping. Does that mean the USB bootloader code is finished, or did you have the units shipped as-is?

Pretty sure they are only shipping out as-is units without the USB bootloader code.

With any luck, we'll get some good news on that front real damn soon now.
2570  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Time to sue ButterflyLabs - Big Single-SC owner let's league for class action on: October 26, 2013, 11:45:19 PM
I'm surprised nobody has actually done this yet.  They sold a bunch of those minirigs for $20k+ and nobody can afford a lawyer to sue these guys?
That would require having something to actually sue for.  Piss poor internet lawyers aside, a real lawyer would tell you that you have no case.

... Except for that entire part where real lawyers view your actions as a legitimate breach of contract case.

You are absolutely right that you need something to actually sue for; your current product offerings are arguably worthless - much like your estimimates.

*mumbles something about reality*
2571  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Did BFL mine with my unit for 3 weeks before shipping it to me? on: October 26, 2013, 10:46:36 PM
Most likely answer: YES.  It's well known BFL mined using customer hardware as a "burn-in/testing" process.
Of course this is an outright lie, so as long as you understand that jayeeyee is lying, you can believe whatever you want. Smiley

So long as you understand that Inaba is lying consistently mistaking, you can believe whatever you want.

2572  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: BFL Reliable? on: October 26, 2013, 01:27:46 AM
Who do you contact to request someone be given a scammer tag?

Butterfly Labs has made substantial advertising contributions to Theymos, estimated near 2,500 BTC, and have effectively earned themselves immunity on these forums from official sanction.
2573  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: BFL Reliable? on: October 26, 2013, 12:23:17 AM
And... another ~1000 units shipped today.  1/3 of the entirety of KnC's shipment... in one day.
Are you seriously that stupid, egocentric, delusional, lacking in self awareness, and insane to have just made a comparison with a company that has only recently started shipping product, and you were supposed to start shipping volume almost twelve months ago ? *

* I don't like to stoop to this base level of discourse, but with Joshua Zerlan, COO of Butterfly Labs, it is fully warranted and justified given his history on these forums.

I think he really takes the crown from the Iraqi Information Minister, this is top notch stuff right here... BRAVO BRAVO!

Can someone kindly point me in the direction of what hardware I would need to reprogram the K16's if I don't want to wait for the USB bootloader ?
Eg: Does Amazon.com sell what we'd need ?
http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_trksid=p2050601.m570.l1313&_nkw=PICkit+3&_sacat=0&_from=R40

Well shit. That intimidates me Sad Gutcheck says I should wait for USB bootloader. Thanks for the info.

2578  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: STOP!!! Do not buy that new ASIC ! And here's why... on: October 25, 2013, 05:30:27 AM
That's where cex comes in handy at BTC0.082/Gh/s and deploys instantly as cloud miner, you have the option to sell the share so you both got the mining profit + the share which would then be a win+win situation when worst comes to worst.
You can check my sig for cex though.

It seems to me that the price of GH/s is always going to go lower. I'm not sure how mining profits will offset the price drop when you go to sell.

 Am I overlooking something ?
2579  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: BFL Reliable? on: October 25, 2013, 01:15:07 AM
Strange how he never directly addresses why they are not refunding orders and how they are keeping the money if you request one and putting your orders on hold.

Do you honestly think he would incriminate himself, and confess to blatantly and flagrantly violating FTC regulations with respect to refunds ?

Look, the troll came out of his basement to see what fresh blood to suck out of unsuspecting new customers.
Welcome, sir Troll-a-lot.
Are you ready for a class action?  Are you ready for a little prison time?
