And yes I think Alacaraz will win, Norrie is good, but Alcaraz is just beating everyone he comes up against at the moment.

agree here, Alcaraz will probably win this one and set a stage for a duel with Nadal
and Nadal had two match points in second set, missed that and played long third set with Goffin, where there was 11:9 in tie break, with four match points for Goffin, Nadal had it two times, break advantage in second set and two mini breaks in tie break, but lost all, how un-typical for him, Alcaraz would be a favorite against him

They now set-up a all Spaniard in the quarter finals.

What do you guys think of the matchup? It seems that Nadal is not playing well base on his last match while Alcaraz continue to improved.

Will Alcaraz have his first win against Nadal and tell us that it is the passing of the torch?
2562  Economy / Speculation / Re: Future prospects for bitcoin on: May 05, 2022, 09:12:39 PM
What do you think about the Federal Reserve System meeting?
Is there any chance that bitcoin will fall as the dollar strengthens if they decide to raise interest rates?

We've seen the effects just now, in the 4 hour timeframe, Bitcoin goes down hard as they Feds are going to increased the rate hike to fight off inflation. So this is a negative news not just for crypto investors, but for the whole financial market as well. The result? all of them went down hard, Nasdaq, crypto, S&P. So it just shows that we have some kind of correlation with other markets as well. So the last push to $40,000 was just a bull trap and for sure maybe some of us get caught very bad by this action.
2563  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Crawford vs Spence on: May 05, 2022, 03:24:36 AM
But I am reading that Thurman wants to fight with Crawford first, so whoever wins will fight Spence.

It's on the news but I think Terence Crawford won't bother with Keith Thurman. Crawford is hungry to face Spence and that should happen as soon as possible.

Spence is almost on the move of stepping up a division and he won't probably wait for another Crawford fight. The statement of Spence is clear that after Ugas, Crawford is the next. If Crawford will face Thurman, I doubt Spence will patiently wait for the result. Time is running that's why Spence will follow his desire and won't wait with anybody regardless if that's a champion or not.
I also thought that very same thing, Terence Crawford has been calling for a fight with Spence Jr. numerous times already that's why I don't seriously think that he will give Thurman that fight first. Thurman can wait because Crawford and Spence fight will materialize soon because the latter is also looking forward to grab that belt, Crawford would not blow this chance because he knows that Spence can always change his mind if he chooses Keith Thurman first.

Well there are a lot of fights to Spence after winning against Ugas. But then again, it seems that his manager is really looking for money fights for Errol.

But for me, the money fight is already in front of them, it should be Terrence Crawford, not going to 154 lbs and fight the champion there. And this fight with Crawford can easily be made because he is no longer under the Top Rank banner. But at the same time though, they shouldn't low ball Crawford. And then blame him after for not accepting the fight.
2564  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: May 05, 2022, 02:46:52 AM
the Raducanu match I watched, she had shots which were just magical
and others which were just the complete opposite, it was a close affair all
the same.

Yes, the match did vary in quality quite a lot, both players fluctuating. I thought when Raducanu nearly went a double break down in the final set at 15-40, but pulled it back and then went 4-3 up, that she would win... but then her level dropped a bit and her opponent came back.

it will be and old rivalry next, Murray vs Djokovic. Novak looks great in his last game and so is Murray. But I don't think that Murray will have the body to beat Djokovic in their game. I'm expecting a two set win by Djokovic.

I like the quote from Murray regarding the next match: "He's the world number one, and I've got a metal hip" Cheesy
Difficult to believe, but the last time these two played, Murray was world number one and Djokovic number two.

True, how time flies though, as we can see, Djokovic still reigns as the number one players for many years and then Murray's game dip because of injuries.

But for sure, this is one of the most anticipated match although we might conclude that Djokovic will win it. But for sure fans are going to cheer for Murray in this game no matter what is the outcome.
2565  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Inoue vs Donaire II discussion on: May 05, 2022, 02:09:06 AM
Stripped Belt? He just deserved into that particular situation considering on how many times on which Casimero do bullshit things around.

I hope that will serve as a lesson for Casimero. Bad karma now takes place. It's easy to be humble in the first place and I don't know why he is having a hard time doing that. He doesn't need to be arrogant and boastful. Let the talks do on the ring. His trash talk is not even considered a form of marketing.

Since Casimero is now stripped with the title, I think we have another big reason now why we shouldn't involve his name here in this thread. Regardless of who will win against Inoue and Donaire, I'm sure Casimero's name won't be one of the choices in the next fight. Casimero is totally ruled out fighting either Inoue or Donaire as his next fight will be climbing up ranks again. There's still lots of time to climb up ranks, he is just 32 years old.

Let's wait if Inoue or Donaire will have their statement regarding WBO stripping Casimero's title.

Donaire though has supported Casimero and he let everyone knows what his opinion on the matter, but I guess the final decision is with the WBO.

So I guess we won't see the much anticipated fight anymore, but this will be the closest though, two of the best bantamweight we have right now. One has the experience and fire to regain his old glory, on the other hand, a young monster. Donaire still 4:1 underdog.
2566  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: When will it happen ? on: May 05, 2022, 01:16:19 AM
So many newbies are curious about when they will increase their rank in cryptocurrency operation. Many of them tend to get discouraged when the task is becoming too much for them in bounty hunting.Majority get excited about the profits they have seen others making in crypto but the sacrifice they are not ready to make. I want to encourage Newbies that someday it will happen  but you have got to sacrifice and stay focused. Please  encourage someone new to crypto.

I'm lost at the "increase their rank in crypto operation"? Do you mean their rank in this community? Because the higher the rank the higher the rewards?

In any case though, it's better to used this forum to learn first and maybe you can start doing some campaigns later after you understand how crypto works. The problem with newbie right now is joining this community of having the mindset that they will immediately earn money through bounty hunting, which is very wrong.
2567  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin may likely pull back to 35k on: May 05, 2022, 12:51:05 AM
snip...
There is always a possibility that is the case since the price of bitcoin is having a significant amount of problems to go up at the moment, however if you are a long term holder then such a small decrease in the price of bitcoin is not really relevant and if anything it is an opportunity to buy some bitcoin for a small discount, so if this were to happen people need to be ready and have some cash in hand in order to take advantage of the short window of opportunity in the case we got to actually see such low price.
We can't underestimate the market in the first place, we sometimes get surprised how this happens (huge fallbacks) because we forget to anticipate the market. We got been puzzled by what is really be the reason for these drops but instead, we do complain, indeed we take this very great opportunity to accumulate potential coins in preparation for the future pumps and halving.

So I assume those who think they are late to join the party prove that they are definitely wrong. Here comes the chance for you guys.

Fortunately, it seems the price has pick up again, going to $39,500++ and could be in the $40,000 if this rally continues.

So I hope that there is still some members who didn't wait for $35,000 to happen before re-entering because it they did, they they will probably have to wait again. The chances of having a pull back to $35,000 is still there though, but it might take some time. So for me, instead of waiting for that price, it's better to enter today, IMHO.
2568  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Davis vs Romero: May 28 on: May 04, 2022, 07:42:14 AM
I meant that I am shocked with such odds. If I was really far away from boxing and someone asked me on my opinion on 1.07 and 7 odds, I would say that two completely different class boxers are going to meet. Like one is amateur, while other is experienced pro boxer. And this .07 are possibility of injury or lucky punch.

Does anyone plans to place a bet on Romero? Coz placing a bet on Davis with such low profit is stupid.

The odds are telling you that only a miracle would give Romero a chance to beat Davis. He is up against an undefeated fighter who is also a great KO artist, what do you think people would expect? of course, they will all put their money on Davis to win, but such odds is a "no" since it would not give a good profit, maybe some props like a KO win in a certain round range (usually 3 rounds).

As I always tell, "smart money" will be on Tank Davis, while underdog bettors and ordinary gamblers like might go with Romero and look for an upset because of the higher odds and of course get a huge pay. However, the chances are very slim for Romero.

So it's really up to us to look for more betting options, like per round and others to at least have a good odds for our money.
2569  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: May 04, 2022, 03:35:35 AM
I was thinking to put my money on Shapovalov against Andy Murray. Good thing I didn't bet on it.

Because Murray prevail, 6-1,3-6,6-2.

So it will be and old rivalry next, Murray vs Djokovic. Novak looks great in his last game and so is Murray. But I don't think that Murray will have the body to beat Djokovic in their game. I'm expecting a two set win by Djokovic.
2570  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Canelo Alvarez vs Dmitry Bivol - May 7 on: May 04, 2022, 01:01:32 AM
So doesn't make sense for Canelo so he chooses Bivol and then will go after GGG. So more money for him and his promoters.

Canelo knows the game, he will fight a champion, defeat a champion and go with the anticipated GGG vs Canelo before GGG will retire. The good thing here is, if he beat GGG, that speculation will be over and people will see Canelo is better than GGG, he is at the right timing IMO.

Yeah, but it's more on an ego thingy. He really need to beat GGG convincingly as we might say that he won in a controversial manner.

Although I will have to say that Canelo is already a better fighter in terms of accomplished as he had multiple belts in different division but GGG chooses to stay at his comfort zone of 160 lbs. Fight is getting nearing, and this could be another great fight for this year but I still see Canelo winning against the tough Bivol at 175 lbs.
2571  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Mark Magsayo vs Rey Vargas WBC Featherweight Title (July 9) on: May 02, 2022, 03:53:55 AM
Are the odds already available?

Rey Vargas has a very good record, https://boxrec.com/en/proboxer/542148
35 wins and 22 of that are coming from KO. That was impressive.

Honestly, I don't trust Magsayo completely in this fight as I was a bit disappointed with the way he fight in his previous fight although he won. I don't know this Vargas but if Magsayo will not improve his style, I think he will experience his first defeat.
Vargas has more experience than Magsayo so this alone has put Vargas into an advantage from this fight. However, both boxers have been good in winning from KO so if Magsayo will manage to stop the fight through KO, he will probably win this game. But seeing how he fought with his last opponents, his boxing skills is not as good and impressive as how Vargas manage to win in the ring. So i'd go with Vargas this time.

Yeah, maybe Magsayo might regret his decision to fight Vargas. One thing though, Magsayo is very ambitious, saw some clips in Youtube and him and Roach are really targeting a unification in this division. So the chances for Magsayo might be slim because Vargas is a high level fighter. And we can do is that Magsayo will prepare a good game plan how to offset Vargas because based on reach and height, Vargas has the advantage.
2572  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: May 02, 2022, 03:21:11 AM
Osaka though and Sakkari is out already.

This is what I was talking about the other day, about how women's tennis is so unpredictable. In Madrid, we are now through to the last 16... so in theory most matches should be a player seeded 1-8 vs a player seeded 9-16... except out of the top 8 seeds, only the #8 seed is left, everyone else got knocked out already (alright, Swiatek withdrew before the tournament started, but that's the exception). There's no-one (other than Swiatek) that I'd feel confident betting on.

To be honest, that's one reason I usually stay away from the women's side, because as you have said it's unpredictable.

I look at who beat Osaka and she is Toribes Tormo, maybe she has the advantage of the weather. Nevertheless it is still an upset because I expect Osaka to at least move into the next round and chances are, if she is going to bow out of the tournament, it should be against rank opponent.
2573  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Crawford vs Spence on: May 02, 2022, 02:48:05 AM
Definitely, fans are willing to pay to watch this fight live and thru PPV. It's going to be the biggest fight in the welterweight division since the Pac-May and could be in the top 5-10 as far as PPV number goes.

Just scary though how Spence beat Ugas as he dominated him and we thought that it's going to be a close fight.

So it's hard to see who will win between this two great fighters, but I might be leaning towards Bud Crawford as great fighters adjust in the middle of the fight.
2574  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is it good for crypto community having more Tokens & Coins as well on: May 01, 2022, 10:33:14 AM
Well crypto is an open community, so no one can stop someone from creating their own token. So it's really up to the project itself if they want to stay relevant. They have to offer us something new, unique that has never been developed before.

In any case it's a copy cat project then it will just saturate the market. However, I don't think they will continue to live in the ecosystem. Sooner or later they will die a natural death.
2575  Economy / Economics / Re: India Exploring Commercial Uses for CBDC, Says Finance Minister !!! on: May 01, 2022, 09:30:42 AM
Nothing new here, I mean there have been governments around the world, shifting towards CBCD. I'm not against it, specially if it will help the citizens do transactions with the government much faster with their digital fiat. But I don't like it being force to the citizens though, at least India should not be anti-crypto. They should understand of all the countries, that this is a new technology that can shape the future of one of the largest population.
2576  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Canelo Alvarez vs Dmitry Bivol - May 7 on: May 01, 2022, 05:01:53 AM
I haven't seen Canelo underestimate his opponents though that's why he is very successful. His work ethics and attitude have been mold to really train with 100% and give his everything in every fight.
I have seen an exclusive interview, he seems to be arguing with demetrius andrade and Cenelo said some harsh words but he doesn't seem like the grumpy type, he is a very cold person and he will vent his anger with hard punches during boxing matches. So I think Canelo is very wise in discussions but as a normal person, patience also has its limits.

It's because Andrade has been calling out Canelo for the longest time. The problem with Andrade is that he has no bargaining power and so Canelo will obviously get mad at him because for him Andrade is just looking for a payday before he retires. So yes, he is calm but calculated boxer. And he always just wanted to fight the best just like Bivol in this weight class.

There's no doubt about that because even if Canelo would fight a certain boxer but the promoter sees it not a profitable fight, then that wouldn't happen. Boxing is business, we are always talking about profit over the personal interest of a fighter, and Canelo's job is just to fight, while the promoter's job is to ensure that the fight will generate the expected money.

Yes, that is another angle as well, not good revenue for the promoters, hence they are not willing to give the fight to Andrade. Although again, he is American, he is not well know as compare to the last fighters that Canelo fought. So doesn't make sense for Canelo so he chooses Bivol and then will go after GGG. So more money for him and his promoters.
2577  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Katie Taylor vs Amanda Serrano on: May 01, 2022, 04:00:39 AM
What a classic fight between the two, in the end it was Katie Taylor, edging Amanda Serrano in a split decision.

Scores were: Benoit Russell (96-94) had Serrano ahead, judges Glenn Feldman (97-93) and Guido Cavalleri (96-93) for Taylor.

Based on numbers the fight seems to be volume vs accuracy, but Taylor's accuracy was enough to win it for the 2 judges.
2578  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Shakur Stevenson vs Oscar Valdez Title Unification Fight (April 30) on: May 01, 2022, 03:30:01 AM
Anyone can share a link of the fight for free?  Grin

Anyhow, I agree that this fight is hard to bet because of the contrasting style, majority favors Valdez because of his power but the odds for Shakur is like went from 1.14 to 1.11. So again, smart money goes to Shakur but underdog bettors love the odds they see on Oscar but probably putting a small to medium bet, I reckon.

I guess it will just continue to exists in crypto space but I don't think it will have a real use unless the devs come back and revived the project.

So it will be just used by Elon to further his agenda, to make money and make his new company be the top social media in the market. But it might be good for those who have been holding Doge for a long time as it will make money for them.
