1581  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Jermell Charlo vs Tim Tszyu - Jan 28, 2023 on: December 29, 2022, 08:12:52 PM
I think that is the best option for him and his team, they have been camping in the US for months now and they don't want to shelved everything out of the window just because Jermell Charlo is not available anymore.

So the best thing is to look for boxers that is willing to take Tim, probably his very best version, go on and win this fight against this boxer, take a rest for a while and then grind it hard again whenever Charlo is available.
1582  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: We have been told: Invest only Extra money in bitcoin on: December 29, 2022, 07:43:06 PM
We have been told many times to invest only funds which you can afford to lose in bitcoins. But the question is that most of us do not have that extra funds to invest. So, what we do is we buy bitcoins from our savings, and from whatever money we get, we try to buy bitcoins. Middle class people do not have that EXTRA money WHICH THEY CAN"T AFFORD TO LOSE.

Yes, i invest in bitcoins but it is not EXTRA money and I am afraid I can't afford to lose. Do you have that EXTRA money that you can afford to lose  Huh

Of course, it's hard to follow this to the tee, the world is very different now, and if you don't know how to reinvent yourself to make extra money, then it's hard to invest on crypto. But what I do is that I invest 10% of my monthly income to bitcoin and bitcoin only, that's it, maybe a few altcoins, but majority is to bitcoin. But there were times that I can't invest that 10% because of some emergency that I uses all my fiat for expenses and others. But that's my rule, just 10% and I'm good with that, no pressure, whatsoever and I can still continue to invest on bitcoin with my 'extra' money. And I would say that it is very effective strategy to me.
1583  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin is on the Verge To Slice Through $30,000 on: December 29, 2022, 07:18:28 PM
It's possible, but it needs major support, or maybe a pump will happen shortly to reach the $30k price tag. Meanwhile, the current price is still under $20k and instead steady at $16k so this begs the question of how close it can start to increase. And I'm also still a bit doubtful if the price can start increasing step by step this December but that could happen after the new year. And hopefully after the new year, the price will get a nice increase and can return to the high price.
It seems to me that at this point we need to try to reduce the price we expect out of bitcoin during the next months, since bitcoin is unable to even surpass 20k so reaching 30k soon is going to be many times harder.

Now in the past we have seen that during the year before the halving the price has a tendency to recover, but I suppose we could see this during the second quarter of the next year, as we need some time for people to recover from all the bad news we have been getting during this year.

I think when we moved past our support of $20,000 that's where our expectations should be lower, I mean that is the biggest mental barrier for all of us, round numbers but then when it was broken and we did try to come back, but we are not that successful, then obviously, it will be very difficult time ahead of us and so we shouldn't expect something big to happen in 2023.

Another bear market and maybe we will see the final capitulation in this crypto winter, it could be around $10,000-$13,000, just saying. So we should be prepared for the worst and not expect a big jump in prices. Recovery might come later.
1584  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Chasing the big multipliers in soccer on: December 29, 2022, 10:11:30 AM
It didn't work, maybe it's easier to get those soccer surprises in events like the world cup, but for these 3 matches, I lose the six bets.

I try to do the same with basketball by placing bets in the draw chasing an x14 on each bet, but from 5 bets all lose too.

So, a lesson learned, big multipliers in sports are hard to get.

Yes mate, chasing for huge multipliers through parlays are very hard to get, even a 2 game bet parlay is already very difficult to predict, what's more if you bet 5 or more, the odds are not on your side.

Try this on tennis as well, maybe the most I got is predicting 5 games but that is one time only, and that is very very hard and probably I did get it because it's on early rounds so mostly rank players vs un-rank but still though there are the chance of an upset.
1585  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: December 28, 2022, 09:43:32 PM
It looks like Casimero needs to rank up in order for him to be noticed and become a mandatory challenger for the 122 lbs title and possibly have a match with Inoue.

He sure do need to go through the ranks before he can face any champions at 122 pounds and become a mandatory challenger because he doesn't have any perks that Naoya Inoue have. Aside from that, Casimero also don't have the likes of Bob Arum who do have strong ties to the governing bodies that will give him some favors. We don't need to prove that statement because it's already clear that political ties are far more important in this era.

Sadly yes, as much as we know that Casimero is a good fighter and I will say that his style bring fans to the seat to watch him because he is so flamboyant and brandish, he will have to go the old style of ranking up because meeting any of the champions at 122 pounds and maybe it can include Naoya Inoue that time. But we all know that he is not stranger to this kind of test, so for sure he will welcome it and then crush the competitions like what he did at bantamweight division before becoming a champion, the hard way, the better for him, not like Inoue who is given like a jumpstart and will fight the champion in his first move in the 122 pounds.
1586  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gervonta Davis vs Ryan Garcia on: December 28, 2022, 09:24:21 PM
The fight might be in jeopardy because of this news.

Quote
The 28-year-old Tank Davis (27-0, 25 KOs) was arrested on Tuesday, and a mug shot was taken of him by the police department.

It’s unknown at this stage whether Tank Davis’ arrest will impact his January 7th fight against the unbeaten Hector Garcia (16-0, 10 KOs) or, more importantly, his April 15th match against Ryan Garcia on Showtime PPV.

This isn’t the first time Gervonta Davis has had issues with law enforcement. In 2020, Tank was charged with battery. That same year in November 2020, he allegedly was involved in a hit & run accident.

https://www.boxing247.com/boxing-news/tank-davis-arrested-charged-with-battery/256144

So it might impact his fight with Ryan Garcia, and if this happens, then it's going to be a disaster for the promoters as they could have been spending millions already for promotion already Tank Davis will also have a tune up fight with Hector Garcia in the first week of January. Maybe this fight will be cancelled, but not sure how long will this case last that it could affect this fight as well.
1587  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Dogecoin Dead ? on: December 26, 2022, 11:32:59 AM

Quote
Dogecoin Price Losing the Grip as Elon Musk May Not Remain Twitter CEO for Long!

The Dogecoin price has been trading below the crucial 200-day MA since the beginning of the yearly trade. Meanwhile, the buying volume has fallen heavily. Also Today Elon Musk expressed his willingness to step down as Twitter CEO. He conducted a poll on twitter platform.

The Dogecoin price seems incredibly bearish and if Elon Musk quits as the Twitter CEO, the token may be badly impacted. Earlier Coinpedia made dogecoin price prediction for the end of 2023, as $0.158. But with current news it wants us to rethink and ask – is doge coin dead?

Elon musk losing grip of Twitter is not the reason behind dogecoin recent fall in price. As you can see, the market is in a very terrible state and so many coins have been badly affected, so I think dogecoin is having its own fair share of the market situation.

I don't think that Elon is losing grip of Twitter, on the contrary, he bought it already and now has full control of it. Doge has existed even before Elon put a hype of it, and so it will continue to exist even if Elon will not support it.

The market is terrible continue, I do agree, and so is the other coins as well including Bitcoin. And so when we had another bull run, for sure Doge could be one coin that will enjoy the support again and maybe reaches new all time high, with or without Elon hyping it.
1588  Other / Politics & Society / Re: The dark secret behind Elon Musk twitter purchase, he need to make himself “look on: December 26, 2022, 10:42:48 AM
Elon needs to look busy so he could justify his stealing of ideas from his nerd employees or from exploiting them. That's the gist of OP's whole post in one paragraph.

What's so "dark" in all of that? It's already an open secret that it's the lower ranked employees who does most of the handiwork and the top private individuals takes advantage of their skills or expertise to grow their own company. Capitalism.

Yeah, it's the very hard of capitalism, I mean this guy is worth billions so he can used that money to "influence" his employees to work for him under pressure and that's why he wanted to do and that is the main reason why majority of Twitter employees had left already.

And those who chooses to not want to lose their job will have to work under the pretense that all of the idea come from Musk himself. But if you look closely it was from his 9-5 regular employees who work very hard every day to deliver this so that their boss, Elon will be happy. That is the heart of US capitalism.
1589  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: December 26, 2022, 10:17:16 AM

Hopefully, it will be Inoue's decision that will prevail in the end, not Arum. Because that's what Inoue wanted in his 122 lbs, against the champion in Stephen Fulton.

And maybe at the back of the mind of Arum, his cash cow could be damage, but as we have seen Inoue's rise to fame, he has improved a lot so it's going to be a good match and I think he has a equal chances against Fulton or any champion at 122 lbs.

So bring Inoue to fight any one them and chase for another greatness in the super bantamweight division.
Looking forward to see this to happen, I would love to see Inoue moving up and try chasing for another greatness, 122lbs is not that far from his current domination and if he will decide to move up, he can quickly adjust and that chance of beating the current title holder is not by far. The only thing that might impact his decision not to move up is Arum. He fully understands the business and he won't let his cash cow to be in the wrong position.

He will try everything to make sure that he will continue to collect more money and not just a onetime big time and after that he might
missed more if Inoue suffered a loss.

Yes, that will be the plan for him and his team this 2023 and for sure Arum is on board on this one because he believed that he had another Manny Pacquiao in his hands. And we all know that he was the main architect on the Manny's rise to fame and going up divisions after divisions claim the belt and then continue to go up. Also he is a business man so he want to maximize his cash cow but then limiting the risk of him losing. Fulton vs Inoue would be great start next year for this super bantamweight division.
1590  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: December 26, 2022, 09:42:14 AM
Theoretically the way I look at it is that Nadal and Djokovic have pretty much developed their
game to the max whereas the younger generation and in particular Alcaraz are still developing.

Could be, we are already in 2022 era, so most likely this old guard will have to retire because they have max their potential already. To the point that when they tried, their body is no longer responding to them, the way we see on Federer and then it starts to deteriorate, wear and tear on this body caught up with the. But the good news is that we have a new set of players going to take over from them.

I would like to think that Alcaraz in 2023 will be much better than 2022 and should pose more
of a threat to everyone including Djokovic.

I agree, by leaps and bounds, sure in 2022 he had a break out run, but Alcaraz would dominate next year just like Djokovic did when he was younger. So it's good to see the old and the young generations fighting it out in any of the Grand Slams for next year.
1591  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Devin Haney vs Vasiliy Lomachenco on: December 26, 2022, 09:28:41 AM
Looking at the last fight of Loma, I think he is not in his prime anymore. The early 30s to mid-30s are the most common for most boxers to lose their primes. I believe Haney will be the stronger and faster guy and he will win against this version of Loma. As a huge fan of Loma since the start of his pro career, I hate to see him lose. Maybe Haney cannot make the weight and just move up. Cheesy.

Hate to say it, but yeah! Devin Haney has the advantage in all aspects in this match. He's young and hungry, while Loma has been slowing down and were most likely gonna see him more obvious being not on his prime anymore.
Just like Linares said, this is going to be a 60/40 in favour for Haney, as he is more quicker, faster, and has more punching power than Loma. Though Loma had a fantastic finish against Linares. But, who knows, Loma will improve somehow from his recent fights.

I'm not sure about the punching power category though, Haney is pillow fisted, while Loma has some power behind his punch. And if I'm not mistaken, both has face Linares before, Jorge Linares losing to them.

Yeah, he could have inside track of the two and could predict based on his experienced fighting them, but still very hard to predict even if Loma has a bad showing in his last game and we can't simply say that he is not in his prime anymore.
1592  Economy / Speculation / Re: Could this be the bottom of Bitcoin? on: December 25, 2022, 08:32:59 PM
All I can say is do not try to find the market bottom because you will end up losing, we are just entering 2023 and the bear market is still active, instead of trying to find the market bottom you can keep dollar cost averaging, you won't see it coming when the bear market is finally done for, trust me.
That is exactly right, no one can tell where the bottom of the bitcoin price will be or where the highest price will be in the future. If someone could predict the price of bitcoins, then surely they would have become rich, and they might not be human but could be gods Cheesy Cheesy. We just wasted more time trying to find a bitcoin bottom when we already have DCA, and catching bottoming with DCA is easier than ever.

There could be speculators who wanted to time the market and predict where the bottom will be, it's called TA and I think there's nothing wrong with it. The problem is that TA is not exact math, it's a hit or miss so that's where the gambling parts enter. We don't know if the price will move as they have plotted it, but when the price moves in the opposing direction, that's where they end up losing, and losing big money. But for us, we are just contend with doing DCA and buying at the dip, we don't need to look for the bottom. As long as we can accumulate overtime it will be good for us.
1593  Other / Off-topic / Re: Does anyone still survive? on: December 25, 2022, 08:15:41 PM
Everything that happens every year has great difficulties here, Do people realize that forums are starting to be left one by one? Undecided

Well we have survived the last bear market, and for me this is just similar, 2018 was also very hard for us, for me personally because I didn't do the correct thing that way. But now I fully adjustment that's why even in this bear market, it doesn't affect me like what happen to me in 2018.

And so I guess this is also the experience of some members here, we should go through all of this in 2023, could be worst, but at the end of the day, we learn it the easy or the hardway and so we are going to survived.
1594  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Devin Haney vs Vasiliy Lomachenco on: December 25, 2022, 07:43:25 PM
^^ Shakur will have his time, yes he is in his prime but this is a different weight class for him. Let the old dogs like Loma achieved what he has looking for in this division, get all the belts. And I think this is more interesting than a Shakur fight because Stevenson is somewhat a defensive fighter as well. So it will be somewhat boring to see both Haney and Shakur I reckon.

I will still give Loma a chance to win, yes, Haney might be in his prime and tall and long, but we have seen Loma fight this kind of fighters before and won thru his skills. So I will go with Loma probably in a decision.
1595  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing: Errol Spence vs Keith Thurman on: December 25, 2022, 12:35:44 PM
This is one of the most expected fights for next year. While Spence is being called out to defend the WSB Title, Thurman will do everything he can to take the title away from Spence. I expect to see a tight fight but believe Spence will defend the title until the end and will not allow Thurman to have an easy job. That said, I believe Spence will hold his title and come up with a win from this fight

For sure this fight will be the greatest fight in 2023 because in this division this two fighters is good and have an unstoppable record. But this fight for sure Spence will be the favorite for gamblers and the fans but this fight will be the best for thurman as they fight for the belt so thurman will do his best to beat spence to claim the belt and a champion as well but spence will do the same.

There are a lot of potential fights in 2023, like Fury vs Usyk for example, that is more exciting as this one. And so we can't be sure that this is the greatest or even considered greatest fight in 2023. But as gamblers, of course, any fight will be our favorite specially if the odds are going to be good and if we are going to bet for the underdog, it will be a big win for us. Let's wait for the official announcement, Spence is ok now after the vehicular incident and Thurman could be just waiting for this fight to be officially offered to him and see what is the numbers or the purse split.
1596  Other / Archival / Re: who played here? on: December 25, 2022, 12:07:21 PM
It seems unfamiliar to me even hearing it's (dexterbet) name today. It’s new launched gambling site on may,2022.
I think hundreds of trustworthy casino sites, if search on google you see lots of user's feedbacks. Don’t make deposit with unknown sites where your money can be stolen.

Yeah, and if you look at the response, majority haven't heard of this website, not even in the biggest community that we have, it's not even heard or registered here. And so it goes to say that this site might not be trustworthy, or if there is a good review that we can found, it could be paid though, so we need to be very careful. But if there is someone that will try to register and make a deposit and see how it goes, doesn't mean it's a good one. Reputation should be earn, and it's very hard to get it at the very beginning as this site will have to work it out to gain the trust of the gamblers here.
1597  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing: Errol Spence vs Keith Thurman on: December 23, 2022, 08:39:15 PM
I don't know whether this fight will happen or not. Recently there was a spat between Terence Crawford and Keith Thurman, in which the former accused the latter of running away from the fights. Anyway, before this, Thurman had announced that his opponent would be either Spence or Crawford. Since the Thurman vs Crawford fight can be ruled out for now, the only possibility is for a Spence vs Thurman fight. Also, Crawford scored a victory over David Avanesyan a few days back and is even more confident. So Thurman has reasons to avoid Crawford.

Yes, I also think that this fight may not happen. I do not know if Crawford still has trust left in PBC after he wasted nearly a year just to make a unification fight with Spence. Making another deal might be difficult since Thurman is with PBC and Showtime too.

I saw a lot of social media posts showing pictures of both Crawford and Ennis. It seems like they were backed by PBC in order to mislead the public that Crawford vs Ennis is the fight that needs to happen. But in reality, Ennis should be the IBF mandatory of Spence. Hence, it should be Spence and not Crawford. And besides, Ennis is also with PBC which makes sense for Spence.

Yes, 147 lbs is pretty much in the control of PBC right now, unfortunately, They have the 3 belt champion and then the upcoming fighter. Crawford is lead for nothing in the welterweight and might be fighting another B fighter in the level of Avenasyan next. And when we thought that him leaving Top Rank is going to be good for his career, it seems its is going on the opposite side since no one is going to negotiate for him under this powerful boxing promotions like Al Haymon's PBC.
1598  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing: Artur Beterbiev vs Anthony Yarde on: December 23, 2022, 08:11:09 PM
And the gap has widen now to some sports bookies, Yarde at 6:1 underdog, previously he was 5:1 and probably there are some whales putting huge money on Beterviev for that swing on the odds.

Nevertheless, they might not be wrong though, even our community thinks that Beterviev is going to win base on our votes.

So no surprises for the odds, but at 1.09, you have to put good enough money to felt your winnings here, hehehe.

It's just like the fight of Inoue and Butler at the bantamweight where the underdog, Paul Butler has the same ratio over the heavy favorite. Only the people who have massive cash on their pockets can afford to bet in times like these because just like what you've said, you need to put a huge bet to feel the profits in return. But for the likes of us, we can only afford to watch and enjoy their upcoming fight rather than betting on it.

Yarde is obviously the underdog here but we shouldn't still feel confident because most of the time, the underdog is more determined to win. I'm thinking of betting on Yarde but would still observe about his preparations for this match. It seems like Beterbiev also wants to maintain a good record so I must say that this is another exciting match.

Yes, not underestimating Yarde, but it will take everything for him to win this fight, and we can say that he needs to be lucky as well to hit that one punch that will knockout or knockdown Beterviev. But Arthur has a solid chin as well and has been in many wars with great fighters and still win despite being outpointed or outpunch. He just keeps on coming back and that is one trait why Beterviev is still unbeaten and perfect, because of that kind of mentality and will to win despite having some problems maybe in the beginning of his every fight.
1599  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Caleb Plant vs David Benavidez on: December 23, 2022, 07:26:44 PM
I don't see any improvement on Caleb Plant though, it's really based on who he is going to fight. For the Anthony Dirrell's fight, we see that Dirrell has no respect on Caleb's power and that was his own wrong doing. And so when Caleb throws that left hook, it was perfect and Dirrell just caught it with his face.

Maybe he has a new trainer and probably executing good techniques, but when he goes on another situation that his back is against the wall or has been hit so much, he will go back to his old style.

And so he will be an open book once again if he goes back to his old style, it's also obvious that David's camp has been studying Plant's new techniques/style that he may have picked from his new mentor and the same to his old ways as well. Also, even if we say that Plant has successfully overcome the young blood, what will be his next step? Face Canelo again where his chances are still the same and will lead him to another dead end. Anyway, that's unlikely because this David got the upper hand because of his exemplary skills that might give Canelo some hard time.

Agree! If Plant's strategy got compromised and he will go back to his old style then he might be dominated knowing Benavidez is really aggressive and he can bring Plant lots of aggressive punches that may land to Plants critical areas, it's interesting if how both will showcase their talents once they are already inside the same ring.

That is expected because it's already given that David will come prepared against Plant, now I'm curious what Plant will do to be in the limelight again. On the other hand, given that David's true aim is Canelo, then it's safe to say that he won't be giving some advantages to Plant that will push him in the corner. Either way, it's up to Plant and David if how will they play their scenarios to have a upper hand until the fight ends.

They say he has a new trainer and made some adjustments and take he is not more technically sound. But so is David, with his father at this side and yeah, Canelo is the plan after all and might be seeing Caleb as just another obstacle that they need to get rid, by whatever means, knockout of decision win.

So Canelo could be watching this fight on the sideline if this is going to be made early.

As we have been saying, we love to see Alvarez vs Benavidez next, and let's see if Canelo doesn't want to fight another Mexican or he will be force to if Benavidez wins here.

For me I have bitcoin that I've been holding and I will wait till the next bull run to at least see how profitable it will be.

But there are bitcoin that I'm willing to sell, just to enjoy this Holiday with my families and friends. This is the time wherein we should enjoy the fruits of our hardship for the whole year so there's nothing wrong with selling, but you still have some that you HODL for the next all time high.

So again, don't make it hard for yourself, just have fun and take it easy this Christmas.
