2561  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Who is really controlling the Bitcoin market. on: January 03, 2022, 09:01:23 PM
People always say that they are are waiting for the price of Bitcoin go down before they go into the market for trading and at the same time nobody can predict the market.
Now is the market been manipulated? Or it all depends on the numbers of investors who invested.
There is something we need to understand about Bitcoin.
The more the demand of Bitcoin the more the increase take place. Can anyone predict the market?
Because people are waiting for the decrease in price and are they predicting the market or not?
I don't think have a better understandingn on how Bitcoins

I believe the market is controlled by whales, as they're the ones who can do almost anything with their large stake of coins. With Bitcoin, centralized exchanges can easily manipulate the price as they control a large portion of its supply. The situation is even worse with Proof-of-stake altcoins, as not only the price can be manipulated by whales, by also the underlying blockchain network. It's all about money these days, so those with the most amount of money will be able to move the market in their favor. Consider how Dogecoin went to the moon because of Elon Musk's shilling across social media platforms. The same happens with Bitcoin and any other cryptocurrency on the market.

It's not a matter of who's controlling the market, but rather how decentralized Bitcoin is. As long as Bitcoin remains decentralized and censorship-resistant, nothing else matters. Just my thoughts Grin
If that you've said it was fully controlled by whales then it wasn't decentralized anymore. But I guess, not. I tend to agree that whales' participation has a huge influence on the market price, the most common reason for its fluctuation but this never meant they are in the fullest control of the market. They can do things like manipulation as they are incapable of doing it and I understand that, and it is sad to say that we are not at the level where the market is 100% decentralized now, not anymore. And besides, when talking about anonymity, we are also breaching it closely as major crypto exchanges are into the ask of it.
2562  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: When Bull Market will Start on: January 03, 2022, 02:58:58 PM
We are in the first week of January and yet nothing is new in Bitcoin price instead this remains at 46-47k dollars so what more you can expect?

Bull market in January seems to be not happening, and ATH in 2022? this is 11 more months to predict so i think lets be enough to what is bitcoin performing now.
important thing is we are now taking a chance of a better market because of adoption that is happening from countries to big companies.

As I presume bull market will not going to happen in the earlier of this year but hopefully by the Q1 any good sign of recovery of the market should take place but still no one knows when will exactly bull trend gonna take place. However, bitcoin resistance didn't break even after the unexpected price correction so I am very optimistic that we will gonna expect a new ATH by this year I am not that certain on the possible amount it will attain but hopefully a record breaking ATH.

The bull market will come at the right time but the 1st week of this year, I think there's still a correction and the market will continue to look bearish, as a result, people will get tired of holding and they'll do panic selling. That kind of scenario happened in the past, I will not be surprise if it will happen again this time.
Yeah and I don't think we can easily make a pass on this too fast but what we probably are seeing is a slow recovery, at least it was consistent. I assume that everything will be fine and working for the development of their project as it going to believe that this was a big factor to get attention and gain confidence with their investors to make a profit. We are expecting a Bull market, and yes, it can be soon at any moment. I have faith and I think we have to use this, otherwise.

2563  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Future of the NFTs on: January 03, 2022, 02:16:20 PM
In 2021 we only see NFT popular with the gaming industry. My hope is that in 2022 we can see NFT in other industries develop for the better and more successful. Maybe the art industry or film? or even a letter of legality such as a home or company certificate? Looks like it's going to be interesting.
That looks very interesting, however, we can't make a final word that NFT's will have a better future or have good deeds. How I wish they could but look, some NFT's were worthless and they are dying now after the hypes. I'll be expecting more, someday.

Well, anyway, we have to think and NFT's projects are not all has the market utility, many were just shit projects. I can't assume that these NFTs will have a better future nor they are totally bad. What I can say is that there seems to be the same as ICO, IEO, Defi, and etc... where some have succeeded while the others are resting soo fast.
2564  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Casimero vs Butler ordered by WBO on: January 03, 2022, 12:31:33 PM
What we need to think is, if Casimero will lose in that match, a face-off against Naoya Inoue won't be possible.

Very much likely it's not going to happen If Casimero losses to Butler. Infact, Inoue has lost interest in facing Casimero after he got diagnosed with viral gastritis due to weight loss.
https://www.google.com/amp/news.abs-cbn.com/amp/sports/12/24/21/inoue-says-lost-interest-in-casimero-fight
I guess Inoue don't want to fight with an opponent who already has a reason why his opponent lost the fight. The Monster may want an opponent who is 100% healthy without any recent medical conditions relating to the fight preparations.
Let's just hope Casimero will win in this fight or else he'll miss the opportunity to fight with the Japanese rising boxing superstar.

I think that's just his excuse so he cannot fight Casimero. Even before, he wasn't so willing to fight Casimero as he always tell that it depends on his promoter and now he had that kind of statement, I doubt he is not a real monster as we all know.

Or another way to hype the possibilities of the upcoming fight between Casimero and Inoue.

Casimero just need to beat Butler and then again make some trash talks online to call the attention of Inoue.
We know how keen Casimero to have that chance fighting the Monster.

Everything will be possible after this fight. We just have to wait for this one, then discuss another once it was done.

Looks like for Casimero beating Butler is not a problem. He beat Tete, so there's no reason he can't beat Butler. The question here is, if Casimero will win, will Inoue would finally say yes to their big fight?  My guess is maybe 40% he'll accept because he is not so confident he can beat Casimero based on his actions and statements.
2565  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Errol Spence Jr vs. Yordenis Ugas 3-Belt Welterweight Unification Match on: January 03, 2022, 12:01:12 PM

Ugas won against Manny because he was able to maintain his distance against Manny. Of course Manny is not the old Manny anymore when they met. But credits to Ugas for the win. But in this fight against Spence Jr. I think Spence is a busy boxer. And he will probably outpoint Ugas.

Age finally caught with Pacquiao there's the news and it was confirmed that he suffered from leg cramps, making him hard to move and throw punches, Ugas is fighting a fighter who is at the prime of his career, who always dominate a fight, Ugas is a technical fighter in some ways but Spence is an all-around great boxer in the ring, like Crawford he is flawless, after the match I see Spence winning another version of the welterweight.

Spence is good but he does not dominate all his fights. Look at his fight against Porter, he struggles although he won in the end, but it was a split decision where Porter also have some moments where he hurt Spence, I'm afraid if Spence will fight Crawford, he will lose because Crawford is faster than him.
2566  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: January 03, 2022, 11:38:42 AM
It must be mentioned a lot in here enough but nevertheless I can't get over how cool it was that DeRozan hit two buzzer beaters back to back in two days. He has grown so much this season as in being a very solid scorer and a very dependable player. Bulls are 24-10 right now. They will still get over the Bucks to get to NBA Finals and still, if they can get to the finals, the team from western conference will be a very strong opponent. I feel like a team from west might get the championship this year.
He is playing like when he was in Toronto where him and Lowry are the leaders of the team.
In fact, he is the first player in NBA history that did 2 consecutive buzzer beaters and to do that is very hard. It just shows how the Bulls are trusting him in the most crucial seconds of the game.

The Bulls is a playoff contender no doubt about it but I don't think that they are enough to win a championship. I mean there is the Suns team and another is the Bucks and another is the Warriors and the Nets team. Well, its too early to predict but what can I say is that the Bulls are just one of the most surprising teams right now alongside Cavaliers Smiley.

They are now in the conversation in the NBA Finals because they are really doing very well. DeRozan and Lavine, these two will be unstoppable in the playoffs, and as long as their teammates will also contribute especially their big man, their lineup is strong enough to beat the Nets and the defending champion.
2567  Economy / Economics / Re: Digital asset is for holding on: January 02, 2022, 11:42:24 PM
Some people invest with short-term profits in mind. They see how volatile Bitcoin is, for example, and focus on those rare occasions when it gains value very fast, and so they buy and wait to sell for profit as soon as possible. Of course, I agree with the op that if investment in the goal, one should have patience and be prepared to invest long-term, but sometimes people just want the profits and are driven by it.
If one wants to have profits on a regular basis with some guarantees, one should get a job rather than invest or start a business.

The difference only lies in the end result. When people take the short term in their investment, he needs extra time to set the time to buy and sell to get a significant profit but for those who don't want to be complicated, you have to be patient with the long-term choice. Because the final result was also very extraordinary saying at the beginning of 2010 BTC only worth 1 $ 21 years after the value was 46k $. 46,000% of the profits achieved.
But the sad truth is that only a few people do and take hold for that long while the majority are selling off during the start of the bullish season. I sell my crypto in early 2021 but I don't be in regret it since I was still in profit which is very important. But I am supposed to think now that the more we hold (for many years) we even received more prizes in the end. But only we can do this if we have multiple sources of income to cover up our daily needs, if that so, not seem so hard to do it. This is actually why rich people can hold and never touch their cryptos.
2568  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: bull run on: January 02, 2022, 11:03:27 PM
I am really happy for the development of cryptocurrencies, we are seeing changes very quickly. These should normally be reflected in the price, and we could even come up to 100 thousand dollars in the last rise. If the Chinese fuds had not started. When you look at it now, the volume in the crypto-market has decreased due to the economic uncertainty in the world. I believe that this volatility will reverse in the coming months. The volume will be reflected in cryptocurrencies again.
It wasn't the Chinese FUDs makes the market price decline, more often it will going to happen during the Christmas holidays. But the good thing is that people aren't spending much for this, instead, they keep holding and even buying more as taking the opportunity while prices are dumped. Moving ahead, we further look at this year 2022 as another great year in crypto, (might) be still bullish. I hope I couldn't be wrong, in fact, as we look on the market now, eventually we are increasing since day 1 of this year, which kinda be a sign of positivity.
2569  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: HODL is the way on: January 02, 2022, 02:20:36 PM
Holding the coins that are owned is indeed a good thing, especially if we hold coins that have a good prospects. Rushing into action is not good but we cannot continue to regret what has happened. I don't think all coins are good to hold, there are some trash coins that even go down if you hold them so be careful not to choose bad coins because it will only give you losses. I suggest if you want to get the profit then hold on to a coin that is trusted and the prospects are also good, but I realize that choosing it is a difficult thing.
And that is why we have to choose the best one. Doing research is the only way to make things right and will choose to hold those coins that we trusted, not those shitcoins and fake projects. But I think we don't just end up holding forever, NO, it is sometimes we need to improve our portfolio through having some trade. If we wanted to make it more profitable, we rather have to choose to take more risk than usual holding we do. I know it was hard but, if we are motivated to do it, that can't be hard anymore...it is all about how we dream more of ourselves.
2570  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Gary Russell vs Mark Magsayo WBC Featherweight Title on: January 02, 2022, 12:28:00 PM
Despite being a champion, he shouldn't still be too confident because Magsayo is preparing hard for this fight. 2 years is a long time rest for Russell so it might be the edge of Magsayo who has been continuously doing matches for years. The result is honestly quite unpredictable but I'm sure that this will be an exciting fight.

Still even if he is a champion or even he is known as undisputed fighter he still needed to prepare for his upcoming fights and not be overconfident on what kind of opponent he is going to fight with. It is better to be prepared than being overconfident if Magsayo is really looking to win this fight. Which in fact, Garry Russell is not also a small fighter that he need to be confident, I believe this fight will be a difficult fight for both fighters but I am also rooting to Mark Magsayo to win this fight.

It's okay to be confident but never underestimate an opponent whether you are a champion or not. It's necessary to ensure that proper training is done since this is a championship fight, and the loser here will lose the chance to have bigger fights in the future. For Magsayo as a challenger, he should give everything he has for this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.
2571  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Gary Russell vs Mark Magsayo WBC Featherweight Title on: January 02, 2022, 11:51:30 AM

I guess that depends on the promoter handling Rusell, if they are not active in marketing him then he can't do anything but wait until a good fight is given to him, and this time, he gets a good opponent that came from a very impressive victory. The fact that Rusell is a champion, I don't want to question him anymore as I expect he is a great fighter and that is a great challenge for Magsayo.

Handlers affect each fighter, no question about that.

The boxer will fight when handlers already sign a deal for him, not sure what kind of promoter Russell have
but yes, he is a champion good enough to say that he is also a tough contender.

Magsayo will be tested with this fight and both of them will receive a good hype whoever wins this fight.

Not sure if Russell is under any promotional management though, and that is the main reason why he only gets one fight a year because no one is looking for him as he chooses to be some sort of freelance. Nevertheless this is a good fight that he and Magsayo secure. And I will consider this maybe an early fight of the year candidate if it really goes out as what we are all expecting, a volume and speed puncher against a power boxer in Magsayo. In will be a clash and who ever landed the big punch first will likely win the contest.

Is it possible that a boxer is not under a promotional business? I mean, how can he get a fight if no one is promoting him, I think everyone works with a promotional management but not all of them are popular I guess. That actually it needs for the sake of having a known opponent, it is something like we need to market ourselves and get a buyer.
2572  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Whats the point hodling, if you can't risk it all? on: January 01, 2022, 11:42:56 PM
IMO hodling is a strategy that doesn't mean holding the coin forever in your wallet. Of course it mean buying and then waiting for the pump. How much pump you want is entirely upto you. There are people who bought bitcoin at 10k and waiting for 100k they are still hodling. ROI is upon you.
Everyone have his own understanding about hold or hodl, so the two words are the same meaning provided that this community of bitcointalk remain constant, when holding aoin its base on the target of the person who is holding the coin particularly, I'm not disputing the fact majority objectives to hold a coin is not because of increment, but holding a coin that has potential is at advantages to the owner.
In many cases, holding is the best option that to do trading if we wanted to keep safe of our funds. But people think it was risky, well, it all was risky in the first place, nothing guaranteed safe but at least we do something to help it. Hold, hodl, or whatever it is, we do this just because we are hoping that someday this could save us in terms of the financial crisis.
Do holding is an option but I encourage people to do just like we did. We can't neglect the risk but nothing will happen in our life if we always think and worry about it. We should have to face the reality, nothing is easy for now.
2573  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin upgraded my financial life on: January 01, 2022, 10:03:54 PM
It is the usual thing but is relative, if a professional has no income and you if thanks to bitcoin it is only circumstantial, the fact that he is a professional without work and your who earns bitcoin and that allows you to be well economically, it is simple it works for you .

bitcoin has to be a financial mechanism that manages to establish our priorities of control over our assets, after that if investments or income allow us to obtain benefits is cool. In any case, that is the enthusiasm that bitcoin should have with any user who has just arrived or has known him for a long time.
And certainly, it works for me...

I've been through this situation, I have a stable job and I have also Bitcoin but I can't imagine that I can make more money from crypto if compared to my salary. It was pretty obvious that if I become financially stable (not yet), I could say that it was because I was in crypto, not because of having a stable job. In fact, if we are in trading, that something becomes unlimited. That is really a big opposite, we can just rely on our job alone if we wanted to make our life become financially stable, it is a need to have multiple sources of income.
2574  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Best crypto sportsbook for 2021 on: January 01, 2022, 01:25:46 PM
I like the result so far, there's a close competition between stake and sportsbet. Well, I voted for sportsbet as I am already gambling with the site before stake.com even exist, they are only new less than 3 years IIRC but stake is improving a lot and this is nice competition is good for the gamblers.

Allow me to great. HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!
2575  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Gary Russell vs Mark Magsayo WBC Featherweight Title on: January 01, 2022, 12:51:50 PM
I do agree plus the fact that Russell is not so active inside the ring could bring him trouble against a hungry challenger in Magsayo.

Russell averages 1 fight per year it's only on this year, he doesn't have a fight. I don't think we can call Russell inactive for that. He doesn't rest for over 2 years that's why I don't take that inactivity this year as his disadvantage.

But as fellow PH, I'm looking forward to Magsayo winning. I hope him being hungry, will be the new champion on that big night.

His last fight was in February 2020, so that's almost 2 years already that he has not fought. Some boxers fought 2 to 3 times a year that's why some think that Russell is inactive due to his low fights average per year. And no doubt, everyone's rooting for the Filipino challenger to win and we are taking the underdog here.

That's really some inactivity, 2 years is a long layoff and yes, it could affect Russell negatively. Just look at how active Canelo is, fighting twice or even thrice if his schedule will permit. So for me this is a disadvantage for Russell. He may be quick but if you are inactive then maybe that speed will not be there, just saying so Magsayo has a good chance to beat Russell specially if he can land early on Russell and proved to him that he has a serious power and not just an easy comeback opponent for him.

That's a disadvantage to him but he is still the champion and we can't underestimate him. I don't like to be so hype with Magsayo, but his opponent here is a real champion and could beat him if he does not improve his skills in boxing. We all saw what happen during his last fight, we were disappointed in the early rounds but he finish it with a nice KO win.

It could either go that way if you have a good knock out punch. As we can see in his previous fight, it was ugly but in the end, he manages to escape with a win with those big knock out. If he doesn't have that power, maybe he could have lost easily.

But against Russell, it's hard to just rely on one single punch to change the fight in his favour. He needs to train very hard and his team could have a good strategy as well.

As most fans said that this is the biggest fight of Magsayo, so we cannot compare it with his previous fight where he won, this is different because he is the underdog or the challenger for the title. Russell may not ring a bell for some because he was inactive, but we cannot change the fact that he is still a champion and he beat his past opponents to get to where he is now.
2576  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: It is possible to make a profit by trading on: December 31, 2021, 11:28:47 PM
I have been trading for a long time. However, it is not always possible to benefit. In some cases there is a possibility of loss. After facing huge losses, I have benefited again after a long time. Bought 3k$ from a seller with current price of k 10k$. However, the dollars have not been set at present. Currently using trading. So I think the most beneficial. What do you think?
if trading wasn't beneficial to traders, we can never think that they will stay there and keep on trading. But they did and that simply it means trading is profitable. Can't say they earn a profit everyday as not all are day traders but at least, we could see that many of these traders went succeed and have a better life after getting into this field, it is somewhat to see there are positive results than seeing negatively a far different from what the others are saying.
And yes, I have to confirm that...
2577  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Casimero vs Butler ordered by WBO on: December 31, 2021, 02:40:25 PM

Let's talk about the potential Inoue vs Casimero fight after this fight, if Casimero will be successful, there's no other fight that would fit him than Inoue, so as a fan, we should expect that the mega-fight we are waiting for will happen and as what the odds suggest, Casimero is an underdog so I like that much.

We've been talking about that a lot this year, and it looks like we always believe that Casimero will win in every fight so he would have a chance to fight Inoue. Against Rigo, I thought that was a tough fight for Casimero but it doesn't look like a real competition as Rigo is just running around to score, unfortunately for him, he still loses the fight, but here, Butler is a warrior so these two warriors will go toe to toe which makes it interesting.
2578  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Gas prices with ETH will i ever get my money back? on: December 30, 2021, 10:00:09 PM
so its been a month and i want to pull my 50$ out of my trust wallet but clearly thats not happening with the Network fees unless i spend another 50 bucks?!!?? is there hope to get my money back one day?
I can't imagine paying $50 for just a single transaction as based on my previous transactions it only just cost less than $15. But if that really happens to you, I think you don't need to move it and the last option is for you to wait until the gas fee will decrease. It is really hard to imagine how it goes like that and that to move only $50 is not worthy anymore, I'd rather save my additional $50 if that is so.
I believe this is a common issue in the market today and I hope this could get attention to Vitalik and help this thing out and make a long-term solution as earlier as possible.
2579  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What Crypto Projects Will Be 100X In 2022? on: December 30, 2021, 09:07:48 PM
...
In your opinion, which crypto projects will be 100X in 2022?
All of them have the probability to make reach 100x in the future but I'm not sure if that will happen next year and that only if the market is bullish. Unfortunately, we are even not sure what will happen by 2022 but I suggest to stop thinking that way as it might only disappoint you if ever it won't come. But based on my observations mostly new projects will be in hypes during their launch time, it gonna be the best choice. However, we are also taking the high risk as not all of them are in that position and sometimes were also a failure.

Speaking of naturalized players' concern with PBA as Blatche seems interested to play, the PBA Chief Marcial now gave his side regarding that.

Naturalized players might get a chance in PBA, but not soon–Willie Marcial

The reason is so simple and it makes sense, "it would tilt the balance of power in a huge way".
The explanation seems to be saying that the chance is very low, and it's not gonna happen.
It could be similar to the statement of Coach Tab Baldwin that one import is a mistake, he wants at least two but PBA does not find the statement helpful.

https://www.spin.ph/basketball/pba/pba-single-import-conferences-a-big-mistake-says-tab-baldwin-a2437-20200612

Blatche should just wait for the Commissioners Cup and apply as an import.
The best thing to do and I'm sure he'll not dominate as he is not getting any younger.
