Just tried to access the site "cluster upgrade" in progress. Was about to check if the payout button was functional yet.
2582  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Poloniex got hacked!? on: July 01, 2016, 05:09:31 PM
Poloniex is exchanging ETH. Anyway, they are fucked now. They own like 10% from ETH.  LOL

If ETH goes down, Poloniex is going after them too;  so, be careful where you keep your funds Grin

it seams Kraken is fucked too. they have "millions" worth of ETH
Always assume that everyone and everybody is trying to scam you, that way you will be lessen the risk of being scammed. Therefore be careful always. It is not shocking that Poloniex got hacked anything in our modern time is vulnerable to hacking.

the loss can be huge. Poloniex owns over 10% from ETH.

There is no hack and the Ethereum price is still above $10 even after the DAO hack.

Which is a small wonder in itself, that the price is still above 10.
2583  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: If you were rich, would you still gamble? on: July 01, 2016, 01:07:07 AM
If I were rich, I'd probably choose another way to interact with gambling - buying a casino Cheesy

This guy gets it Smiley you get a cookie, good sir.

2584  Other / Off-topic / Re: Average Age of Bitcoin users on: June 30, 2016, 09:46:38 PM
Given the level of technological sophistication it takes to use bitcoin (not that hard but it's quite user unfriendly compared to PayPal or a banking site), ID say 18-35, and most likely white males. But, a lot of kids are familiar with bitcoin, and I feel they skew the average age down, but are outliers if you consider the amount of btc they hold collectively (very little).
2585  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Where can I keep my BTC during the halving? on: June 30, 2016, 09:42:35 PM
I normally leave my BTC in Polo so I can exchange them whenever I want.
During halving I was wondering whether this is advisable, or is better to keep them in cold storage.
What do you think about? Any suggestion?
Thanx to everyone!

In an address that only you have the keys to, in a cold wallet. Even if you plan on speculating on the price, hear my words: alot of zany bitcoin heist have been going down lately as we approach the halving. I'm telling everyone to be extra vigilant at the moment, your bitcoin are very precious right now and I think the bad guys are aware of this.
2586  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: HashOcean Down? on: June 30, 2016, 09:36:19 PM
It's always very interesting to me how long it takes some people to filter here after a massive theft or scam. Firstly is how did you even find out about crypto, if for not this board, and secondly some of these sites/assets exist solely in this forum for all practical purposes. If you didn't hear about it here, you didn't hear about it. We had Gox dudes showing up a month later talking about account access issues. Maybe it's me, but I constantly check on my investments, even the long term ones. I can see a day late, but bearing personal issues (crypto isn't everything) I can't understand coming to the party multiple days late.
2587  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Is eobot a scam? on: June 30, 2016, 09:31:20 PM
I personally use robot to mine and i have no problems

Can you tell us more about this mining robot? Is it cheaper than an S9, and does it beep when you submit a share? I may have been looking at this wrong, I though I needed a bitcoin miner this entire time when I actually needed a small mechanical mining man to earn btc.
2588  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Want to send BTC anonymously? Use this btc tumble site! on: June 30, 2016, 09:27:28 PM
Hey guys. I found a bitcoin tumbler site some days ago on a bitcoin forum.

For those of you who don't know what a bitcoin tumbler is, it's a service that promises to send your bitcoins anonymously to a receipt for a small fee. This is useful for any transactions you plan to leave un traced (whether they are white hat or black hat). It does this by transferring your coin between numerous wallets automatically.

Anyways, this particular site was good for me since it was quick and easy. They also have reliable customer service with a live chat, so it was nice knowing there were real people behind the tumbler. In addition, the guy who runs the site says he has over 2 years of experience with bitcoin tumbling, so it's pretty trustworthy. I was able to send 0.75 btc within the hour,.

The site can be found here. Unfortunately, I couldn't find the forum link.

btctumble.com

If you guys have any questions, I'll try to answer them, since I plan on using the service again for a few more transactions throughout the week. I'll keep you posted on what else happens.

I hope this helps you guys out.

EDIT: My mistake. I was under the impression that there was a number, but they have a live chat instead.

Not being salty, but what is your motivation for telling us about this awesome service? Do you get referral credit? Also, did you create this account in order to tell us about this service?
2589  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: got an email from HashOcean on: June 30, 2016, 09:23:54 PM

I think this is their way to say they are not scammer the sites are hack or something but the truth is not.. but if hash ocean are saying the truth better to give back all invested by people if they are saying the truth this is just like the same as scrypt.cc..

Folks, it does not take money to get a refund. Obvious reason why this is obvious: if the hackers have stolen the database, they could simply use the information to claim the refunds themselves. So no company would propose this as an actual solution. For refunds in situations like this with real products, you simply have to provide proof of purchase. Not pay money. Honestly, what good sense would it make to give money to people that have proven they don't know how to hold money?
2590  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: GAW / Josh Garza discussion Paycoin XPY xpy.io ION ionomy. ALWAYS MAKE MONEY :) on: June 30, 2016, 09:19:10 PM

typical Josh Homero Garza, Former CEO of criminal GAW Miners, scammer, now CEO of Vision Innovations http://visioninnovations.co.in/ - be very careful dealing with this criminal

I feel strongly that this is a stock photo from an obscure service, or one of his friend's legit job's office. They might sell tongue depressers here for all we know.

2591  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Someone received a email from Hashocean about refund? on: June 30, 2016, 09:12:36 PM
https://www.facebook.com/oceanhash

I send email they and wait for answer. 3880 Hs to refund  Angry
Hey, what are you doing? HashOcean sending a scams email to their users to gather another bitcoin from their users and after this, they want to take and running the bitcoin of their users.

lmao let him what he actually want to do , it is not our responsibility to make and give a warning to them . let him lose his money again and fall into the trap of hashocean  Grin Grin

Amen. Even in a time of despair, it doesn't do to give in to desperation and make irrational decisions. Send more money to the folks that just lost all my money? Bully on that.

Cut your losses, friend.

Amen to what now?  Is it leave the guy to make a mistake or do we advise him to cut his losses?  I'm confused.

If one hasn't wizened up to this being a a scam by now, one still hasn't learned the lesson being taught ATM. So, amen to a fool and his money soon parting. Apparently, it's cyclical. But, I offered a nugget of wisdom at the end because I'm not completely rotten. Just mostly.
2592  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Do Hashocean company will close on: June 30, 2016, 09:06:47 PM
This is not an everyday event (700 000) people's money getting stolen. So lets see what tomorrow brings . . .

I think it's really very hard or even impossible that Hashocean will come back, it's gone with a very big amount of stolen Bitcoins unluckily.

I don't know why, but the owners of HashOcean are working on the website: They have said it will be back on 29th or 30th (not sure if true)
Last update of database: Tue, 28 Jun 2016 18:49:55 GMT (this is ongoing for the last few hours - time keeps changing - they are busy updating database of the website)

Why are scammers trying to get HashOcean members login information?

People often use the same logins across multiple sites. That's how I got my first intrusion Smiley
2593  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ETH touching cloth of $14 tonight on: June 30, 2016, 06:50:44 PM
Eth will test 3- 1USD.

It is testing the $13 at the moment. It might take a few more months to test the $1 to 3  range, but maybe never.
Back up 18% in last 24H and again touching cloth of $14.

The price is $13, it holds quite well when the bitcoin price dropped 20% recently. Maybe because it dropped already.

It held quite well in the last few days, but it started to drop again to around $12 now. Any big bad news?

Something is wrong with the new soft fork software. So the soft fork is paused pending new amendment.

Yet the price hasn't reacted as it did during the Reddit DAOwar debacle. Why isn't the volatility there anymore? This market reacts on the slightest news historically. In other words, what is sustaining the price at the moment? I don't think the price movement is natural.
2594  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: DOA or NEM? on: June 30, 2016, 06:46:46 PM
Given the current, in progress debacle that is the slock.it DAO, is it really all that bright to invest into smart contract corps at the moment?

Methinks we should give this a little time to work out the bugs. Who buys the prototype version of a project anyway? First gen things are notoriously ridden with bugs.
2595  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ETH = Game Over on: June 30, 2016, 06:43:29 PM
I see that the reality of the situation is reflected in the price now, I feel people that are actually tracking this asset are psychologically exhausted with the DAOwar fiasco. I don't know what was propping the price up to this point, but I think we will start to see s gradual downtrend now.
2596  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: HashOcean disapeared and scammed 700,000 users ? ! on: June 30, 2016, 03:47:28 PM
+1200 supporters for the moment , I don't think It's enough. https://www.change.org/p/fbi-fbi-hashocean-700-000-people-swindled Sign for a change guys.

I don't think the FBI doesn't have to do with it. It is because that they also know what the risk of investing with those kinds of investment.
And they can't really run after them just to chase the people behind hash ocean.
Just learn the lesson from that incident.

even though the FBI would care about it and about cyber crime, and even though they would managed to caught them, there would be no chance people to take their money back..  so it's all pointless..

even they are caught by the FBI the money is still cannot be refunded because the only possible thing is that they have transfered it to another person and i don't think that the FBI would mind about this big scam it is just a fault of those stupid people who invested in hashocean Grin

Nah, this is pretty serious. As people file complaints in various jurisdictions, the import will build to the point were the FBI has no choice but to investigate. Remember, they get to fine you if they catch you Smiley they have a very large incentive to go after these guys.

I just got my refund in 3 hours from Hashocean guys.  Grin Cheesy All informations about refund are there : https://www.facebook.com/Hashocean-1727486500845895/ Share with your referrals !

2598  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Total BTC lost at Hashocean.com ponzi? on: June 30, 2016, 03:41:58 PM
We do our job with this forum to remind you always to dont fall with the promises of ponzi. But all of you is too greedy you don't believe our warning.
Well this is not our fault but many people are still investing..we already know that because we already experience of scam by other sites the same as this  service.. so we are just sharing our experience about cloud mining site but they are investing because many people are investing and i think pro investors or not newbie about this they already know this and they are sharing their referral links they are attracting them to the referral so they will earn without investing.. but as many as people are investing more people will experience of scam just like this.. and i hope they learn..

Ultimately, you find it easier to let other people do the work on faucets/ mining services/gambling platforms. Much cheaper to pay for a placed ad to get 20 or so refferals that actually perform, than to actually gamble/mine/ spend time using a faucet.
2599  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: HashOcean.com - Cloud Mining Service on: June 30, 2016, 03:38:38 PM
If hashocean will really come back. They've already tried to communicate to all in their investors and tell whats really happened but i think there's no real support from hashocean.  Grin Grin

it is obvious that they are not going to come back because they have already stole the money of their miners  Grin Grin they are just trying to make them calm then after a few months or maybe a few weeks they will stop on sending an email .

I am of a similar mind. I feel this refund gesture might be a play for more time, them getting the first wave processed and then suddenly disappearing of the face of the web. We will see however, if they do people right by this, shit, I may invest here myself. I doubt this is going to end well, however.

So to confirm for everyone following this, they refunded you your whole stake, within three hours, including the "refund charge"? I swore up and down this was false, I may have been mistaken but I still have my doubts. This whole thing is going down odd, and was timed weird.
