1661  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Would you eat a human? on: March 05, 2017, 02:11:57 PM
What is similar to human flesh?  In his 1931 book "The ways of the jungle" American traveler and journalist William Buehler Seabrook gives the most detailed in the history of the written description of the taste of human flesh. Seabrook said that raw human meat looks like beef, but less red, a pale yellow oil.  Roasted meat also becomes grayish, as would happen with lamb or veal, and smells like cooked beef. As for taste, Seabrook writes that the meat was almost like "good, fully disclose the veal, so I think - one with normal, conventional flavoring sensitivity could not distinguish it from veal."

So my question is, if someone cooks up human meat with all the necessary spices and salts, and serves it saying that it is veal, will you be able to distinguish it? How can you differentiate between veal and human meat, if the taste is the same?

I would imagine not. While the flavor of proteins vary, certain preparations (grilling for example) or heavy seasoning would do alot to make the protein unidentifiable. If you were to make a jerky for example, the extreme umami, as well as the salt and texture, would make it very difficult to identify exactly what meat you were eating. Same with a stew, with a long enough cook time, and enough aromatics, the finished flavor/texture would make it hard as everything has emulsified partially.

With the way America allows food to be constructed (I meant construction, not cooking) , with its multiple sources of protein in a single "meat" product, you have most likely eaten a fractional amount of human DNA. through misadventure, (blood, hair/nails, and maybe the odd ground up finger or two) shit gets in the vat sometimes. Read about the pre regulation meat packing industry if you have already had your breakfast.
1662  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Muslim athlete initially banned by Trump arrested for child sex abuse in US on: March 05, 2017, 01:56:39 PM
I see a lot of the racists on the board (you will have suuuch an interesting conversation with the Father) that aren't aware of the differences between culture and religion. The misogyny comes from Arab culture, not from Islam.

To be clear, this all comes down to the talking point about Aisha's age. This is the Holy Grail of Islamophobia; wielded with the same zeal as FBI crime statistics on African Americans in the debate on Black crime. For the record, most people that actually practice the religion do not believe that she was nine. This is established; the hadiths that point to her being younger are disputed (kinda like how we ignore the Apocrypha).

This guy was a fucking pervert. And from a culture that has serious issues with women's rights (rape rate is off the chain). Don't think this was so much about him being Muslim as just being a terrible person.

And if you are going to bring up pedophilia, you are being a coward not to bring up the rampant pedophilia that happens in both Christian and Jewish places of worship. Even if you want to believe that Islam condones this, then in the same breath concede me this; what worse, the very teachers of this faith performing this sin, like in the case of the priests touching the kids, or just a guy in the faith that does this? Both are equally vile, but when the actual guys that are supposed to be the moral compass are fucking the kids, that actually gets in my craw a little deeper.

I find it funny that people that are too ignorant to actually research this stuff, have such strong opinions on it. T
1663  Other / Politics & Society / Re: UN drugs board slams killings in Philippines on: March 04, 2017, 06:37:08 PM
Whats funny is that the number of ejdk in united states is very much similar to the number of alleged ejdk here in the philippines. However why would UN doesnt care about taking action on the US nation?
The UN is the organization that can not do anything, but they don't want to lose the funding and are trying to do to show their importance. Unfortunately more than to demonstrate their concern, they can not. Why then do they need?

While I agree the UN has no "teeth", they serve an important function as they democratically form global opinions about the actions (usually bad) of state level actors. When we come to a consensus (as a group of Nations), we provide the rhetoric for other nations to shape their foreign policy (like how very few nations fuck with NK publically. They are quite unpopular, associating with them can lower your international standing with other states). So, as a " legislative" body, the opinions they form are useful. But they suck ass with no real army. All the rhetoric in the world doesn't mean too much without guns  Grin

My concern is, governments never sell offensive/defensive technologies before they have essentially rendered it obsolete, at least according to their own paradigm. You never give away the good China Grin So, what has Russia been working on (especially given the recent mobilization of Russian forces around the globe, and indications of Russia testing weapons again)? And given the current political situation with America and Russia (not Trump's situation, #45 seems blissfully unaware of Russia).
1665  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Have you ever known anybody who was robbed by police? on: March 02, 2017, 03:34:40 PM
Yes, yes I do. The cops got me for my rent when I was arrested. Was driving with unknown dead tags. Not only did I get my car searched, but all the money in my wallet mysteriously didn't make it to my property inventory (went to bail myself out with the money I knew I was arrested with, was told I had 0 dollars at my time of arrest.) You can't really fight shit like this, the state wins in situations like these, but to be honest, this is one of the reasons I embraced bitcoin. I'll be damned if I allow the state to steal my money again.
1666  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Is Nato "racist"? on: March 02, 2017, 03:30:23 PM
Can we really claim America first, in a global community?
This populism has to stop. When did we reject the notion of goodwill to our neighbors? While I agree the security of a nation should be it's foremost priority, at what point do we stop looking out for ourselves and start helping those around as that have less, in order to advance the whole?

We don't and can't exist in a vacuum. We barely produce the products we consume. We can take this isolationist stance, and the majority seems to support it, but I will go on record as saying I think it will end badly. Far be it from me to reject the will of the people. But when this goes south, I want the parties responsible to eat 100 percent of the blame.
1667  Other / Politics & Society / Re: If nuclear war broke out where's the safest place on Earth? on: March 02, 2017, 03:16:50 PM
Living rurally is the solution to this dilemma, I think.

And not just anywhere. You need to live a decent distance from a major population center. But there are unique benefits, I live rurally, I will explain:

1) bartering is still alive.
My neighbor to the right has a farm. My neighbor to the left has a farm, with livestock, as well. Suffice it to say, I can easily trade vice for.these resources, and have meat and vegetables despite if a supermarket is open, which leads me to

2) you can make your own food.
We grow about 50 percent of the vegetables we consume. If the shit hits the fan, I'm going to be eating mushrooms, leafy greens and fruit. And while I fucking heart bacon, I heart being alive much, much more.

3) communities and you
We are tight enough in our small community that those that produce food, can produce enough food to keep our community alive. Using the social network available, if you can contribute (labor is as valuable as skills) you will be fed. So survival essentially is a non issue.

4) we got gunz

I live in the country. I don't need to explain to you everyone here is strapped.

So, it's basically the cities that are fucked. Being rural means living. Independent of your local government, so the absence of government means little to Jack shit, in a situation like this.

1668  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Isn't Islam a religion of hate and violence, not peace and love? on: March 02, 2017, 02:42:31 PM
I apologize. I will admit that landgrab was a strong an incorrect term. I reviewed your document (about 40 of the 400 pages). I will start off by saying the text is a bit biased towards Israel. Now, I differ with the description of the escalations leading up to the war. War was not inevitable at that point. I will admit that Arab forces did mobilize troops in advance of Israeli response. But was that response valid? We stood off with a nuclear super power (Russia) during the Cold War without a single shot fired. We came very close to war. and honestly, some of the covert shit that transpired is patently an act of war. But no one struck. Despite the posturing, despite the threats, we persisted without conflict.

So, I'm not mad at any country acting out in its self defense. You don't have to explain to me why a religious minority might feel threatened surrounded by hostile neighbors. But they cast the first stone. and despite how we may disagree about the origins of the conflict, can we not agree that the illegal settlement by Israel is a slap in the face of good faith peace efforts by both parties? How would you feel if an international court said you get to keep your land, but a foreign, invading government insisted on building permanent structures in said land, and housing its citizens there?

And let's talk about the escalation of force. Every time a rocket is fired at Israel, despite it's overwhelming military superiority, the response is highly escalated. rocket at Israel = throwing a rock at a behemoth. No casualties when the rock hits its mark, but the mortar that comes back is certain to take a life. Same with Palestinian extremist. They don't tend to get arrested, they tend to get killed. You live by the sword, you may die by the sword. I have no problem with that, I am a student of the Sword myself. The far right leaning Congress represented in Israel ATM is entirely too nationalistic. Given that the 6 day war happened and is not going to change, what is Israel going to do about its settlement issue? Clearly develop said properties in defiance of international opinion? Establish an apartheid? Because if the settlements do not stop, this conflict cannot be resolved.

And let me be.clear. this is not one sided. Israel has suffered many abuses at the hands of its neighbors. Many abuses that should not have been tolerated. But now that they have gained the upper hand (we cannot argue this), will they be the bigger man, as all our shared faiths dictate, or will they stew in spite and nationalistic pride?

While the faults of the situation may well indeed be Arab aggression, will Israel ever be the bigger man? Is that not what our common father (Abraham) has taught us? We have forgotten our fathers face. And that's all of us, Jews, Muslims, and Christians. That Israel has won , essentially, will they act like a leader instead of an enemy? We will never spread the Lord's message divided like this. Do you think the current state of affairs in Israel, is a godly course of a godly people? Because I see an extreme government/ideology that is hindering the path to peace.

Your thoughts?

You may feel some kind of way about an Arab. I don't. When I meet my maker in Heaven, I will have to answer for my deeds and words. I'll be damed if I am denied the Kingdom because I had hate in my heart for someone that  Ivdon't even fuck with on a daily basis. What I'm trying to say is, Israel's reaction to Arab aggression in the region has been over the top. We understand you don't like your neighbors. That's cool. But be civil about the shit. You don't get to subjugate someone just because you are are occupying them
1669  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Blacks are the least intelligent race on the Earth on: March 02, 2017, 01:32:16 PM
Although i wouldn't have to agree on what you were actually saying. Even if black is not known for being a genius there were really a lot of them who actually are smart.

A lot of them are smart and there is no doubt about it. But all I am saying that the proportion of smart people among the Africans is much lower than, say the Jews. But they don't need to bother about it. Their strength is in athletics and acrobatics. What they lack in intelligence, they make up in other sectors. Look at the current NBA/NFL team rosters.

ROFL! I can taste the troll in this, it's delicious. Now, before I refute you, let me pen you down to this statement a bit more. Specifically identify for me if you are speaking of the African American community, or Native Africans, as well as if you meant US or Israeli Jews.

Also, let me preface this by stating a thesis: intelligence is not tied to the color of ones skin. I shouldn't have to explain why; ESP to people that are bright enough to embrace bitcoin, but, for the record; melanin has no effect on IQ.

You could even argue cultural intelligence, it would be more valid. But then you would have to concede that all black people aren't "urban" and that the black socioeconomic experience varies just like every other race.

I'm saying they were dumb. They only got caught because they didn't play the game right. They could have easily had a "full schedule" that made it so they couldn't accept the order. This is only news because they were assholes about this.

And this already happened to black people. It was called existing in America before the civil rights movement. We couldn't even walk in the store to make an order  Grin we survived until the law changed. We did business with reasonable individuals, or did business with ourselves.

Fact is, I don't want a government to force a private business owner to serve me if they don't want to. Fuck them. They don't want my business, I sure as hell don't want to give them my money.

You say you hate a Muslim. Why would you want to serve someone that you hate? Don't you want the right to choose? Choose where your product, made by your hands with your skill, ends up?

So if you had a print shop, you would be comfortable selling ISIS pamphlets if someone asked you to do so, correct? I mean, they are a customer..
1672  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Jailed for 13 years for flying the confederate flag on: March 02, 2017, 02:37:50 AM
Carrying guns legally for self-defense and pointing guns or making threats at children and families are two very different things. You can not terrorize, make death threats or point guns at people. Free speech does not entitle terrorism.

I agree that pointing gun at children is plain wrong. But where is the evidence for this? You can't just jail someone for the remainder of his life, because someone else claimed that he threatened the children with a gun.
Well, what about a whole party of people, that had no motive to even interact with said protesters as they were at an event, a birthday party. I don't show up to a birthday party for an ass whooping. I show up for cake and ice cream. Why wouldn't the testimony of witnesses, victims in this case, and a whole party of them, not be sufficient?

"Many people tried to make the case about simply flying the Confederate Battle Flag," Douglas County District Attorney Brian Fortner said in a statement. "This case was about a group of people riding around our community, drinking alcohol, harassing and intimidating our citizens because of the color of their skin."

On July 25, 2015, Torres and Norton, joined about a dozen other people in a convoy of pickup trucks waving large Confederate flags as they drove around Douglas County, a suburban Atlanta community. Most of them belonged to a group called "Respect the Flag."

"The convoy of trucks passed by the victim's residence where the victims were grilling hot dogs and hamburgers while hosting a child's birthday party featuring a bouncy castle, snow-cone machines, and a DJ," the district attorney's office posted on its official Facebook page.

The party-goers said the people in the trucks yelled racial slurs as they passed, the statement said.

The drivers parked the trucks near the house, prosecutors said. Torres was part of a smaller group that "threatened to kill the party goers while repeatedly using derogatory racial slurs against them," said the statement.

"Torres, who had retrieved a shotgun from his vehicle, pointed his shotgun at the group of African American party-goers and stated he was going to kill them while his co-defendants stated that 'the little ones can get one too,' referring to the young children at the party," the statement said.

Norton was accused of making similar threats. The victims said some member of Torres' group was armed with a knife and a tire tool.

According to the district attorney's statement, Torres testified he carried the shotgun because he feared for his friends' safety. The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported members of "Respect the Flag" said people at the party had thrown objects at them.

Also, the female apologized for her actions. So either she was a craven coward, and put her freedom above her morals in an attempt to reduce her sentence, or she was actually sorry for being an ass.

I'd like to believe the latter.

Speaking through her tears, Norton told the court: “I do accept responsibility for what I’ve done.”

Addressing her victims, she added: “What happened to you is absolutely awful.

“From mother to mother, I cannot imagine having to explain what that word means.

“The worst decision I’ve ever made in my life was to not walk away when I had the chance.”

Lord, I pray she was being sincere.
1673  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Isn't Islam a religion of hate and violence, not peace and love? on: March 02, 2017, 02:13:28 AM
Please look that the views of Islamic nations on Israel. A large number of Muslim nations does not recognize the right of Israel to exist as a sovereign nation. That tells a lot about the tolerance of these people.

Yeah those intolerant little bitches!
How can they not agree on Israel?
I mean, sure we never asked them their opinion about having such peaceful neighboors
Sure we decided to create a new country here without really thinking about future consequences

But they should accept that!
They should accept OUR decision! As WE know and they don't.
Intolerant freaks  Tongue

No one created a new country all of a sudden. Israel is the historic homeland of the Jews, and therefore after the WW2 it was decided to resettle the surviving Jews there. To accommodate the Arabs, Israel was partitioned in to two, with more than 80% of the area being allotted to the Muslim state (Jordan).

I disagree. See here:
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Six-Day_War

From what I understand, while Israel was established, the unprovoked land grab that was the 6 day war is the reason for the Palestinian/Israeli conflict. And subsequent settlement of internationally disputed territory. Not saying they didn't have the right to feel threatened. But they threw the first stone, this is historical fact.

Dammit. We were doing so good until you brought Alex Jones into this. While he has some very interesting ideas, and gets some of the esoteric things that he is saying (he is aware of the truth), he is a fearmonger that is monetizing the fears/concerns of his listeners. He doesn't ever offer solutions. Only new boogey men. That to me is a sign of someone that serves chaos, not order.

We are arguing semantics, let me explain.

While you can't discriminate per se, you can make up pretty shitty reasons to legally deny service. Like the no shirt no shoes thing. It actually is enforceable, because it is a reasonable accommodation that would detract from the business if not followed (you could not ride in my cab with no pants, for example. GTFO). If you are a federally state subsidized institution, the burden of proof on your "reasonable accommodation" would be a bit higher. But as a private institution, on private land, you have a bit of brevity on how you conduct business. Not all publically available businesses are open for public access, like factories for example (you can't get on the grounds without clearance). They can be very creative finding reasons why they cant fill your order, if they don't want to.

We are in the same side man, relax  Grin I don't think they should have been discriminated against. Its not fair to be singled out because you prefer dick over pussy. With that being said, for the aforementioned reasons, I don't think anyone in private industry should be forced to transact with customers they don't want to. If they are, it's pretty much slavery (being forced to perform a task that you have no desire to). I don't care how they got caught, I'm not defending them. Fuck them, if that makes you feel happy. But I won't back down from my statement that business owners should have a choice in who they serve. Would you sell ammo to a warlord? Or baking soda to a crack dealer? And if we are talking about discrimination, lets address the unfairness of having to defy ones religious beliefs to satisfy a customer. I'm a Christian, there is no way in hell (or heaven for that matter) you will get me to bake a cake with a satanic phrase on it. Not only would I be violating my religion, to me, I would be damning my very soul, my most valuable possession. Should I be punished for my faith? Over a goddamned cake?

The cake, in this instance, is indeed a lie.

1677  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: How would buying property play out with crypto? on: March 02, 2017, 01:00:00 AM
It would seem like you would want to get a lawyer to act as executor for you. You would be able to deed it over no problems if the parties involved don't have a problem with Bitcoin, but property taxes and legal fees will have to be paid in fiat. Thus, you may need an agent if you are trying to do this strictly bitcoin (ID suggest a contract pointing to the txid, and a physical signature of receipt).

It is illegal to access your terminal without your permission, be that remotely, or with direct terminal access. ESP if data is accessed/tampered with. The loss of value you would experience, at the very least, should give you a civil suit if you can identify and prove the hacker.
1679  Other / Politics & Society / Re: What's your opinion of gun control? on: March 02, 2017, 12:45:23 AM
My position is simple people have the right of self defense so they must be allowed to have weapons but if a persons has mental problems or has been on jail for violent crimes then that right must be taken away from them the same way your right of freedom is taken away when you violate the law.

First off, I am all for guns. I believe strongly in hunting and defence of home.
But I dont agree with taking someone's right to bear arms simply because they have committed a crime; but if they have committed a violent crime (esp on with a gun), that's a different thing. With that being said, we shouldn't be able to get assault rifles as citizens. Long guns and pistols are fine. All you should need to defend yourself if everyone else only has the same. Military hardware is just that, for the military. You should need special training, but, with that being said, you are subject to enhanced ATF investigation when you apply to receive a weapon of this sort (complete background check).

But that doesn't seem to be enough, so far  Grin

Hello, I bought about one hundred dollars worth a few months ago. I know I can buy things. Is it legal for me to sell back to coinbase. Im an American citizen. I'm not a merchant of any kind. Thanks.

Of course you can! It's no different than a stock. You can buy and sell as much as you like, this is called speculation (and is perfectly legal). Be aware that every time you move through one side of the pair to the other, you will pay a small fee, a commission, to make the transaction. Its small, but if you do it enough times, those fees will add up!
