2581  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Not happy about my first hardware wallet purchase on: April 02, 2022, 12:19:19 PM
After all the advice on hardware wallets I went out to buy a Trezor hardware wallet only to find out that it only works with very few coins, if this doesn't suck to you I don't know what will.

I do not agree with your statement since it does not match my experience. You cannot claim that the Trezor hardware wallet works with just a few coins because that is simply not true. If you could let us know which coin you are having trouble with, we could understand your situation better.

I had fun with this April Fool's joke. Is anyone else disappointed that the event is already over?

Nevertheless, I can't help thinking that something like this could actually be useful for the forum. Of course, I don't mean a trivial knowledge quiz, but something related to crypto. Some algorithm that could calculate how much crypto knowledge an individual member has.
2583  Economy / Gambling / Re: Gambling exploit (LEGAL) on: April 01, 2022, 07:43:29 PM
Your the smartest here.
The higher the startup pot the quicker the returns thats the only reason.

So, if I'm hearing you correctly, you want someone to risk their money at the casino in order to test your strategy, and share the profits with you if it works? What if it doesn't work? I'm sure you can see where I'm going with this, and I understand the appeal, but are you really expecting me to trust you with my $20k? Are you?
2584  Economy / Gambling / Re: Roobet.com | Crypto’s Fastest Growing Casino 🦘 on: April 01, 2022, 07:27:08 PM
<...>
Roobet is a huge company and they have been doing millions of dollars worth of business, and they have been giving back so much, by trying to say bad things about them, you are not improving the crypto casino world, you are making it on average a worse place. Become better than roobet if you want to beat the competition.

I don't think Roobet needs to worry about trolls like LEVSKI7. Roobet has already proven itself as a fair, legitimate casino, so it will take a lot more than a few baseless accusations from some completely irrelevant troll on the forum to shake Roobet's reputation as a trustworthy site.
So it's best to just ignore this troll and his ilk, don't engage them in any way, and go on your merry way.

Theymos must definitely be part of this entire plot to overrun the world by controlling our minds.

Nah, he probably collects all our answers in a database for later use by a special AI-based algorithm to serve us personalized ads, or to do some other shit on the forum. As he said, his goal is to "improve the overall forum experience".

I hope he does this, otherwise it's just a shit end to a shit script and a waste of our time.   Cool
2586  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Scammers are growing in numbers every day on Twitter, be careful out there on: April 01, 2022, 06:04:28 PM
Although I do not have experience with cloud mining, from what I have heard, most cloud mining services are scams. If not all. So, all those scammers lurking on Twitter and other social media are nothing new, they just use new techniques. After all, their target audience is probably inexperienced, naive, and unaware of the risks of investing in such schemes,  so it’s easy to dupe them.

So what can one do to minimize their exposure to scams? Well, you have to be smart, and educate yourself about the risks, but more importantly, be able to spot the telltale signs of a scam.
2587  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🚀Moonbet Crypto Sportsbook & Casino | 💸Instant $250 Deposit Bonus on: April 01, 2022, 01:43:59 PM
First of all, congratulations on your launch and welcome to Bitcointalk. I love the clean and professional design of your website. The site is fantastic and the interface looks really good, like a high-end platform. Very functional, very attractive.

Now, I really love what you are doing with KYC here. KYC is not required unless depositing or withdrawing large amounts of crypto is involved. That's a good thing and I'm sure that most of us are welcoming that as a positive change. It will also be of the greatest benefit to the site if you remain active in the forum and respond to all questions posed by forum members. Nevertheless, I believe you will make great strides and I wish you and your team good luck and all the best.

The note says, "We are now only allowing smart people to post." so I do not understand how OP managed to post this question.

Looks like the system still has some bugs.

Something with utility, no shit coins

Since this does not leave much room for choice, Bitcoin is the only coin that fits this description.

2591  Economy / Gambling / Re: how to choose best Gambling website for Gambling ? on: April 01, 2022, 11:53:40 AM
The best online casino depends on the person. Everyone has his/her own preferences and interests. There is no simple way to choose the best casino for everyone. For example, for someone who is new to gambling, it is essential to learn the basics. For professional gamblers, it is important to play in the trustworthy casino, one that has games with a better chance of winning. Therefore, when you choose the best online casino, there are many things to consider.
- Take a moment to consider what you want from online casino.
- Do some research and read expert reviews to make an informed decision.
- Look at the bonuses offered by the online casino.
- Test the site with the no-deposit bonuses (if available)
- Check to see if your favorite casino is registered with major gaming regulators.
- Be modest in your first deposit and match it with your risk tolerance.
2592  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🥇 Crashino.com 🚀 Provably Fair Crash Games, Casino and Sportsbook ✌ No KYC on: April 01, 2022, 11:33:20 AM
Because in the event that something like this happens, I imagine that the casino would give the opportunity for clients from prohibited countries to withdraw their winnings, but have they contemplated this?

Yes, that's right. The only logical solution here would be to allow all players from restricted countries to withdraw their funds from the casino in this situation. We have experienced similar scenarios with other casinos in the past. However, this is only a hypothetical scenario as we don't know if Crashino will ever apply for a gambling license.
2593  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: To the Ill-informed, btc has done more harm than good on: March 31, 2022, 09:44:52 PM
Throughout our lives, we make an array of wrong decisions, including excessive and impulsive spending, gambling, poor credit, and using financial products and services that we don't fully understand. If we were fully informed and fully rational, and if our cognitive ability were unlimited, we might not act in this manner. Unfortunately, things are quite different in reality. Besides knowledge and reason, our actions are also influenced by feelings, attitudes, and beliefs whose impact on our behavior is sometimes overlooked. In making financial decisions, ignorance, biases, irrationality, and impulsivity can be especially harmful. They can lead to terrible financial decisions and debt accumulation, as well as other problems.

Fortunately, these issues can be addressed. For example, individuals can develop the right attitudes toward money, develop money skills and know how to make informed decisions. They can also develop the knowledge, skills, and attitudes required to make wise decisions regarding their finances. These steps can make a real difference in our financial lives.
2594  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Russia Sanctions Will Spur the Adoption of Crypto and Reduce USD Dominance - IMF on: March 31, 2022, 09:03:28 PM
Well, according to Gopinath, the dollar will remain the major global currency, even if it becomes less dominant in the international financial system. Essentially, what's being said here is a continuation of the IMF's stance on crypto regulation, which was outlined last year. Gita Gopinath has advocated regulating crypto rather than banning it, and the organization has been much more lenient to cryptocurrencies since Gopinath came on board.
2595  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Don't be too greed for more gains.... on: March 30, 2022, 11:01:03 PM
.... my advice to newbies in crypto here is always take profit don't regret if it goes up, don't be too greed. stay connected here in forum for advices. Smiley

This is actually quite common for newbies and we have all been in that situation. I was the same and it took me a while to "adapt" to the market but the important thing is that you don't panic! Take profits when you're close to the top and not when the pump is at its end. (try to sell before any price target is reached).
2596  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Do you tell your friends about your crypto achievements? on: March 30, 2022, 09:58:51 PM
Do you tell your friends about your crypto earnings and trading strategy?

Although I feel like I have to tell everyone everything I do, actually it's not my favorite thing to do. Some of my friends actually enjoy my trading stories, others are just plain weirded out! Sometimes I even get people asking me how I do that when they have no clue what I'm talking about, even though they do know what a crypto is. It's ok, they are actually happy for me. But I will never show my crypto portfolios or the account I'm on, it's too risky for my security and I hate to show off my money!
2597  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: ask help on: March 30, 2022, 09:50:46 PM
As someone who has participated in many humanitarian initiatives and personally donated to a number of them, I don't think this is a good approach. You should not just ask people for money, there are legitimate organizations that deal with humanitarian aid whose purpose is to provide help to those who are most in need.

Another angle to look at is that you're effectively saying that those who want to support less fortunate people should just donate to you. Don't get me wrong, there are very charitable people in the world who have donated and done their part in aiding to those in need. However, we all know there are people who ask for money but are not genuinely in need of help.

If you need money for your family, I suggest you look to charitable organizations for assistance. That would be much more effective than asking others to give you money.
2598  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How to get going on: March 30, 2022, 08:30:56 PM
Our free time is the time left over after all the responsibilities of our daily lives. If you organize your free time well, you will have time for your hobbies and for online activities. By carefully scheduling your free time you will find that it is enough to get things done and not too much time wasted, especially if you have a lot of things on your plate. You may, for instance, reduce the amount of time you spend watching TV or playing online games. You can also schedule your weekends and evenings for online activities.

For a beginner, a few hours a week is enough to engage in this community. That's enough to learn about what's new in the topics you're interested in and even contribute to the discussion. As you get more involved, you will need to dedicate more time for it. But you will learn a lot more in time. If you don't have time for everything in life, don't force yourself to do it.

Of course, with experience it's recommended to adjust your schedule. Once you have learned how to grow your wealth, you will find that you have more free time than ever before.
2599  Economy / Gambling / Re: Would you support a collective boycott of all Russian gambling platforms? on: March 29, 2022, 10:48:18 PM
Ukraine want to join on NATO and Putin sees that as a huge risk for their country if Ukraine will totally join on that organization. And since they are the one who start the war ofcourse people may look at Russian as evil for what they do on Russia but if we look at what Putin wants on this war we can really think about that he is just protecting his country on any war that might happen yo their country in future.

I don't believe we can justify invading another sovereign state in that way. What if Finland or Sweden decide to join NATO after this? Will Putin attack those countries as well "to protect his country"?

Are there a lot of Russian gambling platforms, that everyone wants to boycott? Those who want to do it, do you even gamble there? Or you just want to boycott something you dont use? Funny.

You can't boycott something you don't use, you moron.
2600  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: [Tips] Ways to Protect Recovery Phrase - Mnemonic on: March 29, 2022, 10:33:12 PM
What is more likely to cause lost coins? Loss of private keys or hacks? I wonder is there any research on the topic?

I bet it is more likely for people to lose their keys due to forgetfulness than theft. Thus, I think any method that involves human memory is a bad option. Even if you write a private key down on paper, there is a high probability that you will forget where you kept it after some time.
