1861  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Tips on how to keep your Bitcointalk forum account safe. on: September 30, 2022, 09:14:11 PM
<snip>
Account security should be taken very seriously in order to avoid such incidents, because prevention is better than cure.
Maybe users can also make use of the "Secret Question" feature which might help you recover the account if it's stolen, though it is mentioned that this is not recommended since it also kind of acts like a second password, I still think that it is fine as long as you create an answer which someone should not be able to guess easily. (was there any history here where a user successfully retrieved the account using this feature?). Probably, in relation to forum security, signed message really will help recovering the account.

Isn't the option to recover your password by answering a secret question disabled on the forum? I'm not sure, but I think I read somewhere that if you try to recover your password that way, your account will be locked and you will have to request a manual review and recovery process. (I can't find any details about it now though.)
1862  Economy / Gambling / Re: Euphoriabet.io NO KYC Crypto Esports Betting and Roulette on: September 30, 2022, 07:54:51 PM

Yes you are right that mate let's give them enough time to prove that they are not asking More KYC in terms of depositing and withdrawal from their customers.  But as I observe maybe this casino telling the truth but its better to be more vigilant and secure so for me if I play here I use a small amount but after that if they are good in managing then theres a chance that ill put such good an out of bet.

What's there to prove? Their Terms of Service clearly state that they require KYC from their customers, so there is no need to prove anything.

You have so many paragraphs talking about KYC and AML policy on your terms of service - (archived) and Privacy policy - (archived)

In my opinion, there are only two possibilities here: They are lying about "NO KYC" in the title of this topic, or their Terms of service and AML policy aren't true. So in any case, they are lying and/or misleading potential customers.
1863  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: Is Faucetpay paying bigger withdrawals? on: September 30, 2022, 07:40:28 PM
They are doing there business seance 2019 but FaucetPay.io is not well known in this forum. they didn’t open any Complete ANN on this forum and they didn’t doing any type of promotion there site on this forum that's why We are not particularly aware of this site. And since I don't have much real experience with this site, I will never give a positive or negative comment for op's site. I would just say do your own research before using a gambling site

I think they aren't particularly well known on this forum because their service is primarily related to faucets. Although I'm not sure how many users still use faucets, I believe most on this forum are aware that they're a complete waste of time and unprofitable. Those who once pursued faucets and similar methods to earn money have since turned to bounties and shitcoins in the hope of making some profit.

Although positive reviews about faucetpay.io significantly prevails over the negative ones, although the comments are frankly not very. Service there are only two negative points that are of course controversial namely this:
-The website owner hides his identity in WHOIS using a paid service.
-Anonymous payment methods have been identified on this site.

https://www.scamadviser.com/check-website/faucetpay.io

But of course the final decision is up to you to take risks or not, but I wouldn't do that.

It is important to note that those two points can apply to almost any crypto-related website, and neither of them is necessarily a sign of negativity.
1864  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🪄 arcanebet.com 🪄 Your new favourite Crypto Casino 🎲 on: September 30, 2022, 07:17:33 PM
On a completely different note, are you (reader), willing to perform KYC when being offered an appealing bonus? For example, a deposit bonus with fair rollover/wager terms. One of the main reasons attractive deposit bonuses are not common in the crypto space is that they are highly abusable when no KYC is required. It would be great to hear your opinions.

This is a great question. It's easy to see why you ask it, of course... As far as the research I have done, the majority of players in the crypto space is concerned, KYC is either extremely unpopular or dead on arrival. KYC procedures can help prevent abuse, but they are no silver bullet. However, legal compliance has its requirements as well.

With that said, money talks, after all; so if people see that something is valuable and desirable, they could be willing to go through KYC (if it's easy and not intrusive) for the chance at a reward. I don't think many of the players will see it as a downside.

Yes, I'm willing to pass identity verification (KYC) if I'm offered an appealing bonus with fair rollover/wager requirements.

My privacy for bonus with wagering requirement? I will not be willing to reveal my document for such bonus obviously. Of course it is all about preferences, but for me it does not make senses to pass KYC just because of bonuses with wagering requirement. I will prefer to pass KYC when I win huge amount only as it can be something worth for me, but for bonuses with no guaranteed value? I will never do it.
I think that for unsecured bonds the issue of complying with KYC is not very necessary, according to what I have read, or maybe there is something that I am missing? In most casinos I have seen that there are some problems due to the KYC requirements, there are even many people who are afraid of leaking their private data, and if it is dangerous, but, unfortunately, there is something that we have to get used to, if we want to be in the best casinos, we must comply with the KYC requirements, because it is a requirement and I see that this is becoming universal, and I think that the greatest obligation is that it be to make withdrawals, because it is the option that forces anyone to comply .

There is no doubt about it, most regulated casinos will require KYC from their customers at one point or another. There is no exception for a crypto-currency casino, most of them require you to sign up with your personal and financial information.

But the question was whether you would be more willing to part with personal information if you were offered a certain bonus for that? At least that's what arcanebetcasino suggested, because it would also reduce the possibility of bonus abuse by bad players.
1865  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which coin should I invest in other than bitcoin? on: September 28, 2022, 10:39:40 PM
If you want to invest in cryptocurrency, Bitcoin is still a good bet. It's the most recognizable name in the game now and looks likely to stay that way for a while. Though, if you're looking for alternatives and want to invest in other crypto assets that have a chance of being profitable then there are a few options out there. You should look at the top coins based on market cap and liquidity. Those are Ethereum and Binance Coin. After that, you should go for coins which are known to have some value or one with a unique purpose. Finally, you can take the riskier approach, with coins that are totally unknown. Just remember that if they do turn out to be fraudulent or a scam, it's unlikely that you'll see any of your money again.
1866  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: LTC and Doge has something to do with BTC? on: September 28, 2022, 10:29:18 PM
While you may have been expecting a serious response to this questions, I am sorry to say that your question itself makes no sense. What does "closer to BTC in all form?" even mean? Are we talking about supply? Technology? Use cases? This is a very strange question and there is no such thing as a "right" or "wrong" answer. Well, with that said, Litecoin and Dogecoin are both cryptocurrencies. Litecoin emerged in 2011 as a fork of Bitcoin, whereas the Dogecoin was launched in 2013 and is based on the Shiba Inu dog meme. Both coins were created to build upon Bitcoin's foundations, so they're definitely similar.
1867  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin thoughts on: September 28, 2022, 10:02:44 PM

And the most disappointing thing is the correlation between Bitcoin and the stock market. Friend of mine that works for one of the biggest hedge funds tells me the BTC is going to zero value against the USD

It's a tough time to be an investor in Bitcoin, or any cryptocurrency for that matter. But hey, I believe the correlation between bitcoin and stock market is a good thing because that means more technology money will come into the bitcoin ecosystem to secure its place on technological battlefield. More money coming means better tech: more research and development, more people using it, more merchants willing to accept it. More money in its game means better price points and faster adoption as prices go up.
1868  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: Is Faucetpay paying bigger withdrawals? on: September 28, 2022, 08:23:58 PM
I am not sure how long FaucetPay.io has been in business, but as far as I know, they have been around for a few years (since 2018 if my memory is correct). I haven't seen any serious allegations against them yet. Not on this forum at least. But of course, that doesn't mean the company can't close shop and run away with your money at any time, since it's a custodial wallet service after all.
1869  Economy / Economics / Re: Business failure among small-scale entrepreneurs on: September 27, 2022, 08:41:03 PM
The business world has become very competitive and in order to remain alive in the business for a long time, a business owner needs to be very proficient in many things, hard working, smart enough, financial capable and always keep his/her eyes on the customers.

There are two very important elements that are crucial in running successfully any business. First is the strong business idea and the second one is all about marketing and management skills to be able to keep customers/clients interested in your business. If you are thinking of starting a business, it is good to have a strong business plan that includes all the necessary aspects of your business such as: market research, competition analysis, finances, marketing plan etc. To increase the chances of your business succeeding, you need to ensure that you are constantly updated with current business trends, educated enough to know all the possible market shifts and you must be able to make most informed decisions.
1870  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can whitepaper still shows the weakness of a project and their team on: September 27, 2022, 08:06:34 PM
I think the whitepaper is one of the core components of a good project. You could use whitepaper as a good first step in deciding whether or not to invest in a project. Or, you could use whitepaper as just another piece of information in your final decision-making process. Whatever choice you make, make sure that it serves your purposes best.

In the end, you will have to decide what a whitepaper means to you as an investor. But one thing I can confidently say is that if you see a whitepaper that is plagiarized, inaccurate, has grammatical errors or poorly written in general; then it's almost certain that the team behind the project are not serious about their project at all.
1871  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling and Reputation on: September 27, 2022, 07:47:59 PM
Gamblers shouldn't feel ashamed or hide from others, particularly if they are only betting for fun and don't consider themselves to be compulsive gamblers. As long as their gambling doesn't interfere with their regular life, they shouldn't treat it as some kind of secret that they must keep hidden from the world. I think everyone that has a problem with gambling should do something about it, but if you're not obsessed with gambling and you're not addicted to it then I think its fine to gamble. Many professional people gamble in different ways but they're mostly good at their job so I don't think there is a big risk even if someone find out. I can't say what people will think about you or your profession, but if you're a gambler then be honest with yourself, it's never a smart thing to lie to yourself.
1872  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: My worst day in gambling on: September 27, 2022, 07:42:08 PM
No doubt, the worst day in the life of a gambler is when he is losing, and the bigger his losses are the more difficult he takes it. For me losing my $2000 bank roll was the worst day of my gambling life. But analyzing it also helped me realize that I had made a few mistakes and my biggest mistake (total action) cost me 50% of my bankroll on that day. So, if you are going to play or attempt to beat the casinos, make sure you are disciplined and do not increase your bet when you are chasing your losses. That's the most costly mistake I made with my bankroll.
1873  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: HOW TO AVOID FAKE CRYPTOCURRENCY APPS on: September 26, 2022, 10:37:04 PM
How to spot fraudulent cryptocurrency apps.

Hahaha, this was debunked pretty quickly!  Cheesy

Quote
-Read reviews

this is probably the only thing that can be considered approximately relevant, and it is very important to distinguish fake from real reviews. Even when it is a highly ranked review source.

Yes. Despite the fact that there is no 100% reliable way to spot fraudulent or deceptive crypto apps, this is probably the only one that can still give relevant results. Reviews, if from reliable sources, provide a fairly objective opinion of the app and are usually helpful in eliminating snake oil that might look like a legit thing but in fact might be nothing more than a scam.
1874  Economy / Gambling / Re: Euphoriabet.io NO KYC Crypto Esports Betting and Roulette on: September 26, 2022, 10:15:15 PM
For starters, why claim to be a "no-KYC" casino when you can actually request KYC verification from any player at any time?
But, how did you know that they will request a KYC later on? I don't think you have a crystal ball there to see what can happen in the future. Maybe they really mean it when they say "NO KYC". They are only a starter so they can start like this but if ever they change their policies later on then they better make a proper announcement in regards to that.

This was already mentioned in this thread. I strongly recommended you read their terms of service.

For a new casino looking top build reputation from scratch. Don't you think the NO KYC claim is dishonest and harms people's trust towards your service. When you talk about NO KYC. then there should be no single case of a customer getting KYCed

You have so many paragraphs talking about KYC and AML policy on your terms of service - (archived) and Privacy policy - (archived)

Second, who gives you the legal right to collect any user personal information? What is your company? Where are you registered? Which jurisdiction?
Again they say they don't require a KYC but if they are planning to require it then they need to register their company first in a legal way and obtain a gambling license before they can do those things. Unlicensed sites that asks for a kyc is illegal and should be reported to the authorities if ever we have seen one.

Yes, exactly, which is why I'm pointing it out. An anonymous entity operating an illegal, unlicensed online casino have the legal right to ask KYC information from anyone.
1875  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: RAM stick question on: September 26, 2022, 08:43:38 AM
I have two RAM sticks in a motherboard, one has 2400mhz speed and the other is 2600Mhz speed will the two RAM sticks work perfectly without hindering the performance of each other either in crypto mining or just using the PC for task work?

Yes, it is possible to use two RAM sticks with different speeds at the same time, but your RAM will work at its slowest speed. In some cases, this may result in compatibility issues, but such instances are very rare. To avoid any surprises, it's best to do a complete test of your RAM with MemTest86 or something similar.
1876  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: I have a few questions about hardware wallets and metamask on: September 25, 2022, 07:54:17 PM
I heard that hardware wallet can be imported into metamask to use some other network that aren't available on the hardware wallet, is this true? Also..

1. Can I import a hardware wallet into a mobile wallet like metamask?
2. What are the risks involved in doing this?

This is not recommended and I would not do that. A better solution is to create a secondary wallet with Metamask and use it separately from the hardware wallet.
You probably don't need all the coins available on Metamask wallet all the time. Why not keep your main stash on a hardware wallet where it's safe, and transfer only what you need to Metamask?
1877  Economy / Gambling / Re: Euphoriabet.io NO KYC Crypto Esports Betting and Roulette on: September 25, 2022, 05:52:27 PM
About kyc, we have answered this before several times, if you want to find an answer, read other posts, do not ask the same question 10 times

I looked at all your posts carefully, but I can't find the one where you answered these questions:

I believe they had answered the question. And one of the replies even pasted their TOS clause regarding the KYC. I even quoted that clause too.

That's only part of my question, I'd still like to hear the rest from them.

As we know, only regulated casinos and gambling sites have to follow KYC and AML requirements. Euphoriabet.io is an unlicensed and unregulated gambling site. As such, there are no legal regulations in place that require KYC from players, and there is no legal protection of our personal data on such a site. When we share personal information with unregulated gambling sites, there are no guarantees that our information won't be sold to or used by criminals. Unlicensed and unregulated gambling sites are not held to the same legal standards as licensed sites, which means that you can never know for sure what their intentions are, or if they will stay in business. In the end, the choice is up to you, but I personally do not recommend divulging your personal information with unlicensed gambling sites.

You made a mistake Trident Protocol proof post check well now check again no match I only have one account please remove the red mark.

You posted the first "proof of registration" with the hitman24 account, and a few minutes later with the amzad00 account. This means that it was not a copy-paste error, but that you mixed up your alt accounts.

Look at these two posts, they are identical. In bounty, some users use previous posts as a sample, they copy that post and then edit it to suit themselves. Ninjastic remembers the post in its original form, which is why such mishaps occur. These two users are not really alts.

It would make sense if it was the other way around, but like I said before, hitman24 posted first. He couldn't copy amzad00's post by mistake.
