2581  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Reasons why people avoid KYC in gambling casino ? on: July 02, 2022, 03:00:31 PM
It's been observed that gamblers prefer to play on casino which do not enforce KYC. Well, let's discuss what are the main reasons that they do not want to show their identity and gamble anonymously.

They don't trust the casino as the casino might misuse the kyc documents or the gamblers want to gamble without telling anyone that they are the gamblers,  gambling is illegal in their region or religion and they want to hide their identity or there could be any other solid reason?

Most of the time it probably has to do with 1 of 3 things:

1) not wanting to give out your personal information to an unknown.
2) to avoid paying taxes
3) because gambling is illegal in you area

These are probably the main three things that cover 90% of the reasons why.
2582  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Inherited gambling on: July 01, 2022, 11:24:51 PM
Gambling can be genetic and passed on to offspring, but I have noticed that females are not addicted as male when it comes to gambling and that gives me doubt about it, or maybe that is how it is in my region, men are most into gambling. Or maybe the gene is more concentrated in men than women.

No one can blame addicts, but any bad deeds done by them can be punished. The more fact we need is that addiction is not good, it can lead to a kind of life someone do not wish for himself, the reason we should use just the amount of money we can afford to lose and nothing more than that.

Gambling tendencies genetic?  Nah its all environmental.  There is no links between genetics and gambling habits.  If you bring someone up without gambling in theor upbringing they won't be pre disposed to it.
2583  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Uncertainty in the NFT market on: July 01, 2022, 11:22:52 PM
Good morning

I was looking at the uncertainty that there is currently about investing or not in NFT projects... what do you think about it?

I'm new here please treat me well Tongue

99% scams steer clear unless you want to donate your money.  Seriously though does it seem logical that these  "art projects" deserve the money that's being thrown at them.  If your answer is no you are on the right track, if you think yes then have someone else adage your money and thank me later lol.  Seriously though steer clear.
2584  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Shiba Inu Could Reach $5 By 2050 !!!??? on: July 01, 2022, 11:21:00 PM
I dont know if most of us here are still alive at 2050 lol, too many things might happened in this year already but if shib still exist at this year then for sure $5 is not impossible so better hodl some shib and pass it to our grandchildren who knows.

Not impossible?  Do you understand how many coins are outstanding or "total supply " or even circulating supply.  This thread is obviously a joke.  There is not enough money in the world to get this crap coin to even $1 let alone 5x that.  Please say you were joking.
2585  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Phil Mickelson Opens Up About Losing MILLIONS From Gambling on: July 01, 2022, 11:18:56 PM
Honestly a ton of professional sports stars are huge gamblers.  Most are sports betting but even with regular casino games.  They are all world competitors and are addicted to the "win".  Sad but more stories of sports stars going broke is mainly due to gambling.
2586  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: July 01, 2022, 11:11:54 PM
Rudy Gobert to the Minnesota Timberwolves? That’s what I’m hearing. How does that make sense when they just gave KAT a quarter billion dollars? Will Gobert and KAT ever see the floor together? Something big seems to be brewing in Utah...
They may play together on the court. I think the Wolves are thinking KAT will be more focused on the offense now while Gobert protecting the paint and grabbing boards. The problem is he could be too slow as morvillz7z pointed out.

Last season's result may have pushed them to acquire an experienced big too.

Agreed KAT is more a power forward in a center body.  Gobert is a true center.  I mean how are you going to defend both of them lol.  The only downsize to this is minn giving up a ton of draft capital to make this happen.  If they are perennial finals contenders then it will be worth it since the picks will be late 1sts.
2587  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: WHY is Terra pumping ? on: June 29, 2022, 12:53:55 PM
TerraClassic, UST, Terra Luna 2, all pumping ! But why ?

I hear they're burning a lot of tokens... but , still doesn't make sense. The supply is still gigantic... especially Terra Classic, UST is still DePegged by a mile... AND Bitcoin is going lower and lower !!

WTF is going on !!

Simple, greed and peoe don't understand what they are actually doing or buying into.  They are just hoping there is a quick pump to dump it onto some other poor sucker.  Little will probably win and much more people will get burned by Luna, again.  People don't learn, it's sad really.
2588  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Roger ver got liquidated and owes like 47 million to CoinFLIX on: June 29, 2022, 12:50:42 PM
In order to fund other user's withdrawals, Coinflix turned his debt into a token with 20% APY
Read all about it here
https://www.reddit.com/r/CryptoCurrency/comments/vmuc02/roger_ver_has_been_liquidated_on_coinflix_and_now/

Apparently, he went looong on his shitcash

RogerVer and his shitcash are officially over.

And stay away from coinflix's 20%APY ponzi token. He's never going to pay.

Is 20%APY the same percentage that Luna offered lol.  I mean any project that guarantees that type of percentage is a fire just waiting to collapse.  When will people learn the adage if it's too good to be true it typically is.  But guaranteed people will still fall for this crap lol.
2589  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: New projects to review on: June 29, 2022, 12:48:53 PM
About new cryptocurrencies what interests you most in an ICO? What strengths and weaknesses in the ICO? And what values do you as an investor observe before acquiring a crypto asset before its launch?

ICOs are 99.9999% scams.  Seriously unless you have money to literally burn I would stay away.  Especially in this Arles.  Bear markets are no time to take a stab at a risky unknown project just starting out.  They typically plummet as soon as the exchanges open for them.
2590  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Crawford vs Spence on: June 29, 2022, 12:40:20 PM

I think they are already past in their negotiations of purse cuts because Spence already openly said in the public that he should have the bigger slice and that means no lower than 60% purse cut while Crawford will really take the remaining 40% cut of the purse because he's been calling this fight for long and this is the closest thing he's been into against Spence and he surely knows that he can't afford to get this undisputed match for long because he will be a year inactive soon.

If they want to settle the fight in October then they should announce it no later than mid of July because they still have to prepare for that fight.

They should announce it for better preparation and for the fans to get engaged with the possible upcoming fight,

Unless they are planning for another alternative to promote the fight, access like social media and more hypes while still in
the process, and this kind of writeups and temporary delayed of the final announcement can also be used to engage people's
interest, but I agree that July might be the best time to announce the realization of this possible upcoming fight to announce.

Crawford needs little to no time to train, he has a good turn around time.  Unsure of spences short announced fights but Crawford doesn't get fazed by them.  Honestly the 2 of them are probably training right now is if they are going to fight so I think am anniuncent would just be an admin note more than theor starting line.
2591  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: June 29, 2022, 12:37:58 PM
I also don't think that Clippers should trade John Wall. He hasn't been playing in any game since April 24, 2021. This is a huge interval for a basketball player and it is hard to rely on that player again for some time at least. They can at least monitor his performance at Rockets for some time and then decide what to do. He was of course a very talented player but we don't know how he will return. I also agree with @Yaunfitda that Clippers should already be comfortable with George and Leonard for now.
Wall does not play because he doesn't like his team, he just wants to be traded and I don't think because he didn't play that will lessen his value. IMO, Wall still belongs to the league of superstar in the NBA, and he can be a big help for the Clippers campaign to win a championship.

Remains to be seen, and it sound familiar (Harden), but it's not going to be easy for him as Clippers have already a established stars in Kawhi and PG13. How will he fit? for sure he will dislodge some of their players already like Reggie Jackson who has been playing good last season. On the contrary, it could backfire on them if Wall see that he is not giving enough time on the floor and then not giving his 100% every game, just saying.

I actually think it's a perfect fit for wall.  Wall and Harden are completely different types of players.  Harden likes to dominate the ball.  Wall orchestrates insaneltly well for his teammates.  Put him together with 2 guys who can also create for themselves and all the pressure isn't on him to get his team looks.  He can slow roll his way back in.  Injuries though with kawhi, Wall and pg don't line up well.  Will see how long all 3 can be on the floor without being out.
2592  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 15 Million MATIC Bought by ETH Whale as Token Rises 26% in Past 3 Days !!! on: June 27, 2022, 11:14:21 PM
Majority of the great projects like the NFT ones are mostly migrated in Matic, I even sometimes wonder the reason matic didn't get any famous like terra luna before the crash, it was great solution or alternative for ETH.
and even now they're still as great as ever and maybe in the future it just gonna climbs its rank around 5th and beyond.
I guess it's kinda obvious that the big capital investment gonna flows in eventually and now that's happening, so many are tried investing in matic.

Yeah I never understood the love affair with eth when you have platforms like matic around.  The more and more I look into it the more I like.  Might have to go knee deep into a bag of matic before the next crypto run.
2593  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Coins with daily usability on: June 27, 2022, 11:05:58 PM
Given that Bitcoin is considered a store of value, can you use a cryptocurrency that can guarantee day-to-day usability? How to go to bakeries, fill up the car, travel, etc? Do you know any coins like this?

Peoe just say bitcoin is a store of value, why couldn't you use bitcoin for things like this.  People use bitcoin for these things right now.  You are only gonna get responses from people who want to pump theor bags.  I wouldn't listen to anyone pitching a specific coin.
2594  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Minor Protection From Gambling on: June 27, 2022, 11:04:19 PM
Just like with everything else that is done over the internet it will be pretty hard for them to limit this.  Once a way around it is found out about it will be exploited over and over.  Where there is a will there is a way.  Wish there was a better way though it really is unhealthy for under age people to gamble.
2595  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA draft on: June 27, 2022, 10:49:36 PM
Should I keep this thread open to talk specifically about the draft or the newly drafted players?  Don't want to keep it open if no one wants to discuss the draft.  Thoughts?
2596  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Polygon (MATIC) to $20? on: June 27, 2022, 06:51:05 PM
Lots of movement lately into matic.  I know a lot of big eth holders are currently moving into matic which is a good trend since large whales are the ones who usually move price.  Naturally everything will rely on the market swinging back into bull territory but when I does I can see it getting up to $20
2597  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Sweatcoins will be launching this summer...Is it worth it? on: June 27, 2022, 06:44:11 PM
There's an app called "Sweatcoin" which basically pays you by doing nothing other than walking. Each 1,000 steps will be equal to 1 Sweatcoin. Back then, the coin used to be proprietary from the app itself. But lately, the company took the decision to launch it as a real cryptocurrency. Apparently, the new coin will be launching this summer to be later traded at crypto exchanges. This reminds me of a similar coin that used to pay people for walking called "MangoCoinz". It didn't turn out to be a huge success, so I wonder if this new coin (Sweatcoin) will have the same fate as its predecessor?

What do you think about Sweatcoin? Is it worth walking/doing exercise just to get paid coins in return? If not, why? Do you think the project will have a future? Your input will be greatly appreciated. Thank you. Smiley

It's just another gimmick to scam people out of theor money.  There is no need for this.  Iran I'm not opposed to people getting in better shape but the people creating these coins or ecosystems don't care at all.  It's just about swindling people put of their eth or bitcoin that's it.
2598  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Shiba Inu Could Reach $5 By 2050 !!!??? on: June 27, 2022, 06:42:19 PM
Shiba Inu will reach $5 It is foolish to think so. Shiba Inu can reach 0.01 maximum. But it is not possible for Shiba Inu to reach 5$ . It is totally impossible . Shiba Inu token supply is huge. If shib price reach 0.1$ Yet its market cap must be trillions of dollars. Where the total cryptocurrency market cap is now below 1 trillion usd. Then how it is possible for Shiba to gain trillion of dollars alone
People like to daydream Grin This is why we will hear sometime in the future that some people lost a huge amount of money because they thought that some crypto project will make the Billioniers without making proper research on how possible it will be for a project to reach that amount with the current supply they have. On Coingecko, Shiba Inu has a circulating supply of 590 Trillion SHIB coins and a total supply of 1 Quadrillion. multiply that by $5  Grin Grin Grin

Speaking real numbers to people who don't understand is pointless.  The fact people don't understand circulating supply, total supply and other key partners is beyond me.  These are the same people that will claim something is a scam when they lose theor money lol.
2599  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: June 27, 2022, 06:36:39 PM
I watched this year's draft, but I don't know much about the players. Which team do you think won the draft? Did Banchero, Holmgren and Smith qualify for the top three? Players coming out of Duke are generally good. Paolo Banchero was expected to be selected from the 3rd pick, but was selected from the first. On his way to Houston, he suddenly found himself in Orlando.
Maybe we won't see an effect right away, but these players will be the stars of 3-4 years later. Now how Morant, Edwards, Doncic and Young became the stars of the league, their time will also come. I love this aspect of the draft. It can change the fate of teams. There is no such system in Europe, so in every country certain teams always win the championship.

I think Houston and Detroit won the draft here.  Detroit had star pg in Jaden ivey fall on their laps and then traded to get jalen Duran, which effectively will solve theor pg and center position for the future.  Duran could have went top 10 as well so great haul for them.

2600  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: June 26, 2022, 01:06:35 PM
There's a lot of rumors on Kevin Durant lately. I think the guy wants no part on Ben Simmons and Kyrie Irving. If Brooklyn Nets cannot satisfy his demands then he might be the one leaving. There's also rumors on a Boston Celtics trade for Jalen Brown, Marcus Smart and Grant Williams. Though this is a very big gamble if this really happens but who knows. Maybe Boston had seen enough on their Tatum-Brown build.
So the trade is going to be Durant for the 3 Celtics? I think that's a wrong idea if they will do that, the Celtics lineup beat Durant line up, so there's no reason for them to dismantle the team and add a superstar, I guess Boston will just have to improve their chemistry as they are a championship team.

If Durant will be traded, I like him to be in a struggling team that is a championship caliber, I think he belongs to the Lakers but not sure if Nets will accept Westbrook if a trade will happen.

There is no way the Nets trade kd to another team within its own division especially the Celtics.  Not that the Nets and Celtics have a long running rivalry but you are asking for issues if you trade kd to basically one of your main competitors.  Kd isn't moving anywhere most likely.  Not sure why the Nets would want to blow this up already.
