1681  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: February 03, 2023, 10:15:42 PM
Terrible week gambling here.  Going to take it down to just 2 games tonight hoping for at least a 2/3 to get back on track.

3 home teams 2 favorites and 1 dog

Wizards -3
Boston -10.5, how can't you take this team lol
And last gimme the Rockets +8 at home.  That's a lot of points to give while at home.

Good luck everyone.
1682  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: February 03, 2023, 10:09:37 PM
Brooklyn Nets is actually doing surprisingly good. 4th place in the eastern conference and 31-20 right now. And, bam!, Kyrie wants to be traded until the deadline, which is 9th of February. I know this is a natural part of professional sports but I personally don't like this. He wanted to be traded last summer but changed his mind and stayed for one more year. What could be the reason to drive him away so hastily. Some times a decent amount of loyalty is good. Just when finally Nets can do something in the playoffs, Kyrie is running away.
Kyrie has a 15% trade bonus which would have to be paid by the Nets if Irving doesn't void it. He is currently averaging 27.1 PPG. A big loss indeed for Brooklyn that could greatly affect their chance of surviving in playoffs. Rumors said that he is interested in the Lakers. If ever it will happen, the Lakers might have a bigger chance to get a spot in the Play-In tournament. What I'm thinking is will they find their chemistry in time?
Brooklyn would be doing themselves a favor by trading Kyrie IMO. Also, the Lakers would likely be fine. Kyrie and Lebron have played together fine in the past. I doubt we would see an issue. The question is, does KD want to play with Westbrook again?

I think AD and Westbrook have move on and probably is willing to work it out again given another chance. But I think it will be a bad move for the Lakers to get another player with attitude and that is Kyrie. They should be better getting other players that is low key and just wanted to help them to win another ring. Kyrie had history already, against the Boston Celtics and now the Brooklyn Nets. I think the Lakers has a good chance for the playin or even playoff if they continue to win after the All star, they are just 2 games behind the 8th spot.

Kyrie to the Lakers ain't happening.  Nets probably would want a young star or some good draft picks none of which the Lakers have.  Trading away AD and getting kyrie doesn't do the Lakers any good.  They still have an issue with their bench being terrible.  Wonder how Durant plays out in all of this.  Nets might want to restart all over and get a sick package back for the 2 of them.

Got it down to 4 games tonight (and a fifth if I wasn't a knick fan)

Denver -12 against the dubs.  Yep think they take the night off here.  Denver by a ton
Bucks-3.5 at home no matter how the injury list shapes up think they take this game down
Lakers -2.5 on the road.  Liking the Lakers swagger again
Gonna ride lebron into the all star break.
Memphis +5.5.  Dangerous team

And last...if I was not a knick fan I'd bet Miami-2.  Knicks suck at home...I will be rooting for the Knicks but see them chalking up the L at home.  Team is going sideways right now.
1684  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Jake Paul vs Tommy Fury - February 26 in Saudi Arabia on: February 02, 2023, 09:15:18 PM
Another boring cash grab.  It's not even good boxing just filling entertainment gaps and people are willing to pay for it.  I don't get it, what is the obsession with watching Paul box?  Fundamentally it's not even good boxing to watch.  These sub par amateur or entertainment fights hopefully will be a thing of the past soon.  It's getting tired.
1685  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: February 02, 2023, 09:13:06 PM
I have the Warriors +10.5 against the Nuggets. What do you think about the spread? is it a gift or just a trap?

Warriors came from a disappointing loss, and might be tired going to this game but I don't think they'll lose in double-digit against the home team.
About injury, there's no announcement yet that one of their best players will not play, like Curry or Thompson.

So would you guys take the handicap?
I find the Warriors quite hard to read at the moment but the current odds @1.90+ is already decent. I don't see any reason not to take that bet since no reported injuries on starting players as you mentioned. I'm not betting on them on ML but they should be able to cover that +10.5 handicap.

Yes, as of now, there's no reported injuries for the entire Warriors roster except for Andre Igoudala. The starters are quite healthy but lately, they've been playing too long without having any rests in-between and they just had a back-to-back game with a loss too. Let's already consider that maybe Steph or Klay might take the day-off, so that won't be having any wear and tear in the upcoming days. But I agree, a +10.5 handicap is not that bad.

I'm actually putting in on Denver-12.  I know I'm of the minority but think this game will be too much for the Warriors to overcome and I can see Kerr giving guys lots of minutes off.  Concede the game in light of health.  I don't think right away but if they are down double digits by the end of the second quarter think Kerr will take his foot off the gas.  Jokic might be a tough cover for gs.
1686  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: February 02, 2023, 09:08:00 PM
Just wild to think that seats during the Thunders game costs around $75k and I guess for the Bucks too and I think that's where LeBron will make a history passing Kareem. Just few more scores for LeBron for him to pass that greatness but it's still crazy to think that he is passing a guy that only made 1 goal at a three point line.

It is the era where the big men dominate the game so it is just natural that he would score in the paint. And 3-point line was not introduced until he was already half his career. It shows how dominant Kareem is to be able to score that many with just two pointers.

That's for sure because this is a rare scenario and probably one of the most memorable play in the league because there will be another player who will pass Kareem's scoring title and that would take a lot of time before LeBron will get dethroned by someone in the next generations.

May take a while but maybe sooner. The way the game is being played right now, the scoring title can be over took sooner. We are seeing high scoring games lately and I barely see games with scores under 100. Stars are shooting 3s like it is just a perimeter shot. If this kind of game continues, a prolific scorer with a durable body will be able to do it.

With only 89 points to go now it's starting to get exciting.  In order for LeBron to do it at home and on TNT against the Bucks, he's going to have to score 30 points per game in the next three games.  That's his average, so it isn't out of the question.  The pressure will certainly be on though as I don't think anyone wants to be on the other side of this piece of history.  Still, I'm looking for LeBron to try and put up 40 ppg in the next 2 games to make it easy on himself to make the record happen.  It is starting to look a little like it might happen on ABC in front of the Warriors fans though.
.

This is very doable with the help of his teammates. Hope they feed Lebron so it will be easy for him to achieve 40 points per game in his next 3 games. It would be extra special if they can celebrate their achievement in their own home.

I agree that scoring titles will continue to be broken.  Defense is a thing of the past and it's not the players but the rules dictate it.  No hand checking, can't guard in theor personal space.  Rules are built for scoring.  I think this year teams overall are averaging the highest scoring in nba history.  It's no big deal to drop 40 anymore or even 50.  I can see Luka challenge it.  Depending on longevity he started early like lebron and will average 30 for the foreseeable future.  Dude buckets.

how did I know that iphone is originals?
where exactly are you?.

I dont accept ESCROW services. I dont know any trust escrow. If you want ESCROW, we can simply use PayPal Buyer Protection.
the forum have escrow with a million $ was transation here

New price $900-> $700
fix it too on title thread to be $700

They don't want to use escrow because they will likely try scamming you.  Any deals done on here shoukd be done in crypto, and with all of the reputable escrow agents here this is a relatively low price for the amount they typically handle.  I'd steer of anyone not willing to use escrow and call it a day.

1689  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [POLL] Will BNB crash? Will Binance go bankrupt? on: February 01, 2023, 08:47:30 PM
CZ can do this again on other crypto exchange who has their own token but those who don't have their own tokens are lucky because they are safe from this game. They have a good chance to advance in the top ranks. With what power binance have, do you still think that it will collapse?

I don't really think so but if let say it is then I think there are still a chance for recovery because there are still plenty of exchanges left and then there is always new exchange that comes out every day, ready to replace the position of those who collapsed. Even though binance is considered to be a monopoly, I think there is still a chance that crypto will boom and binance still have their own contribution about it.

I'd imagine Binance's collapse would be much bigger than both the collapses of Mt. Gox and FTX. Such a catastrophe would make crypto market prices decline at a very fast pace. It would take years for crypto to recover back to the way it was (if it ever does). Exchange tokens are known to be manipulated by malicious actors, so the industry should step away from them for its own good. I'm glad not every exchange has its own token, otherwise it would be complete disaster in the long run.

CZ has built a strong empire that's hard to tackle with. How long will that empire last is an excellent question. Remember, not your keys, not your coins. As long as you don't keep your crypto in any exchange, you'll have nothing to worry about. Just my opinion Smiley

One exchange couldn't crash crypto forever.  Mt gox pretty much ran all crypto exchanges at least from a percentage base and crypto survived.  Back then when crypto was just some sort of fringe experiment still.  If that didn't kill off crypto, an exchange going upside now won't either.  Here's an idea...stop using exchanges as wallets!!
1690  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Hackers stole $3.8 billion from crypto investors (mainly through Defi) in 2022 on: February 01, 2023, 08:44:55 PM
Reason number 1007 why I don't want anything to do with altcoins or defi nonsense. They are a hackers wet dream.
Tens of millions of staked assets were also lost or hacked from Blockfi, Celsius, etc.

Seems to me ethereum staking (through which you have no self-custody) would be the next big juicy target for hackers.
Which is why proof of stake is horribly risky and unsecure imo.

Hackers stole $3.8 billion from crypto investors in 2022, a 13% increase from 2021 and marking a new all time high for annual theft of digital coins.

This rise in crypto hacks is just the latest indicator to underscore how security within the digital asset market, especially Decentralized Finance (DeFi), remains a major obstacle for the industry.

Agreed.  Staking on these shaky platforms for high yield is too good to continually pay off.  There is no way I'd stick my money in most of these things either.  Greed will catch up to everyone and the amount of crypto that is scammed or stolen will continue because greedy actions breeds dumb decisions.  Buy, hodl, go outside 😀
1691  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: February 01, 2023, 08:38:34 PM
Probably, that was a call from coach Thibodeau because he wanted Randle to take the shot to see if how well he is in handling the pressure, you know just to see if he had some changes while they are still playing in regular games as it's better to know first who are the players that will be reliable enough when situations got tough because I reckon not all the time Brunson will be with the team and healthy.

I don't think there were deeper meanings about that last ball. Randle couldn't use the clock good and couldn't find an opportunity to make a good shot. I'd go with Brunson all day. After Brunson, I liked Hartenstein's performance most. His offensive rebounds get too many second chances for Knicks but they couldn't use them well.
Lakers were better in overtime though. LeBron made another triple double without any effort. Only 89 points left to break the record. With his 30 ppg lately, we'll see the record breaking moment in 3 to 4 matches.

Julius gets a lot of the last minute looks on the team.  No way hartenstein gets the ball there.  He is really a backup center (Mitchell Robinson is hurt).  Backup journeymen center is not getting the last look in that game.  Lakers knew where it was going which was the issue.  Knicks suck in late game situations.
1692  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: February 01, 2023, 08:34:49 PM
Bunch of good games on tonight.  I'm liking 2 home favorites and 1 home dog and one away dog.

Suns -1.5 think they can take this one down
Jazz -3 at home, I'm warming up to this jazz team.  Didn't like betting them early on.
Rockets at home +6.5, think they back door cover but still lose.
And last gimme Nets-9 at Boston.  Kyrie is playing good think they can keep it close in this one as long as kyrie cooks.
1693  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What is your take on this crypto gambling use case idea? on: February 01, 2023, 08:32:31 PM
Do you think it makes sense if a crypto gambling platform only accepts it's own token for gambling and gambling on it's platform? If the games they offer are one-of-a-kind, new, and addictive wouldn't this make the gambling token very valuable? I am asking on behalf of a friend who wants to build his own crypto gambling project on the blockchain. Will this work? Will this fail? What's your take on this?

There have been some toke s to have already done this.  One that comes to mind is wagr.  The problem you really have is people on boarding onto a casino that is just built.  Second would be access to those tokens.  People don't like to have to use sub par exchanges to get the token.  So ypu alhave two on boarding issues.  And a unique game I don't think would work, most new ways to bet are already around don't know unless we knew of what type of game you are talking about.

Well today is a new low for the pro bowl.  Tyler Huntly is going to the pro bowl for the afc as one of the quartbacks.  Yep you guessed it.  Flame throwing Huntly who threw for 2 tds and 3 ints...ALL YEAR is going lol.  Why are we even doing this at this point.  It's like some sort of pro-am event with not even the best guys in the NFL.  Pitiful...

Ypu are right in the fact that greed will always steer you in the wrong direction.  You need to have some level of greed to be able to take advantage of good markets but not enough where you are endlessly throwing your money into completely awful positions in hopes of some sort of "pump".
1697  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: beginner in Crypto on: January 30, 2023, 10:43:19 PM
As a beginner in Crypto with a limited budget would you recommend purchasing the lower priced NFT's?

If ypu are a beginner than I say to stay clear of nfts all together.  Start off by slowly buying some bitcoin and possibly some other bigger altcoins until you get your feet wet.  Whatever you do don't listen to groups trying to pump their bags of low end altcoins.  They are looking for people to dump on you.

I need to frame that screenshot of McCaffrey with the QB play-call wristband on the sidelines.  Grin

For the sake of watching good football let's hope Mahomes' ankle is okay, back to back bad conference championship games will be too much considering how good these were last year...

Too funny.  Feel bad for San Fran on this one but it is what it is.  That afc conference game was awesome down to the end even though it had a flavor of the nfl/refs wanting kc to win this one.  I imagine this isn't the last afc conference championship between these 2.
1699  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: January 30, 2023, 10:39:06 PM
The problem with refs making a mistake like that is the fact that nothing really changes. I have been watching NBA for over 20 years and seen them make a lot of mistakes, either in important situations or even in not so important situations, the time Tim Duncan got ejected for laughing is still in my mind, there was something done about that eventually though.

However, the thing about the current situation is that, if you do not fine the refs and suspend them for a long period of time for making such a game deciding mistake, then what is stopping them from doing it again? Or another one doing it? That is why refs needs to be held accountable a lot more, and we need a lot more refs to replace them if they make a mistake.

No way that will ever happen.  They barely make enough money now.  If they male bad calls they get fined from the talent pool of refs will go significantly down.  These people don't live luxurious lifestyles.  It's not done in any major sport.  Only thing you can do is rank them and prioritize giving the playoff games to the good refs and reward them for making it.  So instead of penalizing bad refs, incentive good ones.

I got 4 games in tonight some home some away.

First gimme the Lakers away +8.5.  No way they aren't fired up for this game after the Boston game went down the way it did.  Throwing a ML bet on them too.

Timberwolves home +1 against Sacramento.  I like how they have been playing this month.

76ers -9 at home against Orlando.  76ers are rolling and embid will be tough to stop in this one.

And last gimme golden state -5 on the road.  I think they got their groove back watch gs start to make a push for the front end of the western conference.
