This feels like a sub par fight here.  Both are on the higher end of the hw draws but there just isn't the fighters in he like there used to be.  The weight class needs a new Tyson, holy field, Lewis, etc.  Not one of these boxers is captivating enough to move the need on entertainment value.  Just not the way it used to be.
1642  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: As mining is no longer profitable... on: February 13, 2023, 10:20:12 PM
As mining is no longer profitable won't the POW algorithms go to shit? They'd be at a real risk of 51% attacks for some coins.

The whole POW Model needs the network to be very busy just for security and to function

It reminds me of when NXT got released and BTC miners worked out it was more profitable cracking NXT loggings then mining coins themselves lol

There will always be equilibrium in the system but you are right if one group monopolized all of the miners then security is at risk.  People and groups will always be interested in mining because once enough people shut down profitability will spike (if price stays neutral or goes up).
1643  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: 4 Altcoins to look at in 2023 on: February 13, 2023, 10:17:27 PM
Doge was just a fad in 2020/21, there are so many heavy bagholders it will be real tough for the price of doge to spike with a constant supply increase of 10k new doge minted every minute or so.  Think doge falls back to be worth 40-60 sats.
1644  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🏈🏈 The American Football Discussion Thread 🏈🏈 on: February 13, 2023, 10:15:21 PM
I thought momentum was beginning to go on the Chiefs until thr Eagles get this touchdown and 2 point conversion to make the game tied with both teams have 35 points each and there is only 5 more minutes. My only wish for the game is an overtime hehehehe.

In any case, Chiefs was also lucky. If Jalen Hurts did not fumble the ball during the 2nd quarter the Eagles should be leading with the score 35-28.

There are many points in the game that kind of pivots it one way or another.  I wouldn't say they are lucky and you can't say they don't catch up with the eagles without that fumble recovery.  If ilhe didn't the whole game would have altered.  Either way it was one of the most exciting super bowls I've seen.  Lots of action just no defense.  Eagles defense folded pretty easily.

Considering Melo hasn't played a single game this year, it's safe to say even he has accepted the fact that he is forced to retire. Don't get me wrong, he has been an amazing player all his career, and he is top 10 in scoring all time list, so this dude is just the perfect scorer of a by gone era, back in the day when everyone did ISO play to score, this dude was one of the best to do it, he was really awesome.

However, with the motion offense becoming more common, three pointers becoming more common and players defending a lot more on perimeter and need a lateral quickness, he is just a net negative these days at his age and that's normal, Wade retired a lot earlier than him when he realized that. So, it's normal for him at that age to retire. It's Lebron that is the unusual one, nobody should be playing that well at that age, dude is superhuman.

Still not entirely convinced someone might not pick him up.  For a good 5-15 minutes off the bench he can still bucket.  I agree the game has changed to a more 3pt game and his breakdown and butter was his mid range game which is basically non existent anymore.  As a knick fan he was fun to watch.  Dude in his prime was one of the best pure scorers in the league.
1646  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to deal with shitcoiners without being harsh about reality. on: February 11, 2023, 04:45:00 PM
YES I WANT TO CONVINCE MY FRIENDS NOT TO GET SCAMMED
WHAT ABOUT THAT IS WRONG?

Your issue is flawed and there is no real answer.  Most people who dive neck deep into altcoins are doing so out of greed.  Looking to hit lightning.  It's like telling people not to play the lottery or gamble on slots.  All losing propositions but rarely do we get involved with their want to gamble on these things.  Ypu can tell them historically but it won't mean much.  If someone told you the odds of winning slots at casinos logic would tell you to stop but greed gets in the way of that.  Same here.  Enjoy the fact you understand the value of just holding bitcoin and move along.
1647  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: OKX about to list SATOSHI CORE on: February 11, 2023, 04:40:29 PM
OKX is about to optain SATOSHI CORE
To be honest I can't wait to invest in core.
Right now I have about 3 CORES but I can't withdraw because it's not lunched yet.
I think the same SATOSHI NAKOMOTO who owned Bitcoin also own core as well which means this both coins will be the highest of all.
From what I read SATOSHI core will be lunched on the 8th of this month ( February ) and the truth of it is that I will be the most happiest person because I will not sell my coin.
If Satoshi core is worth $5000,000,00 and you have about 3 of it,
I think you will stop your monthly job and focus on SATOSHI core as well, though it's risky but REWARD COMES AFTER IT.
Come to think of it, what if the lunching of core is prospond to some other time?
Because it has be prospond severally from the month of November, December and now it's this month January I think it will be prospond as well but I don't want it to prospond. Core DAO should just lunch it.

What are ypu even talking about.  Because someone named this coin Satoshi it means Satoshi owns it lol.  Ypu can't be that much of an idiot to believe that can you?  There is zero need for this coin like a zillion others out there.  Use flash words like Satoshi and core to make it sound like some OG coin or something.  Laughable.

Suns is what Luka look up as a biggest opponent to defeat since they have Durant, CP3 and Booker which can deliver good performance according to their role. Suns is really a big problem since their rooster now is so deep so I guess other team also preparing for them since they are not so easy compare when Durant is on Brooklyn since they really have problem on chemistry and execution at that time.

We still need to confirm that because Durant failed to deliver on Brookly even if they are tandem with Kyrie. Durant is already not on his peak compared before so I’m now not that confident on the team he belongs unless he delivers already. He is monster when he is on GSW because his teammates is capable on carrying him on his bad game.

Booker and CP3 sometimes not that reliable if they have a bad game like what happened on last playoffs when they are beaten by Mavs. I think Nuggets and Grizzlies are more scarier than Suns with unproven Durant on their roster. They gave up a lot of there roster just to get Durant so I’m sure there will be a repercussions on this trade which we can find out once Durant play in actual.

Make no mistake when Durant is back on the court that team is the team to beat.  Durant was playing with scrubs in Brooklyn when kyrie wasn't on the floor.  With cp3 setting the table who you guarding book, Durant?  Gonna single cover ayton down in the low post.  Going from bridges to Durant was an insane upgrade at the 3/4 spot.
1649  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: February 11, 2023, 04:33:41 PM
Today some good games and recently traded people will be on the court with their new teams, should be a fun night of basketball. So far:

I like Philly-1 against the Nets.  Philly is strong and all the new Nets players will take time to figure out rotations on court.

Knicks -6 at home.  Think hart makes an instant impact on defense and help on the boards.  Knicks take this one down

Kings -1.5 Dallas doncic is still out and I'm not sold on the new kyrie yet.  Should see some bumps in the road getting settled on court.  Kings with the win here.

Good luck tonight everyone.

Lol do people even try to hide ponzi schemes anymore at least.  Amazing that these keep popping up do people really put their hard earned money on these still?  The amount of greed in crypto amazes me sometimes.
1651  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Favourite MEME COINS? on: February 10, 2023, 10:03:29 PM
I was always a gem seeker, you know how it is with this low mcaps. They are x100, ×1000 or zero.
Since many years I invested in many coins, started with BTC and ETH like all of us and then some meme coins went with booming profits! Like Shiba and Doge for example.
Its clearly that in our days the MEME Coins have a great potential to make really good money in a bullmarket.
I am more of the guy that looks for some projects with limited supply, of course you cant find all of this in one project.

The question would be what is your favourite coin now? Which meme Coins do you guys invest in now?
Would be very interesting to know your opinion.

Why are ypu looking backwards?  Memes were a fad in 2020/21 the next bull run there will be a new fad with a new set of coins/genre.  Don't make the mistake and look backwards thinking light ing will strike twice.  There are a lot of bagholders waiting to dump theor bags on any movement.  Thread lightly

Phoenix Suns new contender for championship?

Ayton - Booker - Durant - Paul Shocked

Which team has the biggest advantage after trades?
No doubt that it's them. Yeah, they're now a contender for the championship but that doesn't mean it's a guarantee for them.
Mavs also got a good addition so, this would really means that too many teams now are too good to be considered as a top caliber for this season. Lakers as well.

I haven't looked yet but they have to have the highest odds.  This literally is the best situation for Durant.  He doesn't need to bring the ball up and is going to have cp setting the table for him lol.  If everyone stays healthy not a single team is going to want to deal with them.
I agree with the latter part. It's always on how healthy everyone is going to survive the season until they reach their goal, which could be the playoffs, semis, and even the finals.
A team that does have healthy stars are likely the one to be landing the goal of every team and that's to be part of those that I have mentioned. KD surely can go everywhere and I just find it odd this time that the Nets was able to trade him quickly unlike the last time when they're also looking to trade him but no team has taken him.

Between Durant and cp3 and book they've been out a decent amount this year.  Suns will probably "manage" minutes while competing for the top 4 slots in the west to assure 1st round home court.  At least kd and cp3 they are on the wrong side of time in terms of nba minutes.  Hope they all male a run in the playoffs they will be fun to watch.

Lakers let me down by a half point again lol.  They never disappoint.

Tonight's game I'm taking:

Pelicans +3 at home against cavs
Knicks +6.5 at 76ers.  Hart and jalen back together are gonna cook.
Jazz on the road +7.5 against Rapters.

Might hit on some more but that's it for now.

Good luck everyone.
1655  Economy / Economics / Re: Is taking a loan/debt addicted ? on: February 09, 2023, 10:51:48 PM
Well, I have to clarify that personally I have never had any loan or debt in my life so this thread has nothing to do with my experience but intends to find out how people in loan/debt deal with the problem. Let's say you take loans from a bank and sometimes for whatever reason, you can not pay the debt on time, then you borrow money from other channels. Sure this works for a certain period but later bad things may happen, you have to postpone the payment and struggle with finances again. Isn't this a vicious circle ? How would you deal with the problem ? I am all ears.

Head on don't avoid it.  What I mean by that is to look for more work amd pay that loan off as fast as you can.  The longer you delay it the more of your limited money you have you lose it in interest.  It is a vicious circle but the best advise I ever got was just that, don't avoid it.

Line was 0 immediately after the last playoff game. It has since shifted to Eagles -1.5, so more bets are taking the Eagles. I feel on one hand KC benefits from having SB veterans playing and a SB veteran coach. On the other hand Hurts is a beast, will probably get a lot of rushing yards and possibly even run one in, and the Eagles D triumphs over the Chiefs in just about every metric.

Gad, feels bad betting against KC tho. I will ponder it for another day or two.

Everyone laying on the Eagles has me weary.  Vegas doesn't lose big during the superbowl.  I'm leaning more and more on KC.  Just something tells me mahomes is going to have some wierd sidearm, underhand touchdown throw to win the game lol. And Chris Jones on kc is fierce maybe not the whole defense but Jones is gonna create havoc for hurts back there.

Lots of movement today which alters these games

I like Hawks at home -7
Bulls on the road at Nets +1.  Nets being favored against anyone is crazy.  Stop cam thomas and the Nets are terrible.

Last give me Lakers -8.5. I know they are short but I think these trades and lebrons point run behind him will energize this team.  They might not win but they cover here.

Good luck everyone!
1658  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: February 09, 2023, 10:38:40 PM
The NBA went a really crazy trades in the last 48 hrs. The Lakers could've obtained Kyrie if the Nets did not demand too much for the trade. However, the Lakers have somehow upgraded their roster. I'm not sure how this will turn out for them but they've got shooters and rebounder. The most recent one they acquired was Mo Mamba, he's traded for Pat Bev.
On the other side, the Phoenix Suns immediately became the heave favorites to win the championship this year after acquiring KD. What a crazy big 4.

Man I love Pat Bev, he's such a sympathetic guy. Lakers made the right move though, sending a veteran to get a young Center looks like a good deal. Now this trade is understandable as they sent Thomas Bryant for almost nothing.
After this trade deadline I should check latest rosters to weigh positives and negatives as this is one of the busiest deadline days last years.

Yeah getting Bamba was a good move.  That along with theor other moves were definitely a net positive.  They finally got nba players who can shoot.  Beasley is going to be the most underrated move, dude can ball and will get a lot of run with the Lakers.  With what limited pieces they had I thought they dud well.

The surprise for me was Denver moving bones for 2 seconds.  Must have been a head case because the kid looks promising.  Was a great bench piece moved for 2 seconds.  Something was up there

Super depressing though knowing NFL football is almost over for quite some time  Cry

Agreed!

@NFLexperts. Should we have 2 leagues for the next season? League 1 will be opened earlier, drafted earlier and the fee will be 50% cheaper. League 2 will be our regular league similar to what we are doing already.

The XFL starts the Saturday after the super bowl, not sure about fantasy leagues for it though.

Being in a fantasy league for xfl is like going to the horse track and just picking horses with the cool names to win lol.  I will watch a game or 2 but really these leagues never last.  It's fun for a hot second until you realize you are just watching a league full of guys who couldn't make the big leagues.  How many minor league baseball games or g league basketball games can you get through before you turn it off.  One more big one can't wait should be a good game sunday.

With 20 points at halftime it’s looking like LeBron is going to break the record tonight. When they were showing all the celebrities in the house for the game I had a feeling I was going to be wrong. After missing his first two shots he’s been on fire. 16 points in a half is still no small feat, but I feel like he’s got a chance to get it done. Hopefully he can find a way to get a win also.

I got no doubts about him that he will really break the record in the game earlier, right after the game commenced, I know that he will do it even if 36 points sounds big and that would mean that he should carry the ball mostly. I just had a small heartache when his eyes were slightly injured by the one of the Thunders elbow when he drove the ball towards the ring. Fortunately, what happened wasn't that big of a deal and the historical game went smoothly.

As soon as LeBron called it the headband game I knew dude wasn't messing around.  The part that will get lost on the whole thing is that lebron did it in a loss to the young okc team to drop into 13th place in the west.  In terms of a game it was a non event.  Now let's talk about the folks that spent $10s of thousands for tickets on Thursday night to watch him break the record only to be there for another game for a team out of contention 😆
