2581  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin to hit $100k? on: April 01, 2022, 03:19:50 PM
This year is still a long way to go, and we are already in April and 2021 is the start of a bull run, I'm sure this year can be better than 2021 so I don't panic too much when the price drops, even I'm optimistic that the $100k price can be reached soon, no it will take a long time or maybe before august the $100k price will happen.
Historically though, April is not a good month, so let's just see how it will do this year. I'm not expecting a full bull run, maybe just occasional increased because of some good news like the Terra investments. Otherwise, April will be just another regular month in this bearish cycle. Nevertheless, I believed that $100k is going to be unlocked around 2024-2025 right after the halving period as it is the catalyst for the next bull run.
2582  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: April 01, 2022, 02:22:51 PM
HUGE overtime win for the Chicago Bulls last night.  They are in a very dangerous territory with the playoffs coming up so soon and being in 5th place in the Eastern Conference.  Demar DeRozan went off for a huge 50 points last night to lead the Bulls to a must win.  Zach Lavine continues to struggle a bit which is of course extremely worrisome as they get so close to the playoffs.  Had they lost this game, I think they'd have been in dangerous territory getting close to a play in game that might be versus the Brooklyn Nets which would be a very scary proposition.
I never thought that they are going to win against the Clippers . I have check the score from time to time and it seems that Clippers have been in control. I regret not watching the game because when I look at the score the last time it was an OT win by the Bulls. So for now, it was a good win for them, moving up in a clogged Eastern conference. And DeRozan is really getting all the experience from his previous stint with the Raptors and the Spurs as he didn't choke in this game.
2583  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: April 01, 2022, 11:24:39 AM
@danherbias07 - thanks for the tip about the Hawks game, I put a decent amount on them -6.5 and by the end of the second quarter, everything looks good.

And you are right, Okongwu + Capela = 29 big points and 26 rebounds, as they have taken advantage of the absence of Mobley in the middle.
2584  Economy / Speculation / Re: ₿ not going below 40.000 (probably) on: March 31, 2022, 06:11:31 PM
~
Yeah, but me thinks that this sudden surge of price might not hold and I'm not feeling comfortable with it. It's better to have a steady and slow growth or a massive downturn and and slow recovery.

And so with the current movement, wherein someone is pumping it to even levels of $44k-$45k, we might be getting the traders to the edge and who knows, maybe they are going to be push over the edge in the next couple of months and will decided to sell just to make a quick money specially those who have invested when the price is below $40k.
I am also expecting a major sell out in the meantime by institutional investors who entered the market well before the halving and whenever we see a pump in the market i feel like they will be booking their profits and i really do not think that they will dump everything all of a sudden and they are booking their profits strategically. I am curious to see how long this push will continue before going for a correction and then repeating the same process over again.

Yes, maybe testing the liquidity again that's why the prices really dip after reaching all time high and now we are seeing the same pattern. We reached $48k but slowly, the price is coming down again to the $45k'ish. So obviously the sell-off has started already so I might be right by saying that the market doesn't look good and I'm not comfortable with it's run to $48k. Someone is playing again and taking advantage.
And that's why I remain to be at least bearish this year and not expecting huge runs and price going below $40k is to be expected.

As you have said, there could be pressure now, as the price didn't have any push to reach $50k after going as high as $48k this week.We all know the news about Terra investing huge amount, and then there is the war in the background. So too much is going on inside and outside the market that can affect the price, so we should always be wary of it.
2585  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: March 31, 2022, 05:44:13 PM
I have two of my bets being voided, Badosa (-2.5) and Cerundolo (+5.5).

But I will be looking for a Medvedev win, the game will start in the next couple of minutes, and will probably take 2:0 set win by Danill here. Hopefully he can win and advances because this is a good opportunity to win the tournament although he will have have an easy route to the finals.
I came late to the game. Already 3:0 for Hurkatz so I took a simple ML on Medvedev @2.10. I did not watch a single point of this match yet but it seems like a value bet at this point. What were the odds on Medvedev before match started? I am thinking not more then 1.3 so this 2.10 only because of one break and that one in first serve game looks like absolute steel.
If I'm not mistaken, it's around 1.4x for Medvedev at the beginning ML.

But it was a bad start for him, I thought he can take out HurKacz in 2 sets, but he is down 5-2 now. I will try to do live betting as well, and see how it goes. We might see him doing a come back or worst, a big upset in the making.
2586  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: March 31, 2022, 05:20:22 PM
Nets vs Bucks will most likely be the star of the show later and the odds are quite tempting even though it looks like a trap.
So yes, going to risk it again. Nets -1.5. How I wish they will rest Giannis for this to be a sure win.  Cheesy
This will be another big test for the Nets though, Giannis is going to be the dangerous man here. I'm not sure how can contain him, so he might erupt for another 40 point performance.

Two more bets I already locked in.
Detroit Pistons vs Philadelphia 76ers - 76ers -10.5 With a healthy roster, this amount will be easy to reach.
Atlanta Hawks vs Cleveland Cavaliers - Hawks -5.5 Mobley out, Allen out, Wade out. Capela will no doubt dominate the paint. Good luck.
I like the Hawks chances though, they are on a winning streak and it seems it's Trae Young time again as they inch closer to a playoff. And it seems that Cavs are fading away in their last 5 games.

2588  Economy / Speculation / Re: Expect Bullrun this year again! on: March 30, 2022, 05:01:24 PM
Before the Russian invasion of Ukraine I would have thought this year and next
were going to be Bear years but because of the interest in Bitcoin by Russia all of a
sudden a Bear year is looking a little less likely IMO.

Russia is looking to side step the sanctions imposed on it by using Bitcoin so damand
SHOULD increase which MAY contribute to a bull run
One thing that I find interesting is that both sides of the conflict are using bitcoin for their own purposes, the bitcoin community has sent a significant amount of money to support Ukraine during these difficult times, while the Russian government and some of their citizens are thinking about using bitcoin to sidestep the sanctions, this should show us why bitcoin is unstoppable, as no matter what regulations governments try to be impose on bitcoin, it can still be moved freely and that is incredibly useful no matter how we look at it.
This is true, initially it was only Ukraine, with the donations pouring in anonymously. And then Russian government made a U-turn and thinking of accepting bitcoin as payment for their oil. So it's a win-win situation for us bitcoin enthusiast because it just shows how bitcoin can be used in war, so another use case for us. But as far as those predictions by the so called expert, again, I will take everything with a grain of salt. As we really don't know what will be the movement in Q4 of this year.
2589  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Luna movement to the Top 3 on: March 30, 2022, 11:46:53 AM
Top 3? so it means that it will be just behind Bitcoin and then Ethereum? That's really ambitious if we are going to look at the bigger picture. And as much as we love Terra, I don't think it will have enough push to go and land to the top 3.

There are a lot of solid coins, like BNB or even ADA that is occupying the top 5 spot. So Terra will have to overthrow them. But it's going to be very difficult as they have established their community of investors already.
2590  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: March 30, 2022, 10:22:32 AM
It's difficult to tell if that is a goaltending or not when a shot is that close to the rim. IMO, it's clean as Giannis reacted fast after Embiid jumped. That was actually too fast, it's kind of scary. Instincts.  Grin
But it got me thinking, the ball downward flight is their basis to call it but how about for small guys using underhand layups without using the backboard?
They should make a new rule about it when a player shoots near the basket. Officials have missed a lot of goaltending cases and they won't even check it anymore. This could be a good learning point.
Yes, Giannis athleticism is displayed again, we have seen him blocking shots at crucial time so this is no surprised. Maybe Embiid is really on a hurry to make that shot, so maybe instead of a follow up, he could have dunk it to tie the score.

But it you look closely, it is a clean block (at least that's how I see it). Tough loss of the Sixers at home, and Heat getting the top spot again.
2591  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [BOXING] George Kambosos vs Devin Haney - Undisputed Lightweight Title - June 5 on: March 30, 2022, 08:48:27 AM
I think it will be awesome if Kambosos will face Loma in this fight. This will be huge as Loma will have the chance to get back the belts that Kambosos has taken from him. I do hope though that he will be given an exception, just like Usyk by the military to go and fight and bring honor for their country outside like in boxing. But it seems that is not going to happen so Plan B for Kambosos, now he has to face another champion in the division. Although he is the weakest amongst them, I think this will still be a good fight for Kambosos again.
2592  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: March 30, 2022, 08:10:46 AM
^^ It will be a great match vs Alcaraz and Tsitsipas. It could even go to 3 sets, Alcaraz though is the favorite at ML.

But I will be going for Alcaraz by handicap -2.5 (1.83). I think he can easily covered this score. Although Tsitsipas will make it close, but with the way Alcaraz is playing this year, it's hard to stop him at this point.
I was hoping Tsitsipas will be favorite and that I will be able to place bet on Alcaraz +2.5 at that odds. This way it is no bet for me in handicaps. I am keeping it simple with ML today.
Alcaraz ML @1.55 - medium stake
Kyrgios ML @1.50 - high stake
Fritz ML@ 1.6 - high stake
Combined @3.72 - low stake,  good enough for me

Kyrgios is down at the moment, 0:1, and break for Sinner in second set
have you watch Kecmanovic on this tournament, I know that Fritz won Indian Wells, haven't watch matches on both tournaments, but local press is saying that Kecmanovic is playing very well, not sure that Fritz will get that easily, especially since he is tired, not usual for him to play three weeks in a row, ten matches

Alcaraz should win, I can see him as no.1 prior to Medvedev, and speaking on him, he is also down by a break in first set
Good win by Alcaraz, as expected, Tsitsipas is already fading, not surprised that his standing will go down this year.

I want to shift my attention on the ladies now:

Badosa vs Pegula - I will pick Badosa -2.5.

I think Badosa can have this one in the bag in 2 sets.
2593  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoin market, what to expect I'm this season on: March 29, 2022, 10:10:02 PM
~
Usually altcoin prices tend to follow Bitcoin prices for obvious reasons that same mindset of some investors that all coins are connected together as they're all volatiles with the exception of stablecoins.
When I was still starting up in crypto, I had the mindset that I should go for Bitcoin first before I consider these altcoins which I did long time ago.
True, bitcoin and altcoin has some correlation, I haven't seen any altcoin that goes up by itself, maybe a few but it's obvious that it is being pump hard by some individuals behinds.

So its safe to say that when bitcoin goes on a bull run, the price will go up. That is what we are seeing right now bitcoin going to $50k and then all other altcoin following it's path. So the same as well when bitcoin goes down or if we enter a bearish cycle. Majority of altcoins are going to suffer in a bear market, lots of bleeding around.
2594  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will Bitcoin Price Enter the $30k Area? on: March 29, 2022, 02:47:50 PM
I think bitcoin will not back $30k again because bitcoin price increase day by day.February month bitcoin dropped  under $33k but This march month bitcoin price $47.5k+ level. The cryptocurrency market positive now and all coin price grow up again.I hope bitcoin price will more grow end of march and i hope bitcoin will touch $60k+ this year.
It's early to say if we are not going back to $30k or even less at this stage. Yes, the price has been growing in the last week or so, even breaking $45k, which for me is another accomplishment. Nevertheless, we can't tell if we are going to $60k or going down to $30k because there could be unforeseen events in the future that can sway investors to pour their money on the market.
2595  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Errol Spence Jr vs. Yordenis Ugas 3-Belt Welterweight Unification Match on: March 29, 2022, 02:13:38 PM

Knowing the class of Spence, he will attack and take chances of breaking his opponent's defenses. If Ugas breakout, his chance will be slim as Spence can overpower him by throwing solid punches around.

On the other hand, if Ugas stays calm and keeps his defense strong, then Spence might be upset and could probably lose his focus on his game plan. Ugas wasn't popular until he dominated Pacman, but the big question now is, can he do it again against Spence?
That's why this fight is really going to be very interesting as it's hard to predict the outcome although Spence is the favorite to win.

There' are a lot of possible scenarios that might happen in this fight. Spence being the aggressor and then Ugas shielding himself and then doing some counter. And the fight is possible to end up in the judges scorecard that we might see a split decision.
2596  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: March 29, 2022, 01:50:47 PM

Chicago doesn't look good to be honest, they are only 4-6 in the last 10 games, and are now already ranked at number 5. They could go down too if they keep losing their games,  and I'm sure Nets would take care of them if they will face.

They do not look good now but things could be different in the playoffs. It's hard to make an early judgment because in playoffs there are plenty of surprises like upsets do happen. I even think that the Lakers could give us a surprise, they are struggling now but who knows they could be the champion.. LOL... do you think it will happen too?
True, playoff games are different, however, Bulls is also not battle tested on playoff, DeRozan has the most experienced amongst them. So it they remained inconsistent now, they could be the same or worst in the playoff as the pressure is high. Unless DeRozan and Lavine elevated their games and proved that they are the best duo right now. Otherwise, if could be an early exit for them.

2598  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is Bitcoin bounce back to 60k in this year? on: March 28, 2022, 01:11:19 PM
today the price of bitcoin rose very drastically and currently the price of bitcoin is in the range of $ 47k. it seems the bear market is coming to an end because in the last week the price of bitcoin has gone up very significantly. the price of bitcoin reaches $60k again this year is still very wide open because 2022 is still long and if conditions in ukraine are conducive I am sure the price of bitcoin will rise faster than now. in 2021 the price of bitcoin rose from $29k to $66k in about 4 months, in other words the same thing can happen again in 2022 because 2022 is still the beginning of the year and it looks like the bear market is coming to an end.
Don't preempt and says that the bear market is coming to an end, we barely just started and usually bear market are long and hard and deliberate.

We just have to thank that someone is pushing the market right now but I should be wary of it because it seems to be artificial. And with that means that the market might fall hard because of it. Specially when those who pump it are going to sell their bitcoin when no one else see that coming. And then it will be followed by a huge sell-off.
2599  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Canelo Alvarez vs Dmitry Bivol - May 7 on: March 28, 2022, 11:23:20 AM
Without a doubt this is a good news, after all the possibility of the fight being canceled or delayed was real, as right now there is a very strong call to boycott anything and anyone that comes from Russia, so I applaud the decision of the WBA to keep sanctioning this fight as without a doubt it does not seem as if Bivol is in favor of the war and as such it would be unjust to punish him for something that is completely outside his control.

Actually, the world is just making sure that Russian athletes won't be harmed since not all people can understand the ongoing war between Russia and Ukraine. That's why on other sports, they ban Russian athletes. There might be a case that fans will throw shits to the Russian athletes in a certain event regardless if those are in favor or not in the war. That will be unfair treatment to them.

Here in Canelo vs Bivol fight, the venue will be on US soil and there might be fans on the venue that will treat Bivol badly. Although he's not totally lived in Russia, his hometown is part of the USSR. The US has backed up Ukraine and Bivol might end up not being respected by the fans on the day of the fight.

They are just ensuring the match will not lead to protest or rally inside the arena.
Because they won't know what will possibly transpire during the day of the fight.
So yes, it is good that they are assessing the situation here before it happens.
But most Russian athletes are condemning Putin's move, but they can't do much about it.
They are like one of the collaterals of this war. Most of them haven't seen this coming.
Exactly, they are just the victims of the war led by their President. Bivol has nothing to do with it so that is unfair for him if the fight is going to be cancelled or there could be protest or rally inside or outside. He is just a boxer trying to make his dreams come true by fighting one of the best in our generation and hopefully, who knows he could upset Canelo.
2600  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: March 28, 2022, 10:21:04 AM
You mean prime Canelo? Yes, you have a point. Well, if that happens then it's quite clear that GGG doesn't stand a chance to defeat the current Canelo as he don't got what it takes anymore. So a trilogy will be nonsense to even bother make it happen.

Canelo is just 31 years old so we can take that factor that he's on prime. It's an advantage over a 40-year-old GGG. If Murata will defeat GGG, non-sense to fight now with Canelo if he can't handle the types of Murata, how can he defeat Canelo which is currently powerful at this stage?

GGG will be tested by Murata. It can also be considered as his training before facing the stronger Canelo.

We all like to see the trilogy. GGG has to pass Murata if he really likes the third fight with Canelo.

Agreed. It is also head shaking that boxing fans want to witness a trilogy for Canelo and GGG. This Canelo of today would knockout the GGG of today in 7 rounds that everyone might say that it was unfair for the promoters to give GGG to Canelo hehehe. Compare the improvements of each boxer and decide. I reckon it is Canelo who has been challenging himself for his legacy.
He has accomplished a lot already and could surpassed Julio Cezar Chaver Sr as the greatest Mexican boxers of all time. He already set the bar high, with his 5 belt and the first Mexican to do so. And then he has a tons of followers as well. For his legacy, this will be the ultimate, to close the book on GGG and win in this trilogy.
