1661  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gervonta Davis VS Hector Luis Garcia SAT, JAN 07, 2023 on: November 19, 2022, 03:25:23 AM
I got confused, I thought that we have Ryan Garcia all set for May?

But now Tank is going to fight another Garcia this January? and then go for a May fight with Ryan? something is not right here, the fight is very close to each other and I wonder how Tank will manage that one. Unless he knockout Hector Luis Garcia in round one here.

Something is not right here, something's fishy.
1662  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing: Errol Spence vs Keith Thurman on: November 18, 2022, 08:50:13 AM

The diversion of attention of the fans are now on this match. Okay, there's no more Spence and Crawford because of this match and that's why schedules and deals won't be possible anymore.

Both has good set of records, as Thurman's performance isn't convincing against Barrios. Maybe this time, he'll retrieve himself and will show the expected Thurman that everyone wants.
For now we will not see a mega fight between Spence and Crawford, but once they both win in their respective fights, for sure the hype will be up again as the fans would always want to witness a big fight which is the undisputed fight between them.
Yes, but not sure if both are still interested, the two boxers have said that they don't need each other as they have cemented their legacy. And I think that when Crawford went to the public and reveal everything and it make Al Haymon a bad guy in the eyes of many boxing pundits.

And so I doubt that he will likely push the go signal here again, unless Crawford is willing to take less money, maybe just around 30% if there is a guaranteed purse split between the two. Sort of payback from Al to Crawford, suffer the consequences of portraying him as the bad guy.
1663  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Jermell Charlo vs Tim Tszyu - Jan 28, 2023 on: November 18, 2022, 08:04:58 AM
Some news regarding Tim Tszyu sparring partner:

Quote
One the fighters who Tszyu would love to secure as a sparring partner - is his most recent opponent, Olympian Terrell Gausha.

“If I get Terrell for sparring, that would be incredible,” Tszyu told The Herald. “He’s got great defense, great experience, great timing. He’s aware of all the punches and has great skill. I think Brian Castano used him for his Charlo fight, so that would be perfect.

https://www.boxingscene.com/tim-tszyu-wants-secure-terrell-gausha-prepare-jermell-charlo--170521

I think some of us might not know, but getting a sparring partner to at least emulate the style of your opponent is very important for boxers.

Just funny though that Tim is getting a sparring partner that he just had beaten, a boxer that has knock him down. But what's important is the experience that he will get sparring with Gausha and vice versa.

And so it seems the boxing community is excited to see this fight early next year.  Smiley
Correct, but I don't think that he will just one get sparring here, could be multiple and Terrell could be just one of them.

And if I remember correctly, another Australian was used to be a sparring partner of Manny Pacquaio and his name is George Kambosos Jr, he won the belt as we all know against Teo Lopez last year. But lost it twice already to Devin Haney.

Not saying that Tim will have the same path, but maybe his hard work will pay off against Jermell Charlo.
1664  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ftx hacker bought 7000 eth on: November 18, 2022, 07:35:34 AM
Chances are the hacker is storing in another token first. Various sources also say the mysterious hacker behind it is now the 35th richest ETH holder.

Reportedly, several addresses associated with the FTX account drain moved over 21,555 ETH worth, or over $27 million, to a single address which was then converted to DAI on the CowSwap exchange service.

I think they (hackers) will eventually move to USDT.
Thanks for the info, I  didn't follow the news because I'm thinking that the hack could be the work of someone inside, this is just my thoughts.
I mean the timing, when everything is falling apart on FTX, they halted the withdrawals and everything, and in the exact time, the hackers were able to breach them, and stole that huge amount of ETH.

So that is already a double black eye for SBF, as there are tons of investors losing huge amount of money and "some" hackers just take it away from them without any difficulty and now richer by a millions that we can't trace as who owns it.
1665  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Tank Davis vs. Ryan Garcia betting and discussion (May, 2023) on: November 18, 2022, 03:36:56 AM
Good news indeed, although what Tank Davis hold is just the paper belt as Haney has all the belts right now.
But with the hype surrounding this fight and this two going out in public and social media to verbally attack each other and wanted to fight, make sense that the deal is finally in table.

They really hate each other, so just imagine the weigh in and the stare down and the promotions. Not sure who to look and who will take the W hear, both have power to knock each other out. But I'm not be surprised to see Davis being the favorite in the sports bookies.

And I think this is part of it, to assure it's customer that everything is ok with us and with Binance.

I got that email in my inbox, but still though, I have qualms so I withdraw all my funds now.

Nevertheless I might continue to do some small trades and continue to accumulate and then withdraw it again if I'm not feel comfortable with the amount in their platform.
1667  Economy / Speculation / Re: Crypto dump is just getting started? on: November 17, 2022, 09:32:35 AM
We all know that Bitcoin will increase in the future and reach the value it deserves, and you are right about this. The real question here is, will the investor be able to wait for the duration that will pass? While there is a problem in the world every month, there is a great uncertainty. This is one of the things that makes people nervous.
Investors are people who want to invest just because there is a chance of profit after investing even if they have to wait for a while. Now, in this case, investors who have already invested, of course, want to wait for the duration to pass, but for investors who haven't had the chance to invest this month, I think they will choose another place to invest, even if it's only for a while, while monitoring the market getting better.

Because they also don't want to waste time just because of certain conditions that are happening when there are other places that are more profitable to invest their money in. And if you have to wait, I think everyone will definitely want to wait for the sake of not losing because losing is something that everyone who works as an investor always avoids.
There are two set of investors,

Those who are into the long haul of it, regardless of what the price is right now, they will do DCA and continue to accumulate and wait for the right time to sell and make a huge profit

And there are those who are into it for short term, so make a choice.

For me it's very easy in this crash or crypto dump, it's better to buy and accumulate and wait till the next bull run.
1668  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Naoya Inoue vs Paul Butler - Undisputed Bantamweight Bout - December 13 on: November 17, 2022, 08:56:08 AM
However, it seems Bob Arum won't allow his Inoue to face the champions right away and for me, that would also be a nice move once he moved up. There's no need to rush for a title match right away although I really badly want to see Inoue facing Fulton or Akhmadaliev in a title match someday.

That's not really far from happening once Inoue climbs the next weight class and that might be the closest case because Bob Arum is known to take a less risky path for his fighters while milking them at the same time for challenging a much easier opponent. I assume that Bob Arum will let Inoue to face either Fulton or Akhmadaliev after 2 non-title fights, with win of course.
Arum is a genius, so yeah for sure he won't let that happen unless the champion is weak, but Fulton is no pushover. So I'm expecting Arum to just pick someone that can easily be beaten by Inoue by knockout or by another impressive win.

And maybe, when the hype is still there, he will allow Inoue to face either champion.

But then again, boxing politics might be the biggest stumbling back again.
1669  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: November 17, 2022, 08:20:00 AM
I saw the news about Dwight Howard is playing on the league in Taiwan. There's now a follow up news that a team there too, the GhostHawks are wanting to take Carmelo Anthony to their team.

So, it's very likely that he'll take the sign there and play for that league. I felt bad again for Melo when he's got stuck with no team want to take him just like the past seasons when he's on the same situation.

But hopefully, he gets to sign there and play against Dwight's team.

Carmelo isn't signing in that league.  If he doesn't get signed anywhere here he will just retire.  Most likely he gets picked up mid season.  His wife La La wouldn't live there she likes the LA/NY life.

Who knows. We have not heard of an official statement coming from him on whether or not he accepts the offer or he already had but i missed it lol. Besides, he can actually play overseas with his wife still living in the US. However, if he thinks some team will pick him up mid season, then that should be the main reason why he's not signing, otherwise that offer is actually good than nothing as he still does not consider retiring.
He could still play for a couple of years, and he'll probably going to be a good addition in any of the teams from that Taiwan league.
I think for a player of Carmelo's marketability before as a superstar, it might be hard for him not to play in NBA and play somewhere else like Asia or Europe. So I believed that he will stick to the plan of waiting for a NBA team to still hire him even before or after the All star break.

And if no one pick him up, then maybe retirement should be the next best move for him. Unless he swallow his pride and go overseas in Taiwan with Howard.
1670  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: November 17, 2022, 08:00:44 AM
We have a 140 lbs fight this November, it's between Regis Prograis and  Jose Zepeda.

Josh Taylor unified the 140 lbs belt, but he then decided to relinquished the WBC belt and now Prograis and Zepeda will have a chance to get this belt. Prograis lost to Taylor while Zepeda against Jose Ramirez, (and then Taylor beat Ramirez to get all the belts).

Prograis a huge favorite as per Stake @1.23, against Zepeda's odds @4.00
Yes, surprised to see how Prograis became a favorite and with that kind of odds. I think Zepeda has pull an upset here and I like his odd at 4.x.

Zepeda is very durable as well so I expect this fight to be a war as this is for the belt. Although Prograis is also good, but it's going to be a close fight here.

Maybe the fight can go either direction in the judges scorecard, but I do agree, if someone who also look for a live underdog, it will be Zepeda in this fight.
1671  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: MATIC LEADING THE ALTCOINS MARKET on: November 16, 2022, 10:26:40 AM
First, we should DYOR, just because some project is going up right now, that it could sustain it's run and be the leader in the altcoin market.

Still ETH for me though, as the obvious leader in Altcoin market, there are a lot like BNB and ADA that you can compare to Matic rise, but the question is the sustainable and how Matic will maintain it's price. We all know that the altcoin market has a lot of risk involved, pump and dump, so very hard to invest on something that will continue to grow at this bear market.
1672  Economy / Speculation / Re: Stop the panic, I doubt we will see 14k or less Bitcoin on: November 16, 2022, 10:07:13 AM
Market opportunities to fall are certainly very open because many are worried that new cases such as FTX will occur again, exhcanges that use manipulation data will certainly have the end period and users will know that so the owner will stop withdrawing and this will have a long time to recover.
No sure what you mean by manipulation, I doubt that someone manipulated the fall of FTX, it's just the market is really uncontrollable as this point, it's very volatile and we don't know when people are going to withdraw and have like a bank run.

So as far as $14k price, it could still be very open, we have seen the price going down to $15k so what are the chances not going below that?

And what are investors going to do if they see the price at $14k? right, that is the best opportunity again to stack sats.
1673  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [BOXING] Manny Pacquiao vs. DK Yoo on: November 16, 2022, 09:50:42 AM
Initially though, for me being a boxing fan, I don't understand why they boxers will have to go thru all of this exhibition matches and earn money. But come to think of it, they guys after their boxing careers, doesn't have the income. Most of them might not invest the money that they earn during their prime. Or at least sustain their life style. So as fans, we really need to acknowledge where this boxers are coming from.

And just recently, Ricky Hatton and Marco Antonio Barrera have their own exhibition fight. Two contemporaries of Manny Pacquiao.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QvEqo0KsNGE
They already past of their prime for all of their careers and that's why even Floyd Mayweather Jr. is taking all of the offers for these exhibition matches.

They've got nothing to lose but still everything to gain by just accepting these offers.

It's true that they might have no other source of income and they all leaned to boxing. That's why it is understandable as to why most of these boxers who can't fight professionally anymore are into exhibition matches.
I saw some glimpse of the fight, and they still show some their form, both can still fight like they are in their primes. And we all know that they didn't meet in the ring because Hatton is a 140 lbs while Barrera's best in 135 lbs.

But still we are all happy to see at least this two inside the ring and could have answered the "what if" questions in our mind as a boxing fans.

And at least Hatton seems to have recovered already after the beating that Pacquiao gave to him during their fight.
1674  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: November 16, 2022, 09:25:45 AM
The decision will always on their favor. We can't force them to push the fight unless they are satisfied with the amount that they can collect once the fight proceeds. Greediness inside those people is no longer new. They will suck all the possible amount as long as the fighter is under their umbrella.

Just like what you mentioned about Pacquiao and how things went between him and Arum.

Money talks, as always, with sports that have a huge amount of money that flows each time well-known fighters are at stake.

Not siding with Arum but somehow, we can't hide the fact that his big influence also plays a role in why most of his top fighters are able to earn big money throughout their career. What if Pacquiao didn't land on a big promoter, I doubt he will have some big fights while at the peak of his career. Bob Arum, being a professional businessman in this industry knows how to make big revenue in a certain match. Of course, without a big money flowing on a certain match, how can they even pay their boxers with that guaranteed money (that was different from purse split)?

Boxing is really business at some point, but somehow a boxer can build a legacy while also doing business at the same time.
True, boxing is a business, and so these boxers need the middle man like Bob Arum to negotiate. If there are businessman that understand that side, then this boxers might be taken advantage of and fights not being broadcast. So there could be some that hate Arum and others, but they are the one who build boxing to where it is today and boxers earning millions in return.
1675  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing: Errol Spence vs Keith Thurman on: November 16, 2022, 02:38:18 AM
Their records are quite close with one another, I'm not even seeing Thurman's first loss as a disadvantage. Spence is still on a streak but I guess he's still the 'underdog' (only on my point of view) if this match is really happening. One reason is experience of Thurman wherein he fought against big names of boxing industry (well spence as well) but I don't know; there's something with Thurman's previous opponents not only with pacman, which made me a bit of his fan. More like Thurman is more of a solid puncher for me, compared to Spence who often boxes out 'coz he's more of a texbook fighter.

Would be really a great match up. Big respect to the champ still even if I'm a fan of Thurman. Both have advantages;different styles in the 'square'. This would be exciting for sure!

This fight has been ordered by the WBC and that reason alone is already sufficient to believe that this fight will push through but I'm thinking that Spence might just give Thurman a shot on the WBC belt and not all the three titles that Spence has been holding, there's a reason why and it goes way back when Spence was looking forward to be a challenger of the WBA belt that Thurman held at that time, but he was denied. Not sure about this because I cannot find any article or story that can verify Spence's claim.

Anyway, fate made them to cross each other's path again and this time it's almost inevitable, just waiting for the final announcement regarding their match-up. This will be a good fight because Keith Thurman does have a good chance against Errol Spence, this will be fun.

though we will expect that spence will be the favourite here when it comes to odds. but for those rooting with thurman as for sure, he will seriously prepare on this fight, would be good to place bet as the odds will be good, may be 2x or more. we will see on this fight also if thurman is ready on this comeback and if he can fight big names to get a place again on this sports.
Yes, I initially thought that Spence could win this easily, but I have a feeling that if the fight push through, Thurman has still something inside, some fire to proved that he is still elite as he once was one of the champion in this division and he was the man before Spence and Crawford step up in 147 lbs and before he was defeated by the legendary Pacquiao.

So maybe he can still fight and show us some good action. He has power and Spence is known to have a chin that is very suspected. Ugas hit him cleanly when they are in a break and Spence legs wiggle for a bit. So just imagine if Thurman still has the power, maybe he could give Spence a problem as a underdog.
1676  Economy / Speculation / Re: Expectation Rock Bottom Level Bitcoin on: November 15, 2022, 11:48:22 AM
I understand that the expectation is that between 10k-13k will be the Bitcoin value before it steady will go up. But could it be that at 16k it will hold and grow from there?
No one knows, but based on experience, when we expect something, the opposite happened. Just like in the last bull run, we thought that $100k could be the highest, but we didn't reach that price.

So expect the unexpected as others will say.

And it's just a question on how you are going to cope if the price suddenly goes down to $10k-$13k levels, are you ready to buy more? or still wait still?
1677  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Twitch To Ban Gambling Streaming By October 18th. on: November 15, 2022, 10:50:55 AM
And now almost a month from their ban, it seems that gambling streams are still continuing. Paid gambling streamers are still being paid big time regardless of what platform they are going to show their game.

With that, did Twitch made the right decision?

Do they still make money out of those gambling streams in their platform? Because as far as I know there are still some that can stream it through Twitch.
1678  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: November 15, 2022, 10:35:03 AM
The best game today was the Miami Heat versus the Phoenix Suns.
It's unusual to witness a win from a defensive stance and Jimmy Butler made players and fans see again how the defense is a crucial part to win a game.
That block he did against Booker was so impressive it made me stand in my seat. Goosebumps.
Adebayo took care of their 4th quarter offense but Butler did a lot to prevent Booker from being an offensive monster. A splendid win for the Miami Heat.
And Miami is known for their defense if I'm not mistaken, and that's how they built their team. Butler is a offensive players but he usually locks the opposite player. And we all know that Booker is one player hard to stop, but as soon as you know how to play this guy, maybe you will have a chance to shut him down. And so that's what Butler did, make Booker uncomfortable and that block to like put a dagger on the Suns.
1679  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Naoya Inoue vs Paul Butler - Undisputed Bantamweight Bout - December 13 on: November 15, 2022, 10:05:13 AM
Yes, they are siblings, and usually Japanese and Filipino boxers have their sort of rivalry in Southeast Asia. So I'm not surprised that they are willing to test the other Inoue against a Filipino here. Unfortunately, Bornea is a relatively unknown. But who knows, he can pull a surprise here. He has nothing to lose and everything to gain if he fight everything against Takuma and upset him in his brother card. And yes, news is that after he unified and win against Butler, he will move up to super bantam.

With hard work and determination also excellent coaching from his brother, he will surely improve when he will gonna first fight some boxers that are not really strong or capable of giving him hard time inside the ring because when you have the right trainers and the right skills with you, there are really have enough rooms for improvement and when he will gonna fight a Filipino boxer, he is one step to be able to cross every hard storm in his next fights and after a year or two without tasting any single lost, he will be given an opportunity to fight for a championship.
Yes, but it's different body and personality, you will have the best comparison, Manny and Bobby Pacquiao. It was Bobby who was in boxing early that Manny, but it was the younger Manny who become the best boxer of our generation. So it might be that they have the same last name. But it doesn't mean that they will have the same path in greatness in boxing. I will say that Naoya is much better than Takuma.
1680  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: My reason to be in btc on: November 15, 2022, 06:31:58 AM
[..snip..]
So USA and crypto Are together and strong btc and USA Are together.
I don't know, but if we have to read between the lines, it seems you can keep USA out of your mouth? And for you, everything they do is good. So regardless if they are in BTC or not? everyone will benefit from them? Wrong assumptions by the way, yes they are very powerful, but I don't that they are the reasons why bitcoin is strong. Bitcoin is decentralized, so anyone can join, any countries, any powerful entities and even like the majority of us here, average joe will make bitcoin strong.
