261  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is the current bitcoin bull run confirmed now ? on: March 31, 2024, 11:44:35 PM
This is just the preparation for the halving event, believe it or not but the actual bull run is yet to come after the halving event, the recent event of bitcoin reaching its new ATH is because many factors and one of them is because of the approval of ETF and because of that it became easy for many people to access and buy bitcoin assets and as many people are becoming more aware and getting hyped by bitcoin many more attracted to invest and hold bitcoin assets, that's one of the reason and I think big company or industry has also contribution to the increase of price of bitcoin as of course they will take advantage of the easy buy of bitcoin and will hoard bitcoin as much as they can, we still not sure what will happen to the bitcoin after the halving event but if the theory or prediction is true and accurate then the price of bitcoin might be doubled.
262  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: what sort of features would you want in a trading bot? on: March 31, 2024, 10:49:44 PM
Just asking because I have been developing my trading bot for awhile, I have been successful with it but I'm hoping to learn what you guys are looking for so I will be able to plan what I can do to improve mine and convince you to use it as well.
I think you already has it but if I will suggest a feature in your trading bot maybe a feature where in the bot can be used in crypt currency trading and also in forex trading, I'm more on crypto trading but I also want to try in forex trading but I know forex is more complex and as I have initial experience with it, forex is very hard, so I want to have either a trading bit that could do trade on both crypto and forex , if you can develop such trading bot then you can market your bot in a wider population or wider crowd as you can attract customer in both trading platform or trading kind, and imagine if you do that then you really are a great developer then, it will not be easy but yeah just suggesting its up to you if you will take it as a challenge or just ignore this suggestion.
263  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Amazing Vintage Slot Machines on: March 31, 2024, 10:17:52 PM
This morning as usual I opened Twitter and found a video of a Vintage Slot Machine that was still working fine.
So amazing when seeing how the mechanism shown in the Vintage slot machine.

This is the work of an amazing machine engineer, who can create such an intricate slot machine.
If Online casinos are now using software to program Slot Machines and there may be some manipulation being done, then what about Vintage slot machines like this?
Whether this Vintage slot machine can also be set to the wishes of the owner, or this will only depend on how lucky we are.

But having one Vintage Slot machine like this will save me to play slots,
because you don't need to spend any more money and do as much as you like to play it.

Probability, a slot machine, or this kind of gambling game that relies on probability—yes, you need luck in order to be in the probability of winning—but do mind that winning in a slot machine relies on probability. Yes, you need luck in order to have a high probability of winning, but do keep in mind that winning in a slot machine is not easy, but it is fun and addictive. Well, it's because of how interesting it is and how calm and relaxed you can be. But yeah, this kind of machine has a probability mechanism where there's a certain play or spin you could do before the winning match could align, and believe me, it will take a lot of tries or attempts in order to attain that probability. In terms of online slot machines, I don't play that because it is also based on probability, as the programme may be doing random patterns, but I still can't stop thinking that it can be programmemed to show the winning pattern less than it should be. Of course, who's businessman will make a gambling game online that a player could win easily, right?.
264  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Claw Machines: a category of gambling? on: March 31, 2024, 10:00:17 PM
Yes, if only the one you will get is also money, I mean when the prize inside the claw machine is also money, then I consider it gambling, because you will use money in order to play and also will get money when you grab something. But the thing is, a claw machine is a difficult game or machine. Even if you are skilled, you can't do anything if the machine is rigged or the machine has certain conditions or a certain number of attempts, like a probability, but I doubt a claw machine with money in the prize will let the players get or grab the prize easily. Anyway, if this claw machine with money in price becomes famous, then most likely it will only be played in physical casinos and not online because, for sure, gamblers will not play the online or virtual version of the claw machine as it can be suspicious or cannot be trusted.
265  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Biden resurrects 30% crypto mining tax in new budget proposal on: March 31, 2024, 12:17:51 PM
This wouldn’t be the same if they used some form of solar energy, I assume. But I also understand that these computers use a lot of energy, but why not gradually migrate to solar energy where you don’t have to answer to anyone and you don’t have to be careful of how much electricity you consume? I don’t know if it’s been discussed before as a solution?
I appreciate the idea. Truly,  solar energy can be an alternative to electricity, but do keep in mind that solar energy equipment or set-up is not a cheap one, or it's also expensive equipment and also the cost of setting it up. But yeah, it is worth it in the long run as you can use it for too long. But the question is, does solar energy match the performance or endurance of electricity? We know how much electricity a mining setup or rig can cost, so it is also very hard to rely entirely on solar energy, maybe just as a supplementary, but that doesn't solve the idea of putting a tax on miners or miners who're using electricity in their mining rig. But I still wonder why they will put taxes on miners while they are already paying electricity bills, but we can't argue with that; we would rather obey than be illegal, right?.
266  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Good or Bad - Blackrock Buying BTC on: March 31, 2024, 06:08:49 AM
So right now it seems the corporations want all of BTC. With Blackrock buying lots and lots of BTC. I consider this a catch 22 and a mix of good and bad.
What are your thoughts on this?

Sure for anyone who hodls  BTC and Blackrock buying more, value goes up. so it works for people already holding BTC.
Yet it makes it harder for others not in the market yet to buy more amounts , they will have to consider buying less now if on a budget.

Is this a case of too much too soon? or do you think Blackrock a good thing? thoughts?
I have mixed feelings as well but I think we should try to look at the bright side of this: having big funds like BlackRock etc on bitcoin's side instead of against, is going to reassure many people that bitcoin is actually something legit and not a scam. It could accelerate bitcoin's adoption. Of course I know that people who are buying the ETFs are (probably) not going to buy and use the actual bitcoins but this is all free advertisement at the end.
Yes, we should look on the bright side because even if we disagree, we have no way to stop BlackRock or the big funds from buying bitcoin. And the fact that we always look at the negative side only makes us disadvantaged and does not bring us any benefits.

I also thought that when ETFs was approved, large funds would hold the majority of bitcoin and this would make bitcoin more centralized and easier to manipulate. But I know there's nothing else I can do to stop it, so I'll look on the bright side and use it as motivation to push bitcoin prices higher. I will take advantage of that to make bigger profits instead of trying to fight back desperately.
Yeah, have a point. Definitely, if big corporations hoard more bitcoin, its price will also increase as the demand goes up, but also, when there's a bright side, there will also be a shadow part or a bad part. For example, if blackrock really wants to buy all bitcoin, other investors will also not have a chance to buy their own, and if one company holds the majority of bitcoin, really wants to buy all bitcoin, other investors will also not have a chance to buy their own, and if one company holds the majority of bitcoin, really wants to buy all bitcoin, other investors will also not have a chance to buy their own, and if one company holds the majority of bitcoin, really wants to buy all bitcoin, other investors will also not have a chance to buy their own, and if one company holds the majority of bitcoin, if they decide to sell all their assets or just some assets, we will see a very big dip or movement in the market. But anyway, we will see what will happen in the market. As you've said, we can't stop them if they decide to hoard bitcoin. Crypto currency is a freedom, so we can't control or stop them. All we can do is also take advantage of that movement.

👆👆
Do any of you remember five months ago I started trading with just $100 and today I own $1130 and I respect Bitcoin a lot and it is slowly brightening my future and I have gained a lot of knowledge from Bitcoin in these five years and  With this I want to earn more money in my future and I want to say to all you all can buy bitcoin and hold it and you will have a very bright life in your future you are too bad my friend earned a lot of money in 5 months but today he lost a lot of money in 2 months  Because he got addicted to gambling and I buy and hold bitcoins and slowly trade to own $1130 today Bitcoin is really brightening my future.

We never get addicted to anything and try to do whatever we do with our talent then we will get success in no time.💪

Exactly! That's the key to bitcoin success or to earn, slowly but surely. Many new investors are being inpatient in their investment in bitcoin and wanting to see a profit right away and expecting to earn a lot in their early investment, but that's the case there. Your OP is one example of efficiently earning in bitcoin just by holding it or trading some with slowly and surely. In trade, it doesn't matter how small or big your profit will be; the important thing is that you are earning and not losing money. But if you can't trade efficiently, then it's better to do holdings, which is safer and easier to do, but of course should be done with caution or with care.

Holding is the key for an investor to earn in bitcoin. It may take a long time or long term, but it doesn't matter as long as you can earn or you will have an assurance that you will earn, and it has been proven multiple times in bitcoin.
268  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What are your thoughts on the market right now? on: March 31, 2024, 02:42:24 AM
I want to stock up on alts for the spot now. What do you think, should I buy now or should I wait?
If you have altcoins in mind and you're confident about those altcoins, then maybe you can enter now, but still, it will depend on what your views are in their markets, because truly now altcoins are also moving in a good way because of the movement of the mother coin, which is bitcoin, but still, there is a risk as it is an altcoin. Maybe you could do DCA in those coins just to be sure and not put all your funds in one coin and one buy only.

Also, focus only on a few or just two altcoins; it's hard to maintain or monitor if you enter in many coins; it will divide your attention, and maybe you will lose track of some of your coins. It's better to handle a few coins than too many; fewer means you can focus on those coins and maximize the potential profit that you will need.
269  Other / Off-topic / Re: Can family members help a gambling addict? on: March 31, 2024, 02:27:33 AM
The family and friends will be the strong support system of an addicted gambler, so yes it will be a great help for the gambler if his family is aware that he is going through a rough time in his life. Furthermore, it’s also vital for a gambler to admit first his addiction so that he will be able to receive help from his family and friends, otherwise, those genuine advices will end up useless because the gambler itself refused to accept it and apply it on himself.

Medical help from a medical practitioner is also crucial. Although the support form his own family can go a long way, but at the end of the day, the therapy session is what an addicted gambler can heal his addiction the most.

Let us put it this way, the family's support is also vital in this process of rehabilitation. The gambling addict should have at least someone to rely on if things go tough on him. That no matter what, he knows somebody that someone is taking care of his welfare. Because like it or not, there would be times of lapses, and he needs to stop before he goes back to his old ways.

But let's also see the truth, or some sad reality, that some families are not open to this kind of topic, especially gambling, so for sure some of the families are not supporting their family members who are experiencing addiction; they even outcast that member. That's why it can also add to the stress and mental state of the addict. That's why I also want to have advocates who say that families should be able to support their family members at any cost when they are experiencing gambling addiction. In that way, they will be more open and support those family members in need. But truly, family support could be really helpful for those addicts; they will feel the support, and it will add to their desire to change even more and stop their addiction. I had known many people addicted to gambling who didn't receive family treatment; that's why they kept on playing just to relieve their sadness.
270  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How can we help beginners not to get addicted on: March 30, 2024, 11:51:00 PM

I think if gambling companies can help to giving beginners to understand gambling and addiction it will help and reduce the rate at which people get addicted o gambling, I mean good lesson for people to get understanding.  Or do gambling companies benefit from gamblers who are addicted, which the awareness of getting addicted can affect their business?.

Some casinos have a page dedicated on how gambling works and they have a warning to their players about addiction, its up to the casino players if they are going to heed those advice or ignore them.

When it comes to casinos the rule is to each is each own, you have to take care and watch for yourself, the casino is a profit generating company and you are the target to be their cash cow, so its up to you if you let them become their cash cow.
And as we know this kind of notice or warning is not working or being ignored by those newbies in gambling, in their mind they want to either experience gambling or they are hoping to win in gambling, to earn which is not a very good impression to gambling, because we know how gambling works, you will lose more than what you can earn and even you have earned from it for sure you will use it for gambling again which is in the end you will not have anything, only losses, that's why its important for those new gamblers to mind their own character, if they can get addicted easily then gambling is not for them, gambling should not be played at the first place, gambling is one thing that a weak hearted or easily swayed by their emotion to avoided, or else they will learn the hard truth of gambling.
271  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What nature of the the rewarding games would you prefer playing with friends on: March 30, 2024, 12:18:03 PM
As long as the punishment is not too harsh, I think that playing with friends can be very entertaining because it creates a shared feeling which is not very common when you play, usually alone.

Just make sure that the terms are clear, everyone accepts them on beforehand, and not engage with those of your friends who like to make excuses the most, because it can be very frustrating to face the risk of the game and see, after winning it, that the other party is not willing to keep his/her end of the deal.
Exactly. I think the way of the game—how  the winner will be rewarded or howthe loser will be punished—doesn't matter as long as you have the bond and the fun. Any group of friends will enjoy the gambling in the sense that they are playing together. Like what I experienced, I always love to play gambling with my friends. Sometimes we will not use a betting app; instead, we will only give a pot of money where we will stake a certain amount. Those winners will get the pot money and it will be shared with the loser, who of course doesn't get anything. So I think it's better if those betting apps have only a session or if a certain group could do betting separate from the general so that their price money will only be in a closed group. But maybe there is a better reward system that could be liked by a certain group.
272  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is playing poker online better than offline? on: March 30, 2024, 02:12:29 AM
Well, I will still choose to play online poker or any online gambling, its because I started gambling using online casinos so I don't know the feeling or feel of offline or physical casino, it may be a good experience but with my current situation I don't have the time and luxury to go to a physical casino, but of course I'm open to playing in a physical casino in some other time, but for now I choose online casino, aside from its hassle free you can play anytime and anywhere you want, also poker is one of my favorite card casino games, I think card games casino are more efficient because your winnings will depend on your decision and way of thinking, just as you've said in physical casino or poker they could cheat or manipulate the result while in online you can't possibly cheat or the casino itself can't trick you, so Yeah I'm more on online casino than physical one.
273  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does prediction in sport work for you? on: March 29, 2024, 11:57:03 PM
No, I don't rely on the predictions of other websites, I mostly rely on my own predictions as I only bet in a spprts that zi fakiliar with, for example Im a fan of NBA and I mostly bet on NBA only, and because I like watching NBA I also very familiar with the team and players, So I have my own idea or analysis which is who is going to win when there's a match will happen, maybe I take the predictions of others as referrence only or to have second opinion or prediction, but I will still follow my own prediction in the match, so yeah I didn't use or know any other prediction website aside those news or predictions ny experts in sports analysis. So I recommend to bet on the sports your are known of and dont just bet because you want to earn money from betting.
274  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Wait for the right set-up on: March 29, 2024, 10:56:53 AM
But waiting for the right set-up gives you an edge in the market, when you trade only when you sees an opportunity, you will mostly comes out profitable, as long as you knows the craft a little, but probing the market every now and then will only make you lose money, because trading is more of patience and knowledge.
You know it is easy to say wait for a good trade set up. Where the work is in being patient and it is the patience that beginners often lack. A friend went from taking a trading course to doing 5 live trades and guess what, he lost. Successful traders will only take one to three trades each day and they could even do less. I think that some trades are just not necessary, they just waste the trader's time which should have just been spent either doing nothing or engaging in some hobbies. Waiting for a good trade set is simply waiting or the right trading opportunities.
Exactly, not all experienced or expert traders earn always in their trades sometimes they trade but also experiencing great loss or lose trades, and believe me traders are more on long term trading and not relying on short term trades because they know how much profit they can get from long term and they are more on maximizing the potential profit than getting small profit from short trades because they will only waste effort and time there, I also more on long term or to be specific day trading because I have a stable job so I cannot monitor my trade 24/7 so I let the market decide or my analysis decide wether I will earn or not, but of course I still look to my open trades sometimes but not monitoring it to the point that I may neglect my analysis and exit it right away, so I more on having faith or staying on what trade I open no matter what happens.
275  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Just because some meme coin or other low Cap coin listed don't mean it's over on: March 29, 2024, 08:58:08 AM
Anyways don't be surprised specially If some meme coins will do even after listed on exchangers 100x-1000x gains.
The reason for this is because these currencies reserve an amount of supply before listing, and with increased demand and limited supply, the price explodes after listing, but then a large amount of this supply is released for sale, and then the matter ends with a meme coin whose price rises to around $1, and then the price returns to 0.000001 .
If the main developers do not believe in the project and sell as soon as it is listed, what makes you believe that it is a project worth investing in?
We must also consider price manipulation here, especially whales and if they want to make more money, they can easily manipulate it and new people coming in will pay the price.
As you can see, as meme coins become more hype, people are risking too much just like gambling. High risk high reward.
There are already lot of memecoins being rugged everyday.

Right now, that is a bit worrying and scary because, of course, the scammers see that many communities are a bit obsessed with investing in meme coins because of those who have recently become successful in the market using the Solana blockchain network. And one of them is what happened to BOME, which quickly got listed on the top exchanges.

Something that has made the community investors more aggressive is that they think that the majority of meme coins will increase the price value in the market, which means that scammers can take advantage of this opportunity.
But right now meme coins or shitcoins are becoming more famous or popular in the investors because many investors on crypto started to notice that if they will invest in meme coins or altcoins in early stage they can ride the bull run or skyrocket of the price of that certain crypto currency, but of course not all coins are trusted there are still coins that is meant for scamming investors by pulling out all the funds in the coin that will result to dropping of the currency, right now I also hunting those new coins in crypto space by airdrops and when they launch it I can trade those new coins and of course earn quite good amount of money or profit. So in short its okay to invest in those coins you just need to see what coin is trusted and reliable and have a potential of earning.
276  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Going all in and losing the bet on: March 29, 2024, 06:40:32 AM
That's why it's not recommended and advisable to go all in unless you are very sure of your bet. But in reality, many gamblers are going all in in their bets or gambling games without the clear vision or hint that they will win; they most likely just let destiny choose whether they win or lose. I also do all in sometimes, but if I only have a little hint or am confident with my bet or my choice, Remember, if you will go all in, you should be ready for the consequences of whatever happens, whether you lose or win, but do keep in mind that with all in, you are also raising the risk. I mean, raising the risk is too much risk. That's why it's better to bet or play gambling with a small amount than pouring all your funds into one bet that has a 50% win or loss.
277  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Have you been kicked out of a casino? on: March 28, 2024, 11:56:10 PM
No, because zi haven't tried physical casino in my life, I started gambling only online  and even in online gambling I haven't experience the OP mentioned, its because I'm civil or always follow the rules and regulations of the casino and I don't let myself to do anything else that will make me look bad or do bad in something, but I'm open to playing in physical casino but of course I will never let myself to be punished or do something that will make me punished by the crypto casino, what will happen to you right? If you happened to be banned or punished by the casino? Of course it will affect your personality and it will make it difficult for you to find another physical casino even though there are a lot of existing physical casino out there, the worst is you will be black listed in many casinos.
278  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The power of HODLing BTC on: March 28, 2024, 11:30:56 AM
As someone who is actually new to the crypto industry, especially as a bitcoin hodler, I feel honored to be able to see an example of the results of patience as a true hodler who ultimately achieved true profits from the results of his patience in holding bitcoin for 14 years. Now I'm starting to ask myself if I will be able to hold onto the bitcoins I own for the next 14 years. I might have to try to do it. And seeing this actually gave me a new enthusiasm to keep accumulating. Hope everyone is motivated to see this.
I think you could do it as long as you have the dedication to do so. I know it's very hard to fight the temptation of selling your assets or some of your assets when the price of bitcoin is in a good movement or the price itself, especially during a bull run. It can't be helped, but in my experience over the years, I still manage to have bitcoin holdings, meaning I sometimes sell some of my bitcoin assets, especially during a bull run. The reason is valid because I have to buy something that I need or something that I want, but I'm making sure that I will still do DCA in order to have more assets to hold on. It's like I have a cycle on how I will invest in bitcoin. I know you can do it. Keep on holding your assets and fight the temptation and urge to sell all your assets.
279  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How about your experience in taking part in the same bet with friends? on: March 28, 2024, 11:21:42 AM

Gambling with friends is at least better since there is human interaction in between unlike when you are just betting on the online casino. There's talking around and laughing which lessens the stress, this is how gambling should be. Before the internet, this is how it was done with friends in the neighborhood.

Although I always wanted to get back to that time when we were still gathering every weekend, it's hard to find time anymore when people are busy. At the ned of the game, the money anyway is spent on beers.
Agreed, gambling really is fun when you are playing with your friends or colleagues, but the thing is, you still can lose something although you are having fun with your friends. I also enjoy playing gambling with others, I mean friends, because you can get the bonding you want and you will not feel the idea of losing money just to have fun, but is it really worth it? Yes, of course, but if not or you're playing alone, you will feel the frustration and stress while playing, but I also will not recommend that you always play with your friend because the idea is that you will still always lose money, and even if you are having fun, it will still have a bad impact on your financial state, so maybe just balance all things out. It's not bad to play with friends, but also consider your finances because maybe if you are having too much fun, you will not notice the impact of it.
280  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does gambling excites you ? on: March 28, 2024, 06:29:37 AM
Yes, gambling still excites me in the sense that every time I start a session in gambling, I am always excited at first, but of course we know whatthe outcome will be eventually, and eventually we might feel frustrated or angry because of frequent losses that, of course, will affect us so much. I know we all become excited about gambling, but it will be different if your objective in gambling is to earn. No gambler will be excited or having fun if his objective is to have money or winnings, because that is less likely to happen to us gamblers. So if you are still feeling excited about gambling, then you are enjoying playing it, not only for earning money or winnings. I have known many gamblers who are not having fun or excited about gambling anymore; instead, they feel frustrated, even though they are just going to start gambling or their session.
