1121  Economy / Gambling / Re: ⚽️ SPORTBETTING ADVICE ⚽️ on: November 08, 2023, 09:36:19 PM
If sports betting is easy to win because of skill, knowledge and experiences then there will be many sportsbook provider already close their business and many people will be rich by now.

Dont forget that there is an odds for every games so it will be fair for anyone to choose team A or team B.
Its all about the luck, no matter what you do with gambling it will always about your luck.
Sometimes we give or take various tips in betting but in reality if luck doesn't help then no research or strategy will help. Because in some sports we face that impossible become possible at any time. But there is no harm in following some simple rules. Winning and losing are never permanent in sports betting. So no sports book is harmed by any gambler's winnings. A gambler should not expect to earn money from gambling. Since it is uncertain, they will not be harmed by treating it as something that means the source of entertainment.
In the casino games the result depends only from luck. In the sportbetting we can analyze different moments. Of course we can`t predict the result in all matches, but we can get winrate more than 50% and such winrate allow us to get profit with the odds more than 2. The main problem is to find enough information and make a high quality analyze. And some luck will only help us.

Slightly disagree. Even though casino is more about luck, there's still casino games that require skills and thinking, such as card games. Although you need luck to get better cards, like in poker or many more card games, the decision will be yours to make about whether you will push through or use the cards. Also, it's not just luck and skills; casino games also have "propability." For example, in slots, there is a probability to know when you will hit the jackpot, but of course the probability is too low as slots have too many combinations.

But yes, sports betting is more great, or we can say gives a big winrate, as it only has two choices among the teams that will fight. So if you want a safe bet, then consider sports betting, especially for sports fans. For example,  in basketball, the NBA is the most famous sport to bet on.
1122  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trying to find advice and info about selling BTC on: November 08, 2023, 12:46:34 PM
Hello, I am trying to figure out a good reputable place or platforms to look for a buyer/buyers for a very large amount of bitcoin.
Basically, I have a holder of Bitcoin wanting to sell. They have roughly 392,000 BTC, and invested very early and held on to it.
Any advice or recommendations would be very much appreciated.
For the kind of money involved, exchanging crypto to fiat would attract alot of attention to your...

If I were you I would consider exchanging the Bitcoin for a stable coin as this is fiat equivalent and if you are using the dollar currency you don't loss or gain on the exchange rate.

Just out of curiosity, the platform you used to buy these Bitcoins don't they happen to buyback coins for fiat Roll Eyes

It clearly sounds like a troll or nonsense question. I don't want to judge or anything; it's just that I don't think that having that many bitcoin holdings means you never once thought to sell some, and if you do, then you must have known some platforms to trust for exchanging your bitcoin for fiat. I don't know; I don't really want to judge; it's just too good to be true, and because your account is a newbie, we can't help but think that this question is nonsense. Anyway, I guess some have already shared their answers to your question. Just to add, if you want a trusted and legitimate one, use Binance. That's it; it's well known and has a lot of users. The thing is, you should be careful when transferring your funds. I still can't believe how much bitcoin you hold. May you be one of the whales? Hahaha joking.
1123  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Mistakes to watch out for on: November 08, 2023, 11:07:38 AM
You can agree with me that some mistakes are inevitable, especially when you're not aware of something related to occur, they comes in as a result of what we do, we can try out our best in making sure that we deal with this by taking it to the minimal level, because some may actually cost us than we expect, but when we know what we are doing, we will always ensure we avoid having any kinds due to our own carelessness in what we do.
I totally agree with this. For example, there are trades that do not go to your analysis and chart mapping. Why? As we know, the market is unpredictable. Even if we make a good trade, there's still a margin to lose. So what I mean is the sudden movement of the price, or, as we can say, movement that is caused by an unknown occurrence or, most commonly, market manipulation. As we know, big asset holders have the power to manipulate the market price as they hold a lot of coins. Their movement or engagement in the market could have an impact. I'm talking about what we called "whales." That's why don't be too well assured that you will always take a profit. Sometimes,  even if it's not your fault, losing money in trading is inevitable, so better be prepared in an industry that involves too much risk. It only matters how you cope with the shortcoming of trading.
1124  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What conditions might cause you to stop gambling? on: November 08, 2023, 07:13:23 AM
Well, I set boundaries and limitations for my gambling sessions. If I reach that point, I force myself to stop playing or gambling, but if you are talking about completely quitting gambling, I don't know if I will be able to quit gambling, and if there's a reason, I still don't know.

Maybe if I don't have money anymore? or I feel I'm keeping on losing and suffering from my losses. Like I said, I can limit myself to gambling, so I know when to stop. If I have a family, of course I need to be more responsible, and losing money is not an option anymore, even for entertainment. But as long as I don't have a family, I guess I will keep on gambling, but with discipline, it's hard for a person to know what will make them quit gambling unless it's too heavy, like being in too much debt, etc. But we know there is a certain point to that.
1125  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: For Newbies Interested in Gambling on: November 07, 2023, 10:22:36 PM
Being patient and consistently involved in healthy gambling habits will surely make you a successful gambler. If you are newbie who is interested in gambling and has been following the gambling community here or any where online or offline, your purpose should be to learn as much as possible from the shared experiences of others such that you can eventually branch out independently, allowing you to operate without dependence on others.

Note that the most important thing in gambling is bankroll management and finding value. What messes people up is poor bankroll management.  Personally, I limit my bets to no more than 10 percent of my bankroll per day, I stop once that limit is reached.  Also don't get discouraged if variance comes in and you have a losing day, week, month, etc. Value is value and it will catch up.  Goodluck on your gambling journey.

Gambling oldies can throw in their 2 sats on this.
There's no "successful" gambler, there's only a not addicted gambler. Well if you consider that a success then I guess that works. I think just the management of your money is more than enough to stay on the right path. Most addicts often turn into one because of failure to manage their frequency and expenses when gambling. Beyond that though, I don't think what you feel matters much, just enjoy the game and process and don't mind the money involved. Adding into consideration money most of the time when playing can be rather frustrating after all.

I slightly disagree that there's no successful gambler, just because we have lotto winners or gamblers who luckily hit a big jackpot, and that is the reason for their success. Yes, they are few; we can't say that many will be like them, but still, there is a possibility, but of course it's low. Not all gamblers can hope to be successful by doing gambling. I agree with you that gambling is supposed to be played with enjoyment and for fun, but because people's nature is to hope for more money, they take gambling seriously, which ends up being bad.

So newbies out there wanting to enter gambling, make sure you can take the consequences of what will happen to you, you are ready for your own action, and of course, make sure to have discipline and self-control, because if not, you will only end up like the other gamblers who throw everything away because of addiction's.
1126  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How do you cope with those around you not believing in you for choosing Bitcoin? on: November 07, 2023, 09:36:35 PM
Well, first of all, they don't know I do bitcoin stuff, like I don't brag or mention it anyway unless they ask me personally about bitcoin directly, but for other people around me, they don't know about what I do because I don't post on social media or share my achievements in bitcoin, because what's the point? If I know that there are people out there who will question why I do bitcoin and stuff,

Also, I don't want to explain to anyone who gets interested in bitcoin just because they see me earning from it; it is an annoying thing, so I'd rather stay quiet and do my things. If, for instance, they know I do bitcoin or crypto stuff and I receive feedback about why I do these things, then I don't give a single care about their opinion or feedback; I do my own thing and do their own things. That's it.
1127  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to invest 8k for passive income. on: November 07, 2023, 10:42:17 AM
Passive income? Dude, there is no way to have a passive income that involves bitcoin unless you will let other trades trade your capital; that's some way to earn using passive income. But you can actually buy and "buy" bitcoin by staking or holding, but it still requires you to buy bitcoin by holding, and in staking, you need a portion of your bitcoin to be staked; you just need to find a legitimate platform that offers those services.

Oh, you can also do bitcoin mining. You could use your funds to buy mining kits, such as graphic cards and PC components. In summary, you still need to buy something to have a passive income. I personally do the three passive incomes I've mentioned because I get to earn while I'm just letting my assets sit on a platform, especially trading, which is my side hustle. anyway its up to you want passive income you will choose.
1128  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Do Not Lose Everything Youve Gained in One day, or One Trade on: November 07, 2023, 07:39:34 AM
The worst mistake one can make as a trader is chasing the market to recover losses, If you lose a trade, learn from it and take it as your fault.
It's called revenge trading. I've yet to see anyone who chases the market to recover their losses and does it successfully. One may be lucky with a few wins chasing the market but ultimately one will lose out at the end if one makes it a way of trading. It's better to let the loss go and then crosscheck to find out why one lost for future trades. Unfortunately, many of us don't learn this from others mistakes until it happens to us. Just like you, I've also been a victim of this. Also just like many others reading this now, they won't take precaution of this until they experience it firsthand.

Well, we can't blame others for chasing losses. As you said, you've experienced it, and I also experienced that situation. We know the feeling of losing a trade, and we know how much we want to recover the loss immediately. I've done it numerous times, and most of them end up losing more. Even now, with my long experience in trading, I often do that, but of course with minimal damage, or often I recover what I've lost. Sometimes I do a minimal lose trade, which means I trade again after the loss trade, not aiming to recover the loss completely but only to earn some, so it's not that hurt. Sometimes I'll let it go if what I've lost is not too much or if I stake a smaller amount. and I have the discipline or principle that "profit is profit," no matter how big or small it is. As long as I earn, that's enough for me. That's why I don't set a goal because I don't want to have something that I want to chase.
1129  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are You Tax Efficient With Your Gambling Habbits? on: November 07, 2023, 06:02:14 AM
Paying taxes is the business owner's responsibility, or the business itself is the one that will do the taxes. But I don't think that requiring a gambler to pay tax whenever they play is a good idea. Supposing gambling or playing in a casino is tax-free, and also withdrawing the earned money is tax-free. If, for instance, taxes are also implemented in both online and physical casinos, then I'm sure a lot of gamblers will protest and won't agree about that. The government's in charge of collecting taxes, and I think they can only require the business, not the gamblers, as they are only the customers.

But if, for instance, it is forced to be implemented, we can't do anything about that; just make sure that they will not add and add the tax over time because we know how the economy works right now; goods are increasing in price because of the tax.
1130  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Fund for Bitcoin promotion on: November 07, 2023, 04:53:43 AM
I don't think that there's a need to have groups or fund a group to promote and spread anything about bitcoin, simply because bitcoin is largely known in the world, especially on the internet. And as bitcoin sticks to the word "blockchain," meaning blockchain is an advanced technology and well known, we know that if we talk about blockchain, people will know it immediately.

And even if there are groups that promote bitcoin, many people will still not pay attention to it, especially those who are not into internet things. As we know, bitcoin is a complex technology, and even if it's an opportunity to make a profit, some people can't understand the concept of it. Yes, promoting bitcoin will be a good idea, but we can't force the crowd to know and be involved in this industry. Bitcoin is well known around the world, so there's no need to do more promotions.
1131  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do You Believe That Reading People's Bad Experience Will Help You on: November 07, 2023, 02:26:01 AM
There's always a says that said "do not wait for what happened to others to happen to you before you start leaning". Meaning you have to learn from what happened to others in order for you not to fall prey any time when such is approaching to you, hence with the experience of other people you can control your habits from what has happened to other people. Any responsible and learned gambler doesn't always want to gamble to get addicted for people around to start noticing they are addictive gamblers.

It would be impactful to some, but for other gamblers, it will just be a story that they listen to. I don't think reading something about what happens to gamblers who get addicted, their bad experiences in life, and what gambling causes them could really help. Especially for those who don't give a damn care about others', you see, being addicted to something is a person's personal choice and decision, and using awareness like what the government used in cigarette packs would have an effect if implemented in gambling. As what is used in cigarette packs is not so effective, there are still a lot of people addicted to smoking. Does that stop them or limit them? No! addiction, and the only cure for that is either rehabilitation or a situation where it's like an end game for them. So I'm sure using the same strategy used in cigarrette will help at all.
1132  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Can this be possible? on: November 06, 2023, 11:47:12 PM
No, of course not. Haha, your reading too much speculation; it is clearly a glitch or bug in whatever site that was, and if you only see that image, then someone manipulates the image. If there are time travellers or such, they are millionaires now. It's ridiculous that someone actually believes that kind of story about time travellers or such. Anyway, it can't be helped; some websites could experience a bug or glitch.

And also, it can't be helped that some will manipulate an image; it is easy to do that these days. So maybe someone just trolled and edited the image because, based on the lines in the picture, it is impossible to be created with a glitch or bug, so the most likely cause of why it looks like that is that someone edited it. Don't believe in anything you see on the internet; now a days it is easy to manipulate and edit something.
1133  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Im short trader Im new here but been long time in trading on: November 06, 2023, 11:12:34 PM
I don't know, but the way you share your formula as a way of inviting people, maybe your real objective here is to attract members to your so-called private group. I get it. You shared your formula, and what? It sounds like you are not helping others by sharing your formula for trafing; it looks like you are pursuing people to join you. It's not bad, but it just contradicts your intention for this post.

Anyway, I also know that trick; in fact, it is common knowledge for every experienced trader, but if you discover it by yourself, then it's good because you've gained a way to professionally earn in crypto trading. There is nothing wrong with short trading; it just doesn't go smoothly sometimes, or you are not utilising the potential for big profits. But of course, it's up to the trader how he will trade to earn; as long as it helps you earn, then it's good.
1134  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Advice for new comers on: November 06, 2023, 10:16:39 PM
The most important advice is that if you don't want to lose money, then stop or don't start playing crypto gambling at all, because whatever you do, no matter what techniques, skills, or luck, losing money in gambling is inevitable. And if your purpose in playing gambling is to earn money or if you rely on gambling to have money, then stop also. Gambling is gambling; no matter what you do, you will lose some money.

But if your purpose is to have fun and entertainment, then go play gambling, and if you really want to do crypto gambling, then we can't stop you. It's just a warning; learn to control yourself and discipline because without that, you could get the most common problem of a gambler, "addiction," and I know you know what it will cost you if you fall into that situation. So if you still continue, then gamble moderately; as they said, gamble only the money you can afford to lose.
1135  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Crypto or Forex? on: November 06, 2023, 01:54:57 PM
There is not much of a difference between the two, Forex gave birth to cryptocurrency in terms of its idea, both can be profitable and you can lose as well, however, it depends on the one you find more profitable trading, you can engage in both just that when it comes to trading cryptocurrency, spot trading makes it more convenient to trade and invest cryptocurrency, in the sense that you can own the asset.

Forex gave to what? crypto currency concept? I disagree with you about that; trade is being done and used even in the past, or old times. The form of bargaining, or such, forex and crypto currency trading are totally different; they are similar to the concept of "trading". Forex and crypto currency trading take on the idea of "trading". So how can you say forex gave birth to the idea of crypto currency if forex itself only takes the form of trading from what we are doing every day?

Forex and crypto trading are both good in terms of earning; it just depends on how efficiently you trade. The profit will depend on the skills and experience of the traders, but for me, I'm more into crypto. I do both; it's just that I'm more into crypto as I'm more expert and familiar with that field. To wrap it up, I don't judge by what you've said; it's just that you got the wrong idea of what forex and crypto currency are.
1136  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Solves This - Money and Banking on: November 06, 2023, 01:08:19 PM
In the creation of Bitcoin, and its emergence and popularity, Bitcoin solves the problem of the unbanked.  That is the major thing that I observed.  Previously unbanked are unable to participate in global economic activity since most of international money transfers needed banks or centralized financial services to process, the unbanked had been outcasted on these activities but with Bitcoin, they are then given the opportunity to participate in global trades and other international economic activities.

But I want to ask you one thing, if you don't have a bank account then how can you buy bitcoin? That is the crux of the matter and is equally important. Besides using bitcoin for investment, what can we use bitcoin for to help us participate in global economic activities? Or you use bitcoin to transfer money across borders but then if you don't have a bank account, how can you convert bitcoin into fiat so you can spend it? As long as bitcoin is not recognized as a currency, it is difficult to completely replace the role of banks and fiat currencies.
Yes, I agree with you. Even though bitcoin is a powerful currency and has a lot of advantages and opportunities, it still can't demolish the banking system in the world or the fiat system. I'm not against bitcoin; in fact, I'm into it as it gives me a lot of opportunities, and I know how big the potential of bitcoin is. But you are right, as long as bitcoin is not being released into the main stream or isn't publicly recognised by many people, we can't replace banking and fiat, as banking and fiat play a huge role in the economies of the world and a certain country. And also, crypto or bitcoin cannot be controlled by anyone, so it's more likely hard to implement it as we will need to make a lot of adjustments, and of course, with this complex technology, bitcoin still has a long way to go, but I look forward to that.
1137  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sports betting online courses? on: November 06, 2023, 12:24:06 PM
I just came across another topic about how to start betting on sports, and as I was reading and researching, I came across something that suggests considering taking online courses on sports betting, aside from reading books that provide in-depth knowledge and strategies to improve betting skills. Is it true that such offers are available on the Internet? Are there any free options?

I have tried betting on sports a few times, but I know there's a lot more I need to learn and understand. Has anyone here encountered such courses or have any knowledge about them?

I know I could search for this information, but I'd like to hear your answers or opinions directly. Thank you.

For me this is somehow funny and it's also the first time I have heard of such thing before because I haven't come across such thing, I mean for gambling is something I do because I actually want to feel that winning experience to something I already love. Just imagine someone actually taking lessons on how to play sport betting when you have no idea whatsoever about soccer or any other sport that you can actually predict and gamble on.
And I believe gambling on sports is based on luck so I don't any course that you will read or take part on will actually guarantee you success if you actually get to use the stuffs you have learnt from the course.

Funny right? I mean, we can't judge his intention; maybe he just wants to learn a lot about sports betting and is determined to learn it for the sake of profit, but I don't think there are online courses about sports betting. Okay, let's say this in a simple manner. Sports betting is a game where you place a bet on your chosen sports. Example NBA, basketball, you will bet on a team you think will win, or in a player with different condition like, this player will make this point, something like that. So, do you think it requires online courses? No!!! You just need to have a common knowledge about the sports or the players. It will be more advantageous if you have a particular sport of which you are a fan, like NBA basketball. Then it would be easy for you; you don't need to spend money or waste time to have an online course on something that is impossible to predict. We can't predict what will be the outcome of a game; sports betting, or rather gambling, depends on luck, probability, technique, and skills.
1138  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Binance is Rolling Out Copy Trading? on: November 06, 2023, 08:22:06 AM
did Binance just announce they're finally jumping on the copy trading feature? I mean, kudos to them for catching up, but seriously? Copy trading wasn't a thing on Binance before this? I genuinely thought Binance had this feature ages ago.

But hey, better late than never, right? Now that Binance is stepping into copy trading, I'm curious: Who was actually the trailblazer in bringing this concept to the spot market?

If we trade our money through Binance there is no possibility of any loss of our money. Binance keeps our money 100% safe. I love this transaction through Binance. I do my own transactions. It is very reliable. I personally think it is nothing but a form of foolishness if I allow someone else to manage any of my own assets. Of course I should always be careful with my own money or wealth. Being reluctant to do so will do nothing but harm to myself. So it is wise to be careful with one's money.

Well, it's a choice if you want to do copy trading, as it is only an additional feature offered by Binance. and I agree with you that some traders don't want to use this feature, maybe because they don't want to trust their money to anyone. But copy trade is a well-known feature for most trading apps, and it is a realible feature, especially for beginners in trading. But of course, you can't just use copy trade recklessly, as you still need to consider things like equity and the funds your account has. For example, your trade will not be forced to close due to too much downtrade; if you have enough equity, then it will not happen. But if you do copy trade and the one you follow raises too much leverage beyond your equity's capability, then it is bad news.

In short, copy trading is a good feature to be added; traders will have more options to earn through Binance.
1139  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Should Casinos Sponsor Sites That Deals With Gambling Addiction on: November 06, 2023, 05:19:20 AM
Casinos doesn’t give a damn regarding the addiction. For them addiction and addicts are like bonuses who spend millions of dollars in their casino. They will do promotions where they have the potential to attract more customers. They won’t do these noble tasks to sponsor Gambling addiction centres or sites. We can’t blame them also to be honest, as we are the ones who needs to control ourselves and gamble responsibly.

On point! Why would the casino have a concern for other people? They are just there to earn; they are just doing their business. If someone gets addicted, it's not their fault at all. And I agree; I don't judge them, but people getting addicted to their platform and gambling recklessly is a bonus to them. That's the sad reality: business is business; they don't have a damn concern for who's playing their platform.

Gamblers are the ones that choose to gamble and play on their platform, so getting addicted is made by themselves as well, so don't give the idea that casino platforms are at fault for this issue. There will be no addicts if they choose not to. I don't like the idea that many people think that casino platforms, either online or offline, are the cause of the addiction, but it's not they who choose that; if they suffer, then let them learn their lesson.
1140  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you guys believe in other people luck and try to copy them? on: November 06, 2023, 01:30:38 AM
As long as you will not blame the one you copied for the bad result, you will see if you are following or copying the bet setup of someone. What if it goes bad? Will you blame that better? Even if you do, it's not their fault; it's you who are copying a bet. And what if you can't copy the bet of someone? Let's say you have limited funds to bet. In short, it's not always a good idea to copy someone's bet; don't rely on them, and don't put your luck into others because we all have our own luck.

But of course this is just a piece of advice, so it's still up to you if you want to keep copying others; if it's beneficial to you, then continue what you are doing; if not, then stop it; you will only put yourself in a bad situation, which of course you choose.
