261  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: The next x10 coins for 2018 on: October 01, 2017, 10:26:59 AM
CRAVE should go up by at least 10x in 2018!   There's only 1.4 Million of them, and most people don't know you can make good passive income with crypto and it's amazing.

You should read this stuff and look seriously into it. Because I think it changes the whole game, in my mind:

The hidden gem is CRAVE!

You can make passive income with Crypto and it's amazing!   I won't go into detail as to how I got here but you should read this stuff and look seriously into it. Because I think it changes the whole game, in my mind.

These two sites are worth a look:

and

https://masternodes.pro/ for an up to date list of coins and ROI information.

There's plenty of low cap coins worth next to nothing at the moment that will let you create more of them without wasting money on gear or power.

I just saw this interesting discussion video about law and smart contracts by aantonop, not sure if you guys have seen it.  Here is the text:

"Reading and writing the word of the law, but judging according to the spirit of the law - how does this apply to code for legal frameworks? We already have plenty of institutions that allow you flexibility to have your problem adjudicated in front of an impartial judge or a jury of your peers.

Law students will leave believing in the spirit of the law and be gradually ground down in the system of prosecution and courts until eventually they don't believe in anything other than winning the case. We are now looking at building systems where the outcome is known based on the formula of a neutral contract. It will not always work, sometimes it will backfire badly and we will have another DAO-saster.

How can law create a safety net? The worst case is that a smart contract fails and then parties in the contract geo-locate each other to sue them in whatever court they choose at the time. New York Convention on Arbitration, an international treaty that allows you to claim independent legal arbitration within a private system of law in 156 countries. Distinguishing between use and abuse of the system with normative judgement. In a system that has no spirit of law, only rule, there is no distinction between use and abuse; if the consensus algorithm allowed it, it is not abuse.

The lesson of TheDAO wasn't "do we fork or not fork?", it was that you don't put $150 million in an untested contract, you idiots! That is a lesson that is self-correcting because people got hurt. The caveat of these new systems is that they are free-market, collaborative, voluntary participation: caveat emptor - "buyer beware."

Is it true that "accounting jobs will be gone in five years because of smart contracts"? The jobs will not be gone, they will be radically transformed. If you don't embrace this new technology, or you fight it, you will find yourself in a smaller and smaller niche that is less important to the rest of the world. Smart contracts are neither "smart," nor "contracts." They are programs which are rather 'dumb.' Decentralisation is a powerful force and we are living the century of decentralisation."

Yes it's pretty distracting, but worthwhile.    I want to share this with you guys - you can make passive income with Crypto and it's amazing!

265  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Traders; what do you look for on: October 01, 2017, 08:17:14 AM
I look for high ROI and undervalued coins and teams in the masternode coin space.  I believe they are worth buying and hodling because of the passive income potential (and most of them are currently greatly undervalued in my opinion)

I personally believe CRAVE, CROWN, SYNX, BSD and PIVX all have big things planned and will do well in future and should make their owners very happy, plus the high ROI reduces the risk of holding them because you can make more during the time you choose to hang on to the collateral.
266  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Choose 5 Altcoins under 100 Sat on: October 01, 2017, 08:12:03 AM

Check out LINDA coin.  It's very cheap (8 sat right now) and has some crazy ROI if you buy enough for a masternode.

Here's some more background  info:

My fave CRAVE is missing from your list  Grin

Any masternodes coins are worth buying and hodling because of the passive income potential (and most of them are currently greatly undervalued in my opinion)

269  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to get fast rich in crypto world? on: October 01, 2017, 07:54:12 AM

You might not get rich fast, but steadily with the passive income potential of masternode based coins (most of them are currently greatly undervalued in my opinion)

270  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are there coins which you can mine with CPU? on: October 01, 2017, 07:51:39 AM

I used to mine BTC a lot back in the day.  Now I've got a garage of dusty mining gear, and have gone all in on Masternode coins.  Beats mining hands down!  No gear to buy, no extra power to pay for.

Here is some background info of what I'm referring to: https://www.investitin.com/masternode/

and a new site that has launched that compares these coins is: https://masternodes.pro/

I use XenServer and host several nodes on a single PC (There's the CPU mining part) and the profit potential is pretty ridiculous if you diversify into a few of these coins and hang on to them.

Hello guys. Can anyone advice me on how to start masternode via debug console? The old masternode start-many doesn't work anymore and when I try to start the node via gui I'm getting Error invalid IP address. Before I could always start via debug and it was fine, but now I can't anymore. Anyone can help me either with the command or tell me whats the possible IP address issue? Thank you

Yes, first unlock your wallet, then run  masternode start-alias "name of node" to start one node by name.

masternode command does not work anymore. I found the solution. you have to use startmasternode missing lockwallet now.

Wow ok, I'm still running v2.3.0 .. Is that new command in v2.3.1 ?   I probably should update if it's that different.

I love how LINDA throws the odd HUGE reward amount into the mix  Grin  I just got a L115K reward in one go.

How does that actually work, is there a lotto like pool of block rewards that someone wins at some point?
276  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Solar powered CPU mining on: September 28, 2017, 10:21:28 PM
Yes it does, my brother in law is running his masternodes with his solar installation.
You don't need solar power to run blaablaanode. MOST of the time you only need static ip.

I know, but I want to have solar power backup for my home data center .. My blaablaanode's have paid for it Grin
277  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Solar powered CPU mining on: September 28, 2017, 09:44:46 PM
masternodeblaablaablaa

True, as long as you can find that greater fool. Solar power has nothing to do with it.

Yes it does, my brother in law is running his masternodes with his solar installation. And I've bought some panels as well which I'll set up this summer.

But whats wrong with masternode coins?  They have this intrinsic value property that other coins don't have.  If you know a better way to increase your crypto supply I'd be keen to try it out.

I use XenServer and host several nodes on a single PC. The cost of running 1 node is about the same as running 50 (yes, maybe one day  Wink ) , and the profit potential is pretty ridiculous if you diversify into a few of these coins.

So with this setup it is definitely possible to  run a solar powered mining op because you might need max 250W to run a reasonably specced PC with lots of RAM.
