261  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is your favorite project these days? on: December 09, 2019, 10:05:42 PM
Despite the commissions my favorite project is Bitcoin because speculating on it gave me the most profit and I still consider him the dad of cryptocurrency. I think in the future nothing will be able to kill bitcoin because a large infrastructure has formed around it.

Straight to the point 👍 , Bitcoin doesn't have any competitor and most altcoin projects which claim to offer more robust architectures and use cases tend to be centralized and over hyped which gets revealed with time. However, I'm still holding a few altcoins which look promising just in case, not really putting high hopes on them to avoid disappointment.
262  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Hide my money from my country 2 on: December 09, 2019, 07:50:27 PM
Hey guys, I never expected to get so much help this fast. So thank you, I considered every one of your suggestions and decided to save both bitcoin and stablecoins for the benefits of each coin with a hard cold wallet.

So now I need a final advise.
1. For my use, do you recommend to use Trezor or Ledger. I know they both good but I just want to make sure. Is there any deal or coupons?

2. As I understood, when using a hard wallet, I won't have to worry about KYC. So in such situation, will you still recommend me to use the DAI coin? or the others that more trusted and reliable like USDC, PAX..

Thanks again.
DAI or USDC are both OK if you are considering to hold stablecoin, I can't say for a fact which is better. For hardware wallet, I've used both Trezor and Ledger, both are cool but I prefer my Ledger nano since it's more convenient to use. I'm not holding any stable coin for long term, most times I trade USDT pairs since it usually has more trading volume compared to other stable coins and that's the only scenario I hold stable coins short term.
263  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Creating A Solution for Adult Media & Product Industry on: December 08, 2019, 09:50:54 PM
I'm yet to see any successful crypto project with project aim to revamp the adult industry (all I've seen are outright scam sorry to say). I've gone through the website and it looks more like the usual adult industry joke projects, I might be wrong anyway. Can I have the link to the messenger app since it has been developed? Also, are there project backings for this project? Seeing the token sale countdown on the website  reminds me of the ICO days. Why not sort for better token sale options if the team is real, go for IEO on a fair exchange for instance or initial model offering. Personally I think blockchain technology cutting across many sectors shouldn't leave out the adult industry, but the previous approaches to this regard have been failures, I hope your xmyra doesn't have a negative motive, the end will tell.
264  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Whats the future of Altcoin on: December 08, 2019, 09:55:55 AM
I realy want to buy altcoin which coin can i buy to hold and make big project in future any idea tell me best profit coin to buy thanks.
I think you are indirectly telling everyone to shill their bags here ☺.  Anyone telling you to buy any altcoin obviously is a holder of that coin, so in my opinion there is no harm in doing your personal research. If you are looking to go long term on any altcoin, I think ETH should be your best bet right now. Note that most altcoins will fail in the long run so be wise when making investment.
265  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is regulation good or bad? on: December 07, 2019, 05:12:57 PM
I agree that the market needs large investors and in order to attract them it is necessary to regulate cryptocurrencies. When the government introduces ways to regulate cryptocurrencies, investors will be protected from fraud and without huge risks will be able to invest in blockchain startups.
Regulations are already creeping in gradually, take for instance the case with Germany which will grant some banks license to deal on crypto as from next year with proper regulations. Talking about big investors, some already have crypto holdings unless probably you mean to attract more big investors. People keep mentioning only the good sides of regulations, it also has its cons. However, all round since we want crypto mainstream adoption to be a reality in future, regulations are necessary to attain this.
266  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Flippening - what are your thoughts? on: December 07, 2019, 03:58:22 AM
ETH marketcap or any other altcoin no matter their development or whatsoever can never beat that of BTC. In as much as everyone is impressed about ETH's upcoming switch to POS, it's not a yardstick to compare with the pace setter (bitcoin). It's funny how people keep comparing these altcoins with bitcoin in terms of marketcap and all that, same way someone claimed XRP will beat BTC. All these things sound weird to me honestly.
267  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why Consider All Altcoins Bad on: December 06, 2019, 08:19:49 PM
Nobody is saying "all altcoins are bad" but majority of altcoin projects are pointless to begin with. Imagine projects sprouting with the same aim, and the previous existing projects sometimes have better vision than new ones. If we are to follow an ideal altcoin system, newer projects ought to be revamped comparatively but that's mostly not the case.   I think there are too many projects sprouting, and most of them are mainly to make the team members rich and nothing more. The few projects with genuine interest get affected since investors are now very skeptical to invest in any altcoin, especially new altcoins. Not all altcoin projects are scam I admit, but to limit risk taking, atlesst 70% of my long term holding is in BTC.

268  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are we all fools on believing the word "HOLD"? on: December 05, 2019, 10:10:42 PM
Haha! There was a time when people made threads Hold is gold, the hold is king blah blah! But hold is a lazy people's job who doesn't want to learn and go forward. Learning trade is the best decision instead of holding many coins. If you can't trade then learn it, achieve it. Hold only Bitcoin and Etherem, sell when you get profit and buy it again when the price goes low because it's crypto, the price will go lower surely.
Very straight to the point 👍, but I don't entirely agree that hold is for lazy people. Sometimes hold is favorable but in very few circumstances. Reason why I like your opinion is because I make more profit from trading than holding, even though nowadays trading is less profitable but I don't always bother much about price decline since I'm always on USDT pairs with a stop loss set. I wish to see the good old days come, when holding was really profitable. I remember making a fortune from holding ADA and XVG which later dumped madly.
269  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which one makes sense on: December 05, 2019, 04:39:51 PM
To run ICO/IEO simultaneously, i think is better. Why hunters are doing the advert, ICO/IEO will be going on the same time. Most investors get to know the project through hunters.
Absolutely true, it's best to run both token sale and bounty simultaneously. For instance, investors still considering to invest in a project doing bounty might come across an article (from a hunter) which explains the project or maybe SWAD analysis, hence giving investors a better insight on the project. If the IEO will be held on top exchanges like Binance, then doing a bounty prior to the IEO won't be a bad idea also.
270  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Scam Projects and Bounty . Way forward?? on: December 04, 2019, 08:00:37 PM
Its hard to dodge scam project sometimes its look very promising. That why im not take a lot of campaigns, for now im only doing signature campaign. Even if you already did mini research you still trapped into fraud projects.
Absolutely true, sometimes after doing research and decide to do the bounty when impressed, the team members might have a negative plan at the end. We just have to be very careful when selecting projects for bounty and also it's good to follow bounty managers with high reputation or projects with very good backings. Sometimes some projects you expect little from pays well at the end, and some with high esteem tend to keep hunters and investors "in the dark". However, in as much as scam projects keep launching, we still have genuine projects with great vision giving us hope and encouragement.
271  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: You think that governments might adopt cryptocurrencies to replace fiat currency on: December 04, 2019, 05:16:09 PM
Currently, in this day and age, all governments around the world have adopted fiat currencies as a means for its citizens to trade with one another and to trade with other nations around the world. However, would it be possible for in the future for governments around the world to create a cryptocurrency as a means of trade to replace fiat currency?

I can see that fiat currency has many flaws as all types of currencies before it, but with the new “government cryptocurrency” would it be able to solve the problems that fiat currency has and make a better economy? I’m not really sure myself as I can’t really predict the future.

Considering that fiat currency replaced all the previous currencies before it, would cryptocurrency replace fiat currency in the future?

FIAT can't be replaced with crypto entirely, both have their relevance. It's true that money has evolved from using cowries to present day FIAT and digital currencies, but it doesn't mean crypto can ever replace FIAT currencies. By the way, for now there is no official "government cryptocurrency" per say, the fact that some are trying to implement their own digital currency doesn't mean it will be cryptocurrency. Well, I'm hoping so see when crypto can be used as normal FIAT currencies.
272  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: A piece of an advice on: December 03, 2019, 09:04:26 PM
Because a coin drops 84% doesn't mean it can't drop another 85%, trailed by one more 81%

DYOR, contribute, hold, take benefit, sell, Do whatever you wanna do however never "indiscriminately hold" since somebody said as much!

Your cash, your duty
Absolutely true, sometimes people buy into a coin because the price dropped so much even without doing a thorough research on the project. What if the price dropped drastically due to exit scam or order to cease operation by the authorities? We should always verify reasons why coin prices drop before we take that as a reason to buy the dips. Nowadays for my trades, I'm OK with 10% profit (setting a tight stop loss in place) , I no longer wait for 50 to 100% and it's been favorable for me. Well, there are a few coins I still hold for long term, this doesn't mean if the price appreciate considerably I won't take profit.
273  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Exchanges Tokens on: December 03, 2019, 07:00:01 PM
Have you had a better look on bnb and study the project well? Some exchange token will die but that wouldn't be inclusive of platform like bnb whose project development is fast growing. Also, this does not only apply to cryptocurrency but every other assets including the traditional market
It's true that BNB and a few other exchange coins/tokens are really impressive, but their success in terms of price is highly dependent on the exchange platform. Imagine shutting down an exchange and automatically it entails it will no longer be base pair on that exchange, this will be detrimental to the said exchange token. However, some exchange tokens are used for other purposes like playing games, paying for vacations, etc and not only limited to their use on the exchange platform.
274  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Just a question on: December 02, 2019, 09:09:42 PM
Can someone pls answer this question? presently the problem of decentralized exchange is liquidity and enough volume, if people start leaving cex for dex will the volume increase ? if Yes then what is stopping people? because dex exchanges is the perfect answer to stolen fund on exchanges and exchange scam exits

Personally, I much prefer centralized exchange because it is a lot easier and I am not really a fan of the complexity of decentralized exchange. And if people start to leave CEX for DEX, I do not think it will necessarily good for the exchange because it can cause conflict to the market with the huge number of transactions it needs to accomplish. There are specific uses for both CEX and DEX so I prefer them both to be used separately to their respective uses.
The reason why theoretically, many will prefer DEX is because of safety. Practically, DEX still have a very long way to go to compete with centralized exchanges, hence we all keep using CEX till decentralized exchanges are revamped. I usually get pissed with the very  slow operation speed on most DEX comparatively. It's true that both CEX and DEX are unique in their own way but following the intent of crypto from onset, we ought to use DEX more but the reverse is the case, reason why DEX have poor trading volume.
275  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: South African Central Bank introduces new crypto regulations on: December 02, 2019, 05:55:17 PM
Taxation? they have no choice if they want to progress in that region, they should be supported by the gov't so in return, they'll regulate it which is going to be in favor of them but the people who are into crypto there will also benefit.

Think of the advantage and just let it happen because you have no choice as they are the gov't that will manage to allow or disallow transactions in their jurisdiction.
This is just the gospel truth, at least they didn't put an outright ban on crypto, meaning they still consider crypto holders. I think the major reason why South Africa is doing that is to protect their own FIAT (RANDS) avoiding uncertainties. However at the end no matter how strict the regulations are, it will also favor crypto enthusiasts, but will favor the government more. We need regulations for start-ups and also exchanges more, not only for bank services.
276  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is your take? on: December 01, 2019, 06:04:27 PM
What is your take on the dwindling of the prices of cryptos? What do you think are the factors behind its fluctuation? What is your percentage (%) backing on crypto investments? How about your investment portfolio, is the return on your investments (ROI) encouraging? What is your advice to crypto investors now?
Let us discuss.
To be candid my return on investment for my long term holdings presently is not so encouraging, even though I still make little profit from short term & mid term trading. I've been holding BTC, ETH, XLM, ICX, NPXS for sometime hoping there will be a market uptrend in future. I still consider crypto to be at early stage even though some years have past, my reason being that we still have a long way to go before adoption worldwide. I will like to encourage crypto enthusiasts especially newbies not to give up considering the dwindling market, but please know when to sell your holdings when in profit. Do not always wait for very huge profit, it's most times pointless.
277  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Scam Projects and Bounty . Way forward?? on: December 01, 2019, 03:35:01 PM
Unfortunately there are quite a few scam projects and scam bounty on the market right now. In order to avoid such scam projects, we need to do a pretty good research at first. In particular, I think we should read the whitepaper and definitely investigate the team members of the project. For bounty campaigns, we should also choose a good bounty manager. I believe it is more beneficial to participate in campaigns organized by positive trusted managers. This ways can help us for be away from scam projects/bounties.
You made a good point when you stated that bounty hunters should do bounties managed by a trusted manager to be on the safe side, it will go a long way even though sometimes the team members still mess with the manager, when the coins/tokens are not escrowed. If I go by your "read the whitepaper" in order to know a project which is not scam, most scam projects are aware of this hence take their time to deliver a very good whitepaper (unlike before that they just plagiarise) in order to lure in investors. In my opinion, do more research on the team behind the project and their product. Check if they are experienced, if they attend crypto events and if they have good project backings.
278  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is this a scam attempt? Or Nothing to panic? on: November 30, 2019, 09:52:53 PM
I have been saying it, most of the hacks we have been experiencing aren't actually outside hack but inside job and been disguise as exchanged been hacked. This new isn't new and won't be the last we'll be hearing such news of CEO running away with traders fund but they only thing you can do is to avoid been a victim by not storing your coins on exchange. Exchange should only be used foe trading and not as wallets. It's a purely a scam attempt.
There are claims that some exchanges cook up their own hacks just to evade tax or for scam reasons. However, I like your point stating we all should only use exchanges for trading, and not as wallet for storing coins (especially for long term). Unfortunately, sometimes you can be victimized no matter how careful you are, a friend who is a pro-trader got affected by this IDAX scandal, he just wanted to trade and withdraw his funds but fell prey in the process.
279  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The Importance of Identifying A Bull Trap And Bear Trap In Cryptocurrency on: November 30, 2019, 02:41:10 PM
Good info, i have been looking for something like this to help on my trading journey, thank this will come in handy, i lose so much money trading because i can't understand when to trade, i heard bull season is the best time to trade
Yes bull season is the best time to trade, but if you are a good trader you don't wait for bull season. Just spend more time understanding technical analysis, also get ideas from pros in the trading game for more insight. Experience with constant learning and trying to improve on trading will go a long way to make you a successful trader even in the bear market. It's not quite difficult to spot a bear trap, and also try as much as possible to take profit when necessary. Sometimes I take as low as 5% profit depending on the market situation.
280  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is NOW the time to get into Ethereum ? on: November 29, 2019, 11:59:28 AM
Going from Vitalik comments on Ethereum price valuation, given this token doesn't have a capped supply will suggest to trend reversal in the entire crypto arket before anyone gets into Ethereum. My reason being Ethereum price is always quick to drop with any little shake or news affecting it.
I'm holding a bulk of ETH, but I'm perturbed about a point you mentioned here that ETH price quickly drops with any slight market dip. That's true and I'm hoping things get better in future. I keep accumulating ETH hoping the launch of ETH 2.0 brings goodnews and also hoping to participate in staking. I noticed nowadays that some very good new start-ups do not necessarily launch ERC20 tokens as back in the days of ICO, they launch their own blockchain hence adding more competitors to Ethereum. I really hope aside the staking for ETH 2.0 , there will be improvement in the overall Ethereum blockchain infrastructure.
