Each user has a separate deposit address of course. As deposits come in they are swept into a shared wallet, which is what you found. I think most exchanges operate that way.

I'm sure someone's confirmed that. Does anyone have any links to such a confirmation?

So given that coins stolen by so many scams end up at that address, why are your coins being sent there and what is it?
It's BTC-e.

Do they just have one address for everyone or is that a specific users address?

It means it would be quite hypocritical for BadBear not to remove you.
266  Other / Meta / Re: Request to have michaeladair removed from BadBears trust list on: January 17, 2015, 01:53:11 AM
Given that the topic of this thread is your feedback against those companies, and that it depends on circumstances changing (being able to prove they aren't a ponzi), I would think you would jump at the chance to show you are trustworthy and fair with your ratings, and that you do intend to change feedback as circumstances change. Being in default trust network doesn't mean everyone trusts you, just that the one person who put you on their list does.

I've already proven that I'm willing to remove feedback by removing feedback from nexusmining. Like I said, I've reached out to der_troll who has simply ignored my PM's. I'm willing to remove that negative feedback, der_troll just has to be willing to do the same and get in touch with me.

Looks like you succeeded in using default trust in order to coerce someone else into removing their negative feedback against you. Good for you. That makes you and CanaryInTheMine look like upstanding people who definitely deserve to be in the default trust network, and certainly doesn't lend any credence to other claims that may or may not be true /s.

 Embarrassed

How do you know your shining light on a scam.. Thats all i want to know i want definitive proof.

Not random speculations and theories.

I'm a firm believer in innocent until proven guilty,
where your philosophy seems to be Guilty because i say so..

I understand wanting proof but at the same time like its there choice, your demanding stuff like you have some sort of authority over them

Sad

You've already been provided with blockchain proof that MineThatCloud "pays returns to its investors from new capital paid to the operators by new investors, rather than from profit earned by the operator."

What more proof do you want that they're a ponzi?
271  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Proof that MineThatCloud is a Ponzi on: January 16, 2015, 05:46:24 PM
Your Numbers are Incorrect.

You know we do make a lot of our BTC from mining and exchanging scrypt coins? 35,300 MH/s infact Not Just SHA-256.

Get your facts right before posting, Dont speculate.

All this tread is about is useless unfounded speculation with no substancial reasoning.

Show your maths then proving him wrong.

Also, you still need to explain why 12wmRSVf1e6MTpmvGuUxreEXxbaRHkepuC is being paid from the money they sent you via 2 intermediate addresses. That's the very definition of a bloody ponzi:

Quote
A Ponzi scheme is a fraudulent investment operation where the operator, an individual or organization, pays returns to its investors from new capital paid to the operators by new investors, rather than from profit earned by the operator.
272  Economy / Securities / Re: ASICMINER: Entering the Future of ASIC Mining by Inventing It on: January 16, 2015, 05:30:44 PM
What do you mean by signed the transfer correctly? It doesn't say anything on the havelock guide about signing unless I missed something.

Quote
How to Import Direct Shares:
1. Send an e-mail to fnnirvana@gmail.com & Havelock Investments at
AMFund@havelockinvestments.com with the following message:

”Please transfer (X) of my shares to the Havelock Investments account at 1J5fvfUrDcZj8rrpVHMgn8u7sXee84QkPd --
AMFund@havelockinvestments.com”

Also include the following info:
- Your current ASICMINER share-holding wallet address & e-mail address
- The quantity of shares you wish to transfer

2. If the e-mail address you have on file with ASICMINER is different than the one you use for your Havelock account, you MUST send an e-mail from the e-mail address you have registered with Havelock confirming this import request. If this is the case, please provided a dated, signed message from the host wallet to confirm ownership.

You need the signed message to prove ownership of the bitcoin addresses tied to the direct shares.

I always have problems with time conversions.  4 PM is when they determine for the day?

If any kind soul could help me out Smiley  What time EST would that be in the US?

Thanks in advance.

well atleast now i have a answer to my curiosity despite never having officially asked the question here. As i am sure since china is big i am sure they cover multiple time zones just like the USA spans accross 6 time zones i figured as much was true for china. So would end up being 3am my time as i am in the Central time zone in USA

That's why it makes most sense to use GMT or UTC on the Internet.

Edit: And dates should never be in the format mm/dd/yy.
274  Economy / Securities / Re: AMHash1: Cost-Effective Mining Contract on: January 16, 2015, 05:12:29 PM
This person seems to agree that even legitimate companies can be driven out of business by a systematic campaign of hate and fearmongering. If enough customers can be driven from them so they can´t stay in business, well then the objective of the hatemongers has been met and they can conclude that is was a scam after all. Never mind that nothing at all will be determined in any court of law.

There would be no "systematic campaign of hate and fearmongering" if those "legitimate companies" provided proof of legitimacy instead of acting exactly like other "legitimate companies" that have already ran away with peoples money. If those "legitimate companies" fail because of that then they only have themselves to blame for acting like "legitimate companies" instead of acting like actual legitimate companies.

I dunno obviously I can't say anything for certain, cause im no pro.
But I still don't see how you can say they are a scam for certain.
So far they have paid up, and kept in contact and answered all my questions quickly and well...

Also did'nt in there original post it say that  they had btc in a mining address??
surely that disproves your theory on that account...

I would like to know to be honest i'm peppering them with questions on there site and so far they have given satisfactory answers to everything.

I'm not going against you or anything I just think that surely you need more solid proof to post scam accusations on here??

Do you even know what a ponzi is? PBMining paid out right up until it ran away with the money. So did Hashie. So did Cryptominer. So did every ponzi in existence. That's how they work.

As for their mining address:

We can assure you we are legitimate, But only time will prove that.

What is your mining address?

I'm not at liberty to disclose that as I have been informed it could lead to a potential attack. We do not want to give that out publicly.

276  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Proof that MineThatCloud is a Ponzi on: January 16, 2015, 04:39:19 PM
Incorrect, We have our mining address with funds in.

So unless you know that, Your argument is flawed. We are not a ponzi and will prove that to our customer base.

We dont have to prove that to random people who wont stop harrasing us. Please leave us alone

I expect more from a hero member.

You are paying your customers directly with money that your customers have sent you. The proof is in the blockchain for everyone to see.

You are paid by a customer with address 12wmRSVf1e6MTpmvGuUxreEXxbaRHkepuC and a fraction of those coins are returned to the customer with that address after only passing through 2 other addresses.

Lets start to talk about who else "MIGHT" be a ponzi without any proof.

There is no "might be a ponzi" about it. They are paying new customers with the money from old customers.

This is getting very serious. Now this Mabsark character has replaced his AMHASH promoting signature with a red letter warning against this company. Is this even allowed on these threads? Campaigns of hate and harassment? There should be some terms of service that users are required to follow.

I asked about such rules here. I'll be testing a couple of new sigs over the next few hours.
278  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] CLOUDMINR.IO Mining contracts || 0.0015 BTC / GHS on: January 16, 2015, 04:27:58 PM
Cloudminr.io just confirmed that there is no signature campaign at the moment and that you "have proven to be easy to work with".

I'm just trying to ensure that you are aware of the risks. Just because you state you are not an employee, doesn't mean people will believe you and it doesn't mean they won't dox you and your family and friends.

Also, the decline in price would have had no effect on a ponzi as it only effected maintenance fees. Ponzis don't have maintenance fees because they don't have hardware.

279  Economy / Securities / Re: AMHash1: Cost-Effective Mining Contract on: January 16, 2015, 03:51:07 PM
Also Mabsark is not my colleague, we are both signed up to the same signature campaign along with either 28 or 48 other people.

I'm not actually participating in the signature campaign. I passed on the opportunity so someone else could take the spot. More advertising. Smiley
