Tho of freaking course Love looks to be a rising star. My god, GB has some sort of QB drafting cheat code.

It's not a cheat code they draft and have them sit behind the veteran for a year or 2 or 3 to learn the system before throwing them to the dogs.

Not bitcoin, but I found this "weird" snippet:

https://getpocket.com/explore/item/the-ghostly-radio-station-that-no-one-claims-to-run

What the heck? Bizarro..."the Buzzer", "the Pip" and the "Squeaky Wheel".

I'm of the opinion that it is a canary signal.

* psycodad grabs his old SDR and tunes to 4.625MHz to find out when the world is ending.

It sounds a lot like a combined canary and command channel. I.e. if you hear the buzz, you have reception, all good, carry on.
If the buzz is not there, somebody is blocking/jamming it, use "plan B" (the instructions you got for this situation ahead of time) then.
Otherwise you wait for commands to get active, I assume any commands will be issued either repeatedly or at fixed times (the article doesn't mention that).

But then again, if you're one of the evil super powers, what keeps you from just broadcasting with high power on that frequency a recording of yesterdays buzz to keep the sleepers inactive while you nuke the other evil super power.

Maybe its just a leftover from cold war that they kept running to keep a bunch of spooks in every country busy. I reckon the Russian are experts on the field of wasting opponents resources (i.e. firing $2000 loittering amo toward UKR and watching the other side launching a multi million Patriot SAM shooting it down).

Fascinating nonetheless.

Canary with a cryptographic component.

Ever hear of the soviet doomsday machine?

Are you refering to the Sistema Perimetr? If so, no didn't know that and thanks for the pointer.
Sounds quite scary and amazing at the same time. I don't want to even start to try to dig up what the other nuclear powers have in place for uncomfy situations like a decapitation first strike..

In 1967, the Soviet Union first attempted to create a system, called "Signal", which they could use to create 30 premade orders from their headquarters to the missile units.[2] Although the system still was not completely automatic, their intent was no different.

In the early 1990s, several former high-ranking members of the Soviet military and the Central Committee of the Communist Party, in a series of interviews to the American defense contractor BDM, admitted the existence of the Dead Hand, making somewhat contradictory statements concerning its deployment.[14]

What will happen if the majority of exchanges follow the same step as OKX recently, delisting Dash? Is there any plan for people to continue trading the currency?

the plan is too dump faster if that continues.

OT: ChatGPT is becoming "lazy".

https://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2024/jan/12/chatgpt-problems-lazy

I wonder: if in response to a prompt it would say: "make me"...would it mean that it is finally conscious...with a attitude of a teenager?

...it probably calculates an incredibly elaborate scheme of trading all 11 bitcoin ETFs vs bitcoin in a way that every single chain of trades results in the guaranteed profit.
Knowing the price and the NAV of all 11+btc, it is probably possible to do in real time.

That article led to me deciding to have a chat with ChatGPT.  I first tried getting it to talk about Bitcoin but, it was very resistant.  I decided to go a darker route. Interaction is below...

I got the cheifs in a cold one.  I think it's supposed to be upwards of negative 10 degrees with the windchill.  Miami being used to the warm weather I think this is the worst conditions they could see.  Tough to air it out downfield to hill when the ball feels like a cement block.  Think it's gonna be a pound and ground game.  Cheifs in a 19-17 win at home to move on!

Miami almost beat the Bills last year in the freezing snow.

Steelers run game in the snow vs bills may make that game a real squeeker that I'd stay away from.
* Looks like the game is postponed
273  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Patriots and Bill Belichick Have Mutually Agreed to Part Ways on: January 12, 2024, 08:12:08 PM
For my part I would like to see him going to the Chargers, since they are a disaster on and off the field since they are 34 millions over the cap and they need someone like Belichick to fix things up and get the most out of all the talent they do have.

Chargers really need the help on D so I can see him doing well there.

AFA this
Quote

But the best possible options could be either the Texans or the Bengals, both have great QBs, 74 and 69 millions on cap space respectively for next year and not the best coaches, I do not know if those teams have shown any interest on Belichick, but if i was the owner I would be interested.

With what we have seen him do recently he would destroy these teams.

He is not the same penny pincher he was in the past, he is squandering the cap on a ton of has beens.

It's almost like he has turned into a different person the last few years, really weird.

He would let a player go or make them take a pay cut in years past and now he is handing golden parachutes to players other teams have given up on as a rule.

Always do as they do, never do as they say you should do.

Vanguard: "BTC is bad mmkay, it's really volatile, so it's bad as a long term investment"

Meanwhile, Vanguard is number 2 and 3 shareholders of MicroStrategy (15% total) and Coinbase (14% total).

Haha I have been telling a buddy that is very well off to get in for well over a decade and he lost a ton on silver and stocks listening to that retard cramer and I sent him the headline with the etf's and he sent back "maybe that will clamp down the volatility" LOL, I sent back "Hope not, Buy the dips and sell the highs".

But its apparent to me the mainstream is pushing that narrative to the zombies when I heard it from him and you just posted that same coming from vanguard.

The SEC's Gary Gensler reiterated on live cable TV that "Bitcoin is a highly speculative volatile asset that is used for illegal activity."

If you are right regarding a local top Cramer would be too..  And, out of experience, that's extremely hard to swallow....

Even a broken clock is right twice a day.

That doesn't apply to Cramer. He seems to have a perfect track record of being a contra indicator  Cool

But that is also a trap that will be sprung so don't throw all your eggs betting on that one basket.

He is 100% used to fleece the sheeple though and there is no debate to be had there.

I'm not sure why but the public loves so much CLE -2.5, the line has even gone to -3.5 in some places.

Their much-hyped defense is allowing the joint most points per game away from home. Sure, Flacco has had a good run, and he has postseason experience and wins to his name, but i don't see the Texans getting beat from the pocket again.  Amari Cooper had the game of his life in Week 16 (against the Texans), but no one mentions that the Texans lost like four defenders in the first quarter, some of those guys will play tomorrow, it was also Davis Mills and Case Keenum at QB.

Stroud, with no experience and only one healthy wide receiver, went to Indianapolis and absolutely shredded the Colts' defense.  N. Brown and R. Woods are back, reinforcements in defense; defense which i find to be very talented and highly underrated.

It also got good news in regards to two banged up defensive ends as both rookie Will Anderson Jr. and four-year veteran Jonathan Greenard are returned to practice on Thursday.

The two pass rushers are expected back for the Texans this weekend.
...

Agreed, as you can see I picked Houston over Cleveland.

278  Economy / Gambling discussion / Patriots and Bill Belichick Have Mutually Agreed to Part Ways on: January 11, 2024, 11:49:32 PM

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. – The New England Patriots and Bill Belichick have mutually agreed to part ways, concluding his 24-year tenure as head coach of the Patriots. In 24 seasons with New England, Belichick delivered six Super Bowl titles, nine conference championships, 17 division crowns (with 2002 and 2008 lost on tiebreakers), including 11 consecutive division titles and 30 playoff victories.

The problem is most of the Gambling board is a total shitshow where posts like the one you quoted above are the norm. I'm in a casino campaign right now but have the hardest time finding threads worth commenting in over there because they are all spamfests. Just pointless drivel with zero quality control, not unlike 99% of Altcoin Discussion. Glad they're usually smart enough not to post in our beloved NFL thread.

IC, I don't read anything over there except our FF thread.

Stick to a player that's outstanding and confident in scoring points. Every team do triggered winning and losing, we have potentials of winning, if they do not have this hope, they wouldn't have compete or contend for any solidable points in the league. Thrilling victory is achievable and everyone has the right to be able to place wager on games. We all have choices to make and our favorites in the game. @morvillz making an exception of choosing Wilson or Flacco over Brownings bases on the tactical date examined, but the same underrated Brownings is the favorite of most viewers in the system.

@Hueristic already responded to my message and he's willing to check the post again for reconsideration.

I checked it and since you were unable to give me a untranslated version I don't think I believe you.

30mm Brownings are in fact used in tactical situations but umm explain how that would be used here.
This is the post you tagged as AI generated and I've already explained to you that the untranslated version( before using grammarly) is not longer in my drafts ( forum) and free grammarly does not save logs/history of posts reworded. I believe you've already scanned the post you tagged as AI generated and got negative report. It was literally seems as off-topic because of how the grammars were worded and the moderator has already deleted it. I don't think there is any who saves what they wrote last week somewhere on a file and recovers them anytime they want. Is there something like that ?

Most times posts are not really bad but English made it look pretty bad sometimes.

This is how my draft looks like, I write all my post in English and not in my first language as you believe (maybe) and only uses grammarly app to improve my punctuations marks and spellings ( this is exactly what I told you in PM) if you're asking for the version in my first language it does not exist cause it was never written in it.

Nope, never bothered to scan it as I don't want to waste my time being a forum cop.

I just don't want to have to wade through worthless drivel and you spew out garbage.

Stick to your local language board until you either get a better command of the language or have something of substance to say that actually makes a modicum of sense.

If I see you posting garbage in the threads I frequent again I will make a study of you and you will not like the outcome of that I'm sure.

*don't PM me again.

*Merged

You will never see me again I promise and I'm improving my English gradually. I will appreciate if the tag is removed as it does not send the right message about me. ( I don't post with AI). Thanks.

I will consider changing it from "Looks to me like this account is using AI to write posts " to "This account posts are of low quality", how does that sound?
