I'm somewhat concerned about what will happen immediately after the end of the airdrop, when there's no bonus carrot (eligibility for the next airdrop) for people to HODL a significant majority of their coins. It seems like a crash could follow as the volume of coins being exchanged increases substantially.
During the airdrop there's a big "inflation" due to all the new coins entering circulation every week. This of course is and will push the price dow and as you said, we can probably expect a huge dump after the distribution is finished. In my opinion some bigger price increase can thus come only after the airdrop is finished. But DeepOnion is a great project, so even if the price hits rock bottom at some point, it will revive very soon for sure. It will be just an opportunity to buy cheap coins before the x100 explosion

I think IOTA has a lot of potential in long term. If it will be used in internet of things as expected it can gain a lot of value. However, I don't think it will get market cap higher than Bitcoin, at least not very soon. So don't expect quick profit, but for long term investment it can be good.

I wish you a lot of success with this coin. I agree with the previous comments that you should focus on development, not exchanges at this point. I really like cryptonote coins (with cryptonight PoW) because they are one of the very few which still be effectively mined by CPU. This makes them much more decentralized, which is good

I didn't receive anything from 8. airdrop. What is the problem. My status was accepted. I checked before the airdrop distrubution everything was fine. But now I am in blacklist. What is the reason?
Here's the reason.. The Dev Team don't ban without any reason, they are not banning people out of thin air. LOL, he's getting free Onions and spreading FUD about DeepOnion at the same time and than he wonders why he's banned I would say EPIC FAIL Come on guys, we are all getting a lot of money in Onions every week, be at least a bit supportive instead of spreading FUD.

some seem to be dumping their airdrops??
According to the stats ( https://deeponion.org/stats.html ) there seem to be only 2 more dumpers since yesterday, so it's not that bad But at current Onion market liquidity, even dumping let's say 6000 onions puts the price down a bit. Anyways I'm not concerned about the price now, I'm hodling all my coins... the potential price is much bigger that the current one, so it would be stupid to sell. DeepOnion has a great potential to become one of the most valuable coins, I wouldn't be surprised if it would get to Top-20 within a year or so. PS. Thank you very much for today's airdrop dev

DeepOnion is definitely the best airdrop I ever participated in. The dev made a very good move by making the airdrop 40 weeks long, distributing coins once a week and combining the airdrop with signature campaign. This gives the project a lot of advertising and very big supportive community has been built already. And as was said already above, money-wise it's also excellent, all participants get like $500 - $1000+ worth of coins every week (at current Onion price), which is quite a lot. It means that if you participate in all 40 drops, the coins you get for free can be worth at least $40k. If you are eligible, you should definitely apply and join in

Nice looking project. Are there any links to the weekly payouts, details like current participants and which week we're on? I skimmed through a few pages and visited the website but couldn't find it.
You can find the info about already distributed coins in a very nice form here: http://deeponion.info/The number of coins for each round of distribution is in the first post - there is a list week by week. I hope this helps

50,000 MTNC to run a masternode??? Seems more prohibitive than PIVX requirement. The problem is, once the coin is worth a dollar, a masternode is out of reach of most.
Exactly, once the price goes up, most people will nat be able to afford it. Maybe it's something to think about for the future. Since we want as many masternodes as possible, maybe davs could reconsider this number in the future, according to the actual situation.

Once again the price drop is more than the airdrop Well, there is a lot of "inflation" pressure on the price due to the airdrop - a lot of new coins entering circulation every month. So my guess is that the price can substantially rise only after the airdrop is finished.

Do you know how many airdrop rounds are there still going to be in the future now that the amount per BTC is lowered? Should be at least 3-4, no? It's actually better that the amount per BTC was lowered, the after-distribution dump doesn't seem to be as big as was usually before.

I am afraid you can not change airdrop address in the future. Download a wallet, install it, and you have a Deeponion address in top of 2 minutes. Entering your exchange address is not a good idea.
Yep, I wouldn't put an exchange address for airdrop. The coin can get delisted, something can happen to the exchange... and you can't change it in the future. On top of it you can't stake at an exchange and you probably don't want to loose these extra Onion you can make by staking

They are just banning their own people from participating in big money business. Tehy will realize sooner or later that this decision was stupid and lift the ban... although probably with some regulations applied in order to eliminate obvious scams and ponzi schemes. For now, China is not the whole world so we shouldn't be worried that much I guess.

I'm not sure how someone (even a governing body) can control or regulate this. Wallet addresses are anonymous and you can use VPN's to access the Internet. This ruling doesn't change much except create fear which will drive the price of current cryptocurrencies down.
They can regulate this at least on the side of Chinese issuers. If the ICO wants to be trustworthy and actually get some money, the team behind has to be known. In that case, they can just easily come to their homes and arrest them In any case... athough I understand that they want to prevent scams and such big "crowdfundings" probably can't stay uncontroled, they are basically putting a nail in their own coffin. If Chinese people and companies are banned from this blockchain revolution (kind of), somebody else will get the big money flowing in instead of them.

I don't this it's a very good idea. When people use faucets, it's because they want to get some coin which already has some value. Nobody want some intermediary yet-another-random-altcoin between them and the faucet. IMHO, people just wouldn't use faucets which would be paying in your coins.

I see two reasons there: 1. BTC price reached $5000, which is a very strong psychological barrier. Many investors thus decided to take their profits at this level. 2. It might also be a typical weekend dump, abusing the fact that people can't deposit fiat money into echanges during the weekend. The dump triggers stop loss orders and price falls even lower. Speculators can then buy cheap BTC before the price goes back up during the next week, when people can send money to echanges again.

If you want to go for high-risk high-gain option, check DeepOnion. It is a new coin, with 40-week airdrop+sig campaign currently ongoing. It is an anonymity-oriented coin with integrated TOR. It is a new coin, so its market cap is currently only ~ $4 mil., which means great potential to rise up to x100 in the following months. For now, it is traded only at NovaExchange. I consider this one very promising since the community is growing rapidly (only after 2 months, the official DeepOnion forum has over 1600 members - see https://deeponion.org/community/) and the dev(s) are very ative. The ANN thread is here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2006010.0You might as well join the airdrop (see my current sig

I'm very upset about my ICO investment. It raised the highest amount from ICO but the price fall down since start. I lost my hopes now. I just want to sell but I don't want to sell at loss. I guess I need to forget about my Bancor investment until it come back to ICO price (If it ever comes).
Also price of many other ICOs dropped below the ICO price for several months before it consolidated and eventually skyrocketed. IMHO it is quite natural since it takes time to develop the product and before its done, there's nothing that would support the price. We just have to be patient... based on my long-term observation I would tell than only hodlers become rich, weak hands loose money or earn some peanuts.

Personally I'm very positive about Waves. There was a lot of positive news lately which were not yet considered in price. Also, based on the news, it looks like there should be alot of money flowing into Waves in the next several months, which simply must positively influence the price.
I'm not saying there must necessarily be a huge hype, but the price should definitely increase.

Yay, I just made it to Senior Member And I already changed my DeeopOnion signature... the Sr. Member one is much more visible and "shiny", so I'm happy I can bring much more visibility and advertising for DeepOnion as of now Now it will be a veeery long way to make it to Hero Memeber.
