261  Other / Off-topic / Re: [FAQ] Is BitCoin a Ponzi or pyramid scheme? (Newbie-Friendly) on: January 18, 2013, 03:03:29 PM
Who are pushing bitcoin towards the dangerous Ponzi scheme? Those who

  • hoard bitcoins and sell bitcoins in the exchane in volume
  • and don't BUY anything with bitcoins,
  • and they advocate that bitcoin is the future currency.

Who are friends of bitcoin that consolidate the value of bitcoin as currency? Happy and reasonable shoppers who BUY things with their bitcoins.

The risks of becoming a big ponzi scheme do exist if most bitcoins are bought and sold on the market.

7/10

Got some pretty good bites for the effort.

Also attracted other trolls to feed off your success.

You could have upped your score by godwinning or mentioning communism.

Congratulations and welcome to the forums and my ignore list.

Seems like only yesterday I was considering buying at 14.3$ ... Oh wait, it was!

Actually, my funds just didn't clear in time  Angry , damn you banking system, damn you !!!   Wink

Still waiting for my funds to get there since last week. I'm never using gox again.

If you'd done any research you'd know people have been having issues.  There are other ways.  If you haven't sorted it out by this time then that's not their fault, it's yours.

There are so many people blaming others for their own mistakes on this forum. It's hard to watch.

Your a bad troll, and you should feel bad.

Also, welcome to the forums!

... and to my ignore list Wink

been trying to get funds into gox since last week. Finally put in a support ticket and today they said they had to talk with their dev team as to why it took so long. Still waiting for the funds but at least they said it was in the que.

Blockchain.info is the best web based wallet EVER.

Oh, this is the fallout of the last major scam (debacle?) before the pirate scam. These kind of disasters serve as a lesson for the rest of us, and in the end make the bitcoin user base more aware...
272  Other / Off-topic / Re: How to live forever on: December 16, 2012, 06:10:46 PM
Consider the way things are going with modern medical science. We are beginning to regrow our organs from peoples own stim cells. I think the chances of the people posting now in this forum have a high likelihood of living centuries.

That's not even taking into account transhumanism, when people start swapping out body parts for more capable cybernetic one.

Thus my excitement on hearing about bitcoin. Its given me an investment that could possibly pay for replacement parts... in however many decades that may be. Wink
273  Other / Off-topic / Re: Who here watches My Little Pony? on: December 16, 2012, 06:03:48 AM
Anyone else find it funny that at least one of the biggest trolls on this forum was a fan of a show called "friendship is magic?"

Or are there subtle "how to be a dick to everyone on the internet" instructions hidden in the episodes?

*shrug* I figure trolls like all sorts of stuff. Kinda unfair to single out bronies. What about the trolls that like the Big Bang Theory?...
274  Other / Off-topic / Re: The Singularity on: December 16, 2012, 05:58:28 AM
Bitcoin has been part of my singularity plans since I had heard of it.

276  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer - MtGoxUSD wall movement tracker on: December 14, 2012, 01:56:06 PM
Can't believe they still have these bugs in their system. Anyway these spikes are usually followed by a massive upswing.

yeah, all the bots confused Wink Maybe it's intentional... that'd be quite unethical.

Its not a bug, its something to do with people buying in a different currency than usd and how gox converts it or something... there have been threads on that before but I can't find it on this stupid phone.
277  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer - MtGoxUSD wall movement tracker on: December 14, 2012, 02:54:14 AM
I have a post on page 1 so I'm good.

This has been a great thread.

Only 16k coins to 14$.

279  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Bitcoin-Central, first exchange licensed to operate as a bank. This is HUGE on: December 08, 2012, 12:20:37 AM
Oh my God are there 80% lunatics on here .. i see hundreds of people cheering and 2 3 4 5 people speaking out .  it's like an obama election .
It's ok... you're making up for it in double-postings.

Let me ask you this:  Is it wrong for people to trade Bitcoins for goods and services?
Let me further ask you this:  Is money (yes, even fiat) not a representation of goods sold and services performed?
And to take it further:  Is it wrong for people to trade Bitcoins for fiat currency?
And another step:  How are people supposed to EASILY trade Bitcoins for fiat currency without using fiat currency's existing infrastructure?
Still going:  How can it be a bad thing to make Bitcoins easier for people to get their hands on?

That is all.

Don't worry, he's just trolling.
280  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Bitcoin-Central, first exchange licensed to operate as a bank. This is HUGE on: December 07, 2012, 11:36:04 PM
You mean I can actually buy Bitcoins now without it being a complete bitch to do?

No, I presume they will only sell bitcoins to customers that have gone through all the identity checks. This is a way to get easily get rid of all your bitcoins in your favourite shop, again once you have gone through all the identity checks.  Please correct me if I am wrong.

So the other side of the (bit)coin is that the banksters and the eurocrats will know how many bitcoins you have in there, how do you trade them (capital gains? repent!) and above all they will be enabled to lock your bitcoin-backed credit card if you end in some black list of them.
Thanks, but no thanks.
After all these efforts and complications to get out from the banksters' matrix, it is ironic to get back at square 1.
Ffs  somebody is fucking seeing it. I can't believe the amount of people who are as dumb as shit .. literally get the fuck out.
