If we are fractal and looking like just before the first early spikes then hold on to your minds if you have a few BTC going by those charts.

jesus! I think I see it, too. That'd be one hell of a good time Wink

If this brought you onto a trip. (I definitely am) You could continue here:

For recreational purposes and as fodder for the bulls, here's a chart I just made that attempts to get a better picture of actual Bitcoin transaction volume (in USD, from 2011 through now) by exploting the effect of a recently discovered bug in the satoshi client that causes "the change output to never be the last output of a transaction":

(click for larger version and more info)

If this indeed shows an accurate enough picture of Bitcoins actual transaction Volume (the extent to which this is the case is unknown to me) then I can't help but say: this is fundamentally bullish.

Awesome, thanks  Shocked

For recreational purposes and as fodder for the bulls, here's a chart I just made that attempts to get a better picture of actual Bitcoin transaction volume (in USD, from 2011 through now) by exploting the effect of a recently discovered bug in the satoshi client that causes "the change output to never be the last output of a transaction":

<chart snipped>

If this indeed shows an accurate enough picture of Bitcoins actual transaction Volume (the extent to which this is the case is unknown to me) then I can't help but say: this is fundamentally bullish.

I would be interested in seeing this chart with all of transactions involving 1dice* addresses excluded from the data.

Does the type of graph of the bids & asks -- you know the one formatted like a valley -- not the bars of bitcoin charts -- that everyone posts have a name?

I have never seen this type of chart besides related to bitcoin. I would like an answer to this as well. I think it is a great chart that conveys way more info (even if misleading) than the usual timecourses.

BUY BUY BUY BUY

Is there anything to infer from the stepped nature of the walls? The ask side is much more edgy, whereas the buy side shows a more graded smoothness.

if the step comes and goes at once, one can assume that it is just one individual in the market. smoother walls can be the result of big players as well (i.e. it's trivial to place many asks or bids instead of just one)
