261  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What scares you the most? on: November 04, 2019, 04:02:41 AM
The way you put it, I don't think it is possible for anyone to wake up to see the price of Bitcoin drops to zero, that's not possible. Even if that's going to happen, it's not going to happen in a day, it's going to take a really long time for the price to drop to that rate. But I don't even wish for that to happen in anyway.

As for private keys, well, even if you lose the private keys, I don't really see how that's possible as long as you still have access to the wallet..

Well, you can move the coins to another wallet and create a new one. You will only be worried about most of these things when you're not using a good wallet or exchange. That's why you should look for a good wallet if you don't have one.
262  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: WHEN THE LAST COIN HAS BEEN MINED. on: November 03, 2019, 02:18:27 PM
We don't know what will actually happen if all coins were already mined and we'll never find out cause we're already dead by that time. But if all bitcoin were already mined, bitcoin will still continue circulating and to be used for trading. No more bitcoin to be mined doesn't mean it's already the end. And I think during that time, bitcoin will be more valuable.
That is what many people have said, they have calculated the last bitcoin to be mined as year 2140 which you already said that many of us would have been dead by then, but I believe that by that time, the value of bitcoin will really increase because what will be circulating in the market now would be coins that has already been bought and no one will be able to get mined coin again which would make the value of bitcoin to become so expensive.

Bitcoin would  be kind of scare by that time, and i think whatever investment we leave in bitcoin right now no matter how small it is, is what our generation them would bank on and always appreciate us for, which is why we need to keep our coin for long term investment that would benefit is and our generations.
263  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What Happens If China Bans Bitcoin Mining? on: November 02, 2019, 08:17:08 PM
China is already try to ban crypto and nothing changed. I dont think that they are going to really change something
They tried but they have not succeeded, china controls 70 percent off mining in the world, so they have so much influence on mining, if china bans it now, the Chinese people would be finding it hard to freely mine bitcoin and other coins that are mineable, and to move the mining machine out of the country would be difficult because their custom would really want to frustrate such miner.

This will surely make these coins to start becoming quite more scare, though the more the coin becomes scarce, the more the value will appreciate, but we cannot completely keep miners out of the market, and the remaining miners around the globe would not be enough to really satisfy the need of the community generally for these coins, so we need china to have full support.
264  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Friendly City on: November 02, 2019, 07:48:05 AM
It is not a boring topic to me, it is in fact highly motivating seeing that at least we have US cities that are amongst them and these cities re still one of the top cities in America, and like you said, I think what can really make any city really become crypto friendly is if they can all start accepting bitcoin because for payment of things, without those merchant, even those that are willing to use their cryptocurrency to make payment will not be able to use it as they will not have anyone to spend it to.

We need to start encouraging lots of merchants to accept bitcoin if we really want an adoption rate to grow and that is where we need to begin from and not even all these cryptocurrency users or investors that we are all encouraging first. I have crypto that I would like to spend, but because of lack of where to spend it is what has discouraged me.
265  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: (Yes or NO) The 2020s belong to DEXs on: November 02, 2019, 07:14:18 AM
Decentralized exchanges are still the best of them all to use and the reason why we all keep our money in CEX or use them is still because of the irrelevant volume on dex exchanges, because no one wants to keep their fund in a place where they will not be able to get their transaction done fast and in a conducive way which is still the power that big centralized exchanges have over dex exchanges.

I sure believe that many people will be willing to use a decentralized exchange whom even have more secured platform than that of centralized exchange if they can have the volume that is needed for it. I wish that these dex exchanges that you listed here could actually try their possible best to just ensure that 2020 is really their year because enough is actually enough of these cex exchanges.
266  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin in 2020? on: November 01, 2019, 06:16:12 AM
Hy all. How are you. Bitcoin will rise to the moon in early 2020, do you know the reason? One reason is that more and more people are familiar with crypto and the digital world. Thanks. Cool
That is no reason to me because the gap between now and early next year is not very much for us to just suddenly conclude that bitcoin will start rising because of the familiarity of people to it. When I saw this post, what I expected was to see the exact reason why you think people will get more familiar to it between now and December, or early next year.

For those who believe that bitcoin increase will be around middle of next year still has some solid facts to make, they believe that the halving off bitcoin which is meant to happen at May next year has a very great impact on the value of bitcoin, and I also have this felling that Ethereum upgrade then will make the ICO market to start coming back to light again.
267  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin down on: November 01, 2019, 05:26:12 AM
As I have predicted and many others analyst have done too, I think that bitcoin is really going down to $7000, and that will be the major starting point for bull run, because many of us already know that bitcoin will bottomed completely at $7000, and knowing this already, it means that spot is the best for us to start buying whatever we want to buy right now at large if we have the money, because I see bitcoin rising from $7000 to $16000 by the end of the year.

people should not panic right now to sell, what we should be trying to do right now is to be accumulating bitcoin which I am sure that whales are also doing, and this is why they are smarter than us, there is still chances that it might not fall more than this, so it is still better if you buy now, the gap will not kill.
268  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: IEO exchanges not required KYC on: November 01, 2019, 04:55:06 AM
I like the cryptocurrency due to the privacy, i do not like to send my IDs to anyone even if it is popular and trusted websites, requesting KYC to participate in IEO is against privacy why i have to send my ID to participate in IEO!!
Most of exchanges launched their IEO platform required KYC.
Is there any exchanges run IEO and do not required KYC.
Only a Dex exchange will not require KYC, there is no centralized exchange that will not ask you for KYC, most exchange that we have right now would like to abide by the policy of the government since it involves collection of money and if they don’t do that when they have any issue that has to do with money laundering, the authority will really use it against them which is what none of them ant at all.

The only way you can abstain totally from KYC is when you stay away from centralized exchanges which I really doubt that you can, because they are the ones that still have the largest volume that we need to really make any of our transactions fast and possible and also, they are still the major people handling IEO now, so there is no way you can abstain if you are really interested in IEO projects.
269  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ICO and scammers on: October 31, 2019, 07:57:14 PM
Sometimes I see rules for staring "good" ICO and one of all paragraph - deanon of creators. But exist countries, in which crypticurrency has been banned and creators have a chance go to jail to 5+ years (examle, Ukraine (if project have a anonymous coin transfer/stablecoins)). If I dont write about myself, I am a scammer (thinked users of bitcointalk). If I write - Im will a convict. What to do?
There are several ways that team and developers do scam people, scamming now has taken so different turn that they will not just come on ico and raise money, and then delete all their accounts, these are no longer effective because even people watch carefully now to be sure that they participate in a project where the team has shown itself to the world, but in showing self to the world, they still have a way to exit the market which I think it is still the easiest to scam.

All they need to do is to create a very bad product to announce to people, when they create a bad product, they wait for it to have a very bad effect on the market, and they gradually die down slowly until we no longer have any interest in it which will make it to die off the market completely and make people blame them on bad projects.
270  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: New Libra Fork - OpenLibra - how does it sounds? on: October 31, 2019, 05:50:11 PM
It is insane to be planning a fork for a project that we are yet unsure if it will be successfully launched or not with all these issues that they are having with different government of the world, and even if there is going to be Libra coin, at least they should wait and see the performance of it first because to me, I don’t listen to all these hype again.

Most of these hype we are carrying about Libra coin might eventually come now and will amount to nothing, so it is better we do not even talk about the fork of Libra coin yet because Libra itself will be a shit coin, and you can now imagine the type of coin that will come from a shit coin like Facebook. I call it a misplaced priority. Better things to attend to than all these Libra shit project that will not make wave.
271  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ALTCOIN IS IN LINE WITH THE HISTORICAL EVOLUTION OF PAYMENT SYSTEM on: October 31, 2019, 05:48:17 AM
It would really be very difficult to overcome any issue with government if the project is a centralized project, and this is why satoshi is still the wisest person that I have ever seen when it comes to crypto world. Imagine that satoshi had made himself know to the world, this issue being faced by Libra coin and gram is what will be faced by bitcoin also and it may never have grown or be accepted as much as people accepted it now.

Even if people want to take gram and Libra coin, once they remember the stand of government against the projects, they will surely withdraw from using them. Altcoins will really need to struggle hard if they really want to succeed in their program or payment, otherwise, it will be a very big battle between them and the government.
272  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Legality effect on: October 31, 2019, 04:34:50 AM
I don’t want to believe that the fiat currency will completely stop working because even the bitcoin itself was only designed as an alternative to fiat and not as a replacement to fiat. It may only gain more popularity than fiat and because we have so many people in the world right now that are all internet inclined, so it would not be difficult for them to actually migrate from the use of fiat to the use of cryptocurrency.

We will surely still have more people too that will keep the fiat system alive, we will have people that will also be using both at any time that is convenient for them. The people that I see the implementation and regulation of bitcoin as currency affect most are still the financial institutions like the bank, they will surely lose lots of customers.
273  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What's your favorite way to receive money as a gift? Cash or digital.. on: October 30, 2019, 06:22:30 PM
I will only believe on that survey if they surveyed more than 1/2 of the total population in a certain country and do it worldwide. Yes it is hard but it is the only way I see.

A small number of people is just a small number and they put the poll on Twitter where the Bitcoin analysts and enthusiasts are active most of the time. I would choose digital too over cash but unfortunately, I don't receive any gifts from my friends Sad

Yes, if given the chance, I would love to receive Bitcoin as a gift too, and will hold it for five years as preparation for my daughter's college fee, because I know by that time, the price of Bitcoin will be times 10 or more of its current price now, depends on the demand and how fast the adoption is.
There is certainly no doubt about that and even in that five years the worth of the gift may have even grown to pay for your child school fees all through and still have some change depending on the worth of the gift that is being received.

If I receive a gift of 1 btc now, I am so sure that by that 5 years, it will be enough to see my 2 children through their university because by that time, I am so optimistic that bitcoin value would have really appreciated to $100k and that is such a big amount of money in the part of the world where I come from when we change the dollar to my countries currency, but even if I don’t receive as git, I am glad that I already have an investment that is at least over 1 btc which I am really willing to even leave for more than 5 years.
274  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How 18-year old boy became Millionare from Bitcoin on: October 30, 2019, 05:44:02 PM
Quote
"I say if you do not become a millionaire in the next 10 years, then it’s your own fault."
!

People come from different backgrounds, different financial situations and different family situations! To get a different perspective of life, speak to a slum boy someday!

He was just lucky to have a rich family! 1,000 $ is a huge sum of money here in my country and can buy a home. So he could easily reach a million dollars especially since he was an early adopter of bitcoin where the price has not yet boom!
That is it, for you to really make it in life, you still need financial support, imagine if he does not have that $1000, or as a young boy which in my country, many of people like this still love under their roof of their parents who hardly give them money because they are either still in high school or just about finishing high school and the only money they are having access to are all these little pocket monies which may now even be upt0 $10 per month.

When I was at his age, I don’t think I have the privilege to even 10 percent of that amount, but one thing that I have learnt from this story which many young people should also learn is that when you have the privilege in life, they should take advantage of it. He could have used the money to play game or gamble, but he invested it.
275  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Would you lend in cryptocurrency? on: October 30, 2019, 04:37:27 AM
I am very much interest in giving out loans in cryptocurrency, but I really don't know how to go about it, though I know that people have been giving out loan in the loan section of this forum. If I am to choose any loan to give out, it will surely be bitcoin, I know that many people would be scared right now because of its volatility, but it is in the future that one will really enjoy it.

It would have been stable coin, but I really don’t see any benefit in having a coin that is stable and not going to benefit or profit me aside the interest. It is only when I don’t have any choice that I will go for stable coin, but for what I feel will really benefit me in the long run, I think that it will be bitcoin, I can still manage to give out Ethereum also, but I don’t think it will pay me as much as bitcoin.
276  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Your Travel Map When Travelling Abroad Carrying Only Cryptocurrency on: October 29, 2019, 01:05:49 PM
The four countries of my choice will actually be countries that is cryptocurrency friendly which I think one of the country that I have ever dream of is among it, but these counties are actually expensive, we talk of countries like UNITED STATE, but the city to be specific is Texas, Texas is very much cryptocurrency friendly, and I think that another country I will be targeting also would be Malta where we have binance headquarter.

I think I would also love to visit japan, this country has been so supportive of cryptocurrency, and I love the way japan has very sound technology with lots of technocrats which I would love to learn and have some experiences in them and I think that last country that I will be considering is Switzerland, this has been a crypto friendly country too.
277  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Smart hodling vs just hodling on: October 29, 2019, 10:55:21 AM
This is  best time to make more buying for bitcoin when we see it make major leap in value, I prefer to see a major rise in value than all these small jumps, with big jump, it would be easier to know that the next line of action would be for bitcoin to start rising another bull again, and marching forward to the price it dropped form ($13,800 in short term and $19,500 in long run) and this is what some people are actually using to make a living, they buy dip for a short term an then sell at high.

Imagine that as at the time bitcoin dropped to $7500, a trader had bought it then, and then there is a price recovery within 2 days to $8000, is that $500 not someone's salary per month, do you think that such person would not always be praying for such dip for him to always make such type of money, so in other words, some dip are just blessing in disguise to us.
278  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Want 10x profits in quick time? WAVES can be one of the coin you must buy now. on: October 28, 2019, 06:02:12 AM
When BTC was struggling in late 2018, I remember the only crypto which showed ~3x rising must be Waves. It increased from less than 0.0005 BTC to 0.0012BTC within a week of time. Right now, WAVES is trading below 10k satoshi and I bet it could bounce back at any time soon to the region of 0.001BTC.

Waves has many unique features like built-in DEX and easy smart contract creation wizard within their wallet. More importantly you may lease out your Waves to earn waves and other tokens on daily basis. As per them your coins stay within your wallet but you are just allowing your coins to participate into mining and other related process.

In my opinion, WAVES must be one of "unsung asset" which maybe due to whales domination. Still, with waves' feature of limited supply its whales will lose their power over the time.
279  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Do not be deceived by inexperienced bounty hunters on: October 27, 2019, 07:04:49 PM
Correct. I agree with you. there are indeed many inexperienced prize hunters who try to spread bad news without being based on their knowledge. sometimes they are without thinking about the risks experienced by others due to their actions.
It's better that everything we get information does have to be checked by itself so we really know whether it's valid or not. I myself sometimes also experience the same problem with a lot of information that turns out to be incorrect. sometimes the participants themselves are jealous and accusing one another
yes,  it's important for you not to always depend on anyone's advice because no one will guarantee you fully, unless the advice you hear makes sense, it might still be reconsidered. but my advice is far better to do your own research results and not depend on anyone.
In life, we are all responsible for our own decision, and whatever decision that we make at any time in life will determine how our future will be, which is why we should always try as much as possible to make decisions that will be right for us by looking and studying things that will always give us clue to the right decision. This is our money, and this is our time, we have to respect it and we have to try as much as possible that we utilize it in a very positive way.

I guess the op’s advice even goes more to investors, because there are too many inexperience hunters in the community that will project anything they see without caring if the project is good for the community or not, if hunters where trying their best in this regards, I am sure that there would not have been scam as much as it is right now, so we have to learn to always do our research.
280  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Stable Coins are a Threat for Bitcoin? on: October 26, 2019, 07:51:19 PM
Let's discuss the potential effects of stable coins which are bound to usd or eur. We usually use them to avoid the volatility or short bitcoin in a way. There are many stable coins in the last year. By writing threat, I didn't mean issues like tether's issue. I mean, they are not coins, they are just usd and eur.
Most stable coins are not decentralized and people understand those, this is one of the reasons that will make people to easily choose it over bitcoin and if you look at stable coins, they are pegged to dollar or euro which make them not to have additional benefits for using them or holding them, and truth be told, people wants what will give them additional benefit which we know that the increase they get in using them is the additional benefit here, of which use will stable coin be to me when they act just like fiat.

With all these functions of stable coin that is stated, do you know that I have never even for once use stable coin before? and most of the payment I have even received from companies in cryptocurrency has all been bitcoin, so with the existence of stable coins people still hold bitcoin far more than that hold all these so called stable coins.
