I heard Civ V is pretty cool, but I don't have it. Would your recommend it? It's a good deal to pay $15 for Civ 5, but it also includes DLC as well as Civ 3 and 4!
Steam says I have spent 549 hours playing Civ 5.  404 Hours here. You beat me.  Civ 4 is way better though. Especially if you install the Rise of Mankind Mod. Makes it about the most complex game ever. |

Als die Finanzkrise 2009 die breite Öffentlichkeit erreicht, ist klar: Es gibt ein Problem mit dem globalisierten Wirtschaftssystem.
Staaten sind in einem historisch einmaligen Maße von Finanzmärkten abhängig, und Reformvorschläge wie die Tobinsteuer werden aus genau diesem Grund verworfen. Ein Vorschlag jedoch setzt sich immer mehr durch, der nicht von Staaten abhängig ist: Die Revolution des Währungssystems durch rein elektronisches und dezentrales Geld: Bitcoins.
Im Oktober 2008 stellte Satoshi Nakamoto in einer Newsgroup seine Idee einer elektronischen Währung vor, die auf einem Netzwerk von Servern ohne jegliche zentrale Autorität basiert.

An zwei zentralen Fragen trennen sich dabei die Geister: a) Ist Bitcoin eine potenziell voll funktionsfähige Währung? b) Ist der staatliche Kontrollverlust ein Schritt Richtung Utopie oder Dystopie?

Wie jeder Währung, liegt Bitcoin eine politische Agenda zugrunde: die Etablierung eines Währungssystems unter Ausschluss von Staaten und Banken. Nakamoto stellt damit die herrschenden Formen von Politik und Macht in Frage. Das Ideal wäre eine Welt, in der alle über das Netzwerk an der Währung mitbauen können, Transaktionen nichts oder nur sehr wenig kosten und unnötiger Konsum ausbliebe. Damit würde die Demokratie ebenso gestärkt wie eine nachhaltige Wirtschaft.
Auf der anderen Seite interpretieren Kritiker die politischen Implikationen der Währung ganz anders: Sie entwerfen eine Dystopie, in der Staaten die Steuereinnahmen wegbrechen würden, da Bitcoins nur schwer besteuert werden können. In diesem Fall würde eine harsche Austeritätspolitik herrschen, verbunden mit dem Absterben des Sozialstaats. Monetäre Wirtschaftspolitik käme durch den Verlust der staatlichen Kontrolle der Geldmenge zum Erliegen, und durch eine Deflationsspirale würde auch das Wirtschaftswachstum einbrechen.
Ist das dezentrale Zahlungsmittel Teil eines Traums von einer staatenlosen, globalen Gemeinschaft? Oder ist es der Anfang einer asozialen, Algorithmen-gesteuerten Netzwerkgesellschaft? Oder vielleicht funktionieren die wertvollen Codes einfach als praktisches Mittel für globale Peer-to-peer-Überweisungen?
Wie auch immer Bitcoin sich entwickelt, die digitale Währung bietet wohl vorerst keine Lösung der Finanzkrise. Denn sie ist weder gegen übermäßige Spekulation gefeit noch gegen Ungleichheit. Jedoch hat das Aufkommen der elektronischen Währung eine Menge wichtiger Fragen aufgeworfen und an ein Prinzip erinnert: Das Währungs- und Finanzsystem ist von Menschen gemacht – und kann von ihnen verändert werden.

It was a site where everyone could start his own ponzi. You set a min and max deposit. How many percent profit each deposit gets, how many percent profit you make from each deposit, a jackpot, where you could put coins into that the very last investor gets and how many percent of each invest get into the jackpot.
The trick was to choose all the settings and the bait right, to keep your ponzi going long enough for you to make back the jackpot bait while not set your profit and early investor provits so high that to few risk it.
All was open and clear (you could see every BTC Transaction and all settings) and a lot of fun.
*Although, note that this is still a loosing game. Like ever "investment" like this.

Insoweit halte ich es auch für extrem naiv, anzunehmen der Bitcoin vertrüge in dieser Phase seiner Entwicklung deutlich niedrigere Kurse. M. E. wäre er bereits gefährdet, wenn er sich für längere Zeit um einen zweistelligen Prozentsatz unter seinem derzeitigen Niveau bewegen würde. Das ATH wirkt zur Zeit wie ein dunkler Schatten, der das an sich gute Niveau nur relativiert und solange der Kurs davon zu weit entfernt ist, wird wohl keine große Aufbruchsstimmung mehr ausbrechen.
Den größten Teil des Anstiegs im November kann man psychologisch auf die Wiederreichung des alten ATH aus April zurückführen.
Jup. Deshalb finde ich es auch gar nicht so toll, wenn der Bitcoin immer so Bubbled. Nach jeder Manie kommt eine Depression. Und der Schaden den so eine anrichten kann ist enorm. Schaut nur Mitte 2011 - 2012 fast ein Jahr lang ist im Bitcoin quasi gar nichts passiert. Jetzt würde wahrscheinlich schon ein Kurs von <600 USd (der vor 4 Monaten noch für Freudensprünge und durchgefeierte Nächte gesorgt hat) langen damit es wieder mit den "Bitcoin liegt im Sterben", "Das wars", usw. -Meldungen losgeht. |

I already answered what drives the market, it's rather simple but in accepting my explanation you also have to accept there is a disguised pyramid in effect in the form of mining hardware prices and ever increasing difficulty. When miners can't ROI they hoard their coins, it created artificial scarcity and all new buyers gobble up the coins until they are at a price that makes it viable for miners to see a ROI on their mined Bitcoins.
Maybe true for hobbyist miners. But the big miners have running expenses they need to cover. So quite the contrary is actually true. If the provability get's lower they are required to sell a larger and larger percentage of their income in order to cover their expenses. |

If that's the case, your are simply over invested. I really can't understand how People can put so much in a new technology they use sleep over it. I put only play money into Bitcoin. Yes I could be ridiculously rich by now if I had risked my complete savings. But I still think this would have been absolutely retarded. I'm happy about what I have, not sad about what I could have had. And I still have a healthy sleep and check the Bitcoin price maybe once a month. Forgetting about Bitcoin the Moment I go to bed. For the Future, I hope with your sleepless nights you have learned your lesson. Invest enough to be happy about it when it works, but only so much you can easily forget about it. Especially if it's the even riskier mining business. |

There simply is no upper limit to the possible price Bitcoin can reach.
Of course at some point growth would be minimal and you could call it a top. Maybe ~1000 already is that point, probably not.
In the long term, either Bitcoin goes to zero some day (maybe 100 Years from now) or in will have its real All Time High in USD on the last day USD is traded somewhere (maybe 100 Years from now).
But to give it any fixed value it will reach some day and that's it, IMO makes no real sense. If Bitcoin is here to stay, it will grow compared to USD as long as there is USD.

Abwarten. BTC-E operiert bestenfalls in einer Grauzone. z.B. € withdraws ohne jegliche Identifizierung. Das die früher oder später geschlossen werden steht für mich außer Frage. Um mal Klaus zu zitieren: Kraken und alle anderen führenden (natürlich auch bitcoin.de) halten sich an die KYC Regeln.
Daher ist es ehr unwahrscheinlich das sie vom Netz genommen werden.
BTC-E wird nicht mehr lange da sein, da bin ich mir sehr sicher. Entweder von Amts wegen oder sie machen einfach die Biege.
Wie gesagt, die Frage ist nicht ob sondern wann.
Darum ist der BTC Kurs auch sehr viel niedriger als bei allen anderen. Ist ein Risikoaufschlag. Wenn man da Fiat hinschickt, naja. Ist eben ehr unsicher. Jetzt mehr den je nach dieser Aufmerksamkeit.

Dann könnte der Kunde einfach einen screenshot von blockchain.info als Beleg machen. Wenn du eine blockchain.info-Adresse hast, kannst du sie auch benennen, soviel ich weiß ...
Jup, das geht aber alles schon automatisch und kostenlos mit der API von Blockchain.info. Es ist nicht mal nötig, dass man dort seine Wallet hat. Wenn man nicht alles von Grund auf neu Programmieren will, oder per Hand machen, trotzdem aber keinen Drittanbieter nutzen will, ist das der einfachste Weg. |

Jup, hast du. Ich nutzte Jdownloader. Das ist doch das tolle daran. Egal welcher Filehoster, kopieren und JD macht den Rest. Allerdings brauchst du die neuste Version (Beta) und ein Plugin. Alles auf Premiumnize verlinkt, musst du suchen wo das ist. |

The other way around. Mining gold does serious damage to the environment, while mining BTC just requires electricity, which only does damage if provided by fossil resources (coal, oil). The minority of electricity is created this way and steadily decreasing. |
