261  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: China can easily launch a coin while Facebook is having a hard time on: October 29, 2019, 10:51:52 PM
All the talks this week are all about China launching its own coin, they can easily do that because China's main man Xi Jinping is the one who wants China to create one, while Facebook's Libra coin is having a hard time to convince the Congress to let them launch Libra Coin,

It's different between the two coins, one will launch easily while the other is having a hard time with the regulator
On a positive note, I think China's plan will be considered of those who are opposing Facebook plans to launch their coin but of course, it
will be highly regulated compared to China's coin who will be under the supervision of China's Central bank.

What's your thought on this?

China has bigger scope in terms of power and influence in the market than Facebook. The country has that kind of reputation as a sleeping dragon that is slowly awakes. Facebook had looked like just a regular ICO for me because I didn't feel that their project will be relevant to the market. If Facebook is mainly a online shopping platform, maybe their project might get more interest.
262  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 8 reasons to start playing blockchain games on: October 29, 2019, 10:10:57 PM
Thinking yet? Let me help you.

You should start playing blockchain games, because:

1. In contrast to usual video games you owe products you bought for your game. And blockchain controls all the operations;
2. You don’t need to invest money to start earning;
3. You earn crypto;
4. It’s only in your hands. Nobody can influences your chances to win. It’s just you and your gaming skills: the better you play the more you earn (up to $3k);
5. There is trading too;
6. You have more possibilities to earn;
7. Competition is low. You can make a good profit just being professional;
8. DApps users number will be growing comparing to traders.

UPD

I've noticed a lot of people here want to know how to find blockchain games. That is why I've created product hunt collection with new blockchain games. Hope it will be useful for you  Cheesy

https://www.producthunt.com/@house_lama/collections/blockchain-games

UPD #2 there is a good blockchain shooter War Field. it’s 100% not scam so I can send it here. you can read details about this game here (I don’t send direct link to their website not to make them advertisement) https://gameunculus.io/blog/96

Compared with the other facets of the industry, blockchain games are not that popular. Maybe because there's already gambling sites online. Personally, I do not mix work with entertainment but the idea of earning money while enjoying playing is pretty much cool. Sadly, it's not to my case tho I know there are a lot people who likes this stuff more than I do. Nevertheless, I hope it could expand more and whi knows maybe, I will try some of them someday.
263  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will China start Altcoin Season on: October 29, 2019, 05:13:19 PM
I hope so!

In my opinion many Chinese are feverishly opening accounts right now to invest
Chinese search engines are reporting the Chinese are searching this topic feverishly!
If these guys start investing in the projects that are on the Chinese list of preferred projects I don’t need to tell you what will happen.

As an example, I am invested in Cardano and it is on the list and they also have a solid presence in China

https://www.tronweekly.com/iohk-bringing-cardano-ada-closer-to-chinese-market/

I am not telling you to buy Cardano it is an example. There are many projects on the Chinese preferred  list.

List is here:

https://news.bitcoin.com/china-rankings-37-crypto-projects/

I assume that they will release their own cryptocurrency by adopting blockchain technology. China is famous for monopolizing the market but their support in blockchain itself have a good impact in the current prices of bitcoin and many altcoins. If they have their own coin in the market, I assume that they will implement it nationwide to maximize the use of blockchain technology or will try their best to gather more investors outside the country. If it is the latter, then they will soon have the power to manipulate the crypto market to their advantage if they are big enough to do so. It will be important to expect it and plan your investment and trade strategy well.
264  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Coming Soon: China's Own Cryptocurrency on: October 29, 2019, 04:42:53 PM
I know that some will be arguing that what China is cooking right now is not actually a real cryptocurrency due to its centralized and state-controlled nature. But what the heck, China is the next world superpower and it is seeing the vision of using cryptocurrency to further its entrenched economic position all the world.

I am seeing a great potential of this coming state cryptocurrency to be utilized in transacting business with China or in eCommerce department, and this is a huge potential. Jack Ma must already be thinking something how to exploit this great opportunity.

Are you seeing what I describe here? China is conquering the globe without using any sword...

China has serious reputation and power over the economy so it did not surprised me when I heard about this news. Instead, I have anticipated that will would happen. With this note, I assume that the government of this country aims to have a solid position in the crypto industry. They have the capital and the technology to do so but it concerns me what will be its impact in the industry as a whole.
265  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Success factors of a project on: October 26, 2019, 11:54:42 PM
Daily many projects are brought into the market with different ideas and background.
But the question is what makes these projects to perform well in the market. No doubt good technical support is too necessary to lead the project towards success, but even with good technical support and marketing many projects can't survive.
So what matters these days is financial backup or financial support. Before entering the market a project (or ICO) should have enough financial support to compete in the market even in worst conditions.

It's my own analysis so far in this altcoin market.
What are your thoughts?

The advertising makes the project stand out and be known by the public. If the project succeeded in catching the interest of the investor, it could aslo most likely gain his trust also as long as the project is legit. There are a lot of cryptocurrencies right now and some look like copy car of each other but if the project is unique and one of a kind, it will surely succeed.
266  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Stake vs Fixed bounty allocation on: October 26, 2019, 09:52:45 PM
With stake allocation you can get more tokens based on the stake and how many participants join the bounty but that's that, the reason why I choose fixed allocation over stake is because right from the start you've know how much tokens you will get and the fact is merely looking or comparing bounties from one to another fixed bounty allocation performs better,they pays most times and no single participants is left out,what do you guys say about this?

Fixed allocation is good if the task has the same difficulty all throughout the campaign. Stake is better if you can exceed your qouta. I like stake more because of course I could earn a lot more and exceeding your quota sounds kind of very good to me. At least, it gets to pay you the more you work.
267  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Unrealistic bounty allocations on: October 26, 2019, 04:50:08 PM
What kind of a bounty hunter are you? the one who is always eager to promote new projects? or the one who select the projects that appeared to be worthy? or for example you like projects with million dollars allocation like...

Well here is the fact, any bounty that gives out huge bounty rewards are unrealistic, we all know that we are in a bad crypto season but still they think this is the best way to lure you, this doesn't mean the project is scam but forget the dollar price tag and don't bother to calculate based on $$$$ because you can get 10$ instead of your 500$ worth of token, i prefer already listed and trading projects, what about you? do you agree or disagree?

No matter how high is the promised or advertised price is, if the project isn't listed on an exchange, very few will take it seriously. Most of the main players in the industry focus on the coins with high trading volume because of the demand. It is difficult for new coins to climb the ladder that's why I think most of the new ones spends a lot of their promotion funds to bonus and promos. But the downside of this is that many will think that it is too good to be true.
268  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Protect Yourself And You Protect Your Assets on: October 26, 2019, 11:56:15 AM
I've read people asking and posting how to protect their wallet but apart from educating yourself on how to protect your wallet, private keys and passwords, It's also very important that you protect yourself from exposing your portfolio you don't go around telling friends and random people, coins that you are keeping.
And also It's important to have other businesses or jobs and not rely on all your needs to Cryptocurrency, people will notice this and they will think you are making a fortune from Cryptocurrency and they might target you.

So are you protecting yourself and how do you protect yourself and your family?

It will not hurt to invest on anti-malware software to protect your PC well. Also, be wise in choosing anti-malware software because there have been reports about fraudulent softwares that supposedly protect you but instead, are the ones that will try to hack your computer. Secure your passwords well and avoid making same passwords. Offline wallets are also good if your prefer a long term of keeping the coin.
269  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Betting : A big problem to crypto? on: October 25, 2019, 08:49:03 PM
I once came across an article where it was stated that over 60 percent of most crypto transaction were used for betting. I don't see anything wrong with that. But don't you think it portrays crypto in a bad way?

It will depend on your personal beliefs and culture if you think that betting has only negative impact to people. Most people here are using cryptocurrency in gambling since many of the coins offers anonymity. Therefore, they can enjoy playing without identifying themselves. Many conservatives have already judged the crypto industry without understanding what it really is so, I do not think we lose anything if they do not like crypto just because it is used for betting.
270  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 5 Ways to earn crypto without investing or mining on: October 25, 2019, 04:38:24 PM
Hello crypto lovers,

I have written this article on 5 ways to earn crypto without investing or mining, I think this is very important as it is the best way to introduce new people into the cryptocurrency. The article link it below. Please feel free to share it with anyone who is looking for ways to earn crypto.

https://www.publish0x.com/crypto-101/5-ways-earn-crypto-without-investing-or-mining-xozwx?a=GELe3POa69

Do you know any other ways outside of the article? I am always looking for more ways to earn crypto to educate people. Also I would recommend that you look at the blogging platform the article is written on, it's one of the ways you can earn crypto for free.

You create content for people to read, similar to Steemit. There are two ways you earn crypto.

1 - Creating content - Users tip your article, you receive those tips.

2 - Tipping articles - When you want to tip an article, you choose how much of the tip you give to the article and how much you keep. You have to tip at least 20%. You get a certain amount of daily tips.

When you tip it rotates currently between HYDRO, Bounty0x and DAI. In the future, they will be adding BAT to the tokens you will own, i don't know if it will be added to the rotation, or they will tip more in BAT.

I really like the platform, and i would recommend it to anyone who likes to read / create crypto content or who wants to earn some established tokens. Remember that all these tokens are listed on exchanges and CoinMarketCap, so they all have a value, you don't need to worry about the bounty paying out or the token being of a value.

You can sign up through the link in the thread, and its free and easy. Hope to see you guys there!

P.S. If you like the article and sign up, give a tip for appreciation  Smiley

The easiest way to earn money here in this industry for me is boubty hunting. It is also my favorite not just because it is easier but also I get to learn more about cryptocurrency. Aside from this forum, I also learn from different platforms and interact with different people. There are also other ways to earn in crypto but bounty hunter might be the one who supported a lot more people than any other ways.
271  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bank of Crypto? on: October 25, 2019, 04:09:34 PM
Considering that most people nowadays often find it hard to store and protect their cryptocurrencies, it's best to delegate the responsibility to a middleman. A bank of crypto would fit the bill nicely, as people would be able to secure their cryptocurrencies without ever having to follow the necessary precautions to prevent hacks or theft. As long as the bank of crypto is highly regulated by the government, then it'll be here to stay for a long time. Still though, not everyone will agree to this as it greatly defeats the whole purpose of crypto and Blockchain technology. The idea of a bank providing crypto services would only prove to be viable for newcomers into cryptocurrency. People who're experienced in crypto, wouldn't need this in the first place.

Nonetheless, do you think that a Bank of Crypto will happen anytime soon? If so, why? Smiley

If there will be financial institution for cryptocurrency, then it would be regulated and not decentralized. It will not be the cryptocurrency that we know. Though it can reduce the scams in the market since it is regulated, it is also more prone to abuse of power over its customers. Personally, I believe that it will not be good idea but if there will be a way in which crypto is still decentralized but somewhat regulated and can be still anonymous, it will be perfect.
272  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin down on: October 25, 2019, 10:48:59 AM
Bitcoin is back down to $ 7500 and altcoin is also following Bitcoin, is this to buy BTC when it is going down badly or waiting for the price of $ 7,000,

It was about 8,200 USD last 20th of October 2019. This behavior of the market is very normal and we all aware of this kind of fluctuation in the market. As the prices of cryptocurrencies drop, it is indeed the best time to buy. But you should research more before you kick start your investment. Study and analyze the trend of the prices of your chosen coin. It is also wise to distribute your capital to various coins that you think are currently in the "strong" position in the market. For me, coins are classified as "strong" when even if the prices drops, it will surely recovers in a reasonable and realistic time frame. That's why it is vital to research a lot about the coin before investing.
273  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: stick to the same option or switch to another option? on: October 24, 2019, 07:18:39 PM
Is crypto included in the ponzi scheme to get rich quickly?
in most cases I have observed why people rush to get short profits, this is not a good way. I mean the decisions they make are not based on common sense.

This is not what you think, if you think that crypto can become rich overnight, you don't need to bother avoiding investment risks. You only need to focus on crypto investments that you think can make you rich.

but unfortunately the market says it's different, there is no way to get quick profits & all you have to do is how you can survive in this market. between a fixed choice with the same option or switch with another option.

Many investors only focus on the profit and it is not healthy in the long run. Making rush and short decisions just to meet the ends or reduce losses will not benefit anyone even yourself. If your emotions can be easily swayed by the market changes, you won't last in the industry. You need to understand that risks are always there and the market changes are the permanent things to observe here. As much as possible, think of the greater picture or the long term outcome of every decision.
274  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Stay Calm, IEOs aren't a threat on: October 24, 2019, 05:19:17 PM
I have overhead many people in various bounty groups talking about how bounty campaigns are gonna die should we move on from ICO to rampant IEO issuance (maybe the exchanges shall take over the advertisements or so).

Fact is that if IEOs become a thing, many projects will arise and hence the services of bounty hunters shall be required again. Every project needs advertisements to expand and that's why we are there as bounty hunters. This is the same way ICOs grew in number.

All we should hope for is a better crypto ecosystem because at the end, we shall be needed for promotion in one way or the other

Bounty hunting became a vital part of the crypto industry and it would not be easily replaced by anything new in the market. IEO will need bounty hunters one way or another so it is unnecessary to panic because of this. It also doesn't mean that ICO will not go back in the trend in the maket. It is not guaranteed that ICO will be gone for good. The only thing that I believe to be sure of is that bounty hunters are essential players in this industry.
275  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Don't give up yet on: October 24, 2019, 12:59:39 PM
The cryptocurrency space has been discouraging for a while now and there's a possibility for people to want to walk away from the industry. Some persons made substantial investment in purchasing altcoin whose value has greatly reduced and the thought of everything could make one want to loose hope. I'm of the opinion that making profits should not be our only goal in the industry but learning and contributing to its growth should be our focus. There's always light at the end of the tunnel and we would get there very soon. Let's be patient for a little more while, no matter how long the night lasts, the morning will surely come. Don't give up yet.

The dull state of the crypto market right is now is temporary because I believe that it is caused by the bad PR from recent scams in the market. People right now indeed need to be more patient than ever. Some coins are going down so it spreads fear to many. Since the prices are going down, it is the best time to buy and to begin investing money. Be patient and hold on to your objectives as long as you can, and if you pass those hurdles, it will be the sweetest victory.
276  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What's up with Ethereum? on: October 24, 2019, 12:06:46 PM
The market is dull but most of us expected ETH to outperform like it did in first quarter of 2018 post bull run when every crypto coin were going down and even the value of bitcoin was dumped but ETH was steady for a while and not sure why ETH is under hibernation mode nowadays. What might be the reason we don't see much movement in the price of ETH? I know all the altcoins are down but ETH is not same as them but I am unable to figure out the reason why ETH is struck.

Many old cryptos that are still in the market right now are becoming less dynamic. The prices are having less fluctuations because of the problems that are caused by the bad reputation from scams. Many other coins have faded away in the market. So, let's be glad that this almost static state of the market, is the only impact it caused in the coins in the top ranks.
277  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 10 Common Mistakes Beginner Cryptocurrency Traders Do on: October 24, 2019, 06:45:42 AM
Well!! Did you know?

Trading crypto is one of the risky thing as a lot of people starts trading without the knowledge of cryptocurrency market.
As a crypto beginner trading crypto safely is one of the best idea ever.

What's your take on this?

Most of the new investors nowadays are impulsive and greedy. They often do not think first nor research more about the coin. Research is a vital process of trading and investment that's why everyone in this industry must practice it. Researching can also improve your future decisions and help you tackle any problems ahead. Knowledge indeed, is a critical factor to determine how successful a trader can become.
278  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Expectation And Reality In The Current Situation on: October 23, 2019, 04:19:19 PM
When 2019 started you have a lot of expectation especially when the price is moving up again from a very long bear trend, you expect that the price will reach another all-time high this year, because of a lot of great news like the Facebook coming in the market.

I'd like to ask the community, is your expectation close to the reality that we've experiencing right now?

Making expectations are key to believe in your investment so it will be better if you will be logical when you expect something to happen in the market. It is difficult to expect, especially after being disappointed a lot of times. Sometimes, we just need to lower the bar, our standards. No one can earn a lot of profit at all times, not anymore at least. But it doesn't mean that investing will go to waste. The investments can help a lot to make more other industries adapt and integrate cryptocurrency.
279  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: If You Died Tomorrow, What Would Happen To Your Crypto? on: October 23, 2019, 03:48:18 PM
As more and more investors join this sector, a question everyone should be asking themselves is: "What happens to my crypto if I was to die unexpectedly soon?"

I understand the thought of this is depressing, but it is inevitable and the only thing that matters is whether you prepared for it or not. Most of us have enough money in this game to start preparing for this in order to prevent it from going to waste.

If you haven't planned around this, or even thought about it yet, I recommend investigating the few options below:

1) Include all your wallets and passwords/seeds in your will. Make sure you include instructions on how to access your funds as well as giving these to someone not familiar with crypto will be just as useless as not even including them in your will.

2) Along with the will, teach the closest person in your life how to access your funds. Whether this is your significant other, family member, or really close friend, make sure someone understands how to access a wallet and transfer/sell the funds. Just like how you should be researching projects before you invest in it, make sure you choose who you share your secrets with carefully.

3) Take a look at Safe Haven. Safe Haven is building an Inheritance Platform that will allow you to do everything above, but with a legal entity that understands crypto and will make sure your funds get in the right hands. Not only will you reassured that your funds are secured and inheritable, but you will also be increasing the adoption of crypto yourself, outside of just investing into it.

So no matter what you are invested in, if it is a large amount of money, I recommend you begin thinking about the future. Crypto is very complex and requires a lot of time to make it fully inheritable, so please make sure you take the appropriate safeguards and steps in doing this correctly.

Putting the keys of your wallets in your will is the only way I know to safely pass your properties from this industry to your love ones when you die. It is good to have a plan in case anything happens. It is indeed vital to also teach those persons how to use and handle your wallets. It is even better to teach them about this industry and encourage them to participate as well. It can be good bonding time as well as long as you explain to him/her the risks that every move in this industry bares.
280  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: how to avoid fraudulent projects? on: October 23, 2019, 03:17:40 PM
I think there is still a way to overcome the problem of scamers in this crypto room (but I'm not saying to eliminate it completely). . This might not have a big effect but at least it can reduce some of the fraud projects that exist in this industry. . like avoiding and not promoting suspicious projects repeatedly. .
I have always observed that many of them and even have high ratings but still support suspicious projects, especially participants (social media).
maybe this is one reason why many fraud projects are increasingly rampant, because someone always gives hope to them and makes someone trapped in it.

so what do you think?
I draw the conclusion above based on what I saw there.

Unfortunately, there are bounty hunters that are still promoting fraudulent projects even though they already knew that it is a scam. It is sad to think that their income is the only motivator they know to do a task. Personally, I find it shallow because I firmly believe that if we want to have a good and dynamic industry, the reputation of the industry must be healthy in the means that the number of people being victimized by fraudulent projects will decrease. I am well aware that we can't fully eradicate those people but there is a way to reduce it by being a responsible bounty hunter.
