i'm a bad idea.... in the cgminer source for d3 if i delete xcoin.c and rename groestl.c in xcoin.c and recompile soure of cgminer, put it in the firmware and run on my d3 .... what's is the result? @blissz can you prepare it for me and i want test... thanks
I want to test it too i can't be so simple ... timings, sequence , etc

thinking basicaly but the best way to have subalgo seem to be CCMINER , the look like have better implementation for it

Thank you for your efforts. - Dev fee lowered to 1,5%
I would like to know exactly how Devfee works? Does it mine to Dev 1 minute every hour? Or is it only mine to Dev when it's turned on at first time until we change the pool? Or in some other way? Thanks! Hello , please had some time to read, devfee was mining 54sec/hour , if i'm right with last updates it's mining 108 secondes / 2 Hours

I am pretty sure it's indeed the pic on each mining board that needs to be reprogrammed. Very annoying. What you can try: https://shop.bitmain.com/support.htm?pid=007201604120945219855QObfk20066Cflash this image to a micro sd card (with win32diskimager) and boot that image. Then check the kernel log. Then flash again the l3 image from there and see if it helps. It might force flashing the pic's on the hashing boards. will try to do that tomorrow , but there is no intruction inside the .zip will copy the .img to SD with diskimager. Then copy/paste L3+ firmware inside SD ... hope i'm right with steps and miner will autoboot from SD

did btg are still bad to mine ? profit calc is on the moon compared to what is it for real when i test it i had 0.035~ from a day intead of 0.9 /day from profit calc estimation different pool got same bad result

Hence only mines x11 coins...
Well hopefully we can get groestl X11 Algos blake, bmw, groestl, jh, keccak, skein, luffa, cubehash, shavite, simd, echo stop dream with groestl(GRS) , seem i never tell that enough , they will change algo because of asic coming on their blockchain , they are serious people i don't know if Blissz have clue to get subalgo , but a good fork for some X11 coin be good to, as network is in fire

sorry for the issue in the first upload, this should solve the issues. Thanks for the fast reaction time
Everybody that already "work" on the first uploaded 20/11 version, please upgrade again, as you won't be able to adjust the pools / fan speeds
working nice now

yep changing fans and pool setting to
I'm on it Which tool do you use to unpack initramfs.bin.sd in windows 10? man stop asking question to remove the fee & else , you are spotted , i cant understand why you have again answers.

how many errors/hour are acceptable? I´m always getting errors at all frequencies and all voltages.
HW errors: I would say max 10 an hour is ok. Discarded shares: I get them all the time, but don't bother looking at them. Rejected shared: below 1% Ok thanks!. In the new version, when click "Apply".... nothing applies, i've started at 25% fan speed and 400mhz and I can't change the fan speed, all the chips at 90º degrees, i had to power off the machine and install the original version to set it a 70% and then install your firmware again. After a few tests nothing changes clicking apply, be careful with that. Thank you for the feedback. Did you clear your browser cache? Yes, first i've tried to CTRL+F5 to reload the website, that will be enough but i've tried cleaning cache, nothing changes. Thanks for your great work. strange stuff, I flashed back to stock and upgraded, but don't see the issue. Can you tell me step by step what you do and what is working / what is not. Thank you! edit: nevermind I see the issue. The advanced page is ok, but changing the fan doesn't work. Thank you for the fast response! I am going to fix it yep changing fans and pool setting to

have an issue , i set 25% before flash , seem to can't change it to lower then, webpage locked to "Waiting for changes to be applied..." Seem to be global miner general configuration page anyone same ? try to change pool or just fan speed

Look if Baikal can do it I'm pretty sure the D3's can do it.... Watching this thread very closely.
Your an idiot. Baikal sells a Field Programmable Gate Array. Spartan FPGA or anything like that. You are an idiot. Just because one company can do it doesn't mean another could. That is like say you can drive a 18 wheeler like you can drive a boat. They both move you but one doesn't work in the other since it is not designed to do so. I have got a new non standard answer from Bitmain. The Antminer D3 has been designed and tested to mine DASH only. It can be used to mine other X11 coins as well but we cannot guarantee the performance or efficiency of the D3 miner when used to mine other X11 coins than DASH. Best regards, Joy Bitmain Always order products directly from our website: www.bitmain.com"Solved" means we replied - we still work on your issue until it is resolved. They just not garantee the performace, so they work on it. Other x11 coins X11 aka Dash (Darkcoin) StartCoin CannabisCoin SmartCoin ConspiracyCoin Europecoin GiveCoin HashCoin LimeXcoin Logicoin Muniti Nyancoin Quebecoin XCurrency The only benefit from this firmware is for the thread creator taking a fee. It does nothing you can't do already. cant do ? so people are dumb , cause they dont share knowlege , cause it s impossible to find a tutorial -> how to set the fan down at : startup, switch pool , change setting in miner , etc ... and that the basic we need that for other antminer , l3+, s9 etc.... i know a bit linux and i try to send cat in ssh with putty but this not result with usually cat editor , you just can see the text file anyway blissz deserve fee for work and time, everyone are free dont agree and not using it.

Is it confirmed that the D3 can do other Algos? If so are the speed known?

Had the same issue, you have to write the PIC controller manually, extracting the working hexa file from a working hashboard, needs to be done with special chip reader tools.
hi thanks for answers how can i do that if boards are not recognized ? if you have that error ? may be you have file and how to ? yeah i flash before have that , may be something went wrong. i changed control board , nothing better i have only blackcat usb at this time capable to flash , but its for jtag

at least they are not denying the possibility of usage of another algo but also they dont promise anything So all we need is , qualified developers who is capable of this work
no they said , other x11 coins , not other algo , but we hope this is possible for sure. bitmain is useless as everytime.

i restart few time , at same frequency same board has ssometimes lot of error , in other time no and it it an other board .?.. make no sense. curious to see with mhz per board results @cougarcxt : time is for D3 actually , i will have one s9 to soon , and for sure i would love to find the way like blissz did , only for fans trick

Actually I don't have knowledge of programming but if I would done that I was lock each firmware to the serial numbers. And I would sell it for each unit.So if you have 5 unit you need to buy 5 licence . No ones firmware could work for other units. As a miner I also prefer to pay one time payment, incase of profit share. I know mining world not working like this but I am only share my thought. anyway, that is not a big issue , both methods can be use. The big thing is D3 need to be profitable at once. no profit means , there will be no miners , no one pays dev fee yep i undertood your way and i totaly agree with you, because you are thinking dev deserve profit. But if i'm right, for checking miner and validate firmware you need rent server run everytime , meaning pay for it everytime to
