We go together
Like rama lama lama ka dinga da dinga dong
Remembered forever
As shoo-bop sha wadda wadda yippity boom de boom
Chang chang changitty chang sha-bop
That's the way it should be
Wah-oooh, yeah!
We're one of a kind
Like dip da-dip da-dip doo-wop da doo-bee doo
Our names are signed
Boogedy boogedy boogedy boogedy
Shooby doo-wop she-bop
Chang chang changitty chang sha-bop
We'll always be like one, wa-wa-wa-one

Does anyone actually like this Kamala Harris? Not the libs, not the right, so ...?

Kamala Harris is the toughest prosecutor in the US. Half the population of people in jail have her to thank for it.

Democrats love police that are tough on crime.

Yes, but... I have quite a few Democrat acquaintances, and some former ones, who initially liked and voted for Obama because he was a well-spoken former lawyer, only to become disenchanted with him later on.

They thought he ended up being nothing more than a silver-tongued "Slick Willy" who spoke really eloquently, but ultimately just said a bunch of gibberish nonsense that sounded good to the public, and never really followed through on many of his promises.

That's a lawyer for you. I doubt that she would be any different as VP. Although, what do VPs do anyway?

Well if your name was Dick Cheney, you did everything the president had responsiblity for except for blasting your hunting partner in the face with bird shot (which is not exclusively in the domain of Presidential duties).

In the UK you could get 6-7% on a normal savings account without heavy conditions all day long up until 2008. I used to pay the rent on my flat from interest and still had plenty left over. Now that idea is laughable. And 1% will be offered by a tiny fraction of joints today and will likely require it to be locked up for a period of time.

That's an above-average return. The 2000's were more in the 4-5% range.

gentlemand is an above-average individual who commands higher-than-average interest by virtue of being.

Just my 25 öre on the mask thing.
where I live (Sweden) there is no law requiring you to wear a mask, and nobody does.

#8 in the world in Deaths Per Capita. Hardly a shining example of how to save lives.

I think in order to define success we need to first define a goal. If Sweden's health care system isn't overwhelmed, their actions on Covid have been successful.  Preventing all deaths is unrealistic.

These people have no idea about bitcoin...wooden scrip? Not sure how it works. Maybe, like a barter?
Some city printed a carton, SAYS that it is worth the number of $$ printed on it. Whaaat?
On the other hand, if locals believe that it does, who is there to say that it doesn't (for local purchases).

https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2020-08-07/a-depression-era-idea-gets-a-new-look-local-money

Wow!  Hey, I wonder what would happen if someone were to create a digital currency pegged to the US dollar and tried to use it as a means of exchange?  Roll Eyes

edit: Could these wooden plaques function as a security?  Tongue
2609  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How is it possible to create custom Bitcoin addresses like these? on: August 07, 2020, 01:27:14 AM
I posted a tutorial a while ago on how to make these here:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=90982.msg46771759#msg46771759

but you wont have the private key so they cant be used except to burn your coin.

edit: These are valid Bitcoin addresses but you can only send to them.  You can't spend the coins in those addresses since you wont have the private key.

I saw this in the thread though... ?

"These arrests/cases have all happened over the last year or two, not the last 24 hours. "

https://twitter.com/SubtleBodhi/status/1290500293893844997

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Neil_M._Cohen

2008 for that one. Plenty more where that came from.

It's interesting that most of the political figures mentioned in the above Twitter thread are republicans.

It reminded me of a documentary I once watched, where it was mentioned that a US cable TV survey revealed that the overwhelming majority of hardcore adult channel subscriptions came from neighborhoods occupied by predominantly republican, church-going families.

An interesting correlation...

correlation to what?  Stupidity?  Free porn is plentiful on the internet - why would anyone pay for a cable subscription?

I believe the hacker discovered his email address simply by clicking on his profile & discovering the email there & the rest is history.

But what does this have to do with their email getting hacked?

While it's wise not to reveal your email when not needed - revealing your Email address isn't a direct threat to its security.

Email addresses should be hidden for privacy rather than security, Email addresses are not meant to stay private or secretly buried in your back yard, they are a just like your public key in bitcoin, your duty is PROTECT the private key/ password.

Every day a few websites get hacked and hackers obtain all sort of email addresses from their databases, the chances that at least 1 hacker knows your Email address are pretty HIGH, so hiding them doesn't do much if they are not secured enough, honestly, with today's security's feature it's freaking hard to gain access to an Email address which is "mildly" secured if you use

1- A strong password
2- Multi-factor authentication
3- Different emails for different purposes

Also DO NOT

1- Use a similar email password to sing-up to any forum/website.
2- Don't use unkown email provider.

I think it is a direct thread in that it enables spear phishing.
People can read your posts and use that information to tailor an e-mail to you personally.  If it looks familiar enough and your guard is down, you'll end up being pwned.

People can use PMs to contact you here and if you really want to, you can give individuals your e-mail address as required.

Yes, for example, this gave me a pause:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HuMbRBTZhCY

At first, I was quite skeptical, but facts presented in the video were confirmed when I read this:

https://www.pnas.org/content/117/15/8218

They are not talking about experience with current vaccines in development, but rather vaccines against SARS, etc.

Quote
Some animals or people who received the vaccine and were later exposed to the virus developed more severe disease than those who had not been vaccinated.

The point is, COVID vaccines would differ, but we absolutely need animal testing of response to live virus before getting vaccinated with a particular vaccine.
Don't reject all vaccines, but beware that SOME may cause the opposite effect-that's the gist of the video message, I guess.

Trying to discredit something before it is even out isn't a good sign, though.

And how do you ethically expose someone (hundreds of someones) to the virus to test your vaccine ?

You only use people from the board of directors of the company who produced the vaccine?

first of all is not a scam.
how did you hacked my site?

Wait.  Answer me first - Why are you asking people to enter their private keys?

okay fine im naive. im gonna change to ADDRESS + SIGNATURE authentication.
im just mad and in shock on how did top up your address.
did you try to send some of your fake to an address?

Well I can't trust that.  You seem to know enough to ask for a private key which converted to a proper P2SH address.

i fully understand your concern.
im gonna switch as i said to an address + sig login. so the user won't have doubts.
just one question! how did you hacked my website i don't understand?
i validate every input...

Well the thing is you don't validate every input.  IF you PM me the code,  I'll tell you exactly where you went wrong.

Remember guys, Bitcoin can't always go up, there needs to period of reprieve where support levels can form and momentum can resume. Going too high too fast can lead to a dramatic crash when shit hits the fan.

Obviously, you're new to Bitcoin. I was told that when bitcoin hit $10. I was told that when bitcoin hit $100. I was told that when bitcoin hit $1000. I hope you have not sold all your bitcoins just because "Bitcoin can't always go up"...
