That last one is the real area the things shines.  Muun is a 2of2 multisig wallet.  You hold BOTH keys, and control them both.  But only ONE of them is ever on your phone.  Muun provides the service of cosigning your spends. But they only have one key.  This means if someone gets your phone?  They can't get your bitcoin.  You can make 3 different kinds of backups.

I don't know anything about Muun, but would it be possible to set up the wallet as 2 of 3 instead of 2 of 2 multisig? The last key can also be your own personal backup and 2 of 3 takes up the same space as 2 of 2 when spending and using only 2 keys.

*edit* enjoying my new hat with laser eyes.

Looking good Dabs!  You've got that laser focus now Smiley

Who has an extra tin-foil hat lying around?  I need it.

Can I get a hat with laser eyes? I'll trade you some tin foil... (but these days, they use aluminum, not tin.)

Deal!  Aluminum will be fine Smiley

edit: added one with tiny laser eyes for the faceless Dabs.

In what can only considered to be good news, Circle K (US convenience stores mostly in the S and SW USA) will soon be hosting thousands of Bitcoin Depot BTMs:

I can only hope that someone in this business can finally find a model that does not rape the buyer at the ATM.  I would think you would have much more purchases when the spread is not so huge that the buyer is giving up more than 20%.

So far, in my opinion, that has been the problem with Bitcoin ATMs.

I assume the one in El Zonte is an exception, as well as whichever one our Canadian guitar slinger has famously used for so long.

The Toyko 2020 Olympic Games are starting off with a somber note as attendance remains restricted due to covid fears

Considering it's the summer of 2021 now, they were already doomed to fail as the 2020 Olympics.    See below in collage format how they even saved all the politically correct sackings and resignations for news cycles this year even though the games were slated and organized for 2020.  Surely they knew about these events that happened in at least 2 of the cases over 20 years ago more than a day before the delayed games were about to begin.  What the actual fuck is this really about?   Who has an extra tin-foil hat lying around?  I need it.

Wasn't there a reference to some kind of China dam news?  That's what I was referring to.

EDIT: Also, holy crap am I happy with my daily DCA over the last little while. Almost a month completely sober now as well. Crazy times.

Congrats on everything; especially the sobriety!  Keep it up 👍  would be nice to see pics of the completed ranch but obviously opsec concerns would prevent that.  Maybe an artist's rendition in stick figure form?

Bitcoin will reach $75k in September here’s how

I could have stopped chatbuddy after two but wanted to see who else is monitoring this and yes it’s you!!

 Somewhere over the rainbow
Way up high
There's a land that I heard of
Once in a lullaby

Someday I'll wish upon a star
And wake where Ichimoku clouds are far
Behind me
Where troubles melt like lemon drops
Away above green dildo tops
That's where you'll find me...

I was at a community pool the other day getting some natural vitamin D when I overheard an elderly lady ask how deep it was.  A man who was standing chest deep in the water said, "Well, I'm six two..."
Suddenly I hear a little girls voice yelling across the pool, "Daddy! You're not six!!"

It reminded me of how yesterday became Phil_S's birthday.  Hope it was a good one Phil!

At least we won't be hearing FUD about earth's pending lack of fresh water for a couple of news cycles.

I am new to the wall observer thread and I thought of something that could be fun as an introduction. You guys can decide when I next sell my Bitcoin. I will be reinvesting do not worry! Give me a number at which I should sell at and I will then reinvest when the next dip comes.

What you have is the superior asset and it's going up forever, Laura.

Space Cowboys ... That was a decent movie.

Yes..I liked that movie as well..thought it a good role for Daniel Craig      Think there was a couple of sequels...maybe without Craig...but I havent seen em

youre thinking of Cowboys and Aliens, different movie. both were fun.

@jjg  I thought they preferred the title of Wizards rather than Sorcerers

Wizards.. another cool movie.

Bitcoin is starting to feel like a coiled spring. Bears have gotten some balls to short these levels and the big boys are accumulating. I don’t think we’ve seen the end yet. One more quick dive down might be helpful in the long run to close out some leveraged longs before taking the next step, but a flash downward met with heavy buying would be a signal to me that $100K+ is still in the cards for 2021.

1639  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: July 18, 2021, 01:56:57 AM
I assume this is fake as far as "proof of destruction" goes, but you never really know with China.

Looks photoshopped to me but we need some expert's opinion... xhomer?  Roll Eyes

... it's real. Some gang in Malayasia was stealing electricity to mine bitcoins (~$2million) so the local police chief decided to set an example by steam-rolling the bitcoin mining equipment.

... kind of an idiot considering he could have sold them to recover losses for the electricity company or even used them to mine some of the money back

The article said they also "razed" 3 homes that were used in the operation.  That'll learn those criminals.
