Now it should be 3 devices in Russia Received mine box today, flashed and it's already calculating hashes at amazing speed (i can't believe it myself even when all is working and device is near me). Soon probably need to move it in other place. congratulations it seems we may only need another 100 to go perhaps by the 26th of March.

Do not be surprised of this scam.
here, FTFY thanks I'm using speech recognition on the Samsung Galaxy Note 2. I'm just kidding, it was that you're calling it very well crafted scam. I don't think it's very well crafted. I think it's obvious. this is the first type of scam that I've seen that puts a fake business and address in different areas of the world. it's been ran from the Western Hemisphere is being marketed as being located somewhere in the eastern hemisphere. It's just unfortunate that this project turned out to be a scam. It would have been wonderful to have those located in Europe an option that is local.

I have some money left...I am thinking to buy one. You're sure is a scam?
will here are some fun facts. as you know A typical Hungarian work day begins at 8 and ends at 5. the problem is that the webpage only gets updated during mountain and Pacific Standard Time. And is usually only after 7 or 8 pm. either this operation is nocturnal or is being ran from somewhere in the Western Hemisphere. Granted this could just be on outsourcing of a service. My question to you is have you ever gotten anyone to answer the phone that they set up during a typical Hungarian work day? my answer to you is No! Do not be surprised of this very well crafted scam. One can speculate what motivates the scam attempt. perhaps they wish to buy Avalon units but are having a hard time raising funds. so they are hoping that you're hard earned monies will be used to help purchase their Avalon orders for their personal use.

Well, I have been procrastinating this post because I was slightly embarrassed to admit I did place a order early on in this ruse. Someone from the Gmail " primeasic@gmail.com" account acknowledged receipt of my order, and stated I would be receiving a shipping confirmation on Monday May 11 2013. Of course, no email was received. A few days later I sent a inquiry and of course I did not get a response. Nothing has been heard since. Of course I did consider this could be a scam prior to my order, but I took a gamble. I can confirm for all, it is a 100% complete scam. Everyone who did the previous due diligence was correct; there are no ASIC's here. Oh well, a fool and his precious btc were parted. Thank you community for all your skepticism. Feel free to point and laugh at me now. he's is trying to claim that we are the reason why there are no local pickups any more. it seems the photos are back up. his lies makes it sound believable. This scammer made no efforts to validate Software supposedly used on Claimed product. he states he has 50 units left. But no effort has been made to try to validate his claims. this includes any professional reply for sincere request for common business information that can be validated. you should only expect replies if you insist on being the next victim.this thread should be moved to the scam area. like any good swindler he plays on the fears that you will miss out on an opportunity of a lifetime.presently states that he will not ship anything until he gets all the orders in first.

...annnnd it's paid for itself, USD-wise. 33 BTC earned in just 91 hours. A bit more to go to break-even BTC-wise yet. Well, I just earned 50+ BTC last night solo mining. What did you use... Oh and congrats...

Any idea how high the first batch order numbers go?
I can tell you that I was one of the very first batch one, part two orders. The second order was placed when there was about half remaining (it was maybe when it said qty was 50 or so remaining). However, I know that a lot of people got orders in the 700's and 800's, but I think that these were orders made after the initial batch postings (where they identified all the non-paying buyers). My guess is that batch one, part two order numbers probably don't exceed 200000450. (This is assuming their numbering was progressive, but I'd say it was because of the time frame and units sold before my first and second order). non paid orders were put back up for sale and for my knowledge the last number was 200000864

Basic math skills
This is correct. If you add the skills to find process and evaluate information to it you are set. For example someone considering starting now should know what miming hardware exists and in what quantity. Other things you need to be on top of include: Exchange rates, is your plan plausible if they fall a third. Being a pessimist when estimating things helps. if your going long on your crypto currency of choice. then try not to be ultra conservative. as recent events have shown going long would have given greater return.

|
|
... What does it take currently to make mining profitable?
Source out hardware that is cheap preferably used in good condition. Try to trade up you're hardware with minimal cost. This involves you staying ahead of future hardware trends. Next have them operating at under clock setting that will give the best return. and remember to keep your overhead cost low. oh and yes use a spreadsheet and have a good plan.

PS: when temp3 is about 50 C, the chip die is only about 65C, completely no problem. not necessary to do too hard, we already over-engineered it for you.
it's good to hear that care and attention was put into the design the Avalon housing. thank you for providing those details

That's what it takes to make it look legit

I'm pretty sure only one at this point. He used Paypal and counts on buyer's protection (I wouldn't). Everyone else is making orders and hoping that this is legit. That was me. But I already posted that I canceled my order via email and got my money back already. in my opinion you made the right choice.

I received and email where PrimeAsic told me that local pick up is not possible. Scam level raised to 100%
Summary: - Anonymous guy appears from nowhere - He claims to have devices that even a company with several million dollars can't produce in a timely manner. On top of that he claims to have paid the whole thing from his own pocket - He can handle the whole process of creating a bitcoin ASIC miner (500 of them) but can't answer emails, answer forum questions or design a proper website - He uses fake address, fake company, fake phone number - No proof of other than one unit (amateur photo) - Units can be delivered to customer or customer can pick them up by himself. No money is needed in advance - People make orders and some even sent money to them... - Local pick up is not possible anymore
Case closed
What's ironic is that a similar list--ten times longer--applied to Avalon, yet they delivered. I had no reservations when ordering from Avalon first batch. the only problem I faced with AVALON was the order process. The persons involved in that project are highly skilled and passionate about what they do.

I got this email from them this morning. from "primeASIC" Hi! I'm sorry but due to so many request local pickup has been closed. Let me know if you still need your miners via the postal service. Thanks! as you know I was 1 of the first to request local pickup or the request to validate their product.

To quote the late (late, late) Thomas Tusser: Non-poetic translation: A fool and his money are soon parted
That is the phrase that comes to mind when I witness people throwing caution to the wind and playing into the hands of the swindler. I have yet to receive a reply for my request to have hands on access in order to validate the claims made by "primeASIC" regarding their hardware.
