I can't log in, sort of. Your site will take my password and accept it but clicking on any other link like stats page will tell me login/password doesn't match any of your records.

Are you hacked? I haven't received any weird emails regarding email change or wallet change.

I've been doing a few updates to logging for brute force attacks through the various vectors that are under constant 24/7 attack (logins, password resets, etc.).  Are you still seeing the error?
seems after I log in successfully the next link i follow asks me to authenticate.

an example is after logging in going to pplsns stats, this is the error that comes up.

Code:
The username/password combination you entered did not match any of our records.d

Edit: even resetting miner status gives the same error and logs out the session.

Edit2: using https://btcguild.com now does not login and just gives the same error.

SOLVED! Smiley

the biggest problem is that we had 3 major crashes, two only this year, this might push away some people were willing to invest.

I don't feel that what we have seen these days is a major crash.
I think this crash has only just begun. We're in a bull trap in a bear trap in a bull trap in a crash in a bull market!

Just don't be the guy looking in from the side lines as btc value crashes to the moon on its way to a new ATH

You'd think the opposite would be true. After surviving several previous crashes, including the major ones in Jun 2011 and Apr 2013, people should realize that Bitcoin always bounces back stronger than ever.

Most are waiting on sunday to go back in.

This is a bulltrap. Don't try to catch the knife above $200.

Nice!

Can't wait.

How else can we get more coins. Taking advantage of market sentiment is an art.

Buy them?
Earn them for a service/good?

I find those are great. However if you factor in the btc value today. Those who have invested in service oriented btc project's have underperformed compared to those that just buy and hold btc.

Anybody find it VERY interesting that BTCChina is more resistant to the downtrend and at a fairly higher price than the other exchanges.

Seems like a disconnect to me. If this rally is predicated on China's bitcoin policies, then why are the chinese less bearish right now?

It's interesting, noticed it earlier.

All I can think of is that the China news gave us the pop that we all wanted, sooner we crashed the sooner we get back to break 2k.

Edit: someone suggested BTChina may have temporarily suspended some transactions until verifications are processed?

What do you guys feel about the volume of buying over sat post 5am-6amest so far.. It's looking healthier for buy support on the north american exchanges as well.

Bearstamp seems most skiddish still

Everyone here is going to tell you that the price is going down until they close their shorts or re-entry positions.  When the price is going down, get back to the fundamentals and the actual numbers.  Some bears took advantage of the doom and gloom they were able to post all around and got a bunch of inexperienced traders to leave their original positions at far greater losses, there will be some good natured people spreading this doom and gloom now to further their own positions now that they got caught with their shorts down.  Someone is dropping ~100 coins every 10 minutes for the past 4 hours now in an attempt to cause a second wave of panic when the only reason the panic started in the first place was because of two well timed 5,000 coin drops that have since re-entered.. their are some very big coin holders in here that would love more people to give in to the illusion of the lower entry greed.  The normal uptalkers right now are busy starring at charts while the normal downtalkers are attempting to take advantage of the lack of confidence instilled.  Patience in your friend.

How else can we get more coins. Taking advantage of market sentiment is an art.
1709  Economy / Speculation / Re: China banned bitcoin. When will it crash? Win 0.1 BTC on: December 07, 2013, 05:51:30 PM
Not even the Great Firewall of China can stop bitcoin, Just because Chinese financial institutions have Supposesdly "banned" bitcoin, doesn't mean that the chinese populous will stop using it, I think the only think that could cause that would be if it became illegal to have bitcoins

CHINA DID NOT BAN BITCOIN, They declaired it as "not a currency" and therefore finnacial instituions in china are Not Allowed to accept it as currency.
Bitcoins ARE NOT illicit/illegal in china in any way shape or form.

Read the headlines carefully "China Bans Financial Companies From Bitcoin Transactions"
Where the HELL does it state that bitcoins are banned?
"the People’s Bank of China said it isn’t a currency with “real meaning” and doesn’t have the same legal status. The public is free to participate in Internet transactions provided they take on the risk themselves, it said. "

Be informed.

Seems cavirtex.com new trading platform is broken.

Perhaps a sad attempt at high volume trading.....

I suppose this is "the" way to scare off traders.

1713  Economy / Speculation / Re: Baidu on: December 06, 2013, 03:57:46 PM
Very interesting. This will have negative implications on the bitcoin ecosystem BUT, rest assured, the weak ones are being shaken.

For the rest of us, $1 BTC is fine. Or even litecoin, but I don't see it gaining that much traction to be recognized and accepted.

For now it seems china considers Bitcoin to be a commodity due to the deflationary nature vs fiat.
1714  Economy / Speculation / Re: China just made Bitcoin pretty useless within China on: December 06, 2013, 06:04:05 AM
Government regulation cannot stop Bitcoin, it will either learn to benefit from Bitcoin or be undermined by it. The crypto industry will go to the jurisdictions that understand this, and others will get left behind. The question isn't whether this hurts Bitcoin, it's whether it hurts China.

People are still holding on to these delusions.  Amazing.  I guess without any banks or merchants willing to touch it, Bitcoin would just thrive.   Roll Eyes  Yes, regulations can do exactly that.  Please join reality...it's nice here.

Something to remember. People are fickle, greedy, selfish and fearful. If they want a change then you know that governments and "profit" driven institutions will pander to the masses.

As far as monetary policy and global reserve currency, we are due to a shift soon.
1715  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] US/North American Bitfury sales now open ***full prototype pics*** on: December 06, 2013, 04:55:28 AM
I think we are trying to offer hardware at a price that will support fast ROI - 2 months if prices hold up, less if prices continue to climb.  Those that complained about prices back in September/October got very quiet as BTC skyrocketed.  This is great - we cheer for our customers who had the courage to pre-order with us and now reap the benefit!

At this time, the only pre-order-able offer from me is going to be reels (deliver mid-late February) at $5/chip, or full mines (minimum 250TH, contact me if you are interested).  I will not be able to provide CC processing for chips by the reel, sorry.  Oh - after the debacle of last minute cancellations on reels, I won't be offering a refund policy on them.  They are Non Cancel - Non Return items.

I plan to turn on sales of H-cards tomorrow.  Remember, V1 H-cards will take a bit longer to get, but our manufacturer is very fast.  I will sell as many of those as you guys demand.  I do have some V1-V2 M-boards also, so I can offer some old-style full rigs.  Note that I am not planning on opening sales for full new rigs just yet - though it may happen.  The main intention is to support our V1 & V3 rig customers.  New style H-cards (marked V2.2) can ship immediately and are not pre-mined.

I'll turn on sales for USB miners maybe by this weekend, so you can buy them for stocking stuffers Smiley

There's also been a fair bit of demand for faulty fix-it-yourself cards.  I think I'll find a way to sell those, as I have a few hundred sitting in boxes.

Best,
Dave

Dave,

Thank you for that detailed update.

Seems sales have stalled for a bit.

Down to there are only 866/1500 Neptunes
1717  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Swedish ASIC miner company kncminer.com on: December 05, 2013, 02:04:02 AM
Ok I can finally post! I've been lurking for a long time, gpu mining a year ago small scale. I just got one of the november jupiters I ordered and it fired right up working great. Avg hash rate in the interface is 660, but I'm getting an average of 10% hw errors. Seems way too high. I've been playing around with making the unit warmer (ambient temp is around 40) but all that did was cause a few of the vrms to have a "fault 4". Max temp on two of the asics was 70c. After resetting the machine and removing the covers that were keeping airflow down, it is still averaging 650-660 with 10% errors. There are only a few cores that get turned off and on occasionally. Never more than 15 cores off total across all the boards. Avg hashrate at my pool is showing near 600, which would be right for 660 - 10%.

Any ideas what I can do to improve it? Do I just need to wait for the knc tuning fw to be released for the Nov units?
Thanks!

BTW. After reading this board for a long time, and wading through all the bickering nonsense that trolls keep saying in this thread, KNC is obviously the only company doing the job right. I waited a long time to get involved in ASICs, but came close to ordering from BFL a few times. I'm glad I didn't. Maybe I would have received a unit by now, but it would be 50gh for about what I spent on each 660 gh jupiter. Cointerra is still a bust, hashfast is still a bust. Why don't the trolls and kids just get out of this thread and get a life Smiley  I thought I'd be getting 450-500 gh miners when I ordered them less than a month ago, instead I get 660 and it is a complete unit that fired up in less than five minutes after UPS came.  I'm thinking about selling one of these to purchase a Neptune (or two) because I have a strong feeling that KNC will deliver those on time in a few months, with a lot more power than advertised.

My orders started  in the 9900s, and started arriving today, tracking numbers received monday.

Neptune units for order are down to there are only 980/1500

global hashrate is  increased

maybe this week increased more

This was to be expected with the November batch of Jupiter's.
