Well they managed to sell out Today!

Neptunes 0/1200 Left.
1625  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Swedish ASIC miner company kncminer.com on: December 14, 2013, 12:01:10 AM
Neptunes are down to 32/1200 left up for sell.

Seems they will have sold out 1200 x 12,999.00 = WOW

so they have more that what is needed to cover NRE cost.

And that does not even factor in Batch 1 1200 units at 10k each

Bitcoin, why u do this to me?  Grin

Welcome to the club.  Grin Please take a seat in one of the many dark corners. Please ignore quiet sobs coming from the other members.

I haven't accepted my losses, though, so I am all fiat still, trading a little on the ebb-and-flow inbetween.

I've lost 4.5k and it's now on the level I would be 1-1.5k at loss.

But fuck it, that's why it is fun, there's still lot more good moments than bad Cheesy

Guys. If I had just hold all the time I would be a multi millionaire, in dollars, today. Just saying.

Not true. Edit: My bad I read Sold... Not hold... Sorry.
Your statement is true. If you hold then exit at the peak then yes.

Any miner who sells their mined coins daily will have made less then 20% of the miners that held and sold anywhere close to $1000usd today.

And those miners making 1btc today if they hold and sell when the ATH is 10k USD will be ahead of a miner who sold this years worth of mining at $1000

Edit: this is not the case if BTC price drops to 100 and the network difficulty stays at this level.

1631  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin a currency or merely a platform for transactions in other currencies? on: December 12, 2013, 03:03:40 PM
Ernst & Young have come out saying that Bitcoin shouldn't be viewed as a currency and is merely a platform for enabling microtransactions and e-commerce payments.

Opinions? I am struggling to understand how it can operate as a means of transferring money without being money itself? Unless they are more implying it WON'T be a currency rather than it can't be.

Bitcoin has many uses.

What they are effectivly saying is eventualy 1btc will give its holder the privilage to transfer so much fiat/securitys/assets/commodities on the bitcoin network.

This approach can peg 1btc value at over 1Billion usd considering the amount of decimal places 1BTC has

What's with this another pre-order crap?!
We have all (first batch buyers) helped KnC startup with their business and it is now up and running like a train.
Now they treat their customers like shit and put up another pre-order BS!

And the big question is when are they going to deliver the Neptune?
They say Q1/Q2. Looking back to their original promise "before September" and then "all payed order before 15th of October", which obviously they have never made it.
Maybe when lucky the first unit will be shipped at end of June 2014?

I just hate people who can't keep their words! Angry
Anyway, couldn't be worse than BFL....  Roll Eyes

Well its selling only 118 left

Hi all,

Big noob here...

Please tell me that you've done at least a few hours worth of research on wallet security!

If not, here are some keywords.

Offline wallet. Cold wallet. Offline storage. Paper wallet. Armory.

"delete all Bitcoin apps (bar the wallet) from my phone"

Thats a big no no.

Please use Armory at least for a copy of your wallet.

use a safe and "offline" Asus netbook or something.

Ask your papi what he did to secure his wallet. Maybe you can take a page out of his book.

Oh right..  here is their website.

No https:// no thanks!

If you want to take a sensible risk then order from those that work with the community members including mining software teams.

1637  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Which preorder? KNC 3TH Neptune VS CoinTerra 2TH TerraMiner IV on: December 11, 2013, 10:33:29 PM
All 3 look promising.

If you are able too get 1 from all 3.

Diversify your mining horizon to mitigate risk.
