2601  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2019 Cricket World Cup - Discussion & Analysis on: June 23, 2019, 02:34:54 PM
This is a DO or DIE for Pakistan. If Pakistan win this match, then the hope is still alive but a lost today will end the world cup dream for Pakistan.

I wonder if they ever even dream of it  Cheesy
I think Pakistan will win this match easily. South Africa's recent performance is worse, Pakistan is well ahead of them. But they will not be able to qualify for Semi maybe, because almost 4 teams are showing their strength.

2 teams playing today for the pride and SA would just be unhappy the way they have played cricket this time in the WC and as a result are out of the WC. Pakistan is batting at 171/3 in 34 overs and should target to reach 320+ so that they can put pressure on SA.

Pakistani batting line done good job even they are short of 20 to 25 runs but bowlers give them some good start as Aamir sent Amla back in his first over lets see what is response from others in remaining match.

This would be a compensation win for Pakistan. Pakistan has good batsmen as well as bowlers but they still has to devise a team. A couple of bowlers and a couple of batsmen won't make you win tournaments. Md Amir is a gem for Pakistan but with limited exposure and poor performance of the team, he won't be able to have a fame and name he deserves.
2602  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2019 Cricket World Cup - Discussion & Analysis on: June 21, 2019, 06:35:52 PM
Shocked that England lost this match. It was still looking possible for England after they lost Root but after Butler, the team just kept losing wickets. Awesome match in WC where we can see than a team can even defend a low score like 232 whereas other teams struggle in defending 300+ scores. I still don't see SL in top 4 but now anything is possible.

That is really unfortunate for the English team and the gamblers. I was too sure for England to win that I placed a bet on 1.09 odds. That's really stupid thing to do.
The odds on Sri Lanka were well above 20, anyone who have placed a bet on Sri Lanka are now rich.
2603  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is the best exchange for IEO? on: June 21, 2019, 01:44:15 PM
Our team has finished ICO stage and now we need to choose exchange to be listed for IEO. Now almost all large and medium exchanges offer their launchpads and we are wondering what is the best exchange for IEO launch at a fair price. What do you think where are more chances to raise hard cap?

Definitely Binance is the choice of exchange when it comes to IEO. Binance has a team of experts that seriously research over the feasibility and possibilities of the project before actually listing them. Binance has made a different standard in the crypto market and they'll try their best to save their name. Unlike other exchanges, Binance just doesn't haphazardly list a project in it's launchpad. That's why they have no fixed schedule and the IEO are rare in the platform.
2604  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How safe is Tether.to/USDT? on: June 21, 2019, 02:42:02 AM
Tether is a stablecoin from bitfinex exchange. They are backed up by the same amount of USD reserve. There were some accusations and problems in its accounting but now I believe everything is settled. They proved they do hold the proper amount to insure the price of the token and Tether is one of the most legit centralized stablecoin to trade with.
2605  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: New coins – GRAM, LIBRA, LAW etc. What is the most promising one? on: June 20, 2019, 04:26:12 PM
Let’s talk about that new rising altcoins. GRAM, LIBRA  - well all know them. LAW impressed me a lot with so big demand, some billions of them were swapped from SNTR in an hours. I know some another examples of very promising coins. But what to buy? Or just all of them?

All of them are promising coins but they are of different league.
Libra would be a stable coin, a coin we all be using for trading our crypto, taking a ride or buying a coffee.
GRAM was a lot more promise but very less delivered. A totally anonymous blockchain based communication is really awesome even if we need to wait.
2606  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: how to buy Facebook LIBRA on: June 20, 2019, 04:23:50 PM
i am planning to invest in facebook libra, that will be huge potential coin ever , definitely i am planning to invest. please let me know how to invest that one?

visa, uber, paypal ,master ,ebay back up this coin

Facebook Libra coin would be a stable coin. So, there's nothing here to invest on. As it Libra would not be backed by a single fiat and depend on a lot of things. Libra could be much more stable than any fiat possible. They would be a good coin to use for transacting around the world. There are no benefits for buying it early or late.
2607  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Would you borrow in cryptocurrency? on: June 20, 2019, 04:02:39 PM
I am interested in opinions about borrowing in cryptocurrency.
If a cryptocurrency will have low price volatility, then would you borrow in that token?

If not please tell why?

I have done it (with volatile crypto) and regretted it. You'd be luck if the price decrease but if it did increase, you might be paying twice of what you've taken after a few months.
But with the emergence of Stablecoins, it's been easier to take and give loans based on the stable coins. You can be sure about the price and get a better rate than what you would have got from the bank.
2608  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Copa América 2019 Discussion Thread & Prediction Pool (registration closed) on: June 20, 2019, 04:00:12 PM

Granted, I don't think that is the case with Argentina, they have just lost all the confidence and disregarded most of the of the modern football principals. I saw a picture on the twitter when Messi has a ball around center of the pitch, Argentina needs a goal and only one player is joining him on the opposition half, WTF  Huh
May be they thought Messi is enough to win a match and the rest do not need to support him.

I am not watching any of the matches because of the time zone difference but looking at the scores and reading news I can tell team Argentina is not in good shape. I will avoid picking them for next few matches.

Football is always about the team no single player or a couple of them make a large difference if the team are not on the same league. It's not the lack of talent that's making the Argentine team poor. It's their rubbish politics in and out of Football. They needed a lesson and I hope this Copa tournament would be the one.
2609  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: This is the the reason why Bitcoin price will go down and not up long term on: June 20, 2019, 03:57:18 PM
And the more the price of bitcoin increase longer would be these waiting times and higher would be the fees. Bitcoin is not a viable transaction to make for any amount below $100.
It has lost it's nature as a currency and has turned itself into a speculative asset. But with new competitions in the market, Bitcoin won't be able to hold it's throne for long unless it keeps improving and does something to solve this problem of high cost/low speed transactions.
2610  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin, Dark Web, Drugs and Government. on: June 20, 2019, 03:52:52 PM
It makes me scared that our government might make some unfair regulations regarding bitcoin because of people who engaged in such illegal activities. I hope they focus catching people like offline rather than online instead since sending drugs will be done off line. And I hope they do something about the addresses of those people.

Crypto surely makes illegal trade easier. And as banning crypto is not an easy and effective task, governments are now trying to give options to people to use government monitered crypto that gives every crypto benefits minus the tax free and anonymity. China has some form of it while USA now trying to launch a global coin with the help of elite enterprises led by Facebook.
2611  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: #FinancialFox Crypto Spotlight: Libra, Facebook's “Crap Coin” on: June 20, 2019, 02:45:38 PM
I feel the same about it. It could even be a plot from the US government itself to spy on people's financial habits. Facebook and Google are the largest spying partner of the US. They are even involved in US sponsored coup and and funding. Just imagine what would happen if they came to control most of money in crypto around the world.
2612  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2019 Cricket World Cup - Discussion & Analysis on: June 20, 2019, 02:42:24 PM
Clearly England, New Zealand, Australia and India would be in the semi finals.
The position could be difficult to predict. India hasn't lost any match so hasn't New Zealand. Both of England and Australia has lost one.
The first on the league would compete with the fourth while the third will take the second. I believe it would be England and India in the finals and I'd hope it would rain.
I don't wan to see England again being defeated in the final on it's own ground.
2613  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What do u think about BNB? Worth to buy? on: June 20, 2019, 02:33:00 PM
At the moment, bitcoin and BNB are the only two coins increasing in price among the top 10s. This just shows how much people trust on it.
BNB is a coin from Binance and Binance has a positive record in the crypto industry as a game changing exchange platform. It's own token thought not monetized, Binance had been providing some fees discount and other contest and offer to keep the price of BNB high. At current time, BNB is the gas of BinanceDEX which is slowly getting much attention. As the use of BNB increase so would increase its price.
2614  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Hardworking pays not luck on: June 20, 2019, 02:25:58 PM
We don't want luck we want to get paid for hardworking ,bounty that was once about how hardworking has now turn to 'how lucky you are' ,something must be done about this ,any ideas??? Since all devs makes use of Bitcointalk forum to advertise and draw people attention bitcointalk will Be the easiest strong wall standing between scammers and investors

That may be true for many sectors. But when it comes to cryptocurrency, luck is as important as hard working.
As the saying goes, luck favors the prepared, there are many things you could do to increase your chances.
Rather than working hard, you should work smart, smart not in the sense of cheating others or creating a scam but to use the available resources in your favor.
2615  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: This is the crypto bull run June 2019 on: June 19, 2019, 03:59:13 PM
Bitcoin and most of the cryptocurrencies have been raising their base price with every boost. In the worst of bear, Bitcoin got stuck between 4K to 6K while this year, it gradually been increasing and for some days, it has stayed over 9K. So, this is a bull run and unlike the rapid one a couple of years ago, its more gradual and natural and hence a dependable rise.
2616  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Sell All Altcoins For Bitcoin? on: June 19, 2019, 03:44:17 PM
I too realized investing in a new coin and looking for a x10 rise or something is more risk than investing in proven crypto at lows and selling them in highs.
Yes, it's better to diversify your holdings but it's the top 10 coins that would provide you a good profit if you know when to move with the market.
2617  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: CWC2019 Prediction Pool - Win x BTC [Additional prize in every round] on: June 19, 2019, 03:41:44 PM
If I am not wrong, NZ needs to chase almost the same runs in less number of overs, right?
Whatever the score, New Zealand will need to chase it in 49 overs coz this is a 49 over match. 2 balls left for South African inning. So far 231.

Edit: Dussen added more 10 runs form the last two balls. So New Zealand will need to chase 241 runs to win.

This score won't be easy, if Kane and Guptil will out soon, they have to play sensibly and let Rabada finished his 1st spell before taking so much risk.
It's a great chance for New Zealand, if they win today, most probably they will through for Semi Final.
New Zealand is much better and aggressive team today they done very good job now they started batting and have good start for me they are now they in fourth most hot team for semi final no other team have chance.

New Zealand had been pretty good this tournament and 242 is a below average target. South Africa is nearly out of the tournament and New Zealand is still unbeaten. But again you can't ignore the bowling lineup of SA, New Zealand are already one down and below the required run rate. New Zealand just need to stick along to win this game.
I hope they'd not make me regret for my 1.5  odds bet on them.
2618  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Libra VS Bitcoin (2 Coins Enter 1 Coin Leaves????) on: June 19, 2019, 02:15:37 PM
Libra VS Bitcoin  (2 Coins Enter 1 Coin Leaves???)

Bitcoin Created by Satoshi
VS
LIBRA Created by Corporations

Libra Specs are still not confirmed, but faster transactions speeds and lower transactions fees to gain market share seem likely.

Libra is Centralized Control and Bitcoin currently is not.

Libra value per coin should be stable since the Corps are backing it with fiat reserves, while Bitcoin price can rise or fall quickly.

My thoughts are merchants will flock to it because of price stability , plus a little corporate nudging.

Bitcoin will still be harder to censor than Libra and its price won't be as stable,
but investors and traders don't want stability, they make money with the market swings.

So Investors and traders will still favor Bitcoin,
While Merchants will favor Libra.

So what is everyone's else thoughts?

Will one defeat the other or are they fighting in different rings and never shall they actually face off.

Libra has features that makes it superior to Bitcoin for day to day payments. It would certainly increase the number of crypto users. It's a merchants coin and a trading tool.
Bitcoin on the other hand is now a speculative coin, a rare token to have. Libra would not directly compete with Bitcoin as its a stable coin. Bitcoin is the king of crypto.
2619  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why do you gamble? on: June 19, 2019, 02:09:44 PM
This is a simple question, but one with a much deeper meaning.

Have you ever considered the reason behind your gambling habit or in some cases addiction? Do you gamble for fun or do you gamble for potential profit?

Do you gamble because you are bored or because you have some medical condition that prevents you from going out to experience other type of entertainment?

Do you gamble, because you hope that a big jackpot will solve all your debt problems or that a big jackpot would fund your dreams?

We should always consider why we do specific things in life and if those things are constructive or damaging in some way and then evaluate our actions to prevent harmful situations.

Looking forward to your responses.  Cheesy

I haven't considered much about why I gamble because my life has been care free and mostly without responsibilities. I think I gamble for potential profit but it's at least fun that I get.
Yes I gamble when I'm bored. I've lost a lot of money in gambling. And I feel guilty about it. I couldn't tell my family about it either.
In my experience, loneliness is one of the reason why people gamble, there are very few things in this real world to have fun with just money.
2620  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Libra the new crypto king on: June 19, 2019, 01:57:31 PM
If Facebook really wants to contribute to the world creating a global crypto currency, they should move away from US and get based in some neutral European country.
But again US may ban Facebook and Facebook can't afford to lose the highest revenue source. So, I don't think this libra project would get any motion unless US security agencies would be given a passage to spy on every of the coin users.
