1621  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: IMO Ecosystem, Real or Not? on: December 30, 2019, 03:49:31 PM
However they may promote themselves, they are just another IEO launchpad. They have tried something new and trying to look innovative but they are just tapping the profit from the hype themselves. It's a completely project, not necessarily a scam but not an open one.
1622  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin price in January 2020 will touch 10k, What do you think? on: December 30, 2019, 03:20:19 PM
January is almost here and the situation are not looking much promising for January. And January and February are still the festive seasons that shows no large buying of crypto as people prefer goods. Bitcoin price should start rising from March and may rich another ATH by June.
1623  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoin Bleeding on: December 30, 2019, 12:30:15 PM
December are generally the time for lowest price for crypto. Prices of crypto were lesser in December 2018 than 2019. The price rose to one of the highest for the year in May and June. Wait for may and June of 2020 to see the rapid growth in price. And if you don't want to miss it, today might be the best time to buy crypto.
1624  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Gifting satoshis to future generations on: December 30, 2019, 01:52:23 AM
I found this quote from the article to be particularly interesting:

Quote
If, for example, someone received today a floppy disk or a Sony minidisk from the ’90s, it would be very hard to find a device able to read it now. It is likely that the same problem will happen with USB sticks, so using a hardware wallet from 2019 may end up requiring multiple adapters to bridge between different communication standards.

And it made me wonder whether in 18 years, when the gift recipient has grown up, bitcoin will be as popular or as relevant.  It's a technology that might not age well in that amount of time--and I don't get the feeling that it's going to disappear or anything like that, but you wouldn't expect USB drives to disappear either.  People expect long-term growth from bitcoin, but the truth of the matter is that none of us knows what's going to happen in crypto.

Having said that, I think it's a fantastic idea to put aside some satoshis or whatever amount of bitcoin would be appropriate for a newborn.  It's a cool gift if nothing else.

Even if bitcoin were not as popular or relevant as now after 18 years. It would still be a good souvenir to give. A piece of the first cryptocurrency that actually attracted the attention of the whole world and was the best investment for the decade 2010-2020. Bitcoin already has a place in history.
1625  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Worsening Lebanese Crisis May Spark Bitcoin Adoption on: December 29, 2019, 03:14:52 PM
It's no surprise that capital are at risk on protest and political change. Bitcoin has become a safe and private way to store your fund without letting others know about it and hold your funds with you every time. Safety of funds were the reason why swiss banks flourished. Bitcoin is a swiss vault in your own pocket.
1626  Economy / Speculation / Re: 2020 Bitcoin halving!!! Bull run??? on: December 29, 2019, 03:00:57 PM
Every bitcoin halving till date has seen a rise in price of bitcoin and every bull run of bitcoin has caused a similar trend into altcoins.
So, there's no reason to doubt about this one. Though there might be whales and margin traders involved in creating a different scenario, it would be really hard to stop the bull. Investors are waiting for it for years.
1627  Economy / Economics / Re: UNICEF Will Give Out Bitcoin Grants via Henrietta Fore's Cryptocurrency Fund on: December 29, 2019, 12:26:39 PM
UNICEF has been one of the most progressive UN programme. Though the stance of UNICEF is not necessarily the decision of UN, UNICEF is one of the most influential organization and most widely recognized ones. They get their sponsorship from many corporates directly and are the first to get into a reverse sponsorship with a football club. This would not only ease people around the world to donate easily to UNICEF, UNICEF itself would be a hodler stimulating the adoption and price growth.
1628  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Time for YouTube to vanish ... on: December 29, 2019, 12:09:13 PM
Google has created such an electronic and internet ecosystem around our-self that it's difficult to avoid it completely. Many content creators too had some problems with Youtube but none of them were able to establish into any other system. Though the game streaming has many options to go with. There are still no competitor to youtube for contents.
1629  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Libra coin alive or dead? on: December 28, 2019, 01:34:19 PM
There were news of Libra moving forward without waiting for the US but again the statement from the president of Switzerland, the country where Headquarter of Libra lies. https://www.theblockcrypto.com/linked/51655/swiss-president-the-current-form-of-facebooks-libra-has-failed

With this news, Libra would have many to convince before starting an issuance.
1630  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin goal million dollars on: December 28, 2019, 12:03:36 PM
The price of 1 BTC=$1M is McAfee's expectation and prediction, but I think it is impossible by the end of 2020. Even if BTC can reach $20k by the end of 2020, it is a success. It's too big for the whole market.

$1M is a dream not far but quite impossible at current circumstances. $20K would be a moderate prediction to make for 2020 and if the situation remains same, we'd have bitcoin price fluctuate between 10 and 20K unless we solve technical issues of scalability and fees as well as legal issue of legality of holding and trading.
1631  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Vending machines that use Bitcoin on: December 28, 2019, 11:19:13 AM
Lightning network are still in it's early stage and it needs consensus among the bitcoin community  to use it for transactions rather than using bitcoin blockchain.
And using a Lightning network could also make bitcoin centralized to some extent. Using multiple Lightning network would create different type of network.
1632  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What if Bitcoin never reaches a new ATH? on: December 28, 2019, 08:28:44 AM
In even such dire consequences, the bitcoin would survive. It would led to some loses to miners and long time holders but the market would sustain itself. As the number of miner decrease, so would the difficulty and as the prices remain the same or low, it would be more usable as a merchant coin.
But no restrictions or manipulation can always keep the price down. Bitcoin would rise to a new ATH in 2020.
1633  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: kms activator and bitcoin wallet? on: December 28, 2019, 08:01:13 AM
if you can buy "legal licensi" better you install linux ubuntu , currently im use ubuntu 18.04 and its easier and a lot of fun than use windows.
you did'nt need "key" or "license" to use it

Very simple solution

I have been using Linux for years and never looked back. If you are using your personal computer for just the crypto and internet. Linux is a better choice than windows. Linux is also good for watching videos and listening to music and better for steam gaming. The only downside I've encounter are the microsoft office alternatives are not that advanced.
1634  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Blockchain courses? on: December 27, 2019, 08:15:52 AM
You need to have some knowledge about codes and how they works. And whether you are to work for some specific blockchain or create your own.
Different blockchain uses different and sometimes multiple of programming languages.
Javascript would be the basic to start with. Python could be a easy way forward as it's becoming more popular among blockchain developers.
1635  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Protect Yourself And You Protect Your Assets on: December 26, 2019, 03:30:00 PM
This is a real issue to consider.
You can lose money is different ways if you are being careless. Keep backups of everything and let the closest to yours know about where and how much you hold but don't boast about it in public or online. Don't keep everything you have on one place, not only losing, you may also suffer if you can't use it for whatever reasons when you absolutely need it.
1636  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Protest can give the right solutions? on: December 26, 2019, 03:26:50 PM
In India more than 90% of people are not happy with the changes made based on religious things and millions of people were protesting at every corner but still government yet to open their mouth related to this, next stage will become violence is that what government wants?

There are a little number of individuals who mention religion On the opposite hand most of people respect people of the other religion. a number of us are those who work together to assist people regardless of the problem however much of what's happening has become very bad and lots of people are harmed.
But those few people were in ruling power so most people can't do anything against them?

Lets go back to dictatorship then.
The government is really powerful and even protestant would be useless. In fact because of protest it always cause harm to the people who are fighting their side because of police who depends the government. That was the sad reality in one society.

In a real democracy, there's no use of protest for building or resisting laws and rules as the desire of public can be expressed through votes. But in a dictatorship, protest could be the only way to make a change.
At present context, almost all of the so called public protest are influenced by international catalyst than self arising within the population.
1637  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Annual Proof of Keys January 3rd on: December 26, 2019, 03:18:00 PM
Almost all of the bitcoin I have are on exchanges for trading or are invested somewhere. I know it's better to be safe and hold the ownership of the coins yourself, but the larger the liquidity I maintain larger would be my profit.
3rd January is still to come and we would know which of the exchanges hot wallet would go dry.
1638  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What if Ethereum replaces Bitcoin someday? on: December 26, 2019, 02:27:31 PM
Ethereum and Bitcoin are different things. Ethereum is not going to replace bitcoin. It can be the most traded coin, the coin with most marketcap but it would not replace bitcoin as they are different in nature. Bitcoin is a limited supply asset while Ethereum is a utility token that has an undefined supply whose controlled output would maintain it's price and usability.
1639  Other / Politics & Society / Re: why are leftists in america considered communists? on: December 25, 2019, 03:18:46 PM
if you look at democrats and their russia hatred, you think they are some kind of nazis or racists,

why do they hate people because they live in a different part of the world, is cnn and the american "left" insane?

or is the american left simply the right, because americans confuse left with right?

All of America hates Russia to some extent. Democrats just voice that now to hide their incapability.
Most of US political leaders have shown an external enemy that is the cause of all problems in the nation.
It's not that there are no leftist in Republican or Democrats, but the word itself is a taboo to speak.
US is becoming more and more hypocrite under the media curtain. They are turning themselves into a semi-closed society for ideas.
1640  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: NitroDice RNG is Rigged and not fair! on: December 25, 2019, 02:52:49 PM
Why would you even bet that huge on a shady dice site like nitroDice. Was that the advertised 0.5% house edge that lured you?
There's always the probability of getting huge number of loses on every odds, but the losses on exact time frame you mentioned is surely a red flag.
If you are betting huge, stick to trusted dice sites.
