2601  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you know the Cards game..lucky nine, pusoy and tong its on: July 04, 2021, 01:44:14 PM

I don't know any of these games. Are they very popular? Playing new card games is always fun, but I wouldn't gamble on it. I only consider gambling on games which I know well and where I think I have an advantage. That is why the only two card games I play with money are poker and blackjack.

These are popular card games in the Philippines, and they are played as past times and on gambling places but not unlike casinos it could be a house or an open space, it's prohibited to play in public if caught you will be fine, my favorite among the three is lucky nine, it's easy to play can be played, lucky nine is a pure luck game and I always play it with my friends and family when we don't have an internet connection, good past times.

you can "hirit" when playing lucky nine. its not a real strategy but its an option in case you have less than 5. kids are usually the ones who plays lucky nine, i was just in grade school when i learned it. in the Philippines, this game will always be popular in funeral wakes which having lots of players more than 6 players around the table. if lucky, you can last the whole night with just PHP10 as capital.

there are facebook apps back in 2008 which pusoy and tongits can be played. there was no real money involved but it's fun to play still. now i believe there is a way for us to play these games with real cash and you can download the games on playstore.

2602  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Look at the Bitcoin bull run from the policies of China and the United States on: July 04, 2021, 01:24:49 PM

What price changes should we expect due to what is happening in the world?

everything is related. covid pandemic is just a perfect setting which is why every conspiracy theorists are looking into why all countries conspired with each other.

China has an enormous on Bitcoin and I can't get rid of the idea that China owns also a lot of it. It is not just recently that they closely scan markets and buy up all kinds of assets. They are very advanced when it comes to (financial) technology. I am convinced they own a big bag of Bitcoin and are now running a distraction maneuver by banning the mining operations. Imagine Bitcoin one day makes it to 10 trillion total market cap and China owns 40% of it. Smiley

i believe so too. why they crackdown and allow miners to move elsewhere is probably just for a show but when it comes to finance, this race had almost perfected everything. more than 10 years of having all the biggest hash from them so if they really hate the idea of decentralization, they would likely be seizing the digital assets but they allow the miners to continue for years.

2603  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Inoue vs Donaire II discussion on: July 04, 2021, 07:12:20 AM
the first fight isn't a close fight. did inoue already said they will have a 2nd?
It was not close but Donaire just did well.
Inoue would always want to fight anyone, even Casimero, but it's always up to his promoter Bob Arum.

There's a rumor circulating that Bob Arum talks to Donaire, and it's possible that he offered the Inoue fight and during the post-fight interview of Donaire, he said he wants a rematch on Inoue for unification.

for someone who sees it as TKO, it's definitely not close when one party just kneels and gives up. base on the score it was a close fight.

unification would be good, they are both champ. the fight will generate more money than a fight versus casimero that's for sure else arum wouldn't be making the fight possible. a 2nd chance for donaire.
2604  Economy / Speculation / Re: Analysis of the causes of bitcoin's fall that is minimized on: July 04, 2021, 06:49:51 AM

it's all fud. there could be some half-truth to what they are saying but it's just half. there are actions done by several individuals who counter these fuds, especially on youtube. they however are only shared by a few and it doesn't reach all major media to propagate. but the price has been good if you just look at the post of Tytanowy Janusz which the BTC price = @35k.
2605  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Becareful with Meme Coins on: July 03, 2021, 03:40:33 PM

The dumping of the market on various fronts is very worrying, and indeed the meme coin is currently the most restrictive. It will be very difficult for meme coins to rise because the benefits provided by meme coins are very minimal and it makes investors less interested.

dogecoin wasn't a memecoin before elon comes in, i use to like the coin even before it has even touched the value of a cent. doge is adopted on casinos so i think it does have a usage. now that it's been seen as memecoin it seems to have ruined it. memecoin had been hype early this year so it's hard for those holders to let go of their stash after Buterin toyed with Shiba Inu. it definitely devastated their funds.
2606  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The most centralized cryptocurrency? on: July 03, 2021, 02:30:30 PM

any coin that has a team that could make changes to its code is centralized. BNB can is owned by the binance team which a government could force them to be investigated and maybe even do something with it. Hoskinson of ADA had lobbied personalities and even tried to make contacts with people who can influence markets. XRP is often said to be the most centralized and decisive as well mainly because they separate the entity of XRP token and Ripple. and it is unfairly distributed.
2607  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Inoue vs Donaire II discussion on: July 03, 2021, 12:24:40 PM
the first fight isn't a close fight. did inoue already said they will have a 2nd?

the first fight is clearly ruled by inoue. its not like the fight ended with UD. which is why its really good for donaire to fight someone among their weight class for him to be able to reach inoue. casimero however is canceled. i hope they can make negotiations again.
2608  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Manny Pacquiao vs Errol Spence Jr - August 21 on: July 03, 2021, 12:03:38 PM
Errol Spence is putting all his time into training while Manny Pacquiao is busy having an exchange conversation with the government. He is creating his own distraction.

The timing is really bad as he can focus on the idea of his ambition for a higher position after the fight. And because the government is responding to his statement then he will respond too and it will now be a never-ending discussion. He is so sure about his supporting documents about corruption but why just now? He can show that a much early and even can form an investigation on the Senate if he's really serious about fighting the corruption.

But instead, he does it now as he's making sound to the election. I don't know what to think now.

Manny is amazing as a boxer but as a politician, his money and fame make him win the senate seat.

I just don't know how he can handle this issue now that it's blown out of proportion. He just can't leave the Philippines to train in the US, he must finish what he started so that his popularity won't drop.

He may say that he is not affected by the issue but for sure his focus will not be there anymore and this might lead to his distraction against a bigger and younger opponent. Against Spence, he must bring his A game.

Hopefully, he can focus on the fight and will win, he is having some kind of big trouble as a presidential aspirant because lots of criticism has been thrown at him. Imagine if the current administration will campaign against him, I'm sure people will be convinced more not to vote on him.

Do we have an advance presidential survey already, I'm sure Manny would not win.

i think he knows he isn't going to win a presidential race. the opposition will just use many to divide the votes, as much as possible to divert some to the opposition's top candidate. he should know how popular duterte is. he needs a hero's welcome to burst his popularity again but if he is distracted in politics and this coming fight may result in a loss for both politics and boxing.

2609  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: July 02, 2021, 01:28:26 PM
I'm fancying Derrick Lewis all day long in the next fight. Don't get me wrong, Gane is talented, and I did say he needed to have a few more fights before taking on some of the bigger names. Well, I think Derrick will catch him too many times, and put him to sleep. Although, I will say if he can beat Derrick, while taking some of his shots I'll be impressed, and will buy into the hype into Gane a little more.

On a side note, I'm rewatching some of The Ultimate Fighter seasons, and its interesting to look at some of the guys from the old seasons, and how far they reached it in UFC or MMA in general. Some of them that didn't win the show, had some respectable records.

My hype was still on Gane, I think he can outmaneuver Derrick the Black Beast Lewis and because of Ciryl Ganes, speed I think he can make many strikes than Lewis, and end the fight with a decision, and from the recent fight of Lewis, he TKO Alexander Volkov but with Gane's tactics and fight wisely technique I think he can sure win it, but apparently, I am having doubts with Gane's strength, this could be a tougher opponent for Ciryl Gane one wrong move and he could be food for the Black Beast, But my support is still with Ciryl Gane.

derrick only need a one shot. Gane has the agility and he can throw all his strenght here but if he isnt going to succeed in bringing derrick down, it could end terribly with just one shot from derrick.

Gane speed up quickly up there accepting any possible opponent. if he has no problem fighting ngannou, he will be next then.
2610  Economy / Economics / Re: (HELP) - Which are the most friendly countries for a crypto startup? on: July 02, 2021, 09:15:46 AM
The recent one; El Salvador. If I'm correct, Bukele has recently announced that if some wants to start a crypto project, they will get immediate citizenship there. So, that can be a good option for you although I don’t know about their laws & regulations.
Source- https://www.indiatoday.in/technology/news/story/el-salvador-offers-citizenship-to-bitcoin-holders-approves-bitcoin-as-official-currency-1812688-2021-06-09
I still have doubts about El Salvador but I wouldn't cross them off the list for a good place for start ups. Maybe Japan or South Korea could be of your interest but the problem is the language barrier between you and the locals. Maybe Philippines or African countries might do the work for you.

with 3BTC, El Salvador government will give the company permanent residence. this is really a sweet deal and i'm not sure about the tax there but it still going to be a good place to start with since it almost the center of Bitcoin in Central America and the beaches are also great and the people already are aware of Bitcoin. or consider the cost of living if you have fewer funds.
2611  Economy / Economics / Re: The slave does not dream of freedom, but of being the slave-master on: July 02, 2021, 06:57:56 AM
before you become a slave master you must have freedom already.
that means after a person got his freedom, he wasn't contented with it so he wanted more and become a slave-master. i'm not sure what to think but there are some who almost got their freedom but still prefer to be a slave like the ones with Stockholm syndrome. the mind works differently.

we're not creating a cryptocurrency to be a master because ultimately there will be a lot of rich people who have more crypto assets which just like the old ways, are they all gonna be our masters? there's still going to be a big gap between the rich and the poor.
2612  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Breaking : Donaire Versus Casimero on: July 02, 2021, 06:44:31 AM
They have now created a nationwide awareness so skipping the fight is like throwing away a good revenue for the fight. They reached all the target audiences on the fight and I'm sure many will watch as people want to see how Nonito will react on the ring.

I'm now starting to believe that this was all to promote the fight as there's still no official announcement yet from the promoters. The issue was surely true and legit but the fight won't be likely to officially canceled.

somewhat like they are testing if the match could get substantial support to make money out of it. to make more hype i guess casimero provoked donaire way beyond the line and so rachel wanting to prove like she could cancel a match. mixed nuts. if casimero is paid low, doesn't matter as long as he agrees to it. and donaire could punish him in the ring for rude comments to wifey.
2613  Other / Off-topic / Re: Do you think Michael Saylor is a bit dodgy? on: July 01, 2021, 07:14:36 AM
We could make a list of people who said contradicting things over the years.

Mark Cuban, John McAfee, Elon Musk, Kevin O'Leary... Some were positive and turned negative, some the other way round.
I don't find Saylor to be dodgy at all. He saw real profits, Bitcoin helped him build his company, so he became bullish.
And what are your thoughts on Mark Cuban, John McAfee, Elon Musk, Kevin O'Leary?

Do you think they're dodgy?
Or do you think they just saw the potential for real losses and became bearish?

each of them had actually opened some doors for something to look at. Cuban was complaining about the Defu project that did the rug pull lately and now it seems regulators are checking what Defi has to offer. i wouldn't say dodgy like deceitful but at least these popular persons are opening the eyes of the government.

Micheal Saylor somewhat makes us now know that there can be negotiations to be done for BTC to be widely adopted and that could be environment friendly and green energy.  elon is something else.

2614  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What happen if US ban cryptocurrencies? on: July 01, 2021, 04:06:23 AM
there is nowhere else to go for investors. the real estate is surging, it bubbled so big already and they are afraid. the dollar is shrinking, gold is of no importance because they now knew, it could be taken from them as Micheal Saylor said.

banning cryptocurrency will be a loss for a country whose doing it. if they ban bitcoin, it probably will be just temporary until they figure some laws.
2615  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Breaking : Donaire Versus Casimero on: July 01, 2021, 03:54:14 AM
This is really a big fight, and I bet on Donaire in the first place because he got the big edge on this match.
With his attitude and humbleness despite of their conflicts, I believed that there's really a deep emotions coming through when their fight is going to commence.
Donaire will really dump his punches and will show no mercy for Casimero, which will eventually made him learned from all the mistakes he made.

i dont know what it is going take for Donaire to push thru this fight as he already cancelled from his side? though no official announcements yet if this is indeed a shelved fight. what will happen to the upcoming Inoue fight here if this Donaire-Casimero will not push thru?
we can't do anything much but wait if this fight will still push thru...
If its cancelled then theres nothing we can do and in that case then Inoue-Casimero fight might push through but others said it would be might on Donaire.

Don't know on why they do really make this big which in result into cancellation and fans of both fighters are really eager nor excited to see for these boxers to fight in the ring.

The potential winner could  really have the chance on fighting the monster but it seems it is impossible as of this moment.

all because of the drug test. that's a good excuse to cancel.
inoue-casimero fight will be making more money than donaire-casimero so maybe they figured there is less Filipino who will watch the fight the fact that there's still covid. If they however do it somewhere else like MGM, they'd probably get some amount still from las vegas tourists. watching Donaire vs Casimero fight in Araneta might just be the last thing that a Pinoy will think of in the middle pandemic.

2616  Economy / Speculation / Re: Crypto Winter Is Coming, Warns Experts on: June 30, 2021, 08:07:28 AM
I don't know if I should be worried or happy because I don't have any money yet to buy bitcoin to increase my portfolio when the prices really did go down. If this is the winter that they are talking about, I don't think that we will have to worry too much about it.
basically predicting something that will happen is not necessarily certain, but here we are indeed preparing for many things from the possibilities that occur in winter related to crypto prices. although we can not buy but we can still get it in several ways and think more optimistic of course

the warnings that experts tell somehow made me think it's their plan to make us believe the price will continue to drop and then we see prices are actually rising. it's a confusing time when you know you don't control the future price. not good to be very optimistic when it's uncertain but to be prepared for what's coming, i'd prefer to just not look at the price anymore.

The warning is only from JPMorgan and Daily FX which is well known for shilling and bias statement in terms of Cryptocurrency topic. But on the bright side of this news, The creator of Bollinger Bands indicator state that Bitcoin reached already the bottom at 30,000$. This means that the expert opinion is divided and there still some hope for market recovery.

Using Technical Analysis monthly timeframe, It shows how bearish the market for this year after a long Bull market started last year.

when for the press, it's usually believed by a percentage of the holders of BTC. JPmorgan or someone else like Elon who has big followings on social media will take their agenda in order to make more for themselves. it's already clear JPmorgan wants BTC just as big institutions want.

we have not yet go to the monthly chart yet to consider it bear. you can see the weekly timeframe didn't illustrate the bottom price. this makes panic whether it can go down or up in the weekly chart.
2617  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Estrada vs Gonzalez Trilogy - Oct 16 on: June 30, 2021, 04:27:28 AM

Estrada will be the slight favorite going into this fight based on the strength that he beat Gonzalez last time. But it doesn't mean that he will have the advantage in the trilogy. For me it was Gonzalez who won the second fight, but the judges saw otherwise. So the same here, I will bet on Gonzalez by decision, could be unanimous.

gonzales must be the one who requested this 3rd fight. a win by decision makes people doubt the outcome, there has to be a KO to end it all.
i don't really follow the two. but looking into their records the two fights end with decisions which both must be a close fight.  both have wins to each other so as a tie-breaker a 3rd fight has to happen.
2618  Economy / Economics / Re: Crypto Passive Income - My Experience on: June 30, 2021, 01:39:51 AM
What is the best site for staking a stablecoin like usdt or usdc?  Im from the US but overseas though.

Some sites i can't use because they are restricted due to my location etc.

the ones that i could recommend which your coins don't go anywhere but just inside your own wallet is the USDN in the WAVES exchange which you can use your wallet to just stake it. APy is about 6.9%, i'm not sure though so you will have to check it here on https://waves.exchange/ my experience is quite good so far in staking WAVES.
2619  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BNB has tokens for each Altcoin on: June 28, 2021, 11:08:41 PM
That is a tactic of theirs so that people will buy on their BSC network and everything has to be traded first with their own token made for each altcoin.

It's just that CZ knows how to make a strategic move so that it can increase the demand for his tokens on his own network.

very strategic and i think it should have been done by other platforms too like the TRX and ADA. for ADA i believe they are on the way to be doing this while their smart contract is already up. they've already had deals with ERC projects actually. crosschains and tokenbridges will make it possible for all these platforms to have interoperability.
2620  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to deal with bear markets on: June 28, 2021, 10:18:48 PM
you just need to take it simpler to deal bear markets just like the many traders do, they just want to hedge their money to stablecoins and then wait. there is nothing else to be done unless you wanted to keep coins with prices that are dwindling. Some are engaged in staking stablecoins to earn while the bear market isn't yet showing signs of retracing back up. that's one way to enjoy life.
