1844  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: PH banned online cockfighting - Worst gambling-related cases recorded! on: May 23, 2022, 05:25:47 AM
I had no idea that online cockfighting was a thing, but it makes sense.  I'm sure as technologies like cryptocurrency become more widespread and more people become comfortable setting up platforms on the onion routing network, things like this will become more common.  It seems like only a matter of time before some sort of darknet gameshow like something out of a horror film becomes a reality.  I'm sure such a thing probably already exists, but certainly isn't mainstream...yet.

probably. when government makes it illegal, people are more inclined to  try it like a cuban cigar.

yes cockfighting is a  thing in Philippines. when you guys talks about whos your dog while watching a boxing match, we in the Philippines use the term " who's your manok" which means which rooster you're rooting.  applies to elections too.
1845  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: PH banned online cockfighting - Worst gambling-related cases recorded! on: May 22, 2022, 02:18:02 PM
I dont believe that there's lacking about games offered online on why they are really into cockfight betting but rather they do really just looking it for it to be interesting
because if we do speak of the current online games into casinos and the easy access then i dont see for it to be that lacking.
So its not surprising that government would really be taking some action.
It's true, there are too many games that everyone can play, and not just with this online cockfight. But you know our culture, there has been a tradition and people got used to this gambling game. It doesn't matter if there are animals part of it and lives are being exchanged for it.
But it's the norm that has been formed for centuries and that's hard to remove, now, a ban has been said but this won't stop the culture and tradition. There will still be ways that these gamblers will look to bet in online cockfights especially if they're addicted to it.

No one can stop those addicted gamblers, even the ban already implemented. If there's still someone who will continue to the offer a same kind of gambling behind the government's back, those people will continue to play and lose their money. Sabong is a part of our tradition and with how the internet access more people easily, they penetrate deeper and now the government need to act to avoid more addicted and ruined families to suffer from losing more money.

sabongeros will gamble when there is a platform even if its a duck vs rooster on the arena. they'd gladly bet still.
1846  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Why Russia isn't using it's full force in Ukraine ? tactically .. on: May 14, 2022, 04:34:49 PM
Why Russia isn't using it's full force in Ukraine ?

Why the russians are allowing the ukrainens to win ... they had Kiev in their hands and then they retreat ,it makes no sense, tactically it makes no sense ... as a general i would have bombed Kiev like Mariupol or worse ...

Russia has a lot of resources ...ammo never finishes for russians ...you had Kiev in your hands why would you give it back ? ...no sense ...

https://www.aljazeera.com/news/2022/3/2/why-hasnt-russia-mobilised-its-vast-air-power-against-ukraine

One the reasons that they haven't attack Ukraine fully ks because they share the same blood. They have the same language, came from the same root. They are like the other race that blindly kills innocent lives. They are showing their power, how much can it damage the city they are attacking. They could've blown Ukraine already but they choose to give them the choice to surrender.

this i believe is true because they speak same language. i have been watching history of the two countries including neighboring countries are also speaking the same language.

speculating what they are doing is that they want the Ukrainians to unite with Russia. unfortunately its not happening so far. if they bomb Ukraine really hard, they can do it and kill all but that wouldn't look good at all not just to the Ukrainians but to the world watching this war unfold, also there are Russians who has relatives in Ukraine.

1847  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Who will be the next ? Waves? on: May 13, 2022, 02:53:36 AM

Waves was also attacked. any smart contract platform with algo stablecoin are attacked. but this i think was more focused on Terra.
1848  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Terra USD, proved its not a stablecoin on: May 11, 2022, 03:27:38 AM
they offer that 20% yield for holding UST which is very attractive that's why investors mint the stablecoin, now it seems that this stablecoin wiggles too much. it makes sense to hold more if you want to get that much profit in just holding.

but there were other stablecoin like USDN that also offers close to this apy that didn't really drop to $0.70. this team is corrupt.
1849  Local / Others (Pilipinas) / Re: Sino ang presidente mo, at bakit? on: May 10, 2022, 04:08:09 AM

Grin

iba rin ang kuento ngayon. dahil parang lumalabas ata sa kuento ng Marcos na binully sila ng US(CIA) at pinakialaman daw tayo ng US parang  regime change gaya ngginawa nila sa ibang bansa gaya ng Iraq or Lybia at iba pa.
1850  Economy / Speculation / Re: What do you see in this chart? on: May 10, 2022, 03:56:43 AM

0.50 will be its support, breaking out that line will be horrific for a holder. if the price bounces from  0.23 and continues up, i think we can forget to speculate how low it could be.

it's the RSI that you will need to notice there because it's telling us that it's still going to dip. if the RSI reached oversold while fib touches 0.38, will it convince traders that its a good bounce signal?
1851  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bearish market continues? on: May 10, 2022, 03:37:09 AM

half this year will also be the time for bulls and if not, we really still need halving for the market to start a bull run again. so much panic and we hit to lowest so if it's still going to plunge below $30K, send all you got including the coins in your cold wallet because we're going back to 2018 dive which prices could be less than $20K, worse 10k.

1853  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Binance joins funding for Elon Musk's takeover of Twitter on: May 09, 2022, 09:25:13 AM
I wouldn't be surprised if there are any paid functions related to bnb.
Having small shares still meant nothing and the decision will always come from the party that has owned the majority of shares in the market. I think that you know this so well. When elon acquired all of shares of twitter and the decision is on his hand whether the twitter wanna try to accept the crypto currency or not. Being paid to be used is a very bad thing for the social media like twitter. This will make people retire from using this platform.

retiring from using twitter is like punishing yourself. it's where everyone is in having voice. i think Elon is more democratic though unlike the previous board that suspends a lot of accounts when it's voicing out an opinion against the politicians they don't support.

but understand also that Elon is an investor and speculator who looks at a profit in every direction. he will make money out of twitter. CZ and Elon are like the conquerors of our time.
1854  Economy / Economics / Re: Where Bitcoin Stands during a Stagflation on: May 09, 2022, 07:51:32 AM
The issue I am seeing regarding inflation is this. Everybody is talking about the coming recession. However when you go out in public people are still spending money like crazy.

Gucci store is full, lululemon is packed, so is Apple store. Everyone is spending money, adding debt with rising interest even though they know there is going to be a recession sooner or later. Why is everybody being careless.

those who spend today are not aware of what is happening. buying gucci and other high price products means they're wealthy but inflation is already happening. Sri Lanka was affected the most. although we could blame them for the government's corruption, the country is really crumbling. somebody has to bail them out but every country today is also on the brink.

its real carelessness to spend money on unnecessary things these days but we are still betting on btc casinos Grin
1855  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: why we should Buy some Bitcoins on: May 09, 2022, 07:29:30 AM

there are speculations that price will dive $25k, can't be so sure about the bear market coming to an end. i will agree though that its time to buy BTC if you wanted to earn when prices moons again.

to those who have a lot of money to invest, they buy Bitcoin because they want to have more millions in their pocket. retail investors want to have thousands when the bull market comes that's why we should also buy BTC.
1856  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Someone sent me $2000 woth bitcoin on: May 09, 2022, 07:13:38 AM

it's now a common scam. hundreds to thousands of people probably have received such email including me. if you don't remember you have an account on the platform they were saying, it's definitely a scam.

it did made me smile when an email was sent to me of course i was interested but paying to confirm a transaction is not how Bitcoin works. the sender is not so bold but considering thousands of people sending him $110, that's a load of scam money.
1857  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Newbies: Stay away and avoid all bounties! on: May 09, 2022, 07:05:32 AM

it was worth it back in 2017 but today is just not going to make you money anymore. the teams making these tokens will have to spend a lot of money probably more than they could get from the funds they get to enlist the token to an exchange. while you will have a ton of tokens rewarded to you, you may not be able to trade them.

it's time to ask the teams for BTC as payment, not thier tokens. time to demand BTC from them or no exposure.  Grin
1858  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: PH banned online cockfighting - Worst gambling-related cases recorded! on: May 08, 2022, 03:55:46 PM

somehow online cockfighting is now known to be a good business for them. the PH government may not be able to stop this if they go underground and set up an arena for online fights again under different URLs or .onion it might be another learning curve but the determination of the enthusiast is not going to be easy to break off.

there are still lots of people buying and selling roosters on facebook like they have some backup plan to continue thier addiction.
1859  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: AN INTERESTING WAY TO INTRODUCE BITCOIN LEARNING TO OUR FUTURE GENERATION on: May 08, 2022, 03:36:22 PM

learning to value the money handed to them as they study from grade school to high school. economics will be a good subject for them to learn first.

as much as possible i want my kid to also learn BTC, but i wouldn't want him to be financially independent right when he is still a kid because this will have an impact on them. kids today are very different than the ones from the 90s. today kids are more rebellious.
1860  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Canelo Alvarez vs Dmitry Bivol - May 7 on: May 08, 2022, 07:18:55 AM

^^ Indeed, what a performance from Bivol, Canelo has a difficulty penetrating Bivol's high guard defense and then Bivol's 1-2 is hitting Canelo.

And whatever Canelo try to rally and somewhat winning the round, Bivol will make a comeback jab, straight, straight. I guess Canelo was exposed here, and probably 175 lbs is too big for him.

With his loss to this weight division, he may go back to super middleweight. And now, time to face GGG again. Will this loss affect the odds as well as purse split if in case Canelo vs GGG will happen this year? GGG came out as winner over Murata.

But on the other hand, with Bivol's win, he may be seeing better purse split for his next fight. We have seen the gap of purse split between Canelo and Bivol. This is the consolation of Canelo for this fight, getting much higher paycheck even if he lost this match.

gg vs canelo will be more accurate, it's an unfinished business.

canelo was surprised how quickly bivol can reach him with a combo. congratulation to the winners. definitely, bivol gave his best. impressive performance though there is no knockout but almost saw what i expect the fight to be. i was rooting for a KO, didn't happen. a loss still.
