1741  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Jake Paul v Anderson Silva [rumours] on: September 04, 2022, 02:50:51 PM
I don't think these are rumors.  It seems to be a legitimate fight with contracts already signed.  It might not be the most exciting fight watching a punk kid fight an old legend.  It's as close as they could get to Jake Paul vs Mike Tyson though, so at least they're trying to maintain some entertainment.  I wonder how long Logan will be wrestling for until he gets back in the boxing ring.
Anderson Silva also received his boxing license from the commission, so it's very likely he's fighting Jake Paul. I'm quite excited about it, people aren't giving Anderson enough credit. He's already boxed successfully.

As for Logan Paul, I think the money is currently in the wrestling for him. However, I know KSI is back to boxing so I think that's pushing Logan to actually do something too. I'm not sure who Logan would fight though, potentially one of Jake Paul's opponents, and then maybe we'll see the difference between the two.

I’m a fan of Anderson Silva back on his prime on UFC before his leg injury. He has a superb boxing skill and agility to dodge close combat punch as if everything is slow motion but his last 3 matches before he retired shows his weakness and slow movement for his reflexes which I think the main reason why he is not the favorite on this match since the fight will be boxing while Jake Paul already dedicated his life on this sports even if it’s not on professional way. Silva is playing on different sports which means his experience is not that much helpful since his opponent specialty is already on boxing.

I think this match is fair unlike typical exhibition match that usually the unprofessional boxer is always on losing side. This time I can assume that Jake Paul has chance of winning.

sure its a fair match. so Jake better train well this time.
Silva moved to boxing i think because of his leg injury but he is beating top level dudes like Julio Chavez Jr. though Silva is old, he can box.

you gotta respect Jake for having the balls to fight Silva. this young man doesn't just have the high IQ marketing skills, he also knockout combat guys who had been trained longer than he did.
1742  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why do you think bear market is affecting Bitcoin (Crypto currencies) so badly on: September 02, 2022, 03:44:03 PM

its not just the bear market. the inflation will dry people up if it continues for another 2 years. mostly the retail invesors relying the cycle of bull runs.

if they sell the fraction of BTC they hold to put food on the table or for gas this winter, then they lose the opportunity when bear is over.
1743  Economy / Economics / Re: Banks are changing ..... Bitcoin should wake up and innovate more! on: September 02, 2022, 03:29:29 PM

if what you mean by more innovatoin is smart contract, there are teams already doing it like the RSK and Taro. but if you mean modifying BTC code itself to its protocol, it will bring down its market with broken trust.  spare the decentralization to Bitcoin and give governments control to Eth POS.
1744  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Investing in Casino tokens such as BFG, OWL or TFS on: September 02, 2022, 03:16:40 PM

I would personally only consider this kind of assest as a long term investment only if I had a very high trust on these casinos and their capacity to grow in a such competitive market, due to the centralization implicit on them.
The price of these tokens are tied to the success of the platform itself acting like some sort of share.

I think that for long term investment it would be better to go with a decentralized asset, like Bitcoin. I am not saying that these casino tokens cant lead to very good profits, centralized coins (like Binance's BNB) have provided a lot of money to their investors in a relatively short period of time, but these tokens are not for everyone.

True, the success of your investment depends on how the marketing will succeed to attract more gamblers to play using the casino if there's nothing that the team offers it will delay the progress in terms of value, but if there are many available feature that investors will earn the chance that it will be supported by more investors and traders.

On the other-hand, if you have a decent amount of money to invest, adding more solid asset like BTC, ETH and BNB.

It's up to you though, your money is always valued by your decision with your investment.

what sort of proof do you need for ou to trust a casino token?

would it be enough to show that the dividends that casino gave saved its holders from bear market and the crisis?
because if a bag holder did made it just relying on shared revenue from the casino i think the casino deserves it. the bagholder however must have spent a lot to bag the casino tokens.

1745  Economy / Exchanges / Re: FTX froze user account for sending coins to privacy roll up on: September 02, 2022, 12:50:45 AM

@2stout. Agreed, it will only be public enemy for a week or a month until the remember it again and create another campaign for it then forget about it again hehehe. Also, very much similar to the darknet marketplaces, how much more has it grown after the famous case of the owner of the Silkroad? I reckon more than 10x since 2013.

nothing stops it as long as people use the marketplace to buy stuff. just like the mixers, it will also be used. the more people will use mixers or the likes of wasabi wallet because of this censorship from CEX.

these CEX don't have options too or they will face legal action from regulators. it could be too much but do you think users caught using mixers by exchanges will be hunted?
1746  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: National Police of Ukraine takes down cyber crime group on: September 01, 2022, 06:13:12 AM
while there is a war going on in their country, these cyber group are also busy victimizing. just amazing.  Cheesy

it didn't say how long this call center been operating, i can imagine they operate for years by the number of employees laying down. Just arm these crime group, recruit these guys to fight Russians in Donetsk.
1747  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: south africa has launched a SMS service to send bitcoin without internet on: September 01, 2022, 05:51:35 AM
While it may not be perfect, it seems like they’re doing what is necessary to help spread adoption which could really benefit these people in the future. I doubt sms will be a widely used way to send Bitcoin but if it helps then now then it seems like a pretty awesome project.

that's the point i guess. they see to it that there will be an  adoption  despite having an internet connection that is not very stable.

there are also digital payment (GCASH) in my country which we use all the time with internet connection. Its widely adopted that even prostitutes are using it nowadays. but if we are not connected to the internet, we can also send the cash thru SMS.
1748  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Commentary and commentators in sports. on: August 31, 2022, 07:55:58 PM
Commentary is underated in sports and commentators are not giving enough recognition for the role they play in sports.

I don't agree. In UFC good commentators earn a lot of money and are really appreciated by the fans. Joe Rogan made a nice career out of commenting and now has his own show.
It's the same with football commentators. Most of them are in this line of work for life and people get used to hearing their voices. I have my personal favourite football commentator who's known of doing it all the way in the 80s and 90s and he's still great at it.

sometimes, Joe Rogan's facial reaction whenever theres a KO is more entertaining to watch than the slomo. Joe earns more on his podcast i believe than being a commentator. he is just doing it for the love of the sport.

1750  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: "The Lower-Risk Gambling Guidelines" Is this a joke? on: August 30, 2022, 09:11:34 PM
if you earn 6 figures a month, you may really spend huge for anything you enjoy doing. so the guideline will make you think of following it once you see yourself losing half of the 6 figures. it sounds like a joke but i guess this will serve as a reminder moderately gamble the money out from your wallet. its probably just for people to minimize the habit.

1751  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: 1k to 10k Challenge Update, I MADE IT! on: August 30, 2022, 08:56:54 PM
I noticed your thread on this when you posted it around the half way mark and was curious for how far you'd get (especially as the market was changing while you were doing it)..

(and as mentioned by scripture, it's better to make one thread documenting the whole thing than just having these announcements as some of yours have been deleted).

10k is not a big amount for me

This sounds like you're talking yourself up to doing 10k to 100k next time Wink.

yep he will not stop of course. he did really learn the trade well, he will crave for another success because it always feel good to achieve something. 100,000 may take time but its a game to enjoy.

i was also doing this thru the memecoin, i have been trading it just to enjoy the airdrop i got from it. its not huge but sometimes the memecoin gets pumps almost quarterly so its not so bad to play it.
1752  Economy / Gambling / Re: The History Of Gambling. on: August 29, 2022, 09:21:38 PM

Once a time gambling was centered around a large social event. Gambling house were made temporarily in places where there was a lot of crowd. But later on it became very popular with the people and occasionally gambling was organized. At that moment it starts to expand massively and settles well. Then it is also get legalized. And whenever gambling is conducted over the internet, it creates a world wide frenzy. Nowadays, people are gambling comfortably from their home.
History of gambling goes back to the ancient times.
Even in religious books there is so much references of the gambling - Hindu and chinese are very fond of gambling and they are good in it too.
For me I think there are different history of gambling which depends on era and region.
When you look at the asia history, you will see that it's quest different from the European gambling history and that of Egypt which is africa.
Difference regions with different history but looking at era and the type of gambling can make it different.

anything from ancient Egypt is really old. if they have relics from that era, they really are in the forefront of the civilization which would led you to think what sort of games do they have besides the unusual dice.

Chinese also have the long history, the country had been around for thousands of years and invented unique devices, they've come up unique games only known to be their identity like the Mahjong or the Chinese checker.

Please rest assured that we will be in touch with you as soon as once they get back to us.

although it make take days, that seem reassuring. we are in the different time already that even with just a small amount, the casinos are mandating KYC from users. its happening not just to cloudbet, the not so popular casinos are doing it also.

i think they should be telling us the minimum amount where they won't be asking KYC.
1754  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is it right time to invest in Cardano? on: August 29, 2022, 06:30:12 AM
Maybe its good to have cute of the pies even a bit. We all knew that ada is a top notch project and still ond evelopment.  You could say they are slow but still they are still ongoing one.  I maybe investing on new projects but think of it as a quietly nice project with a steady pacing.  I am more on new L1 but we cant forget how big this cardano.  Maybe we could assume it still one of the sleeping giant out there that needs attention.

comparing how much you need to have a vote for ETH, you will need more than $40K but with cardano, you can already stake with just few ADA. it won't hurt having some indeed. although they are both centralized and can be used for censorship still.

if you are a fan of decentralization, i think you'll have better idea of whats coming with ETH POS thru NWL podcast today https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WSUL46jHrzQ
1755  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas to pilot CBDC project on: August 29, 2022, 05:57:29 AM
@SFR10, ang pangit naman kung ganyan, parang hindi rin makakatulong kasi mostly for internal or banking purposes lang ginagawa nila.
Ayon sa "article na ito [huling paragraph]", kailangan muna magkaroon ng "law or legislation" bago sila makapag release ng retail CBDC at since mostly cash parin ang ginagamit ng mga Pinoy, then sa tingin ko it'd take them another year or two, to release a retail CBDC.

Grin
1756  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Good trading software for Windows or Linux? on: August 29, 2022, 05:04:22 AM
no real answer for this yet. i think there was a similar thread about this and there are some few good responses to it. one that i can remember was MetaTrader5. i think you can link it to servers of Forex brokers.

try checking this link https://www.binance.com/en/support/announcement/3012b9438595437cac9a7bcbf1b381f7

sadly its not for retail traders. you can however use the Forex brokers MT5 version to trade crypto, not binance such as Oanda.
1757  Economy / Gambling / Re: Some Crazy Fun Facts About Casinos And Gambling You Might Not Know. on: August 28, 2022, 01:45:36 PM

urinating all over or just wear diapers lol. urinate this time in vegas, you'd be kicked out and ban for life.
but this is the worse addict. they just don't want to miss on deal, they rather not leave their chair and keep going. no intervention for these guys already.

in prison, they can bet just about anything like literally a rat race can be done but its more fun with a real casino. you'd learn casino skills when you get out.  Cheesy
1758  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Would you stake stablecoins now? on: August 28, 2022, 01:33:47 PM
16% APY is quite high if you think about it. if its too good to be true,  you better suspect there is something to it. how trusted is beefy?
and don't you think staking stablecoins now will result to missing the opportunity to invest in crypto with low prices?

if i were to decide i don't want to lock my usdt or busd for a year to receive that 16%.  i'd play it and take my chances.
1759  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UFC Fight Night & Main Event: Sportsbet.io Predictions & discussion on: August 27, 2022, 03:16:18 PM
Usman vs Edwards III will still be next year?
this is not good for Usman, he had to recover as quick as possible. he needs not to read the comments on KO of the year youtube video because its will crush him.
I'm sure a trilogy fight is possible for next year, Usman vs Edwards III will be included in the main battle plan list for next year but we need an update on Usman response to his defeat. I was amazed to see Usman coming out of the octagon unaided and he was still walking normally even though his head was kicked hard during the fight. So we just have to wait for the official UFC announcement about the Usman vs Edwards III fight.

no limbs was broken. it was just the jaw. they are healthy athletes, they can recover quickly after a blackout.
but what i'm saying is that it will be best if they could fight right before this year end, probably nov-december. ufc does have fights schedule every weekend. it be wasteful to see fights that are not hyped and with nothing to get excited about. but Usman vs Edwards make a resounding hype in mainstream media, White would love that.

1760  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto and Bitcoin began to be known by the rural community on: August 27, 2022, 02:42:27 PM
How is the condition of Crypto and Bitcoin in your area guys?

crypto is very known in my country thanks to facebook groups and scammers. it helped the word out. so far father in law bought my BTC lol that's how popular BTC is and there are banks already allowing its clients to invest in BTC.

did you talk to the kid wearing that BTC shirt? you could actually become friends with him if you approach. i have some kids staring at me while i was wearing BTC shirt, when i as why they stared at me they point my shirt and ask if i was a bitcoiner.  Cheesy  and the kids brag about the millions of SHIB in their wallet.
