1801  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Binance will be ban in the Philippines? on: July 09, 2022, 05:58:50 AM
binance always abide laws of certain country's regulation. the binance.ph seem already in place which users are directed to binance.com.

binance knew Philippines has the biggest crypto users in Asia, it will be a big loss if they are not going to deal with it as soon as possible. it is not a big problem for users though because there are also huge list of exchanges that  users can go.
1802  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Am I doing the right thing on: July 09, 2022, 01:25:58 AM

How can a newbie invest in good altcoins? I know about BTC and ETH but I think I can make more money from altcoins instead of BTC and ETH, I did my research and I have a few projects in mind but I don't know if they are worthy..

Avalanche, Mina protocol, Phala network and Aleph Zero to name a few

there is money to be made in altcoins, you just have to pick the right ones. try looking into the pages of the coins on top list of coinmarketcap.
among you list, its only avalanche that got a good chance. its one of the popular which you can't go wrong if you go with it. still the most recommended of all is just to stick with BTC. its been emphasized a lot.

among the top altcoins actually, i would rather be with doge. a first choice.
1803  Economy / Economics / Re: WHY ITS SO POSITIVE THIS BEARMARKET. on: July 09, 2022, 01:13:27 AM

i do agree we need this bear market for a bigger rally in the coming bull run but this bear market is not going to clean bad coins out of the listing. just look at how strong the Shib is and its on the top 20 including the doge which people are calling the first meme joke coin.

the market is just the market and there is a technology behind these tokens that are not going to disappoint the long term holders of these tokens.
1804  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: 1-5 min scalping on binance is it worth it on: July 09, 2022, 12:32:07 AM

that's one fast way to lose your money. have you not notice that BTC price can abruptly  jump from 20,000 to 21,000 in less than a minute?

i think everyone who had been in the spot market have tried scalping that frame but personally me have seen it plotted to make me lose my coins. you have got to have a god-like skills to make it.  if the market is steady going to one bullish direction and you are just selling in the 5 minute chart and buy back after a tiny dip.  a bot for this will be useful.
1805  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Top US Energy Company to Explore Bitcoin Mining on: July 08, 2022, 05:55:28 AM
aren't the politicians crying about Bitcoin taking up so much energy causing to heat up the atmosphere of our green planet?   Grin its pretty obvious this time they were all just FUD.

OPEC companies will also take this consideration since its a more proficient way to make money directly without having to make negotiations. money will be earned going directly to the wallet address using the gas to power up the mining farms.
1806  Economy / Economics / Re: Russian Gas ban - A problem for Europe or suicide for Russia? on: July 08, 2022, 05:04:41 AM
So far, everything has followed an advantageous path for Russia; The ruble has appreciated against the dollar and Europe's dependence on Russian gas continues... In fact, such a result is not surprising, because Europe's dependence on Russian gas is not a problem that can be solved overnight. And while Russia sells natural gas in rubles, it is inevitable that the ruble will appreciate against the dollar.

Everything we live in resembles a chaotic period when countries tried to weaken each other before a great world war. We use the world's resources like a weapon rather than sharing them efficiently. I hope that we will all adopt rational policies instead of hostile attitudes as soon as possible.

the world now sees we are dependent to gas whichever it may come from. whether these gas are from Saudi or from Russia we need it and the “Go Green” movement will be set aside when it comes to weakening each other. when leaders want other leaders to just submit to them, the going green movement will not matter.

none of the US, EU and Russian leaders find ways to it harmonious to each other to make something good to happen.
i'm already beginning to think they conspire each other the leaders of West to East to make all the people in the world poor.
1807  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The State of Cryptocurrency Report on: July 08, 2022, 04:21:58 AM

The past few months have been one helluva of a time for those of us in the cryptospace. The major thing which I believe has kept us going is trust and optimism in Bitcoin. Today, I stumbled upon a report by Morning Consult on The Crypto Report: Our Analysts on the State of Cryptocurrency. Below are some of the key findings

1. Cryptocurrency is mainstream
Quote
A wide array of U.S. consumers have avidly adopted cryptocurrency over the last few years, but most of these crypto owners still view it as an asset in their portfolio rather than a form of payment

19. Will central bank digital currencies pose a challenge to crypto?
Quote
Even as over 90 governments pilot or scope issuing a central bank digital currency, we’re a long way from a global consensus that countries should issue their own CBDCs. Adults in several European and Asia-Pacific countries are unsure or skeptical, while Latin Americans are generally more positive.

Pretty interesting isn't it? What do you think about this report? What part do you agree or disagree with?

agree though there are some that is not really agreeable but yes they are true.
because cryptocurrency prices are going up and down, users of crypto will normally just see the coins and tokens they hold as investment and not a currency. one article i've read was that he tends to hold his coins for more 2-3 years to see the price going up before selling.

the leader in CBDC is China, i guess that makes European and Asia Pacific countries skeptical, they are waiting how US will handle this technology so these countries will have a model.  China's is already ahead of CBDC, they could implement it on the countries that makes transactions with them which they are likely going to win this CBDC race.

Latin American Countries embraces China's  leadership though. according to the news, some the Caribbean islands are already using Chinese CBDC. the Venezuelans and Argentinians are up for it.
1808  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: New to staking - is this worth it? on: July 08, 2022, 12:50:00 AM

do not stake inside an exchange you will not be able to take it out any time.

staking is wroth  if you have a ton to invest on the coin. I have no idea with VRA but there are many tokens that is worth staking. Cardano seem to be worth it because right now there are many developers moving there and mostly doesn't need investing but ISPO.
1809  Economy / Gambling / Re: The History Of Gambling. on: July 08, 2022, 12:08:45 AM
I wonder when was the origin of sports betting.  I read it is pretty common during Ancient Rome like horse racing and gladiator fights.
~snip~
^ I think before that is not gambling for them during ancient days, it is a competition or it could be entertainment during when there is a special days and time to time, they found out how to bet. I read this before somewhere else but don't know how to remember it. Gambling before probably the very first common is competition because people not only gamble but also it will be entertained.
However, I have learned a lot with the thread of OP, I don't know that during BC there is a dice game and they already knew it but on my mind, the origin of gambling should be on China.

trading with the lives of slave is probably normal during that time. making both slaves fight so they can have a champ to fight with another champ. these kind of records can be found in the archives. i don't think they call it sports betting during that time.

in the bible, they gamble when David fights Goliath. that should have been one of the history of gambling similar to sports betting but bible i guess is not an appropriate record for sports.
1810  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: trading is good for traders with passive mindset on: July 07, 2022, 07:33:19 AM

Trading can be a hectic endeavor must, especially for those who are not persistent in their trading journey, but those who put all their time and mind into trading will develop skills over time that makes them more stable in trading. So in conclusion trading is for the passive mindset and not for the laggy mindset.
Yup, trading is hectic and if you are a type of person who cant handle a hectic situation then trading is not for you. In trading one must be persistent here to try again if ever they fail on their first few attempts. I cant only agree on some of the terms that you used there like passive mindset.

I think this one is not appropriate in trading since trading is supposed to be an active activity so the mind of the trader must also be active at all times but indeed that a laggy mindset should be avoided. The only lag that can be accepted here is your internet connection because that was unavoidable. Sorry mate but the word passive best applies for investing.

trading is not just short term though.

someone from youtube which i watched weeks ago was that you can make money in  bull market but you can be rich in bear market. traders who are really patient in investing and buying coins in bear market does have a passive mindset as they are looking forward to what will happen in the future.

1811  Economy / Gambling / Re: Stake making new accounts is too easy on: July 07, 2022, 06:20:14 AM
I can make 50 accounts with 50 fake emails. It's too easy.
It's mind boggling that I'm able to deposit 100k worth of crypto using nothing but a fake name and fake email. Lose it. Close account self exclude
Then repeat the process a week after with a new account.
  System identification is non existent

you can do it over an over but its not stake's fault. you know yourself that its you who made the accounts just as you said it. if you want to stop, don't make a new account. but why create account in the first place?

you exclude your first account that should make that account notable to bet. therefore its excluded. solve. just stop visiting stake or any other casino so you won't have urge to try again.
1812  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Kazuto Ioka vs Donnie Nietes II on: July 07, 2022, 02:28:01 AM
it is 72% against 27% favoring Donnie Nietes 11 .

I assume that even in His older age still People are aiming and trusting Him to win this fight?

but the sad part here is if that he losses this one , maybe he will also retire like the 2 famous Filipino Boxer that face defeat and decide for retirement.

Retiring is going to be an option for Nietes IF he losses, which I don't thin he will. If you take a look at his last fight against Reveco last year, he's still looking sharp and mixes his punch very well. Nietes is a smart boxer and an underrated one. He fought Ioka once and that gave him the edge to win the fight, and that explains the odds as well.
And that also explains why people/bettors are trusting him 100%. Being strong and smart at the same time is a formidable force.
For the records as well, he's the longest reigning Filipino world champ boxer.

Nothing to be ashamed if he hang his gloves if he losses this one. Yes, that record alone is hard to break and that could stand still as the record for Filipino boxers for a long time.

I'm not sure if we can call it trust, but we believed that he may have his last performance and after this one, he may have to evaluate, with him and his family if he wanted to continue or not.

a champ in 4 division is not easy to achieved. though his technique is impressive, most of his fights are boring specially when it ends in decisions. he is named "ahas" because he used to move sideways to be behind his opponent. we don't see him doing this anymore. his age must have been a reason which the rematch may likely end differently this time against the younger Kazuto. i watched the previous fight, looks very even.

1813  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: why can't bitcoin be based on something that has value? on: July 07, 2022, 12:49:46 AM

Like gold is not just based on gold if you ask me, it is just the market decided to play with it, and wealthy people are playing with it, you could give them literally manure, and they will make a huge market out of manure and act as if it is something super valuable and buy and sell accordingly.

ever heard of commodities? manure is a commodity just like oil or natural gas. or hay. its tangible product that people will pay for.
Quote
Doesn't mean that it shouldn't be something special, it just means that they could take anything, say it's "backed", and then do whatever they want with it and leverage it 100 times over to make money from it.
ever heard of pork bellies?

the goal is for transactions to be transparent. going back to the basics like fiat or gold or physical transactions will negate that aspect.
Bitcoin is backed by MATH and POW which the hashrate increased so much that if the power is converted to money is really huge. that's what backed BTC.

if you back something with manure then its a shit, maybe a community of farmers will find the manure useful for organic farming but its for the farming community not for all.
1814  Economy / Gambling / Re: The History Of Gambling. on: July 06, 2022, 11:05:54 PM
a dead man bringing with him a pair of dice in his tomb must really be a gambler all his life that he wants to gamble after death.
the old games still exist today and re-innovated for the technology which we now gathered in brick and mortar casinos  like the slot machines.

in the 1800, regulations are probably not yet decided which in spaghetti western movies, a town always has a casino and a brothel in one house. there must be something truth to what we see on those movies. i wonder how the history of gambling regulations started.
1815  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: There is a Museum of Bitcoin Mining History in Caracas, Venezuela on: July 06, 2022, 04:40:25 AM

must be an interesting place to start seeing how far we've been through though BTC is just running more than a decade. feels like we are already dinosaurs.  Venezuela is the last country i thought of having such museum with advocates on decentralization.

if people are just aware that time when we can mind BTC with just CPU or GPU, we're already having thousands to keep for life. Congrats whoever made this museum!
1816  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Take This 2 Minutes Nine Step Quiz To Access Yourself In Gambling on: July 06, 2022, 04:29:14 AM

This self-assessment is based on the Canadian Problem Gambling Index. The higher your score, the greater the risk that your gambling is a problem.

* This information is not intended to be used for diagnosis, treatment, or referral services. Individuals should contact their personal physician and/or their local addiction or mental health agency for further information.

Tip: If your score indicates you might be at risk, there are options available to you. Find local help now..

Canadian really have the huge gambling problem that they have local treatment centers. its a wrong time to be one of the High Risk gambler due to the economy today but its also the reason why some engage in gambling because they expect to solve issues upon winning big amount in gambling. People losing jobs should just find another job but for some they gamble instead to see if luck is on their side.

i'm low risk but no need to ask help.
1817  Other / Archival / Re: Binance Expands Crypto Adoption on: July 06, 2022, 04:12:14 AM
And now with the crypto market falling really hard, the industry has a lot of companies that are having a hard time. A number of them has already succumbed. Some had to lay off workers. Some had to implement extreme measures like freezing withdrawals. Some are barely operating. They all have one thing in common; they all urgently need new funds and new investments coming in.

Here comes the CZ. Lately, it has been reported that Binance CEO eyes '50 to 100 deals' as crypto slump shakes industry. It seems CZ's plate is far from full. It could still accommodate more. It seems this crypto winter season is a perfect time for the man to help stressed crypto companies.

CZ has same plans of FTX Sam Bankman-Fried  but CZ wants to get ahead of the services in paying crypto to taxi/delivery.  since FTX offer free transaction fee, binance.us also did the same which i hope he does it on binance.com as well, the two could have been competing who stays on top.

buying  insolvent lending platforms is likely not CZ's plan, binance is already on top and is trusted as well. concentrating in making crypto adoption will be a way to move forward than buying insolvent lending platform. adopting BUSD or  BNB to taxi services will be acceptable  start.
1818  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Ignore the dip and Invest in Bitcoin for long term on: July 06, 2022, 03:42:01 AM

same here. i can not ignore the dip that i have to sell my BTC to expect another dip. we know the market follows a recovery cycle which is why people are also selling.  if they are buying, that's the time its good to buy as well. if you start DCAing today, that means you really have the money to sustain yourself despite the price continue declining.  we have different preferred strategy but a short term traders would rather by buying at $30k-$35k again as long as the market will not go against their trade.
1819  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Casino can play a role in changing fortune? on: July 06, 2022, 03:27:45 AM
a lot of good story which change the life of a poor person to living a high life and there are also people living a high life to a homeless.  just to balance the role. not everyone gets lucky in casino don't put all your hopes to casinos to give you riches.  if Smith wasn't lucky that time, we wouldn't see Fedex delivering packages today.

Many of us who play casinos, suffer more or less. Many are blaming it again that it is a money-losing machine. In this regard I would like to share a success history by playing casino game. It is only for knowing the truth especially those are don't know the fact.

Many of us may know the name of an international courier service known as FedEx. This courier service company headquarter is in Tennessee, USA. FedEx currently distributes about 1.2 billion parcels a year in 220 countries with an annual revenue of about 3 billion. Smith, founder of FedEx, started his business with 84 million us dollar. At that time he started operations in 35 countries with 8 planes. But at one stage, the price of plane fuel increased and that contemporary time courier service did not become very popular. His company is on the verge of bankruptcy. Smith come back to Las Vegas feeling sad. At that time Las Vegas was known as the capital of casinos. He had only $5,000 when he entered a casino with a depressed mind. His destiny was revealed. He earned about $27,000 with in a week. Smith come back to FedEx headquarter and invest his money on his company even though his money was not enough to run the company but with his hard work and enthusiasm he arranged to send all the parcels. in this way he established his company.
This is really a good success of smith as well as FedEx with the favor of Casino. By the way, i am not sharing it to encourage anyone to the casino.
Not sure if you narrated the whole story accurately or not. I mean he had "84 million US dollar" and started his business with that. He went almost bankrupt, but saved his company by investing those $27,000 USD he won from gambling? How can only $27,000 save someone from bankruptcy? Are you sure it wasn't something like $2.7 million USD?
Anyway, he was just lucky. Not everyone gets lucky. Most of them are "unlucky" and loses almost everything they gamble with!

$27000 is already big during that time but it seem too small to run a company that serves more than 20 countries. maybe its more than this amount.
1820  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: The Sandbox being acquired by Facebook (Meta)? on: July 04, 2022, 08:38:14 AM

I don't know if you have read this, but I quoted from the Co-Founder,
"This will never happen"

https://twitter.com/borgetsebastien/status/1540815270427729921

But the possibility is always there I guess, though I am not sure why Meta would want to acquire SandBox in the first place, they already showing some teaser of their own metaverse. And I don't think SandBox has significant differences with what Meta already have.

there it goes. sandbox doesn't really look like its something that could make useful in real world, its  close to what roblox is today which kids are playing. just as i can see in this sandbox preview. the kids also chat in roblox as i can see my kid is joining to her friends group like a server.

something that i don't know about though, i'm not following the project. the team must have good plans for Sandbox why they won't sell to facebook for more than what its worth.
