1701  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: What is Most profitable coin after ether? Also any thoughts on prohash on: September 15, 2022, 01:53:20 AM

they were also saying that ETC is not profitable. assuming you are not using green energy for it, i guess there is no means to make GPU mining profitable unless these tokens suddenly spied it prices. so it will make sense that ETC will soon go up or XMR or RVN.

is there really no community who will remain in ETHW?
1702  Economy / Economics / Re: U.S. household wealth suffers record drop in second quarter on: September 14, 2022, 02:42:06 PM
Its the fed's balance sheet. They can create money out of thin air to create an illusion of wealth.

The average consumer lacks this power and has no access to this liquidity.

Economic inefficiency introduced by rising fossil fuel costs, supply chain disruptions, higher food prices and inflation. Guarantee household wealth is being destroyed at a high pace.

Inflation alone is known to be a big destroyer of wealth. Add all of the other issues, stacked on top of inflation. Circumstances should be clear.

Everyone has to feel poorer everytime they put gas in their car or buy food. I don't think there's anyone who feels richer now.

Correct - the money printing during COVID made people temporarily more wealthier. Most people during 2020 ended with savings that were higher than it was during the pandemic, which is evident of the fact the U.S. government spent too much on social welfare, either through direct unemployment or through stimulus checks.

The inflation rate is outpacing wage growth, so the "wealth creation" has begun to show its adverse effects. Printing money out of thin air has consequences.

printing is the best advantage of US government since USD is the dominant currency. its the prices of commodities that is problematic since printing doesn't solve this issue. because US is not producing something the way China or India does, unemployment is a lot difficult to solve. thus stimulus checks are necessary to help the people but if it continues its not going to be a help anymore.

and US also made a lot of enemy in the past which turn out they actually need for gas supply like Iran or Saudi for their allies.
1703  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Advice for poor people who wanna get some crypto on: September 14, 2022, 06:29:47 AM
It isn't possible to make stable out of cryptocurrency within a short time period. Also, it needs investment that can grow over time. The market is volatile and we need to find opportunities out of it. Some might get lucky to make money out of cryptocurrency with ease and the same isn't the reality with everyone. Different exchanges and Crypto service providers give sign-up bonuses, but they'll have their own terms and conditions to withdraw and use it.
each exchange event has different rules. but most will ask for KYC. and do certain tasks to get bonuses.
looks like that's what the OP is looking for, and wants to get more assets out of the free bonuses the exchange platform provides. there was no problem if he did it sensibly.

KYC is the rob. but since OP is really in need of money, i think that will do.  people who are very much vulnerable due to crisis will have little choices.
if i am in his position, i would probably put ad to every webpages today for the services i can provide.

OP is a mechanic, that's a skill that everybody need whenever their cars are broken. that is what he should be capitalizing, fix every tiny defects and get regular clients.

1704  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Investing in Casino tokens such as BFG, OWL or TFS on: September 14, 2022, 05:35:47 AM

@Get-Paid.com a more alarming threat that we as investors of casino token is how SEC is considering all cryptocurrency to be a security. with that, they may be able to look for way to shutdown these casinos. when the casino is coerce to comply the regulations that can impose particularly to casino tokens.

It's quite unlikely the SEC would try to shut down these casinos - Pinnacle is an example to a casino/sportsbook that established itself offshore and had so many US channels covering its operations - to date, their business has only grown as they adopted Crypto among the first ones.

Crypto is here to stay, the SEC knows that.
What they can do is increase the interest rates and make the dollar more attractive - currencies with lower value attract less investors and that, by nature, like any other market, naturally - can create problems, and it seems like they are taking this direction already. (It's the Fed, not the SEC, but they surely collaborate etc.)

good to know SEC will not take actions against them. does Pinnacle have a token?

its the tokens that SEC will be treating as security which gives them rights to regulate. although they may not have some arms to really punish these casinos, its the exchanges that will be regulated in order regulate the crypto such as casino tokens.

1705  Economy / Economics / Re: Queen Elizabeth II's death may pose financial constraints for King Charles III on: September 14, 2022, 02:22:15 AM
it got me thinking the other day when someone said in the other thread that UK is very backwards because they are still in monarch. King's decisions still reflects PM's decision. if liz truss does the same as the previous boris johnson, the economic crash will still go on.

energy crisis starts the cause of street protest. its going to be hard to control anymore when the entire country is unsatisfied with how they govern. this winter could be more devastating to entire Europe.

1706  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Crypto Casinos vs money laundering. on: September 14, 2022, 01:55:41 AM
KYC is definitely not enough. It's a security thing yes, but not in the form of immediate action. If the authorities don't exactly do anything e.g., perform a check specifically on that casino, then it wouldn't really matter even if the casino had thousands of KYC details in their system. I mean I think no one is dumb enough to include in their KYC details the fact that they were money laundering. Checking each individual even with KYC would require a ton of manpower and I don't think casinos which is a business would be willing to do so much for the government.

exactly, why would they submit real kyc data if they plan to launder. they'd better be just use cash to launder. i'm not that rich to have tried it but most of the informed crooked rich guys says its easier to launder in cash than in crypto. why should they go all the troubles using crypto casino when there is a safer way.
1707  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Canelo vs Golovkin 3 - September 17 on: September 13, 2022, 02:07:39 AM

the tdlr is that you will know GGG's skill had deteriorated once Jake Paul challenges him. didn't happen yet.

its the official scorecard that counts though. there is still politics in boxing, golden boy is not very different to top rank. predictions are still saying Canelo will win. in bitcointalk users its GGG. Golovkin winning this fight will follow talks about 4th fight too right?

^ yes its worth investing and you can gradually increase your stake thru the revenue you receive from staking the casino tokens.

@Get-Paid.com a more alarming threat that we as investors of casino token is how SEC is considering all cryptocurrency to be a security. with that, they may be able to look for way to shutdown these casinos. when the casino is coerce to comply the regulations that can impose particularly to casino tokens.
1710  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The Rise of Mobile Gambling Is Leaving People Ruined and Unable to Quit on: September 12, 2022, 02:07:29 AM
It is obvious that with these technological advancements also come some negativities for a lot of people, great example outlined here are gamblers who cannot control their gambling urges. Usually self-exclusion solves this problem. But there are still cases wherein people can access other gambling platforms due to a weak self-exclusion system. By this time, it would be best if the gambler would seek advice from a psychologist regarding their condition. Intervention really is the key and perhaps the last resort for addicted gamblers if they keep on finding ways to gamble even though they want to stop.
Gambling addiction even from mobile gaming has also become rampant these days maybe because mobile gambling has become so easier that even kids these days have learned to access on it and become totally attached. The reason why most of the kids these days become lazy from doing household chores and sometimes turn into dishonest kids so they can ask money from their parents.
Only parents have control what the kids doing with phone, so it is responsibility of parents to keep away children from dangerous websites. Using various softwares like VPN of Parental Control services can be helpful for avoiding it. I have seen underage people using their dad's credit card to play slots and make some money to buy new stuff. It doesn't make sense to blame casino but when they ask KYC, it becomes hard to tell parent and explain situation.
These days keeping kids away from mobile is really a hard task, because the education is somehow connected with mobile phones. Kids are allowed to learn through different applications. This is good, but it also have its drawbacks. Parents need to keep watching, but at some point they itself find it to be a disturbance to their kids. Providing them with the limited access could stop them from entering unwanted sites.

kids actually are also hard to control. they now know too much that they'd curse and call me gay when i limit their access to the internet. its the way they contact friends and classmates in school. internet is useful to them. but they all learn all this thru the internet too. if they start to use their access to gamble, i guess i'd have to really use my most powerful tool, my belt.

government today also limit parents to execute consequences when they are committing mistakes. during my time, my parents whip me with rice cooker wire. if i whip my kids using wire, i'd be sleeping in a prison cell the next day.
1711  Economy / Economics / Re: India as a developed country by 2047 on: September 11, 2022, 01:10:20 PM

india is close to becoming like china today, they are also manufacturer of many things that are exported in many part of the world. 2047 is a long way, this will give him more time and all they need is just to play it right being neutral in conflicts.

india needs the support of gas supplier to run the industrialization, russia proving gas price discount up to 30% puts the country in the advantage. modi is quite a great leader for them.
1712  Economy / Speculation / Re: Purchased at $23,500, when should I start to panic? When should I average down? on: September 11, 2022, 01:02:34 PM

you are still in a good position if you zoom out. a lot of short term investors would panic however if it really goes below $17,000 because that means a break out.

there is still a battle against Gensler (SEC) when it comes to crypto regulation clarity. if this is still a looming threat there is a reason to panic. panic sell results to a loss though. the decision still belongs to him
1713  Economy / Economics / Re: Which fiat money are you holding right now in case of emergency needs? on: September 11, 2022, 12:28:33 PM
I'm thinking about four currencies to hold for the next 2 years or more:
  • Swiss Franc
  • Norwegian Krone
  • Chinese Yuan
  • Japanese Yen
That's what Bitcoin is for there to be an option where buying more during a downturn will store huge value in the future. But the fact is that when you hold fiat money, whether fiat is safe, even when inflation will still lose its value. Do you think inflation will not affect the currency you hold options?
When inflation hit and you still hold the fiat for storage of value? maybe you missed a lot about how the value store itself functions.

if BTC is accepted by hospitals, that would be cool.

in case of emergency means the one we have in home stash, mostly would answer the local currency.
USD is rising compare to the local currency.  its probably good to still have USD. the ones that i plan is to go in DEFO (decentralized forex) in WAVES platform where traders can buy digital yuan. i've been meaning to try it out.
1714  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🥊 The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: September 11, 2022, 12:17:33 PM
@YuginKadoya Edwards will also be easy for Chimaev. he has sturdy take down defence against others but they don't fight the way Chimaev does.

that one more fight you are talking about, would it be Usman? Usman is fit to defeat this beast and will likely have a trilogy with Edwards. thats what it might just be and Usman will be back to his place again.
1715  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Regulations on proof of work might be coming on: September 10, 2022, 04:15:11 PM
It's going to be inevitable, despite it being total utter nonsense due to the fact that there are much bigger environmentally-deadly industries to regulate.

Always expect attacks from the regulators, and I'm going to bet that this will be next.

enforcing the banning law will be difficult for the authorities however. we could see china had done it in 2021 but there are still miners on the ground in China mining BTC as measured by hash rate. Bitcoin is the rebel they couldn't take control but this is understandable as government doesn't want any currency competing the USD. they may be successful in the first few months in enforcing but eventually the miners will be back.
1716  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Jake Paul VS Anderson Silva October 29th on: September 10, 2022, 05:11:32 AM

I don't get why everyone is bashing on a young fighter who has a couple of fights, going against other beginner boxers. It's like they expect Jake Paul to go against Cancelo or someone, but then they'd be saying Cancelo took a easy fight. I don't think there's any winning in this, people just won't be happy regardless.

I say good on Jake. He's made a career in multiple industries, and quite frankly has the boxing purists actually wanting to watch his fights now, whether that's to route against him or not. Mayweather built a career on people wanting to see him get knocked out.

Jake Paul has been a pro for 2.5 years already. He is not just a beginner anymore. It is time to step up his level of competition beyond no-hoper washed up athletes if he wants to be treated as anything besides a freak show attraction. It's not a great sign for the state of boxing when this kind of garbage is getting so much hype and media attention.

Jake is just hated so much because of his bravado. that's why most wanted him fall. but this guy is smart. he probably is watching Silva work out and find out what Silva can do at his age before making some deals for both of them to fight. if he is picking a fight, it shouldn't be anything to be surprised as well. but Silva could actually have the edge against Jake.

1717  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Ethereum Merge will change Ethereum blockchain consensus on: September 10, 2022, 04:43:03 AM
the chain will split with though so in case ETH POS will not work,  investors can always go back to the ETH POW. that is sort of a back up plan for everyone in case this shift to energy friendly ETH will flop.

for the obvious part, nothing stops the stakers from selling ETHpos which i really believe will fail. while POW makes the miners aim for higher prices because of the energy cost.
1718  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What's next for cryptocurrency? on: September 10, 2022, 03:42:24 AM
So,friends
What do you think about today for cryptocurrency?
What do you think,is it the beginning of a bullish period?
Looks like a good correction in a positive direction
I think that this isn't yet the turning point of the Bitcoin and the crypto market right now, what I do think in my opinion and what is about to  happen is a move towards the $30k price level with a week double bottom pattern and coupled with the Ethereum merge event coming up on the 19th of September will put us in that $30k price target, then after that I do think that the "sell the news" event will happen plus the Federal Reserve meeting and decision on interest rate hyke on 22/09/2022 event could pull the market back and a grab of liquidity will occur, because institutional traders like the double bottom a lot and that grab of liquidity could put Bitcoin to test the $12k it monthly order block, where the will be very much exhausted and we could finally see the bottom of the market.

you are scaring us  Grin

there could be truth to this because when the pump in the previous week where price touches $24k, but the charts doesn't look like it pivot to turn the market up to start a bull run. we have a long way to go still and the crisis all over the world may affect that BTC price. there is even a US congress  bill that could lead to BTC mining ban.
1719  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Regulations on proof of work might be coming on: September 10, 2022, 03:21:29 AM

they know very well renewable could not last in power crunching mining devices. if they are doing this, its their country  that will just be affected. other countries will continue mining using fossil fuels. but i wouldn't be surprising this law will cause conflict again to countries where miners are free to mine BTC.

this could be one the reason for declining BTC dominance also  because ETH seem to be the most preferred by the macro investors.
1720  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UFC Fight Night & Main Event: Sportsbet.io Predictions & discussion on: September 09, 2022, 11:03:36 PM
With the missed weigh by the main event fighter Chimaev.
So he fights Holland instead and Ferguson will fight Diaz.
Dana White announces it here:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g2LhWQp5y-k

confirmed it here. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/UFC_279

they messed it up our picks. holland isn't going to win against khamsat still. all that happened yesterday and the cancelled conference was i think all because of this new sorting out. did the team sees nate will surely win that he he chicken out and they see kevin has the chance?
