Global warming is very real and you can actually get the data like the level of ice decrease and the amount of gases harming the ozone layer. Even without datas, just think, the ever increasing pollution you see around, those are healthy? It makes sense to believe that they will cause harm and hence leads us to global warming, ozone layer depletion etc etc.

Where I live it's not "ever increasing pollution" it's "ever decreasing pollution."

Can China liberate California from USA? There are many cultural and economic differences there, I guess they could become a developed and prosperous independent country without the influence of Washington.

You do understand that the reason we're talking about Donald Trump liberating Hong Kong is because HK isn't supposed to be apart of China, and they're attempting to integrate them as part of their nation through force.

California has always been apart of the US.

He can't even seem to give proper attention to underserved communities what makes us think he will care about people in hong kong

Explain.

There is a long cultural concept of there only being "One China."

I think this is being carried too far by those in china who would "re integrate Hong Kong."

Hong Kong should be handled as a territory, separate and with it's own rules, but still part of the "One China."

Looks pretty stupid to me to injest any quantity of h2o2.

Shhh. Don't tell him.

H2O2 therapy has been shown to cure cancer in some people... IF IT IS USED PROPERLY. Google it.

Drink up buddy. Put your money where your mouth is. Go on... I wanna see a youtube video of you drinking hydrogen peroxide.

You said you already drink it commonly enough.

One problem the German pilots had with a crash landing of the ME262 rocket plane fighter was that a ruptured oxidizer tank would cause the hydrogen peroxide to get into the cockpit.

Then the pilot, in spite of his protective rubber suit, would be melted.

Greta Thunberg: "Why should we study for a future that is being taken away from us?... Some people say we should study to become climate scientists or politicians, so that we can, in the future, solve the climate crisis. But by then, it will be too late. We need to do this now."

CLIMATE CHANGE RELIGION: Seminary Students Offer Confessions To Plants In Ritual

Seminary defends confessing sins to plants: ‘Beautiful, moving ritual’

Students at a seminary in New York City recently confessed their sins to plants during a chapel service, an experience that drew nationwide ridicule but that a campus spokesman defended as a “beautiful, moving ritual” in a statement to The College Fix.

On Tuesday, Union Theological Seminary in Manhattan shared on its Twitter account a photo of a group of students speaking to an arrangement of house plants. “Today in chapel, we confessed to plants. Together, we held our grief, joy, regret, hope, guilt and sorrow in prayer; offering them to the beings who sustain us but whose gift we too often fail to honor…

According to its website, Union Theological Seminary was founded in 1836 by nine Presbyterian ministers, who were seeking a “new vision for theological education.” Long known as a center of progressive Christian theology, it has graduated and hosted liberal thinkers from Harry Fosdick to Cornel West. Elsewhere on its website it states that “the fragility of our planet” is one of “the most profoundly challenging issues of our contemporary experience.”

-------------------------------------------
The best way to show the respect you have for Nature is to:

1) buy some pot planters from Home Depot
2) get the plants out of their natural habitat
3) force them to listen to your sins
4) watch them slowly die in a big blue plastic bin on the sidewalk once you are done asking them for forgiveness.

BADecker, I recommend you go drink a bottle of h2o2 to "prove" how healthy hydrogen peroxide is. Do it on video, and I'll probably give you a couple satoshi you silly troll you.

Now what is that all about?

Pussy. You're too scared to prove that hydrogen peroxide is healthy. Go on, drink up.

The Green New Steal?
2610  Other / Politics & Society / Re: 2020 Democrats on: September 21, 2019, 01:26:13 AM
I'm shocked that anyone who's heard Biden speak recently would give him any chance to win, let alone vote for him. Then again, I can't imagine anyone trusting anything Trump says so what do I know.

Warren seems to be a more acceptable (to the DNC and hardcore democrats) version of Sanders so the fight is probably going to be between her and Biden, barring some scandal. Biden's pervy paws might do him in.

Warren is a joke, come on. All of them are honestly just fucking clowns, they look like characters from a TV show, it's not even close.

When the Dem was Hillary and I strongly felt she was evil and Trump was acceptable. This time around I'm seeing an absence of content and what appears to be a breakdown of the Dem traditional philosophical principles and a group of candidates that say things that make no sense.

Is the breakdown the result of the party being in the transitional phase toward a socialist, totalitarian advocacy? If so, is it internal US or external influences or the natural drift that is the cause?
2611  Other / Politics & Society / Re: 2020 Democrats on: September 19, 2019, 04:52:42 PM
All the Democrats would have to do to be competitive against Trump would be to drop the ultra left nonsense and nominate a medium left of center "pretty boy or pretty girl"

They have that guy already, his name is Joe Biden. I think Trump is going to mop the floor with him in the debates. If not, at best it will produce another situation similar to the last time around where Trump loses the popular vote but wins the electoral college. Biden is completely uninspiring, but on the other hand, at least he's not Hillary. What he loses due to the debates he will regain by not being Hillary. I dunno. We still have a long way to go.

<<<cringing>>>

.....

I'm 100% pro Trump but that's not the guy we want on this.

It gets even worse when someone tries to overcome Biden's deficiencies by pairing him with the one who will appeal to minorities/sex/viewpoints.

Biden is like running Dole against Bill Clinton...

Welcome to Camp Bernie.

I'm surprised you gave Kamala Harris as high a shot of winning the primary as you did.

I am in agreement with Biden being likely unable to beat Trump in the national election, but I don't think the DNC wants anybody other than Biden, perhaps they are still sore over Bernie putting up such a good fight against Hillary last time around. Of course it was the DNC that did themselves in by plotting against Bernie. That was stupid. Looks like they are on track to do it again.

Here's how Real Clear Politics has each dem primary candidate right now:

All the Democrats would have to do to be competitive against Trump would be to drop the ultra left nonsense and nominate a medium left of center "pretty boy or pretty girl", or "bad guy from the hood" candidate.

That would be someone that said "Hello, no!" to reparations, "It's absurd!" to the Green New Deal.

The current Democratic party does not represent the Democratic voter, but instead some twisted and sick international progressive agenda.

I never really cared much about being patriotic.  I just happened to be born on some piece of land and that doesn't mean I will fight or die for a country that is just run by wealthy people that are above the law.  Eventually the world will be one giant country and one government anyways, we are slowly heading towards that.
That's very unlikely. It is possible that governments will fade to a less significant influence on people...

So now you're going to demonize business owners who are just opening another revenue stream for themselves? This is the sort of behavior that is going to forever hurt the crypto community. There's no reason to accept a business owner to go full hard on for crypto if they can't use crypto for anything. For them, accepting Crypto is just going to be like accepting another payment method.

Yes, some business owners are going to be receptive with owning this speculative asset and considering it an investment. But for most people, this is just another means of making money and growing their business.

.....
Misunderstanding. We're in agreement.

I believe it was a conspiracy.
It is so difficult in a country like the US to let an airplane fly so low in a place with so many skyscrappers around.
Everything seems so wrong in this story, in a country with so many security levels...

Now it seems like something that would never happen.

When it happened though, there had been no real safety features on a plane. The doors to the cockpit weren't locked, barely any screening at airports, no air marshals, no large scale intelligence at airports to be looking for this sort of behavior.

If we look at it from a lens of today, one that is pretty much relying on all of the intelligence we have today and the security features it's going to be hard for you to see it happening.

But it did happen, its' not a conspiracy theory. Two planes hit the WTC. One hit the pentagon, and another was going for the White House and it was taken over by the people on board.

What else is there to know about it?
No real safety features? Bull. There are all kinds of safety features everywhere on aircraft and in their design. What you are not considering is the viewpoint of an enemy, who searches for a weak point and then exploits it. At any moment, any year, such a person exists and is your enemy and is searching for weak points.

We're missing the mark COMPLETELY if we're just telling businesses to accept bitcoin and end it there. You either get all of the people that they have to pay onboard as well, or they use a service like bitpay, OR they don't use any of these at all.

Bitpay is designed for and intended to be used by parties that know NOTHING about crypto and don't care to. They just want to put more little symbols next to the PAY button.

Yeah, okay?

What's wrong about that?

I don't think theres an issue with a company giving people choices in payment. Not every company is going to want to go full crypto because it's impossible for them to use the crypto anyway to further their business.

Did you even read what I wrote?

I thought I did. My point though is there is no "should" or "ought" or "we need to ... " when some mindless business owner's just looking to expand means of payments.

As for whether there's something wrong with what bitpay is doing of course there is. They are kissing ass of powers that be exactly the same way that MC and Visa are doing. That's a dangerous road, as is evidenced by this very thread's title.

By the way, never believe these kinds of guys when they come up with flimsy excuses why they didn't send money or coin to someone. NEVER!
