2621  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How much of your total capital is in crypto? on: July 23, 2021, 09:12:36 AM
Have you ever calculated how much of your total capital is in cryptocurrency?

In my case, i have 60% of my money in bank accounts, 20% in stock market, 5% in cash and only 15% in crypto.

In my case the percentage of my capital in crypto was always quite low like maximum 5% or so, but we started to remodel our house a few months ago and my FIAT savings are now melting away like a small ice cube in the Sahara desert, because everything is just so ridiculously expensive here in Germany Lips sealed. Also even though my crypto portfolio went down more then 90% since the beginning of may i am still in the profit zone and at the moment i would guess that the percentage of my capital in crypto is at the moment around 25%, if you only look at FIAT and crypto and take no real estate into account. The amounts i invested into crypto are relatively small though.
2622  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: July 22, 2021, 02:13:24 PM
PSG wants to keep striker Kilian Mbappe with a new contract. Reportedly, the Parisians intend to offer Mbappe the same salary as Neymar's. But the new agreement, the Brazilian receives about 30 million euros a year. To offer Mbappe a new contract on the same terms as Neymar's, PSG is ready to sell 9 players. Mauro Icardi, Alphonse Areola, Abdou Diallo, Tilo Kerer, Leandro Paredes, Idrissa Gueye, Pablo Sarabia and Arno Muinga will be put on transfer this summer to ease the payroll burden.

Pretty crazy if PSG is really willing to "sacrifice" 9 players just to be able to hold 1 other player. Yes of course Kilian Mbappe is probably the most wanted player on the planet right now and also has the highest market value with 160M€. In the end he is just 1 player though and no matter how good he is he can not win a match alone, that was also pretty obvious in the UEFA EURO a few weeks ago, in the match against switzerland he did not really perform well. This is not a critique because every player no matter how good they are will also have weaker periods where they are not at their highest level, but that makes it even more crazy if they would really let 9 players go just to compensate for 1 other player.
As far as i know PSG even signed his 14 year old brother Ethan a few months ago. I just hope they did that because they think Ethan is a good player and not only to give Kilian another reason to stay.
2623  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ELON MUSK, JACK DORSEY, CATHIE WOOD TO DISCUSS BITCOIN Today! BTC up or down? on: July 22, 2021, 02:07:14 PM

The conference will happen in a few hours and there might be massive dump or pump after the conference? What is your prediction?

Elon is a player who is hard to predict. But as Jack and Cathie are BTC supporters, I assume it is more likely to pump after the meeting.

Talking about prediction, I think it might become the next hot trend when DeFi market is getting popular. I have been following several DeFi prediction products and here they are:

1. Polars: The new DeFi concept for the Prediction Market (https://polars.io/)
2. Polkamarkets: Autonomous Prediction Market Protocol Powered by DeFi, built on Polkadot via Moonbeam Network (https://www.polkamarkets.com/)
3. X Predict: A decentralized cross-chain prediction platform (https://x-predict.com/)

Feel free to share other DeFi Prediction products you know

So this time around it seems Elon Musk talked again very positive about crypto, he even said that Tesla will probably accept bitcoin as a payment again pretty soon. The price increase of yesterday probably was related to this conference, but it is also pretty obvious that statements from Elon Musk pro or against bitcoin don't have the same impact as they had a few months ago. That is just a logical thing to happen because the more often you do the same thing the lesser the effect this action has, it's just in the human nature to don't really care about thing that much that happen very often in the same way.
Regarding DeFi prediction projects you can also check out TotemFi. The price at the moment is really low so it is probably a good entry point.
You can stake your Totem Tokens and make predictions if they are right you will get additional Totem Tokens and BTC as rewards.

2625  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Olympics 2020/2021 : Discussion & Predictions on: July 22, 2021, 10:22:50 AM
olympic football always has a chunk of uncertainty due to FIFA empowering clubs to decide whether to release their top players. this tournament can be a great leveller where traditional heavyweights can end up with weak contingents.there is also a glorious history of sowing the seeds for future champions who seize the opportunity and burst into global reckoning.the kick off is on July 21 and the final is played in tokyo on August 7. There are four groups of four teams and two teams from each progress to the knockout stage.

I totally agree with you here. Although I would certainly claim to know football pretty well myself, almost all the players on the teams are unknown to me, except for those of my own nation, of course. The reason for this is of course that it is practically an U-21 tournament with 3 additional players who are allowed to exceed this age limit. This rule makes perfect sense, of course, because unlike most sports, the Olympics are not really a highlight for footballers and are also difficult to reconcile with the schedules of the European leagues.
That is also the reason though why i find it so hard to make a good researched bet on the olympic football games, because i just don't know the players well enough.

2626  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Low market cap coins that you are interested in? on: July 22, 2021, 10:13:34 AM
What are some low market cap coins that you are holding and think might be big? No BSC shitcoins or dog coins, please.

I personally have a small stack of TRIAS, RAMP, OGN, 1Inch, LTO, Injective Protocol and a rather sizeable stack of Rose (Oasis Protocol).

I mostly own small cap coins because during the last few months i mostly invested into presales of new projects which was great during the bullrun because i made several X's there but now that we see falling prices since more than 2 months my portfolio is down more than 90% because the small and new projects always go down much faster and fiercer than old and established coin. Nevertheless, there are some projects that I have good hope will still be around in a few years and will perform well. These are: Poolz, O3Swap and Collateral Pay. When we see the next bullrun, whenever that might be i think the chances are pretty high that these projects will see new ATH's then.
2627  Local / Altcoins (Deutsch) / Bondly wurde gehackt, keine Bondly Token kaufen! on: July 21, 2021, 12:45:32 PM
Hallo zusammen,

Der Hack ist zwar schon ein paar Tage her, aber ich habe mir gedacht ich poste das mal hier, vielleicht hält es den einen oder anderen ja davon ab, Tokens zu kaufen die in Zukunft wahrscheinlich wertlos sind.

Was ist passiert?

2628  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: July 21, 2021, 09:13:06 AM
As anyone noticed that transfer fees are increasing year by year but the amount of footballers that are now running down their contract is also increasing? Do you think this is linked? Many clubs cannot afford the excessive fees and probably discuss with the player and tell them to leave on a free and they will get a bigger contract.

It really is true that there seem to be more players at the moment than in previous seasons who have their contracts expire and then move on loan. Among them are even world-class players like David Alaba from FC Bayern and Donnarumma from AC Milan, both of whom have a market value of more than €55m.  It is obvious that the clubs selling these two players did not plan it this way, as they are now missing out on a transfer sum of €60 million and more. I think a big factor why the contract extensions with the players fail is still the Covid pandemic. The clubs are still not sure how long they will have to do without the full income from ticket sales and are therefore not willing to pay such high salaries as they did 2 years ago. Clubs that have oligarchs and sheikhs behind them don't really care about that problem though because the financial fairplay is a joke.
2629  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: HOLDING TOKEN TO EARN DIVIDENDS on: July 21, 2021, 09:04:20 AM
We were told to hold token in wallet for the long term. in the earlier stage. most projects promises holders and long term investors that holding will generate more benefits and interest if they can hold the token for long term. today, None of these tokens offered dividends for holding, rather they creat campaigns for staking and ask investors to deposit.
My questions, are the long term benefits of crypto changing or it is just useless to hold since you can partake in farming and staking programs.

I don't really understand your question as you still need to hold the coins if you want to stake with them or farm them. Also i think that staking and farming are a really great tool so that normal users can get some additional benefits from holding a coin for a long time. By holding a coin i mean to buy them and then put them into a staking contract of course. Most of those staking pools also have really nice APY's which are above 100% most of the time so it makes a huge difference if you just buy a coin and have it in your wallet for 2 or 3 years or you buy it and put it into a staking pool. That way you will have a multiple of the coins after a few years.
2630  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling on friendly matches on: July 21, 2021, 07:13:02 AM
The most common friendly matches are both the international  country and club friendlies, long time ago I have seen these type of matches as a way to bet and have fun, many of my betting result are positive most especially if I bet on a single match. The country or club that will win is not certain but I noticed staking on over 1.5 or over 2.5 is always most of the time results to a good outcome.

Betting on the outcome of friendly matches seems extremely risky to me. I realise that betting always involves a certain amount of risk, but in friendly matches there are simply more factors that make the outcome of a match very difficult to predict, especially during that period of a season (or pre-season). Take for example the friendly match of FC Bayern vs FC Cologne. Cologne won this match with 3-2. In retrospect, this may seem quite logical, as most Bayern players were active at the EURO and therefore had not yet started training, but would you really have bet on a win for FC Cologne because of this? Bayern still had players like Upamecano and Choupo-Moting in the starting line-up.
2631  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why do people still use ETH? on: July 21, 2021, 07:03:59 AM
My acquaintance with Ethereum began in 2017, then it was a very good technology. Probably everyone remembers, ICO, Bounty, crazy profits! I have been through this and am very grateful to ETH, but now everything is different.

If you did not use DEX, did not trade in the DeFi sector, then I envy you very much, because it was simply impossible to do this on the Ethereum blockchain LOL)

You know that the whole DeFi-thing could only happen and arise because of the possibilities that the Ethereum ecosystem offers? Without Ethereum the only thing we could do on the blockchain would probably still be to send x-amount of a currency to another wallet and sign a message and that would probably be it. Yes of course it is also true that the transaction fees on the Ethereum network were so ridiculously high during the height of the Defi-hype, with several hundred $ worths of fees for a dex-swap, that during that period it was not really usuable for a "normal" user because the transaction fees were often higher than the actual transfered or swapped volume. The ETH devs know about that problem though and it already has gotten much better and it hopefully will continue to move into that direction. So i am pretty sure that ETH will continue to be the number 2 crypto-project behind BTC.
2632  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: It takes years to build a reputation and seconds to break it on: July 20, 2021, 02:08:41 PM
For a business to build a reputation, it takes a lot of money and time to be invested to achieve this through marketing, brand awareness and all other activities.

But my question is why would they risk all they have invested to a few players by scamming them? I for one know the forum will side with the player that have been allegedly being scammed in most cases but how do casino's/bookies  protect themselves if not terms and conditions?

If people buy reviews to paint a picture of a good standing business,  what would stop the competition from buying people to tarnish a competitors reputation to have an advantage in the business?

I think there are two different reasons why this can happen. Firstly, the business was established for the sole purpose of disappearing sooner or later with the users' funds. If that was my intention as a company founder, I would do it the way you described. I would try to create a well-functioning, visually appealing online casino and then, as soon as I have a large number of users on my platform and a correspondingly large amount of capital on the wallets, I would pull off the scam.
The second reason is that the casino itself is totally legit but you were a victim of an criminal employee of that casino who somehow managed to steal your funds. In that case the casino should compensate you.
Of course there is also the possibility that the accusations are just faked by a competitor business.

2633  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are we already in meme coins mania? on: July 20, 2021, 01:59:49 PM
First DeFi then very short NFTs and now I see we are or entering the Meme Coin mania times on crypto markets.

So tell me, are we in meme coin mania already?

https://poocoin.app/tokens/0x984ae7a0e32ae2813831b3d082650e1eca7a1996

I think you are pretty late to the party when you say we are entering the meme-coin mania now. This stuff is going on since the middle of April and i even think that it slowed down now.. thank god for that. I also think that those meme-coin hype was really bad for the whole crypto market overall and it was probably one of the main factors why the market is dumping since the beginning of may. Which serious investor or financial institute would decide to join the crypto market when they see that projects like shiba-inu, elon-one or babydoge have much more trading volume and market cap than most of the new projects that actually have a use-case. I hope that in a few months that whole meme-coin craze is completely gone.
2634  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: July 20, 2021, 10:33:43 AM
You really think Bayern would be willing to sell off Robert Lewandowski even with the right offer from Chelsea because, I seriously doubt that. Who is going to replace him should he be sold off by the Champions of Bundesliga? There is apparently, no one. You can imagine how Bayern Munich struggled in the just concluded UCL for which, they eventually got eliminated all because, there star man Robert Lewandowski wasn't on the pitch. For sure they've got good players but, Lewandowski has proven to be better at being more productive to the team. He ain't going anywhere and Chelsea has better turn there focus towards other suitable deals.
Bayern is a world grand, which can buy any player he is interested in, but not sell. And the fact that Chelsea beat Bayern Munich in the Champions League is more a lucky coincidence than a well-deserved victory, although the winners are not judged. Bayern can sell Lewandowski in one case, if only they find in his place a new equivalent replacement, and I do not see such a replacement at the moment.

Bayern is a absolutely world class club that is on par with the best of the world but so far the club officials of Bayern refused to make any completely crazy transfers with fees of over 100M€, but they basically had to make such a transfer if they let Lewandowski go because they need a proper replacement for him, if such a player even exists at the moment. Lewandowski still has a contract with munich until the end of the 22/23 season so bayern could still sell him after the next season. Maybe Bayern is planning to let lewandowski go after the coming season and then replace him with Haaland. So far it looks like Haaland will stay for another year in Dortmund, so the timing could be perfect here. That would be the first 100M€+ transfer for bayern of course.
2635  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The market situation is deteriorating day by day.. on: July 20, 2021, 10:25:49 AM
How are you my friends i hope you are all well. There are two types of people in the market, some big investors and some small investors, Big investors don't care about this situation but it is very sad for small investors. When the market falls sharply, I wonder how the market situation can suddenly do that. I know that market graph charts and news mean a lot, But if you look at them, the market is going in the right condition, then suddenly it starts falling down, for no apparent reason. This shows that the market is taken up by itself and then brought down by itself. I want to know how long this market situation will last, And when will the market start to go up?

I don't think anyone here can tell you how long the market will be in this downward trend and when the market starts to grow and when we will see increasing prices again. I am also a small investor and at the moment it really hurts to see my portfolio losing value almost every single day. At the moment my holdings are almost worthless and they are down around 93% since the beginning of may.  Embarrassed
I also have a hard time to understand that kind of market movements i mean i understand that when a news about a new crypto ban in china comes out that the market will react to that and starts falling, but for yesterdays and todays price drop i don't really see a reason. I guess we small investors just have to live with that.
2636  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is gambling attracted to emotion or luck on: July 20, 2021, 05:22:51 AM
I have noticed that sometimes when I gamble, I used to win unexpectedly even when I never intended to bet. The most shocking thing is that I usually win when my mind is not that prepared to gamble probably jokingly. Anything I'm focused and well prepared I usually lose. I don't know if this is affiliated to luck or just emotions. Does this happens to others?

I am pretty sure that the winning rate of your bets does not depend on whether you were serious and strained when you placed them or whether you placed them in a relaxed state, because in the end your state of mind at the time of the bet placement has no influence at all at the outcome of the sports matches you bet on. With things that you can influence, you may well achieve much better results if you don't get so uptight about it and take it more lightly. I think your impressions have something to do with selective perception. That is to say, these unexpected winnings have simply impressed themselves on you much more clearly than the rest of your bets.
2637  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Why the hate on binance exchange on: July 20, 2021, 05:16:05 AM
Is there any tangible reason why binance exchange is been hunted? It seems they just hate success or what? Anyways no matter what they try CZ is a determined fellow, that's why binance made it this far, it's my best exchange and won't be changing any time soon

I think it is simply human nature to become sceptical or suspicious as soon as someone, be it a person or a company, has too much success and influence. So it is not really surprising that a lot of people are critical about CZ and his company. I have to say i don't know any BNB myself (except a small fraction for transaction fees on the bnb chain), but i still can acknowlede the success of CZ and binance, but I can also understand why some people have reservations about them. It is never good when one company or person in a specific area becomes to powerful and influential and i think binance has almost reached that level of influence now after they also purchased coinmarketcap.com.
2638  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Dissapointments of the creation of the thousands of failed altcoins. on: July 19, 2021, 10:04:55 AM
What is the purpose of altcoins? This is the very first question I had when I join cryptocurrency. At first, I was thinking that it has no use for just bitcoin should be the real focus and not an alternative coin. However, later on I learn that altcoins are still great even if it has been created for the purpose as an alternative coin to bitcoin and at the same time other altcoins has projects and could be like also a sort of investment that whenever you get a good altcoin one can earn huge to it.

But there are things that bother me about altcoins,

There are too mnany great altcoins in the market already. In fact there are many of it created and working good as well even listed in coinmarketcap.com having good assets.

Any opinion to that matter?

I agree with you on that point that there are a lot of altcoins out there and i would even say that a huge share of them are completely unnecessary and it would be better if they would not exist like for example all those meme-coins that came up within the last months and completely took away volume and market cap from other new coins that have a purpose.
I don't really agree though that it is a bad thing if a new altcoin tries to do something that another altcoin is already doing. I mean that is normal competition like it should be in a free economy, maybe it is annoying if you were a hodler of that coin that existed before and now drops in price because some new coin makes the same thing better, but if both projects are legit they should both be able to survive. I mean just look at car companies, there are like 50 of them in the world and most of them  still manage to make a profit.
2639  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Motosport General discussion tread --- Formula1, MotoGP, WTCC, ETCC, DTM..... on: July 18, 2021, 03:02:28 PM
This guy...  Lol.  The stewards should give Hamilton a penalty.  That was ruthless and what a dirty driver.  Embarassing.

Edit:  From the replays viewed from Hamilton’s camera it looked like it was just a racing incident.  But from top view it looked like Hamilton should have given Verstappen some space cos Verstappen was ahead of him.

Not sure about it.
Hamilton had the car in the side, according to the rule Verstappen should give space for Hamilton to turn.
Verstappen did the turn like Lewis wasn't there.

Lewis has more responsibility but I don't know if he deserves a penalty.

For me that 10 second penalty is a joke. You can either decide that it is a racing accident and don't give a penalty at all to anyone or you decide that it was the fault of one of the drivers and then give a punishment according to the severity of the incident. Now they give hamilton a 10 second penalty which tells me that it is the stewards opionion that is was Hamiltons fault, which sent Verstappen into the barriers with a 51G impact and ended his race which means he will make 0 points and Hamilton only gets 10 seconds for that? He will probably still finish in the first place or at least on position 2, so this bad decision could really decide the championship this year.  Lips sealed
2640  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Huge gains and still holding ? on: July 18, 2021, 01:43:15 PM
The biggest mistake anyone can do is still holding unto their altcoins when bitcoin touched 60k weeks ago and still holding strong when the fall began weeks ago, imagine someone still holding HEX token when the coin did 40x already? If you are someone like this friend I don't know what your aim is but sorry to say you are doing it wrong. Check yourself cos it's possible you are struggling with greed.

Well i mean you are correct and i am also one of those guys who made that mistake twice now to not sell even though my profit was pretty big at the beginning of may. I also have to say though that this is a pretty easy thing to say now that you know how the market developed in the last two months. Of course i regret that i did not sell any of my holdings two months ago but i also does not bother me to much to be honest. I would have regretted it way more if i would have sold for lets say a profit of 100k€ back then and afterwards the whole market would have done another 10x and my holddings would have been worth 1M€ because 100k€  are no life changing amount of money here (i am from Germany) but 1M€ are.
