1721  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why Alts Follows Bitcoin's Fall? on: March 07, 2022, 05:36:25 PM
When bitcoin rises, the altcoins keep the price and if when the bitcoin falls the altcoins fall even more. Why do altcoins usually follow bitcoin?

Yeah it is still the case that Bitcoin is basically the lead indicator for all crypto currencies, which basically means that, if Bitcoin falls let's say 5% then most of the other coins will also fall at least 5%. Most of them, especially the new and small cap altcoin projects will fall even more than Bitcoin itself. I know what i am talking about because my portfolio consists mainly of small cap altcoins and my porfolio value is down more than 90% compared to it's ATH back in May 2021.
The sad thing for altcoins is also that if Bitcoin rises, the altcoins won't rise immediately too. There is always a longer phase of growth of the big cap coins needed before the smaller ones also start to rise.
1722  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - 2nd Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: March 06, 2022, 06:36:13 PM
The victory of Werder Bremen makes it even harder for Nürnberg, Hamburger SV and Schalke. They have to win twice themselves and hope that the other teams (Darmstadt and St. Pauli) also lose twice. That will be very close. It is not impossible and there are still 9 matchdays to go.

Yes that was a really bad matchday for the two biggest clubs of the second Bundesliga Schalke and the Hamburger SV both are now already 6 points behind the third position which would at least bring them into the play-offs for the relegation. With only 9 more matches to go it really starts to look like already that most likely one of those two clubs and very likely even both of them will have to stay at least one year longer in the second Bundesliga, which will be huge disappointment. I guess that for the Hamburger SV it is not as bad as for Schalke because they already had to experience multiple times now how hard it is to move back up to the first Bundesliga.
1723  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto in war ukraine and russia on: March 06, 2022, 06:28:52 PM
What is the impact of the current Ukraine and Russia war on Crypto?  With so many sanctions being launched against Russia, it could have a huge impact on the economies of both countries and possibly other countries as well. I have read before that there are Ukraine who accept donations via crypto and there is news of a ban on freezing Russia user accounts.  I hope the war ends soon, peace is beautiful

The first impact on the crypto market was definitely a negative one as the whole market went down around 10% or so all of a sudden once the news broke that Russia really started to invade Ukraine. I guess no one or at least only a small percentage of people really expected that it would come to this and therefore all the financial markets to a big blow that day and the traditional stock markets still suffer from that. The crypto market started to move upwards though only one or two days after the start of the war as it became obvious that with all that sanctions that are being declared against russia you can not really stop the crypto market to function.
1724  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽UEFA Champions League Discussion Thread -- 2021/22 Round of 16! on: March 06, 2022, 10:31:47 AM
Real Madrid is in trouble anyway. Being 1-0 down against PSG is tough because their offense is so strong. Having Mbappe, Neymar and Messi against you in a game that allows for PSG to play counter attacks is really difficult to pull off. I guess that even in the second leg Real will play a very strategic game and try to be patient. They can also turn things around in a late game.
Attacking, controlling the game without forgetting to defend, I think this will be Real Madrid's strategy. Because if they just played like they did in the first leg, they would really lose. We cannot deny that Paris Saint-Germain are a good team and they are reinforced with star names. At least they have to catch up with one goal first. After that they will play comfortably.

I also think that the best strategy for Real Madrid in the second leg would be to stay patient especially in the beginning of the match and try to get control over the game, having more ball possession than PSG and slowly but surely get more confidence to risk a little more in order to score the much needed goal. It is definitely true that PSG is very dangerous because Mbappe is probably one of the best players in the world if you want to perform quick counter attacks, but of course Real Madrid also knows that and i also think that if there are clubs in the world that don't get nervous even is they are still behind in the 70th minute or so, then it is Real Madrid, i think they still have good chances to advance.
1725  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are NFT Tokens a Good Long Term Investments? on: March 06, 2022, 10:24:52 AM
Recently I recieved many airdropped from new projects of NFT tokens, Some are in good prices
like BAY and XPUNK, but many other NFT tokens are falling and rugged. But I know mostly of NFTs are based on hyped project,
and no one knows what will be the future of them.
Is it better to trade NFT tokens rather than holding it for longterm?

I don't think it is possible to give a general answer to that question, because i would guess that with NFT's it will be the same as with most other trends and hypes in the crypto space. I think that the big hype about NFT's is already over now, but of course NFT's are also making sense in some cases and  are definitely here to stay if they are good NFT's in any form. That means that all those copycats projects that were just created to make some quick money by riding the NFT hype wave will be dead again in a few months while other NFT's of projects that are continuing to develop and to improve and grow their project will still be valuable in a few years in my opinion.
1726  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: March 05, 2022, 07:22:18 PM
I don't think this is a big problem that Bayern drew. Could happen. Leverkussen also has a dangerous team, they could just lose to that on a lesser day. And maybe they also want to save strength for the Champions League, where they still have to deal with Salzburg at home. And the championship in Germany is already 99% in the pocket.

I also don't think that the fact alone that they have only achieved a draw today is that big of problem or a setback regarding the probability to win the Bundesliga title again this year. Even if Dortmund wins their match Bayern still has a 6 point gap to them which should still be enough and Dortmund is also not performing that well this season.
That being said, i am really surprised about how unstable Bayern Munich is at the moment. I mean they were completely dominating the and their 1-0 lead was absolutely deserved and even after their goal they continued to push and had chances to make it 2-0.
Then Müller scores a weird own goal and suddenly the Bayern completely fell apart and Leverkusen even had 2 big chances to score another goal before the half time break.
1727  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: SibaDoge on: March 05, 2022, 07:00:12 PM
Hi,

I am sort of new to investing and have some funds to invest. Dogecoin and Shibacoin have been going through much hype in 2021 so I am thinking of purchasing some of this new coin ShibaDoge. But I am a little confused, if I do purchase it by exchanging it through ETH and then later on I want to sell it, how do I sell it? Do I have to physically find someone who wants to buy it off me?

Thanks

If you really want to buy into that coin then you just buy it through one of the decnetralized exchanges out there. For example there is uniswap for tokens on the Ethereum-chain or pancakeswap for the Binance smart chain. If the token that you want to buy is avialable on both networks then i would choose to use the Binance smart chain because there the fees for a trade are only a few cents while it is possible that you are paying 20$ dollars or even more for the trade on the Ethereum chain. If you want to sell later you just do the same action again only that you sell and not buy the coin this time.

That being said, my recommendation would be to not invest into sh*it-coins (meme-coins) the hype is pretty much over and 99% of them will be completely dead in a few months.
1728  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: March 05, 2022, 01:47:03 PM
I assume that most of the people will prefer to watch the Bayern Munich - Bayer Leverkusen match in the Bundesliga today. Whatever the result will be, I'm confident about one thing that we will watch a delightful and high-scoring match. Both of these teams are very capable of scoring more than one goal in a match. Because of this, my priority will be betting on both teams to score. And I might bet on a Bayern Munich win by a one goal difference too. But I would bet a small amount of money on the latter as it is harder to happen.

The match of Bayern Munich vs Leverkusen is definitely the most watch match for me too this afternoon, as my favorite team is taking part and it also promises to be the best game of the day in terms of speed and technique in my opinion. I am also quite interested in the match of RB Leipzig vs SC Freiburg though so i definitely will switch around a little here and there.
For me Bayern is the favorite in the match against Leverkusen but i really don't think that it will be an easy win for Bayern, because their defense just seems to be very unstable at the moment and Leverkusen is in a great shape. Also Leipzig is the favorite in the match against Freiburg but i also think that everything is possible in that match.
1729  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Usdt is safeheaven and usdc on: March 05, 2022, 01:43:20 PM
Usdt and usdc not volatile and you can send them fast and cheap.
And usdt and usdc not the usa dollar so they not related to any country currency.
Dollars been just used some part of it to print and mint stable usdt.

Well i definitely agree that stablecoins are really great as a safehaven to "park" your profits once you sold another crypto project and that way you always have it available if you want to make a fast transaction because you quickly want to invest into a project that looks promising to you. If you would have to move your profits to FIAT all the time then you would have to make a bank transfer first which takes at least 1 day and then the opportunity of a great investment could already be gone.
I disagree though, that USDT and USDC are completely independent from the "real" USD. Those stable coins aim to always have the same price as the USD after all which means if the "real" USD loses value in comparison to other national currencies then USDT and USDC also lose value.
1730  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: March 04, 2022, 11:15:57 AM
I just read the news that Mainz 05 has 19 confirmed covid cases amongst players and coaches. I could not find an exact numbers about how many of those 19 people are players but the news reported that maybe even the match against Dortmund in the Bundesliga that is scheduled for sunday can not happen, because a club needs to have 16 players that are ready for that match and with such a high number of covid cases it is very much possible that Mainz does not have that many fit players available on sunday.
I would guess that Dortmund is really hoping at the moment that the match will still take place because then Mainz would have to play with a B-squad which would basically mean a free win for Dortmund.

#securities and #stocks and #blockchain and #Layer2
The next blockchain revolution.

I also don't really understand what you are trying to say with your post here OP. Do you say that security tokens are the next big thing in the crypto space? If that is the case then i am not so sure about that. A security token is basically a crypto token that is basically the same as a traditional stock asset but on the blockchain of course. There are already projects out there that are having security tokens as their project tokens, for example Mt. Pelerin and i am sure there are others as well. If i remember correctly that whole security token thing was already a pretty big topic 2 years ago or so but it never really took off back then.
1732  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: March 04, 2022, 08:46:20 AM
The rumours are everywhere. Carlo Ancelotti might be coming to the premier as Manchester United manager. Looking at the record of the man, he has won the champions league 3 times that definitely is a world class manager.  But he is currently with Real Madrid.  For now it all remains a rumour

There are really a lot of rumors going on at the moment. To be honest though i don't think that there is much substance to the rumor that Ancelotti might go to Manchester United. I mean this would make sense for him, if he would not have a job at the moment or if he would be the coach of a smaller club or something like that but he is coaching Real Madrid at the moment and he is doing quite fine there. Of course the result in the first leg against PSG was not great as they have lost 0-1 but the chance that Madrid will advance into the next round are still there and in the La Liga they are dominating as they are leading the table with a 6 points gap to the next team.
1733  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Did Ukraine successfully rug us? on: March 04, 2022, 08:39:46 AM
i was watching the NLW breakdown today and was amazed to see Ukraine plans to airdrop thier own nation-state token to those who will donate to their war. the funds raised up to $54M based on this article from cnbc and this is after the Ukrainian government announced this airdrop. Mykhailo Fedorov )Vice Prime Minister and Minister of Digital Transformation) the next day tweeted, they are not distributing Ukraine coins but instead NFTS.  https://twitter.com/FedorovMykhailo/status/1499348177002151937

this guy from youtube also talked about his frustration about this rug pull. notice her girl roaming behind him https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nOGwy85r98k
this could have a positive effect on crypto if the country really sends out government-backed tokens. do you think the IMF also advised Fedorov not to pursue this Ukrain coins?  what do you think stopped them from releasing?

I really don't think that "rug pull" is the right term here because a rug pull is when a developer of a token is providing liquidity on a decentralized exchange like for example uniswap or pancake swap first and after people have bought their tokens they remove all the liquidity again so they have more tokens of the "other side" of the trading pair like USDT, ETH or BSC for example.
I also said yesterday in another thread in this forum that i find this free NFT for a donation thing kinda weird to be honest. If you want to donate to help the people of the Ukraine then you should do it. Now a lot of people will donate like 1 USDT just to get the NFT and then they want to sell that NFT for higher profit.
1734  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽UEFA Champions League Discussion Thread -- 2021/22 Round of 16! on: March 03, 2022, 01:38:38 PM

It seems to me that Liverpool is not the kind of team that will play for a draw or just waste time stupidly. They are always focused on the attack (by the way, sometimes this is to their detriment) and even when everything is already decided they try to score more goals. The match will take place at Endfield, this is an additional factor that will drive the players forward. I think the second match will be more effective than the first and Liverpool will win 3-1 or 4-1.

Looking only at the result of the first leg i also agree that Inter has almost zero chance now to advance into the next round after they have lost that match with 0-2. I have watched that whole match though and i have to say that Liverpool was very lucky that they have won that match and even luckier that they even won it with a difference of 2 goals. Inter had several chance to score the first goal in this match and it was very much possible that Inter could have won that game as they were the better team for me.
Now of course Liverpool has the big advantage and they can wait for good counter opportunities. If Inter manages to score an early goal though, then i think everything is possible.
1735  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ETH and BTC deserves the biggest space in our crypto portfolio on: March 03, 2022, 01:34:42 PM
It looks like selling your crypto for money when they are profitable is more safer than holding them for long, my point is only very few coins are worth holding for many years, if you still doubt about this go on coinmarketcap and look at most coins that came into this world in 2018 many of them have no volume again, the shocking one to me is gowithmi, a project that my elder brother praised so much at the time but today it's volume is not up to 50k, many projects will face same fate, be smart

I know that there are a lot of bitcoin enthusiasts out there and also here in this forum who are saying that very cryptocurrency except bitcoin is basically a shit-coin. I don't really agree with such statements as i think that even new and upcoming projects can be very worthwhile to invest and to hold for a long time. Of course if you invest in such new projects the risk of losing all your money is way way higher in comparison to an investment into BTC so the first promise should always be to only invest money that you can afford to lose and to not invest into meme-coins of course because 99% of them will be dead in a few months.
1736  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: March 03, 2022, 10:14:43 AM
The Bayern Munich - Bayer Leverkusen game this week is the one that I'm looking forward to watching now. Bayern Munich are very close to winning this game already now. I remember their game against each other before which ended by Bayern Munich's huge victory like 5-1. And I don't remember such thing as Leverkusen were having a bad period of time then. Bayern Munich can destroy every team in this league whenever they want and that was the proof of it. And here in this game, I expect another comfortable victory for them.

I also expect that Bayern will win this upcoming match against Leverkusen, but i really don't think that this will be an comfortable or easy win for Bayern to be honest. I think that Bayern Munich is just not in a great shape at the moment and the last games of them showed that, they lost against Bochum, they only managed to achieve a draw against RB Salzburg in the first leg of the Champions League play offs and they also had a pretty hard time in their last Bundesliga match against Frankfurt where they only won with 1-0. Given the fact that Leverkusen is a way stronger team in my opinion than Frankfurt at the moment i can imagine that Bayern has a very hard time against Leverkusen this weekend.
1737  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Only Small % Of Tokens/Coins Survive on: March 03, 2022, 10:10:48 AM
There's really nothing to disagree with here. The mass majority don't survive, but you can make a killing if you manage to pick the 1-5% that does survive. The problem is that most people tend to underestimate how difficult it is to pick that 1-5%, and just get blinded by the potential ROI.

I still it depends on what kind of projects you have in your portfolio. If you have invested into "real" projects that are really doing some and that have a use case, a real team and a roadmap that they are following, then i think the percentage of those kind of projects that are still around in a few years is higher than 5%. They may not be that successful or big anymore but they are not dead in the meaning of completely gone. If you have invested mainly into sh*it-coins though (meme-coins) then i would say than way less than 1% of them will still be here in a few years. Thousands of them were created in the last few months and none of them offers something, so it's a good thing in my book that they disappear again.
1738  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Motosport General discussion tread --- Formula1, MotoGP, WTCC, ETCC, DTM..... on: March 02, 2022, 03:25:20 PM
As some of you may have read, the "ground effect" is bringing back an old problem that was last seen in the 80s, the so-called "porpoising". When the car sucks itself too far to the ground due to the high speed and sits up. It will certainly be interesting to see which team can tune and reduce this better and at the same time make optimum use of the ground effect in the slow sections.

Will be interesting which team can handle this at the best.

I noticed the porpoising in the videos of the tests in Barcelona and i was surprised that those cars were going up and down so extremely. I also read though that Mercedes already had found a solution to that problem before the last day of the tests in Barcelona. They simply installed additional small struts in the rear section and the middle section of the car. This was just a temporary solution though but i am pretty sure that the "porpoising" is a pretty simple problem to solve for most teams. I would guess that we won't see much porpoising anymore in 8 days when the second test in Bahrain will start, but we will see.

Disclaimer: I don't know if there twitter account was hacked or not so please donate with extreme caution!

Recent Confirmation from there Official twitter account Tweet(https://twitter.com/ukraine/status/1498911922791583746?s=21):
"Airdrop confirmed. Snapshot will be taken tomorrow, on March 3rd, at 6pm Kyiv time (UTC/GMT +2 hours). Reward to follow! Follow subsequent news re Ukraine’s crypto donation campaign at @FedorovMykhailo"

Do you already donate guys? I already donated before this announcement but there no harm to donate more and get a cool gift from them. Wink

I don't know if this has been confirmed yet from an official source of the ukrainian government and i doubt they have the time to donate such a minor issue at the moment but this still feels weird to me. I mean i understand they probably need every single dollar that they can get but to offer that airdrop now feels kind of weird to me to be honest. I think people that can afford to donate something and that want to donate something should do that to help the people in need and not to get something in return. I can imagine that now a lot of people are spending like 1 USDT or something like that just in order to get the NFT to resell it for more.

As it stands, it appears PSG doesn't intend to give up, and they will do everything they can to get Mbappe a new contract. According to French media reports, Paris Saint-Germain hopes to sign Mbappé soon. According to Spanish media, however, Mbappe is expected to join Real Madrid this summer. Madrid has more chances, and Mbappe will join the team FREE of charge, and there will be enough to purchase Haaland. The new contract he will sign in July will allow Kylian Mbappé to achieve his lifelong dream.

I also think that Mbappe really want to leave PSG after this season. If you would have wanted to stay there he would have prolonged his contract there a long time ago. The only thing that could happen though is that he wants such a high salary at Real Madrid that they won't agree and in the end he has lost the option to go to Real then. Only if this occurs i think PSG has a chance that Mbappe stays.

I don't think that Madrid has enough money to sign Mbabppe and to buy Haaland, Real Madrid has debts of more than 900 million € so i don't really understand how people always act like Real is a healthy club, it's already a joke that they are trying to sign Mbappe with that high amount of debts , but if they are really signing Mbappe for a salary of probably more than 25 M€ per year AND also buying Haaland for 75 M€ transfer fee and a salary of around 20 M€ per year at the same time, then i really lose my faith in modern football.
