Do most of you daytraders immediately sell your altcoin to btc and then immediately to usdt?
2622  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Binance: $BNB The Future of Exchanges. on: August 25, 2018, 08:49:16 PM
Does anyone here think binance coin is a safe investment?  Seems to be when you look at the prices.
2623  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Should I stop trading in this bear market? on: August 19, 2018, 12:18:56 AM
Can someone explain how does one even make money trading in the bear market when everything is down?
2624  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: The advantage of day trader on: August 19, 2018, 12:18:01 AM
Are most daytraders immediately selling whatever altcoin they buy/sell for usdt or usd right after they sell bitcoin?  Because if you only sell it for bitcoin and keep it in bitcoin, even if you made profit at that moment, if you keep btc and btc drops, then you aren't making any money right?
2625  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: SHIFT - The next 100x potential on: August 10, 2018, 03:40:25 PM
Is phantom out yet or not?  The price is very low now and i thought it would be a lot higher.
2626  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Everyone loses money when the market is down right? on: August 10, 2018, 03:37:00 PM
Other thing is this.  You say these coins get pumped regardless of the market.  If that is the case and btc and everything goes down, wouldn't that mean if you do this, you buy the coin when its pumping, then sell it off when it starts to dump.  Then you immediately sell it for usdt?  Because if you sell it for btc and keep btc, and btc keeps dropping, then you don't make any money.  Thoughts or comments on this?
2627  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Everyone loses money when the market is down right? on: August 10, 2018, 03:35:42 PM
not everyone loses money! there are many different strategies used by people and make of them can easily mean not losing anything at all. for example the simplest one is to invest long term in bitcoin. imagine you have bought bitcoin last year when things were calm and the rise had not yet started. then you could have buy bitcoin between $900 to $2000 and no matter what the current price is, you would be in a big profit. you might have even sold a little on top ($20k) and make a huge profit while still holding a lot of bitcoin.

or another strategy that is favorite by many is to go around in the altcoin market and only find the coins that are on the rise ie. getting pumped. you can buy these coins during the rise and make a big profit short term. these coins don't care what is generally going on in the market, they get pumped nonetheless.

How do you know which coins are getting pumped?  Coinmarketcap?   Can you explain strategy in this?  Look at the coins getting pumped in the last 1 hour, last 12 hour, 24 hour, how many?  Then once you buy it and the moment it start dropping say 10 percent, you sell it off?  Is that what you mean?
2628  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Beware of Twitter Scammers on: August 10, 2018, 03:33:47 PM
Has anyone notice whenever mcafee or charlie lee makes a tweet, the first few tweets that show up under it is the scammer pretending to be macafee or that ETH guy and then they say send 0.1 eth or 0.1 btc and get back 1 eth or 1 btc?  And then they post a link right below it in the next tweet etc?  There is like 3 tweets right below the mcafee tweet and they post a link or 2 links.

Does anyone know if clicking those links automatically make whatever device you use hacked whether its your phone or your computer?  I assume if its your phone, its not that bad if you dont keep your coins there?  However, wouldnt they have access to your email account though if you click on the link and say you are signed in your email on your phone which almost everyone does?

What if you click on it on your computer?  Do you automatically get hacked with whatever wallet or email when you log into computer?  Or its only if you click on the link and then enter some information?  Example i know if you click on certain phishing sites and put in account details, you get hacked that way.  But i like to know does clicking on those links automatically mean you get hacked?
2629  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Binance: $BNB The Future of Exchanges. on: August 10, 2018, 03:28:21 PM
Is there a reason why binance coin doesn't fall down in price that much compared to the other altcoins?  I noticed this.
2630  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Beware of Twitter Scammers on: July 28, 2018, 09:16:34 PM
So i noticed on john mcafee and few other of those users when they make a post, the first few responses that always show up are fake accounts whether its a fake mcafee account or binance or coinbase or similar thing and it gives you a link and tells you to read this.  Also i seen the send x amount of btc or eth and receive x amount later on.

First off, if you click on these links on your phone, does that mean your phone is automatically compromised?  What about if you click on these links on your computer?  Im not talking about the ones where they ask you to send btc or eth to so and so address but the ones that always post a link and says read this.  Does clicking on those links automatically make your phone or computer compromised if you have any crypto or sensitive information on your phone or computer?
2631  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Altcoin Wallets on: July 09, 2018, 03:17:14 AM
Hey all.  To those of you that own altcoins and store them in wallets, how do you make sure the wallet you google is legit?  Example there are over 1000 coins available on coinmarketcap.

Let say you buy 10 different coins on bittrex and binance.  Let say they are not compatible with your hardware wallet such as ledger nano s or trezor.  Thus you have to download the actual wallet itself or keep it on an exchange.  There is a thread here where ppl say don't keep your coins in an exchange because its not safe.  First off, if you keep your coins in the most legit exchanges say bittrex or binance... is that generally safe from hacks?  Now what if you have 2FA on it as well.  Is that safe enough or not?  Someone mentioned if you have 2FA on it, then thats good enough.

Now in terms of altcoin wallets, do you people who own say altcoins that you cannot store in a hardware wallet all download the actual wallet for that specific coin?  But how to make sure that wallet is 100 percent legit?  Example say its bluecoin or greencoin to make it simple.  You can't put those coins in nano ledger s or trezor.  Then where do you store these coins?  I think it would be really annoying having to download all these wallets for every coin you own that isn't allowed on a hardware wallet.
2632  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Should I invest in these altcoins? on: July 08, 2018, 03:30:40 AM
Hi there.  So you believe in shift the most in the list of mine?  It went up to like 10 dollars at one point.  What price did you get it at?

So you think the max it would hit is probably like 5 dollars then?

Also people predicted waves would hit 50 dollars or more.  So that is impossible now?
2633  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Should I invest in these altcoins? on: July 08, 2018, 02:02:25 AM
Thoughts on this list here?  Most of these coins are a lot cheaper than before.
2634  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Funfair and Edgeless? on: July 08, 2018, 01:57:58 AM
Thoughts on both of these coins at the moment?  When is edgeless getting their license?  Also is funfair already operating their casino?  But edgeless has not?  Edgeless price is very low at the moment.
2635  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Batmans Top Pick Revealed - This Coin is GONNA CRUSH! on: July 08, 2018, 01:51:09 AM
thoughts on coss?  also anyone know if this guy is legit?
2636  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoins Down 80+% on: July 08, 2018, 01:46:12 AM
Did anyone else buy these coins at an all time high?  For example i wanted to get edgeless a while back and then it got so high... like 3 dollars a coin.  I didn't buy it because it was way too high.  I was comfortable at the 1 dollar mark.  Now its under 35 cents.  Does anyone here think edgeless could ever get back to 3 dollars?  If you bought it at 3 dollars, you are down over 85 percent  The other coins like substratum and spectracoin are down like 95 percent.
2637  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Coins kept in exchange, are they safe? on: July 08, 2018, 12:54:52 AM
How many coins do most of you own then?  Let say you bought 5 different coins on binance and another 5 on bittrex.  Let say these are not bitcoin, eth or those big name coins and its something like faircoin, edgeless and other coins.  So you are going to download 10 different wallets on your computer to store these coins assuming your hardware wallet doesn't allow you to store these coins?  Or imagine someone with 20 different coins they bought.  You going to send them to your 20 different wallets on your computer?
2638  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Bittrex Fiat Verification? on: July 03, 2018, 04:11:24 PM
okay but can someone from any of those states tell me about this?
2639  Economy / Trading Discussion / Bittrex Fiat Verification? on: July 03, 2018, 01:21:21 AM
I have a bittrex account that is verified a while back.  I haven't checked bittrex in a while and notice they now allow USD to trade.  Not only that... they seem to allow deposits and withdraws with usd.  Can someone here confirm this is true?

So basically you could withdraw fiat to your bank account like with coinbase or gemini?  If so, that is great.  And do they allow ACH bank transfers or it was to be wire transfer?  I know wire transfers cost a lot more.

Also can anyone with verified bittrex account tell me how long this process took them?  Because this sounds great in that you could not only trade altcoins with bittrex, but you could withdraw fiat to bank account.
