You are wrong there are lot of trader who earn even more bigger during bearish market as people are panic selling there are some who are also catching all the lower price that being sold by those losing traders and once t he market recover slightly they would sell and wait for another wave of panic selling.

you shouldn't be thinking about what others are doing and what everyone makes or loses. instead try to focus on what strategy fits you best during each market cycle. if you think you can't make profit during the drops or can not figure out how to do it then don't trade during the drops. it is that simple. and if you want then you have to focus on where the money has gone. try watching the price of different coins and see which one is rising among thousands of them dropping.

not everyone loses money! there are many different strategies used by people and make of them can easily mean not losing anything at all. for example the simplest one is to invest long term in bitcoin. imagine you have bought bitcoin last year when things were calm and the rise had not yet started. then you could have buy bitcoin between $900 to $2000 and no matter what the current price is, you would be in a big profit. you might have even sold a little on top ($20k) and make a huge profit while still holding a lot of bitcoin.
or another strategy that is favorite by many is to go around in the altcoin market and only find the coins that are on the rise ie. getting pumped. you can buy these coins during the rise and make a big profit short term. these coins don't care what is generally going on in the market, they get pumped nonetheless.
How do you know which coins are getting pumped? Coinmarketcap? Can you explain strategy in this? Look at the coins getting pumped in the last 1 hour, last 12 hour, 24 hour, how many? Then once you buy it and the moment it start dropping say 10 percent, you sell it off? Is that what you mean?

Other thing is this. You say these coins get pumped regardless of the market. If that is the case and btc and everything goes down, wouldn't that mean if you do this, you buy the coin when its pumping, then sell it off when it starts to dump. Then you immediately sell it for usdt? Because if you sell it for btc and keep btc, and btc keeps dropping, then you don't make any money. Thoughts or comments on this?

Don't see why everyone is angry about the current market, this gives us another chance to buy in cheap and make massive gains, but everyone here is in panic mode.

No not everyone is losing money, some people make money when they short Bitcoin when the market is going down. And some people take this opportunity to buy Bitcoin and altcoin at a low price. When market recover, they will make some profit.

I think most of the peoples are loose the money and few of the peoples are earn profit. So not everyone loose the money because still many day traders are earn more profit in every day. But my point of view no one loose the investment because we are buying the cryptocurrency and value is down but we have same percentage of coin so again this will going to raise in soon that day we will earn more profit.
I agree. Although not everyone is experiencing losses, I do not think that everyone is losing money all the same. I say that because many people choose to be patient when the market is not doing good. Although prices of many coins are going down, one good way to counter that is by hodling your coins and not giving in and selling it while in panic.

It's depending on a person's proficiency in determining her choices, buy or sell at the right time, will certainly give us the advantage. I agree if not everyone is losing their money when the market going down.

When we do talk on general sense for most people/traders/investors when we do see a decline of prices on the entire market then loses would depend on where or what spot we do able to get in.If it do able to break that point lower that price then its considered as loss but there are still who are even reaching nearly on break even side neither they do hold up their coins for long term but still on the profit side although profits is gradually decreasing as the market goes down.On the other side some people panic but some wise ones do see this as an opportunity.

People are nervous because the bear market is overextending. When it falls down sharply you are prepared for it. Like in January and February, everybody saw the need for a correction and we all anticipated at least 50% discount on BTC. But when it hit the bottom of 6k twice it really looked like the market was slowing down and getting ready to stabilize. SInce then we've been trading in a very small range of 2000 USD and want to see the trend finally change. We've been in a confirmed bull market from May to December 2017 (7 months), and are now 8 months in the bear market. About time.

When prices in the market decrease, those who make the investment only guess that they may face losses. But the investors do not sell at that time. Rather, they hold and sell if they increase. There are very few people who accept losses and sell that time even if the price decreases.

The market is going down that will also have trading, it is important you know where you are right and what to do. Selling at the right time will help you cut losses and make a profit. Nothing is bad, just know how to use and have a strategic head with investment.

So with how much bitcoin and all the altcoins are down, is it even possible for any trader to make any money? Example let say this. You buy btc at a very low price due to these dips. Now you could either keep btc or buy altcoins with it. Now the market goes down every single day. First off, does anyone know if btc or any altcoins ever have a day where the prices drop every single hour? Or is that impossible?
Anyways, with how much all the coins are dropping, is it even possible for any trader to make money on days or weeks like this? Im thinking its only possible if they make sure they sell it at the right hour and minute etc in order to profit. But of course if they are down almost all day, how is it even possible for anyone to make any money? Sure when the market goes back up in a while, and the price gets higher than they bought it at and now they sell, the profit. However, the same ppl who hold the coins will profit as well.
Because doesn't it seem like there is no skill involved at all it seems? Because if the market is down for a long time, what percentage of traders are even making any money when the market is down? Of course if you got a coin at like 10 cents a long time ago and then it went to 5 dollars... and now because of this.. its now down to say 1 dollar, well you are still up money if you sell it now. But the same ppl who got this coin probably got it at over 3 dollars and lost a huge percentage of its value.
So is it true almost everyone loses money when the market is down? And almost everyone makes money when the market is up? Because if btc goes up, the alts follow. BTC drops, everything follows. Its like there is zero skill at all almost. Such that yes when it goes up, some altcoins might go up higher than others. Also why do certain very good altcoins drop when btc drop if that project is very good etc? Yes i know you need btc to get that coin and vice versa but its like its either everyone wins or everyone loses.
So right now market is down a lot especially for those who bought not that long ago. So where is the skill here? Its basically when to sell and when to buy right? However, when market is down like this, who is damn making any money? Because isn't almost everyone losing money? The only ppl that i could see that likes this huge dip are those that have usd/usdt ready and picking when to buy. Of course they could have waited till btc was 8k and thought great i buy now or buy alts and each of these already lost a lot already.
Who is making any money now when the market is down? The ppl who are selling? Surely not since the price they sell now is much less than before. Also just curious but does this apply to stocks and forex trading as well? I know that well stock market goes up, doesn't almost all the stocks all go up it seems? The same can be said of forex or am i wrong here? I only know forex is money trading with different currencies etc. Because when you look at other things like poker or sportsbetting... someone is winning and someone is losing. Also to anyone that bets sports or knows about sports, you might hear how all the wise guys are losing money. Wise guys are sophisticated sharp bettors that are much smarter than your average joe. That average joe most likely bets very square picks... meaning like obvious public teams etc. However, the thing is the public does win. And when they do that, sportsbook would lose money. But usually they get it back and the average joe loses it back betting very public plays and the sophisticated bettors aka sharps win again. However, i heard of sharps having really bad seasons etc.
So based on that, doesn't it seem like crypto trading is basically everyone wins or everyone loses? Because in sportsbetting, yes the house does win and they house could also have a losing streak. But eventually they win back the average joes money. But if the average joe gets lucky and goes on a huge run whether betting favorites or underdogs or whatnot, its possible for him to win for a long time or lose for a long time. Also let say you have a few players who are sharp sportsbettors and a few average joes. Well if the sharp guys are winning, most likely the average joes are losing. If the sharp guys are losing, average joes are most likely winning. I say this because they usually play opposite plays most of the time. But no matter what, someone has to win. Whether its the sportsbook or the bettor. Also in sportsbetting, there is something called live betting where its like trading. Basically you can bet on either side while the game is going on when odds change always etc. But when you live bet, if one player bets this team while another player bets another team... remember each of these players are betting against the sportsbook, one player will win... the other loses. Thus that is where the skill comes in. So does anyone here feel like the market dictating winning or losing is just stupid? I mean if market is down, who is making any money? Its like ppl say when there is a bull market, everyone thinks they are a genius. Well if its a bull market, the only thing you have to think about is okay i will buy btc but should i exchange it for altcoin or not and which one.
Anyone here have thoughts or opinions on this? I got excited about cryptocurrency and trading and wanted to do it. But now when i look at it, its basically look at the market. There doesn't seem to be any skill in it. Can anyone here correct me with any of my statements especially if i made any especially in sportsbetting? Thanks.
I do not think so, if you trade plan and always follow the market, if the market drops you will be able to timely processing and exchange USDT or USD to be able to preserve capital and profit. I believe that at this time you should only short-term investment and always have to keep track of the bitcoin price to be able to handle any situation that may occur in time.

No, this sent the case. Yeah this is right that there are so many people who lost money in hard times but this downfall didn’t hurt so many others as well. People are welcome bitcoin even if it is down because they know when it is down, it is more towards themselves. They found it near them and then no other option than to buy this classic coin. This let them sell at high price and earn money.

In a downtrend market in cryptocurrency, majority of the people lose their money in the market. Their are quite some people that makes money in a downtrend market. If you short bitcoin on bitmex or any other altcoin, you would be making good money

Market is in deep. If anyone can identify the market behaviour he will earn money. In that position also. Before tha dump he will trade and buy in deep. That is the strategy of dumping market. Before that youshould observe the market behaviours. If not you will lose more. There are many market prediction sites and channels in the crypto world. You can observe those also. If you no well you can face any dump of the market.

Yes,everyone lose money when the market it down. But technically some are losing their principal and some are losing some percentage of the profits. If someone is holding bitcoin bought at $5k is still not losing if the price falls from$7,000 to $6500.Where as of anyone bought bitcoin ast $6900 will be is losses .In crypto markets HODL is the keyword for making profits

You can see that the market is constantly falling, the price of both bitcoin and altcoin have been falling dramatically in the past few days, although bitcoin prices have recovered slightly but the prices of altcoin are falling sharply. Therefore, I believe that at the time of trading you should limit your trading and wait for bitcoin to stabilize.
