2621  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Swipe (SXP) is a death defi project? on: December 05, 2020, 05:35:23 PM
Altcoin investors are awesome. I love you guys. Project is good = price have to pump. Project price goes down = project is dead.

Guys...

1- short term fluctuations (weeks-months) has nothing to do with fundamentals. Fundamentals has impact on long term trends (years).
2- current SXP capitalisation is $73 mln. You should now ask how much profit this project is generating annually. How much profit may generate in next 10 years (be realistic). Is it 10k $? Is it 1 mln $? Do fundamental analysis based on hard data and you will know if its worth to invest. Average P/E for nasdaq is 20. BNB P/E is around 4 - worth to invest. The fact that project is "good" does not say anything about the fact that it is worth to invest or not. You need to compare price to value, not short term fluctuations to value. (its dumped a little so it must go up now ...well its not)

Alt bubble is over. Its fundamental time  (price/value)- we have institutional investors money here now ... retail investors already lost all money during last pump and dump alt season.
2622  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What have you done/are you doing with your ICO coins? on: December 05, 2020, 11:42:33 AM
I still recognized wanchain, ICON, Nash exchanges, if you are still holding then this might be a good time to sell them for good money, I'm talking about this altcoin season though, I believe that very soon all altcoins will surge higher, though I don't know if all these altcoins are still active or not but if development is still ongoing then it's a good thing

Every bubble has to have its paradigm. 2017 bitcoin bubble paradigm was - new global money that will replace fiats. After bitcoin hit 20k, network was so spammed that transaction cost 200$ (paradigm failed). Than every investor start to search for "new bitcoin", faster, better that could replace bitcoin as new world currency. Market was also full of retail investors with very low experience in trading/investing. That's why money flooded into altcoins creating alt season with 100% daily gains.

Will such thing repeat? I strongly daubt. If we will see next bitcoin/crypto bubble it will be institutions/professional investors/professional traders money with paradigm - 5% of every well balanced portfolio. They will not invest in link - oracle ... worth $ 5 bln without any documented profit, they will not invest in promise of something worth $500 mln, they are too smart to do that . What I'm trying to say ... most likely, during this crypto bubble, we will not see good gains on alts. Current ALT/BTC price might not repeat ... ever.

I would start to dump them all. Slowly ... not everything in one day, not everythign today. Just try to find tops and dump few% of investment. Find another top and dump again. Try to get rid of them but slowly. Maybe some of them will pump but it will be pump and dump, use pump and dumps like smart money, to dump.
2623  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: New Chinese Quantum Computer breakthrough - should we be concerned? on: December 05, 2020, 08:34:41 AM
Quantum Computer is specified to solve a specific problem. They are not just super fast computers. It needs months to calibrate it to to solve given problem. And performance in solving this particular problem is compared to regular supercomputers that are universal. You can not simply turn on chines quantum computer and push "destroy bitcoin" button.

So if any day there will be quantum computer that will try to attack bitcoin - it will be made in purpose to do only this one thing.

What than? Well they will start to double spend, messing with blochchain. Community will immediately spot it and fork btc - simple reverse toxic transactions and implement different hashing mechanism. Boom you need to do new quantum computer spending bilions $ and your previous one is useless. How much you profit from this? Most likely not much compared to cost spend on quantum computers, ruined reputation (only few companies are capable to make quantum computer, their reputation will be ruined)

2625  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoins in 2030 on: December 05, 2020, 07:33:39 AM
Well currently average price for bitcoin transfer is like 3$ and like 3-4k transaction can be put in one block. It means that 9-12k $ in fees goes to miners. With further segwit adoption, implementing new segwit-like updates (f.e Taproot and Schnorr), lightning network we can double or triple this. I think that in next 10 years it might cover lower rewards. Price should also increase since even now bitcoin can be considered as deflationary coin (production - lost coins annually - wrong transfer, lost wallets, sudden death of wallet owners without passing key to family).

2626  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Using Trailing Stop Orders? on: December 04, 2020, 06:08:14 PM
Do you guys use TSO & TSLO while trading crypto?

Do you see other advantages/inconvenient to it?

Its hard for me to imagine how long term trader you need to be to use TSO. Is it that hard to take a look at investment once a week to adjust stop-loss and place it in strategic place based on statistic advantege (called TA). Like beghind support etc not in random position based on short term fluctuation?

That is a little drop back in price can cut off the trade order which would have given better profit.

Its the same with regular stop-loss and every professional trader that cares about its money and is not a "gabler on market" is using it.
2627  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin arrives on Wall Street: S&P Dow Jones launching crypto indexes in 2021 on: December 04, 2020, 04:10:46 PM
So it looks like it is indeed truth. Well... I'm in crypto for more than 3 years (ICO bubble, defi bubble) and i would really have a problem to name 20 coins that are worth to be part of such index (are not ment to die in next few years, are not pump and dump scams, have any fundamental value). So it will be interesting to see what 500 coins would they chose.

Good part of it is that if this index will be well balanced its price won't be changing much different from bitcoin price change. Altcoins mostly fallow bitcoin .. if you add to this that this index will be build with bitcon, eth in majority you get pretty much BTC with multiplied/divided by 1.1 depends on if we have alt season or not.

If its bad? Well its nothing for bitcoin. Just another way to invest. We have thousands of the and I doubt that is there a single person that would like to participate but need special index.
2628  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Idena is the first Proof-of-Person Blockchain on: December 04, 2020, 12:32:51 PM
What I don't understand about this "farmers" is: how can they pass validation as farmers but not on their own.

Anyways, if they are different individuals, I don't see anything wrong. If the farm owner managed to convince 500 people to work for him, or to give him a cut from the rewards, I see nothing wrong. Good for him, smart guy.

What I don't like is that the farm owner can dump the coins more easily than 500 unique wallets, but same is his decision to keep the coins or to dump them on the market, even though I don't like it.

I don't quite trust that it was 1 person 1 node. If you are running 700 node farm, you are smart enough to organize it and make it easier for average person to participate (as AI said ... people were trying to go solo but they failed and come back) ... you can make things much easier in may ways to maximalize node/person ratio.

1- you know like 20% of flips (your farm made them) - you don't need to solve them, no need to pass them to your farm. That's why farm care about flip quality. Not because this farm cares about network. It care their flips not to be reported so that they would count.
2- it does not need to be 1 person standing in front of 1 real idena client per 1 node. If he prepared special client for his members his algo can collect all flips in one pool (sort out duplicates - each flip is used like 2.4 times on average) and pass to farm members one by one. Each farm member is not limited to 6 flips. Can go to 20 if have enough of time, it can stay at 1 if that's maximum of "slave" capabilities. Each flip solved goes to pool as solved and is send to each node that has it. That way this farm can solve 2.4x less flips.

So instead of solving 700*6 = 4200 they solve 4200 * 0,8 /2,4 = 1400 flips. And each person go as deep as he can doing one flip after another. That puts us to situation in which 1 person can validate 10+ nodes because its much easier as farm member.
2629  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Dump tactics - where to protect your crypot's when during dump? on: December 03, 2020, 05:23:10 PM
Dump it to stable coins on any exchange (i suggest binance as market leader).

There are stable coins backed by gold if you are interested to be exposed to gold fluctuations rather than dolar constantly loosing value:

https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/digital-gold/ - popular on bitcointalk thanks to their bounty
https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/pax-gold/ - known alternative (same firm that has PAX - usd stable coin)
https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/tether-gold/ - the biggest player - same firm that has USDT

But this is not like holding gold bar in your hands. These firms can disappear with your money any day.

Dunno about silver. Most likely you will have to dump to USD and send it broker/physical seller.

Any link? Source of this thing? I doubt that 550 coins will be there. There are like few legit projects, rest of CMC are scams but to the point. Why you see it negative for bitcoin?

"We fixed bug, but farm is alive and looks like it was validated by humans."

After this announcment a guy came out on telegram claiming that he is owner of this farm and he did it using real human farm - all nodes are validated by humans ...

Quote
There is a guy in RU chat who claimed, that he organized that farm.

He just proved it with this transaction:
https://scan.idena.io/address/0x989DAF4E639ea7438029fdBD3B04c79553F7164C

I asked to confirm sending some amount to top1 idena address
https://t.me/idena_trading/33290

https://t.me/idena_trading/33446

Things starts to be very interresting. I don't trust this guy. In my opinion he plays with IDENA as if it were chess battle but only he sees the board and we bet blindly.

" The Idena validation results

Validation rewards paid:

Minimum Total score for Humans to get the second invitation and Verified to get an invitation: 100% "

Next validation: 18.12.2020

Nothing to be happy about. Looks like our recent problem is still here. Fix presented bydevs did not help at all. 700 node farm is still alive (at least 90% of it passed validation) but it grow up with a lot of new 1 epoch old accounts (https://scan.idena.io/address/0xB41C357D7b2FE65E3ccF553d52994fC564067cca). Eather there is another bug (indefinite) or whole need is in serious shi..

Co najciekawszego udało wam się wygrać? Ostatnio własnie miewam takie uczucie braku ciekawych gadzetów bitcoinowych i chętnie zacząłbym budować jakąś kolekcję, bo siedzę przy krypto kilkanaście godzin dziennie, są moim hobby i źródłem dochodu a jednak pomacać się tego nie da Smiley
2634  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Don't venture into something you aren't completely sure about. on: November 29, 2020, 03:35:08 PM
idena is something interesting, its like mining with just proof of identity. this token must be very unique. I'm more inclined to participate in this project than something that you will have to buy a rig.

Yep. That's the only way for profitable mining without expensive equipment/big investment in shitcoins. 5$ VPS or even old laptop/PC, 40 min monthly doing touring test and you can start your mining journey. Rewards are not big now because price is dumped to the ground, but i guess it wont last long (only 3 mln$ marketcap for the most decentralized coin in whole crypto industry on the eve of the launch of oracle that will revolutionize oracle definition - oracle that use blockchain that has 5000 unique nodes with equal voting power)
2635  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Broker/Platform HELP on: November 28, 2020, 06:02:13 PM
Thanks for your reply
I can see that binance has better orders possibilities but not as good a mt4. anyways,
Binance offer spot and futures, in your opinion which one is more better to trade, regarding liquidity?
Thanks

Binance futures has the best liquidity. On binance futures you can go like 100-200 BTC market buy in single order with 0.1% slippage. On binance spot its like 10-50 BTC. For small orders (<0.1 BTC) spread is most often 1 cent (BTC/USDT) so 5.5 *10^(-5) % XD
2636  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Broker/Platform HELP on: November 28, 2020, 05:54:44 PM
I'm not sure if there is SL and TP before you order but you can set it after you order.

Yes it's available on binance. Its called OCO order - order cancel order. Binance is the best place to trade crypto starting from 2017 until now is binance and with every next week they widen the gap that separates them from other exchanges. Strong leader.
2637  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Idena is the first Proof-of-Person Blockchain on: November 28, 2020, 05:46:49 PM
Thank you for the detailed answer and clarification ,I think that this information will be useful to anyone who is not yet familiar with this exchange and wants to trade there, including iDNA  Wink

Speaking of which. Vitex thinks that all of their users are dumb and don't even know where is order book and last orders. Just take a look at that:

Only buy orders each 7-12 min, 10-30 iDNA (1-3 $ XD) orders on second and third ss. This looks so unreal. But take a look at that. Today one guy created sell order in a way that there is 1 sat spread.

What should happened if normally with 5-15% spread people are making orders each 10 min? They should trade even more with low spread shouldn't they? In fact there was not a single trade in last 7 hours because with 1 sat spread it is impossible for their bot to do fake trades.

Why exchanges cheat in the most stupid way without even taking care of hiding fake trades? Only buy orders with rand 7-10 min delay and 1-3$ order size. Pathetic. They don't even bother to add 3 lines of code to their "add fake volume" algo to make it buy/sell, big/small orders, with more random timestamp
2638  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading Competitions with Zero Deposit? Contests? on: November 28, 2020, 05:36:39 PM
How would you know if your opponents in contests are manual traders? Most of them could be bot traders too. I think you should give up with this idea, chose exchange suitable for your strategy and run your bot with minumi possible order size (~10$ for binance). After few weeks you will know if your strategy is profitable or not, then increase your positions and enjoy life as algo trader.

Also you need to know that main disadvantages of mock contests without real cash is that you are not working on real order book. So you don't have issue with unfilled orders, slippage, latency, spoofing etc. Chose exchange and test your bot on it, if profitable increase order size until you will see that your strategy stops to scale properly (f.e slippage is eating your profit)
2639  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Snipie's gambling investment test on: November 28, 2020, 07:58:43 AM
The entire crypto market has turned into a casino now, so the demand for a casino will be low among crypto users  Cheesy I think that it will be necessary to return to investments of this kind when the market calms down (it does not matter on the lows or on the highs) and is more or less predictable.

Yep. It looks like this was the case. When I was calculating old investors return for doge it was like 200-300% APY. My estimated APY based on 6 month investment is 12%. This is huge gap and i thing you made a good point that is was caused by different market condition (8-12k consolidation vs 10-19k rally). The market provides gamblers with a sufficient dose of adrenaline. There is currently like 5 mln DOGE wagered daily (on average) - 16k$ - 160$ profit for website (considering 1% house edge), 80$ daily for all investors to share.

I trust yolodice, they have never let me down, but with such low daily profit and such high bankroll size ($250k for doge only) exit scam is very tempting. I decided not to take this risk.

Tongue

Tymczasem moja poprzednia przepowiednia:

A media, szerząc zidiocenie, co zwykły praktykować, przypiszą spadek wyprzedażą przedświąteczną, by kupić prezenty i zorganizować święta XD Drugą stroną medalu przyjmą media, które jak zawsze zaczną wieszczyć śmierć bitcoina ... no końcówka roku moim zdaniem będzie zabawna.
