2621  Economy / Economics / Re: Everything you wanted to know about BTC options but were afraid to ask! on: June 10, 2020, 05:10:15 PM
I think I’m lost here Grin wait... Options, like you mean options trading, the same thing we can do with IqOption and Expertoption?
Or is it a different something when it’s Bakkt and Deribit that we are talking about here Roll Eyes. I am quite confused because I can remember that IqOption is also called options trading and they have people trading bitcoin there for as low as $10.

So, how comes are you saying that there are no other platforms where people can trade options apart from Deribit and that only whales do that? Unless Bitcoin option is completely different from what I know? Sorry, I’m quite confused, maybe cause I can’t comprehend the big article you wrote. If you don’t mind summarizing it an easy way.
2622  Economy / Economics / Re: Does Currency Value Falls During Recession? on: June 10, 2020, 03:56:18 PM
There is a popular saying that Cash is king, a term reflecting the belief that money (cash) is more valuable than any other form of investment tool, especially in the event of an economic downturn when there are cheap securities and properties that could be bought with cash.

On the flip side, I am very curious to know if the value of fiat currency appreciates or depreciates during a recession and why.
I am not really good at this, but I think it’s not going to be the case for every currency Roll Eyes. There are some currencies that are going to fall, and there are some that are going to increase. The great recession in 2008 can be used as an example in this case. During this recession the pounds sterling depreciated for over 25%, unlike the USD and the Euro that were less affected. So, that’s how it is.

There are things that will get really high and some will fall. This is because investors are losing interest there, and as they are selling their holdings in that particular currency to invest in other currencies, that currency will keep depreciating.
2623  Economy / Economics / Re: The unfortunate event that is Quarantine. on: June 10, 2020, 03:24:36 PM
Quarantine was done save lives, and I don’t think at first they expected the outbreak to keep spreading after lockdown was initiated. But surprisingly, despite the lockdown the virus keeps on spreading. The most annoying is employees lost their job and won’t be getting it back even after the lockdown is over. It’s really annoying. I’m happy that I already got my own job and I’m not relying on any company to be paying me, even during the lockdown I’m still able to make income.

Schools have not resumed here, I don’t know for y’all. Have they resumed in other places around the world? Most kids here are learning online, but only kids that their parents can afford to pay for it. There are kids from poor family whose parents cannot afford to pay for this.

Between having bundesliga for a while, we are going to have 3 amazing leagues plus few not so bad leagues all together and that will be awesome. From what I can see we are going to have serie A, la liga and premier league, I really don't know what is going on with Ligue1 (never heard anything, maybe it is already decided which date it will come back or maybe it is cancelled, I literally haven't heard anything) but if it comes that is 4 super leagues.

And between some other smaller but not so bad leagues, we are going to have about 10 leagues total during the summer. Just as it is ending, people will move on to something like NBA and champions league as well. A great sports filled summer awaits us.

BET staking has been release!

https://blog.earnbet.io/en/earnbet-releases-bet-staking/

Very nice update for BET holders Grin
I do not understand the "additional perks across the bet gaming network" part, since its vague and not really explained well but the rest looks interesting. First I thought this is a token that you earn by gambling, so you are not going to earn it by staking it since its not created that way, however when I check the blog I see the logic. You are not really staking the way we used to it, but more like getting a bigger dividend than people who do not stake. That is still something nice.

For example 7 days has 1.10, and 5 years has 8.88 at max, I doubt anyone would put it up for 5 years (or at least too many people) but that looks like insane amount of money. If this website survives 5 years, you will be rich when you can eventually withdraw your money to bitcoin and to your wallet.

A couple years ago Lebron James criticized president Trump on a podcast (I think he also called him a bum on twitter) and a Fox News host attacked him for it, most notably telling him to 'shut up and dribble': https://youtu.be/8sNWpmR14W4?t=78

So Lebron produced a documentary on showtime about how athletes over the decades have used their platform to fight against things like violence and racism.

I agree you can use your personal platform probably,,, but on the field while playing football, please do not use it to remind us of your opinions. I have a lot of causes close to my self also but I would never mix it up with my football playing or whatever. It does of course depend on the event itself perhaps. I would not play at a stadium or if my owner was a racist for example.
Why wouldn't they use it in stadiums or during the game? Kneeling at the game against police brutality is the best way to attract attention to it, if Kap only did that from a tweet or something and said something about it, would you be talking about it years after the fact? Would it get the attention it got from all around the world like from me who is not even American? Of course not.

All players in all leagues have a right to voice their problems with the world as long as those problems are literally life and death. Sure do not kneel because you think taxes are too high, that would be silly, but we are talking about cops killing black people with absolutely no reason at all, George Floyd for example died for no reason at all, that cop just kneed his neck for too long and that's it, not even needed to do that, you can wear shirts, kneel, speak up, yell, decline to sing the anthem, do whatever you can without hurting anyone to voice your issues on your platform.

I remembered back in the old days where I think also I'm a big whale placing such big amounts of doge but that's not the only one I love with doge since over the past years Doge coin is consistent for having low cost and stable pricing so its really best to add a what I called legendary coin on blackjack fun since for sure this will be adopted by doge lovers here.
Also we are talking about a currency that has a very generous community as well, we have seen the doge community help out too many people but also make adoption rate go up as well with all the sponsoring they did as well. One point is the fact that they did donations, like a charity where they collected a ton of money and sent it to some people who are in big need and helped them out, even during this covid process there was some small amount of money gathered to help out and was given to either WHO or something like that, they are super helpful towards people who are in big need.

The other point is the way they sponsored Jamaican bobsled team, the NASCAR race car, and many other stuff like that, hell they even thought about doing a UFC one but it was too much and they decided not to but they do help out the adoption of crypto more than many other altcoins.
2628  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 NBA Season on: June 06, 2020, 04:59:37 PM
It makes sense to look at the west but let's be honest there is about 8 or 9 teams that has a chance to win the title (which is a lot compared to previous years where only warriors was seen as the contender and parity was gone) but even with that, I think 3 or 4 teams have a chance at most.

On west I think Lakers and clippers will be the biggest talents, Kawhi and PG13 got injured a lot during the regular season so people thought they were not as good as predicted but they actually are, just got unlucky with injuries. Lakers also played amazingly like expected as well.

It means 2 teams from west are 100% contenders, on top of that rockets could be decent but they failed to perform in the regular season, nuggets do not look that experienced just yet, Jazz is a big question mark. All of these are "semi-contender", as in if an injury happens to their opponent they could beat them, but all intents and purposes they shouldn't. Bucks from east with maybe Raptors and Celtics are contenders too, but mainly Bucks obviously. I say it is between Bucks and Lakers and Clippers, that's it.

Between all the multis and the poker ones, will we get anything different or will this be it basically? I mean leagues are coming back and interestingly we found a way to keep playing here with the poker ones and also some weird leagues like the Korean one we have now, and now that it is all over and the good ones are coming back (bundesliga already started) will this be it? No more new surprises that would be different?

I assume since the leagues are coming back, from now on whatever you do will be regarding the sportsbook side and less more like poker side. I wanted to see more games here honestly, I know it is a sportsbook at heart and expecting it to grow like a casino is futile and practically useless as well but it would both help you but also give us more things to do here when there is no games.

This has been a good postponing trick by earnbet as well, not bad for marketing purposes but also trying to save face on PR as well, good idea. You guys probably had a lot of people come to you and register recently with this "50 bucks sign up bonus" message right? That is why you do not really want to change it at all, you wanted to just let it stay there a bit more and then a bit more as long as possible. The first ever complaint about the misused words was on may 30th, today is 2nd, you are literally using the same one for the past 4 days for something as simple as changing one topic headline, that's it.

This shows that you really don't want to change but you got complaints so you will change it, just not right away. Hopefully you will eventually change it, but by that time you would get as extra people to the casino as you can.
Yeah, they have been doing better marketing as well, they are finally focusing on the gambling side of the things and that is very important. I have talked about before how they should not only focus on the dividends when doing marketing because that way they are attracting investors and that is cool but they are not getting too many gamblers. This place needs regular gamblers who would just gamble for gambling sake without caring about the dividends that come afterwards.

Hopefully they can continue with these promotions and bonuses so that more gamblers would come this way. Do not forget that this place has a bit higher house edge so they need to do much better job at giving back to the community just to make them gamble, that 1% house edge should be given to dividend holders but that extra 0.5% should be used for marketing to get players.
2631  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: US Presidential Election 2020 on: June 03, 2020, 07:11:35 PM
The reason why Biden is getting a bigger chance to win right now from the bookmakers is literally the riots. They are thinking if people who rioted against the police brutality all go out to vote that would mean the end of Trump. But, do you know what is the biggest issue in all of USA?

The fact that there is a HUGE amount of people who do not vote, they are regular people like you and me, they do riot as well, they do get into fights, they do say bad things about Trump too, but they do not want to vote for Hillary or Biden for that matter neither. That is why usually polls and bookmakers are having big swings, I mean sure they could be right about Biden winning, after all there is two candidates and one will win, but that doesn't change the fact that the results swing so much from one side to another, and that is the people who do not want to vote.
2632  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Stop wasting your electricity on: June 03, 2020, 01:52:10 PM
These coins you have mentioned here are not well known. I have not heard about any of them, so they are not worth mining. I don't even see the reason why anyone will be mining these coins. There are other better coins to mine, so instead of mining petty coins, it's best that you put your time and energy in mining good coins. I do know that some people are taking interest in these new coins because they feel that they will blow some day and they will start making profit from it.

Even the big coins in the market still have a long way to go. Bitcoin is just ten years, and it still has a long way to go. So, go for the better coins and stop wasting time with the small ones. You must study profitability of various algorithm based coins before trying another coin at least here after.
2633  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Timing to Hodl tokens is very important. on: June 03, 2020, 12:51:23 PM
A lot people argue about if it is better to hodl on the long term or the short term neglecting the most important thing.
The timing with which you have to hodl your tokens or investment is very important, to ensure you do not rekt.

For every token, there is a time to hodl, and time not too, figure out the timing before investment.
Yes you're right about this, timing investment is really important but there are people who don't know and they just want to get in at anytime and make profit lol. Someone was asking me about cryptocurrency and saying that he wants to learn about it and invest. He was very much interested from the start but when the pandemic started and Bitcoin's price crashed from the $10,000 price and down to $3,800 he got scared and started to lose interest.

I tried to let him know that $3,800 was the right time to invest his money, but he was scared and I never bothered myself again. Eventually the price got up to $8,000 and that's when he came back to me and saying that he regrets not taking my advice. He then started asking if he should invest, I told him that's up to him to decide. Well he invested his money and luckily for him the price has managed to move to $9,000 plus.
2634  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: One mistake and l have lost all bitcoin on: June 03, 2020, 08:24:21 AM
Everything that happens is all part of lessons that you're going to learn. A lot of us here have experienced things that are worse than this, it's just part of the lessons we are meant to learn. Although sometimes it's best for you to learn from the mistakes of others. But since this has happened, at least you now know what can happen in this kind of situation and you can now avoid it in future.

I also hope that you didn't lose much money from making this mistake. When I was a newbie I made lots of mistake but the good thing was that I never lost much money when these things happened, reason being that I always go with the amount I thought was okay to lose.
2635  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The real value of blockchain on: June 03, 2020, 07:52:09 AM
You already said that Blockchain has a real value in being used for cryptocurrency, isn't that enough value for you already? Or you still need to know more on how it can be useful? Well there are still so many ways that the Blockchain can be helpful to us. And like you said, decentralization, that's really one of the good things about Blockchain and that means Blockchain is really important in the area of securing things. Others mentioned using Blockchain to store information so that they are permanent and open to the public.

Blockchain cannot be breached, which means that any information stored on it is completely safe due to its decentralized nature. Since the Blockchain is transparent, it can be a means of fraud protection for your business. I hope that serves you.
2636  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: The #1 reason traders find it hard to follow their risk management plan. on: June 02, 2020, 09:06:30 PM
Emotions are definitely a big play here. People do end up acting a lot more emotional than they normally do when they are doing a trade. I can't count how many times I stopped and checked what I am doing 50 times before actually clicking buy or sell. I end up doing nothing wrong but I start to feel like maybe I don't do anything wrong because I check that many times but I rarely ever change anything from the initial input.

So, there is a lot of emotions involved, it is a stressful thing for many people, if you are a professional you might feel at ease but there are tons of people who feel like maybe this trading thing is a bit more stressful. Tons of people even stop trading all together to relax. Hence I think all the risk management flies out the window as soon as they get a bit more stressed than usual and panicking.
2637  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How do you handle losses in trading? on: June 02, 2020, 08:28:36 PM
The most recent thing that helped me has been watching something when I lose. I know it doesn't make sense to many people here, focus on something else. Learn from your mistakes obviously but focusing on something else does help people a lot. I do not really know how well I can actually do with these kinds of distractions but at least I am trying.

I also would suggest writing down the mistakes you have done, its a good notebook method where you just write what you did wrong and what you think was your mistake, of course knowing the mistake full on well is important, sometimes people don't know what the mistake was, but you can write your guess' there as well. That way when you are studying those notes, you can see what is common and what you should stay away from.

All these faucet decisions, abuse or not i believe all depends on the purpose of what a casino has a faucet. If they want to use a faucet for focusing a new member who wants to try the casino by using a free fund from cassino. They just need to set some rules, every user who used a faucet the amount need to be 0 for the next faucet. On the case freebitco, they not only focusing the faucet purpose for gambling activity but also they giving free money to their user that's why they have a lot abused on the casino.
I doubt that is still a problem but I think even if they do something like that, it wouldn't really change much nowadays because they get caught and they simply block the account and the amount of money they earn without paying them. So, it looks like they won on paper but they can't withdraw at all. The only downside here is that someone else would have won, but instead they won and that means the abusers stole someone elses place (in stuff like lottery and so forth).

Of course there could be some people who have won and withdrew as well while tricking the website as well, I don't know how many but there could be some, those are the ones that is danger to the website but I feel like it is not all of them that gets away with it, most of them must have been caught and accordingly punished.

I always think sports should be fully neutral in terms of politics and just play the game because that is the one thing that unites everyone.
It is not really "politics" that affects the sports, its the people because its normal that they have a life outside of sports and when that off the court changes so much that comes into play on the court as well. In this scenario we are talking about two humans whose nations are at war with each other killing thousands of people with weapons and military during a period.

To expect those two humans to not get affected by it would be silly, of course they were affected and of course it had a lasting effect on their relationship. To think that they were from the same nation for a while and played together and became brothers in arms at national team, to then have a huge war that saw many innocent dead, we can't expect people to not be affected, even if they are NBA superstars. Same with all the riots and protests going on right now and the basketball players as well.

Oh, my God.  Your old manager was fired.  Is it your turn now?  Joke.  I have a question.  What if the wager is not filled and the event ends?
I guess this may not be a right time for firing an employee. Most gambling houses are working hard to make use of the free time of people around the world who stuck at home due to isolation and lockdown reasons. I mean some gambling houses are recruiting more people to cover new gambling demands. I am not sure how well rocket.run have planned and executed in this particular scenario but if I were an admin, I might have taken a different decision if that old manager was good enough to work for some more time.

When they are sick due to covid19, for example, admins will not have any other choice expect appointing a new manager. So, we cannot assume what happened really behind the screens.
