2621  Economy / Speculation / Re: Crypto Winter Is Coming, Warns Experts on: June 28, 2021, 07:32:28 AM
I don't know if I should be worried or happy because I don't have any money yet to buy bitcoin to increase my portfolio when the prices really did go down. If this is the winter that they are talking about, I don't think that we will have to worry too much about it.
basically predicting something that will happen is not necessarily certain, but here we are indeed preparing for many things from the possibilities that occur in winter related to crypto prices. although we can not buy but we can still get it in several ways and think more optimistic of course

the warnings that experts tell somehow made me think it's their plan to make us believe the price will continue to drop and then we see prices are actually rising. it's a confusing time when you know you don't control the future price. not good to be very optimistic when it's uncertain but to be prepared for what's coming, i'd prefer to just not look at the price anymore.
2622  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is it worth investing in coins you believe in? on: June 27, 2021, 02:18:36 PM
Our current location was a big dream for us 5 years ago. I believe that 5 years from now, cryptocurrencies will be very strong. Therefore, choosing the right projects and being an early investor will make us happy in the future. Let's just believe in cryptocurrency technology and wait for the good news in the future  Smiley

not all coins will have a good value after 5 years, it's not true so you be careful when investing some of these tokens. particularly to the coins which the team is not even updating their project. you could look them up actually that they are also experiencing a bull market many times in the past but their value keeps dropping back to the old price where they are after 5 years. you'd be lucky to see the price doubled.
2623  Other / Archival / Re: Why is it a waste of time and money to buy ready-made trading strategies? on: June 27, 2021, 01:31:11 PM
You don't expect every traders to be that pro to develop their own working strategy. No man is an island, so every strategy is drawn from the context of other strategies. You need to know how strategy works inorder to develop your own. Just like Bitcoin and it's interface, altocoins are developed from such concept, alining to the close context and interface of Bitcoin which is the foundation of other cryptocurrencies.

Buying already made strategy is not the best but it can also contribute to one success which can be modified to suit one's trading challenges. Trading strategies can help traders to make good profits from the market but is not the ultimate requirement for a successful journey. Discipline, experience and trading psychology all help to build a wonder trading career without relying most on the strategy in particular. Every successful traders surely as stories of the tough and slim time of their career

i'm actually one of those who only copied strategies from someone who did some tutorials in the past and then gradually i learned that it doesn't work all the time. but that strategy that i followed was the basis of what how i'm trading, his concept is still a reference particularly the RSI, Concavity and Logarithmic Moving Average. the very basic strategy turned into complex over time because of the free strategy that is introduced to me.
2624  Economy / Reputation / Re: MoonCake - probably scam on: June 26, 2021, 11:03:38 AM

not enough evidence but having a high pay as a defi project, it's likely to be a scam just like the rest that just run after selling the team's allocated tokens. when you are a serious project you wouldn't name your project attached to a word MOON.

If they do turn out to be a scam, they have 17 pages of bounty hunters who will be in here complaining. Sad thing is they should have read the OP in the bounty and seen some errors and asked questions before joining.
The problem with most bounty hunters is that they don't check whenever they are joining some campaign, it's sad the first time you heard of bounty hunters getting duped by the campaign but the more you know that it's not just a one sided fault, you get desensitized overtime.

they just join because there is nothing else to join with. but if they see a positive sign to other campaigns, they will be leaving that mooncake campaign. it's a classic MAYBE for them. MAYBE it's not a scam but absolutely a moonshot.
2625  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Tank Davis vs Barrios - June 26 on: June 26, 2021, 10:19:09 AM
betting $5 for Mario Barrios. it's the only left to my account actually. whichever fighter you bet it's risky anyway but it's worth the money to root for Barrios. the od is 4.50 on betja.com but i think it's bigger on other platforms. i'd go for davis if i bet more than $100. if it's an upset fight, it be fun to bet all in again to another fight.
2626  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Excessive stimulus and devaluation of dollar gave bitcoin and gold their appeal on: June 26, 2021, 08:02:12 AM

it could be below $24k if he is to wait for a while. BTC is very volatile so when you expect the price to be $24k as the buying point, you might wanna expect the worse to $12k because it's close to having the best entry price.

it's a pattern. institutions probably are even organizing all these dumpings to allow fellow friends to come and buy from the ones who panicked. so if you plan to buy back as well, sell now and wait if not for the $12K price, see if it touches the $15k.
2627  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: El Salvador started BTC campaign in their country on: June 26, 2021, 06:59:47 AM
I agree OP. Chivo Wallet will be available in September when El Salvador's Bitcoin law takes effect. The Bitcoin airdrop is like a form of Marketing campaign to promote the wallet and for Salvadoran citizens to become familiar with the app. It is incredible how President Nayib Bukele has found things to think about bitcoin for his country.

Take a look at this Tweet, he created this tweet on July 7, 2017 mentioning the Central Bank of El Salvador

Quote
Well yes, it is official, we will use Bitcoin 😎 cc. @bcr_sv

Pues si, es oficial, usaremos Bitcoin 😎 cc. @bcr_sv

https://twitter.com/nayibbukele/status/1408264485194850304?s=19

If you want to know any update of Chivo Wallet. Here you have its Twitter account

https://twitter.com/chivowallet?s=09

it's not yet happening because the wallet will only be available in September which I guess the airdrop is nothing but just an announcement?

according to a coindesk podcast, the airdrop isn't just for the Chivo government back wallet but for all wallets. strike wallet is very popular there so i guess this is easier for the government to promote the use of BTC if they don't ask all to download Chivo.

2628  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Mafias Most Wanted Fight Fixer on: June 25, 2021, 02:28:27 PM

the people involve don't wanna talk about it either. if they do they are not just disappointing the mobs but the people watching the fights. the fans will feel like they are fooled.

Hahaha, amazing. Just this moment at 20:35 made me laugh so hard: "I wish I would've done more of it". It's really impressive how open Farrell is about it. Fight fixing is a serious illegal activity, one can be put in jail for that and be charged with a substantial fine.

I also found another interview from 2017 with him, it's not as informative as the new one, but I found it also quite entertaining.

This is common with criminals, most of them will eventually be caught and be on prison or worst but there is a small amount that will escape that fate through luck alone and then instead of actually being happy they were able to escape their fate they instead think that they should have committed even more crimes, fixing a boxing match is a crime almost everywhere and I do not know if he is going to escape the jail now that he is basically confessing about doing it.

in that interview, link dropped by Alice, Farell named few boxers he actually fixed which he did go to such length like managing a boxer himself and then adjusted an 8round match to 10rounds when he sees his man isn't winning. jezz if he'd do this today he'd be in big trouble.

i didnt really googled Farrell but he seem to be around for awhile talking about fixing fights in some article sites.
2629  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: El Salvador started BTC campaign in their country on: June 25, 2021, 09:11:37 AM
Bukele is really an extraordinary president. make you think why there are media depicting him being a dictator when he is making all this transparent money.

That's almost 3500 BTC to giveaway. Biggest giveaway + ever first by a government. That sounds pretty cool. This is certainly a big step. El Salvador have 6.45 million people out of whom, there should be at least 4 million getting the airdrop (giveaway). That's pretty big move.
Also, wondering how much of it will get out of the circulation.

this is like their helicopter money for the people. nice initiative, of course there will be lots who will signup for this Strike app to receive the $30. it's going to be a massive adoption for all the el Salvadorans.

2630  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: John McAfee is dead, are his coins lost? on: June 25, 2021, 02:40:09 AM

he tweeted his crypto fortune are all gone, it's not really for sure if it's true. he may have set aside some for his kids or his wife. a father would think that way when they know the authorities are about to get him, he probably had given some.

if not then it's lost. he probably has lots of BTC and ETH, he got about $23M for ICO promotion alone. I can still see some of those he promoted still alive.

2631  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you recommend staking? on: June 25, 2021, 01:57:59 AM
I was looking at staking my ethereum. The interest rate seems good and I found BlockFi.com which seems to be around 10% (not guaranteed rate though). Is there a risk of losing coins and is staking recommended? For Ethereum, which site pays the highest APR and is the most reliable/safest?

Thanks!

You need to look on the APR/APY of the stake the site has offered, plus the fact that when you begin to stake you need to lock up your eth in several days and during that day you can never use or withdraw your token while in the stake process, there are site that there is no lockup period anyday you can withdraw your coin, but always remember that there's always a risk in doing staking, because you can lend your coin onto them, make sure the site you are using is legit.

don't put all your trust in those centralized projects like that blockfi. it's not worth losing your coins than earning a few percentages a year. this is almost like storing your ETH to an exchange when you do that, no different to staking offering by the exchanges.

i think going for the projects that are intended for staking is your best option instead like DOT and ADA being the ranked tokens.

John McAfee, the creator of the eponymous antivirus protection software, was found dead in his Spanish prison cell after an announcement earlier Wednesday that he would be extradited to the U.S. to face charges of financial crimes, the Associated Press reported.
Source: https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2021-06-23/mcafee-found-dead-in-spanish-cell-after-extradition-announcement

Although I don't like him and his passion of shilling shitcoins a lot but he somehow paved the way for celebrity involving cryptocurrency. RIP McAfee!

RIP to John, it's a sudden news we cannot deny that even he became a hype to so many shitcoin, he open the door of cryptocurrency to many well known personality even celebrity and part of that is John's legacy. I think he is in a deep situation and I don't believe it was suicide.

he once actually said he will not do what his father did in the past. His father commits suicide too. so given that he already said he won't be committing the same mistake, there's this theory again that it's almost like Epstein case too. i have no idea if there are big people involved in the scams he did in the past like politicians or so. if he will reveal those names because he will be extradited, i think those big names have reason to have him killed.

2633  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Breaking : Donaire Versus Casimero on: June 24, 2021, 04:26:06 AM
At 32 years old Casimero does not have the most impressive career compared to a hall of famer like Donaire. This will be his opportunity to live up to his own hype. He's been very vocal about wanting to fight Inoue and now is his opportunity to earn that fight. The height and experience advantage of Donaire will be difficult to overcome. I haven't seen odds yet but I assume most people will bet on Donaire.

someone should avenge the fallen 2, Dasmarinas and Donaire against Inoue. Inoue had been knocking Filipino fighters already if Casimero fails against Inoue. i don't know who else among our kind can beat the monster. seen Casimero fight the towering Zolani Tete with a long reach advantage and Casimero managed to knock him.

If Donaire wins he will have the chance for a rematch against Inoue.
2634  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If China is so bad for miners, why aren't they moving? on: June 24, 2021, 03:54:17 AM

probably because we just can't trust the news coming out on every news site. this china bitcoin ban had been used as fud several times and because it always works to drag the price down, its still does even after 2017. the recent bitcoin china ban was just the same news it's just revived. this time its mining that is targeted.

despite the news that miners are going to the US today. in the coming years, we still will see this news again.  it just means that we really give importance to China like it dictates the prices which even the western media are publishing the news on mainstream.
2635  Other / Off-topic / Re: John McAfee Found Dead in Spanish Cell After Extradition Announcement on: June 24, 2021, 02:43:52 AM

bloomberg made it sound like it's very timely but the announcement of his extradition was actually more than a week ago before he took his life. he knew its coming.
how bad is American prison can be that he wanted to be in a Spanish cell that he'd rather kill himself you ask?  i think its about his $23M tax which i guess he blamed himself. hope he gave his coins to his son.
2636  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Mafias Most Wanted Fight Fixer on: June 23, 2021, 01:29:20 PM
~all i can say is that Mayweather vs Logan must be a fixed fight as well which everyone won. Mayweather didn't get the loss record and also Logan but everyone got the money and most probably the Mafia as well in sports betting. It does sound like we can analyze how they all work base on what we could observe.
The Mafia might have had influence in the 1970 and 1980 to fix fights in the US but now it is impossible that the mafia could control anything by force, they might influence the judges by paying them well and usually these things will not come out in the public unless there is a serious heat to catch these manipulators.

I do not think Manny fight was fixed and nor does Mayweather and Logan Paul exhibition fight, these mafia takeover in sports is possible in Japan but not in the US.

lots of mobs during those times from rich jews, russians, italians, cubans, irish but the chinese i think still are still active. somehow from the business news i've read they own part of hollywood businesses. when there is money to make, mobs are somehow there in the background.

that farell guy must have only tried fixing in boxing sports. but he also mentioned in the interview about the horse race which he said theres also fixing in that sport.
2637  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: June 23, 2021, 08:21:03 AM
^  I’m not entirely convinced with Gane yet and Volkov is a slight step up in competition but Volkov is the underdog at 2.50?  Looks good to me..  I think the line should be closer imho.  And sure the technical skill advantage goes to Gane but Volkov has the grit.

I know that I don't know much about Volkov and I haven't finish getting information about him, because I am also much busy with other things, and I only have my gut feeling in this match and I think that Cyril Gane could have a slight advantage over Volkov call me crazy but this is what I feel, and because I am still reviewing all fights of Volkov that is why I am saying this, and I am not yet on the fights that he has his peak potential and the Volkov that you all know,

But I still think Cyril Gane has a slight advantage over Alexander Volkov on agility, speed, and accuracy and good takedowns.

Gane can move a lot faster than Volkov and they're both heavyweight, the odd says it so 1.64 on stake. it's the experience that Volkov have if it does matter in the cage facing a more agile fighter that can submit and knock out an opponent.

the sound of the kick slap made me expect a knockout but it's by submission. not the usual end when heavyweight fighters fight. looks like he can do all.

2638  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Lomachenko vs Nakatani June 26 on: June 23, 2021, 04:15:12 AM
Why not Loma by a knock out?

I'm leaning towards Lomachenko rounds 7-9 @5.40. That is an attractive odds and it's possible that Vasyl an break down Nakatani in early rounds with accurate jabs and body shots. Nakatani usually bleeds early so that could also be a big factor for finishing him in rounds 7 to 9 in my opinion.

i'm also betting for Vasyl to win this fight. i wonder why he said he wanted to be in line with Masayoshi Nakatani according to him in his recent interview yesterday in this link https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5sv6PyhF-qc Nakatani although have good records, the kind of opponents he faced aren't very strong unlike what Vasyl had overcome.  they both failed against Teofimo Lopez, which i guess is a necessary fight and something good to watch this weekend.
2639  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: HOLY GRAIL FOR EASY MONEY (LIVE PROOF) on: June 23, 2021, 03:42:07 AM

i like binary option, there use to be a great secondstrade but they're gone now. they are not considered a holy grail, however.

Hello all lovers of binary options,

Please check my thread daily to see my bot performance at https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5344745.new#new

I shall be posting the performance on the thread everyday for the next 3 days.

Thank you all for visiting my thread and feel free to ask me any question because no investment question is stupid.

okay so not as stupid as i can think of this question but have you tried playing the binary option manually on Valuenetwork?  they do have an app here https://app.valuenetwork.live/ i think you may excel as well if you are good with such skill.

the BSC chain i think will have a cheaper transaction fee for this app.
2640  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Mafias Most Wanted Fight Fixer on: June 22, 2021, 03:23:35 AM
all i can say is that Mayweather vs Logan must be a fixed fight as well which everyone won. Mayweather didn't get the loss record and also Logan but everyone got the money and most probably the Mafia as well in sports betting.

That is different if we compare it to Pacquiao vs Bradley fight which is a title match. On that exhibition match between Mayweather and Logan Paul, there's no need for any Mafia's presence just to fixed and rigged that match. Both parties surely have an agreement prior to the fight.

should this be a big win if we pick DRAW for the exhibition fights? sadly we can't see listing of them in crypto sport

I don't see it that way. I'm expecting the odds of DRAW in the future exhibition match involving Mayweather won't be that attractive.

Odds provider knows that already so they are sure to make adjustments. And besides, official rules of the said match are surely released before they will release an odds.

would you say the mafia is present if it was Mayweather who won against Logan?  to me and most probably the rest who watched the fight could say Floyd got it.
