2621  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will alts really die once BTC starts climbing unbelievable highs? on: May 08, 2019, 02:35:19 AM
Heisenberg Capital, led by Max Keiser and Stacy Herbert, two of the most early cryptocurrency adopters, gave a statement that BTC will probably outperform in the near term and will end the whole game for alts as the whole capital is currently being fetched out of alts and being put in BTC only to make it realize its true value. They believe that 2018 was all a comeback for Bitcoin to claw back the market share out of altcoins.

I've been watching and I'm seeing each and every of their word to be getting proven true as all the alts are just declining and people are trying to steal the only giant cryptocurrency - Bitcoins by only playing the leveraged trading games going on over Futures platforms and exchanges like Bitmex. The volume for each alt is declining to their all time lows while BTC has started showing greater possibilities of breaking its all time record highs once again. Please share your thoughts on this and tell me what do you think.

Based on what I know on the history of Bitcoin, when it can be gaining grounds many of the altcoins will be carried with it along the way. The excitement in Bitcoin can overspill into many altcoins but of course it does not mean that all altcoins can get benefited as there can be some that will be left behind. In the year 2017 when Bitcoin almost reached the $20K level, many altcoins also did their own bull run. Bitcoin then is the barometer of the whole cryptocurrency industry...when people are rushing into its bandwagon we can expect some eyeballs also into many good altcoins. When Bitcoin is up the whole industry can be up and when Bitcoin is down the same thing can happen with the rest of his minions though they are all competitors in many ways.
2622  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2019-05-06] Bitcoin retreating as corrections continue from a 6-month high on: May 07, 2019, 01:16:49 PM

The overall sentiment of the market is favoring Bitcoin that is we should be expecting some climb towards the $6,000 level in the next coming days. Now, if this trend can continue there is a big possibility that within the month of May Bitcoin can be challenging the $6,300-$6,500 level. Now, a lot are asking: is this the signal for the bull run? Well, nobody can answer that question for sure but I am hoping this is it!
2623  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2019-05-06] Joseph Stiglitz: 'We should shut down the cryptocurrencies' on: May 07, 2019, 01:13:12 PM
No need to blame people like him. He's a Nobel Laureate, so even if we think he's wrong, or he blabs his mouth, at least we should concede he probably has a lot more sound number-crunching to back up his claims than most other experts. Besides, he's an old-school economist, so of course he thinks like this, how else should we expect him to react to Bitcoin?

Lest we forget, Bitcoin is a direct attack on the status quo. Don't let all the corporate and banking overtures towards blockchain fool you. They should, rightly so, be worried about Bitcoin.

His comment about cryptocurrency doe snot merit any weight. Not unless he won the Nobel prize with his work with something related to cryptocurrency. He is against cryptocurrency yet he is favoring digital payments and there is a little disconnect here. Digital payments can also be used for illegal activities just like the use of the fiat money. Should we now abolish the fiat money because majority of illegal activities are conducted using them? Old school people are expressing their fear of change just like Warren Buffet. This can be something they are not fond of and they could not fully fathom for now...so yeah we just take people like Joseph and his conviction with some grain of salt.

2625  Economy / Speculation / Re: How far bitcoin will it go this time and why? on: May 07, 2019, 10:47:35 AM
We are all excited that bitcoin started moving forward again. Let's have some discussion here how far bitcoin will go this time.
Come up with your prediction, date when will it reach there and of course with a reason why you think it will reach that point.

$10,000 before end of year
I will keep it quite less until some countries come up with their actual stand on cryptocurrencies. As it will highly impact the market and push it to a new level or pull it to a new low.

I am wishing that Bitcoin can go up towards the $10,000 level before the end of the year but this is just a wish because we know that Bitcoin is one hell very unpredictable...there can be some developments to hinder that goal. So it can be safe to predict that at least $8,000 can easily be achieved before the year turns into 2020. Hopefully, next year is when the real bull run can happen and things will not get back to the 2018 level. Right now, slowly but surely institutional money is coming in and many small investors are taking notice...they are now realizing that missing the train can be bad on their pockets.
2626  Economy / Economics / Re: Brexit what effects will this have on cryptocurrency? on: May 07, 2019, 10:41:50 AM
So I guess we already know the answer by now that Brexit didn't do anything in the crypto market. Great Britain isn't even a crypto friendly country to begin with so even if they pulled out from the market we cannot see any major influence from them not being part of the market.  From the last 30-45 days we have seen Bitcoin impressively go up back up above 5,000$ which was in the range of the Brexit an we obiously saw that nothing really happened related to that. The crypto market's price movement right now is more of its technical side rather than  news and speculation.
yes, at present bitcoin reaches $ 6000, and this is a good achievement, after a while sleeping. Moreover, English is not a country that is very influential on bitcoin, of course Brexit does not have much effect

Britain is actually not a big leader in Bitcoin and any good or bad development in the county will certainly not affect Bitcoin. Brexit will soon be proceeding once the deals are done and Britain is to stand on its own feet away from the influence of the EU community. In my opinion, the economies of EU can be helping push Bitcoin if governments will be putting up in their regulatory infrastructure for cryptocurrency.

So before launching your coin, test it and let others do it as well. Get all the info on what your users expect and want and give it to them. The help of pro designers is not a must, but will definitely give you extra scores to conquer the market. And as Thomas Watson, IBM, said: “Good design is good business”.

First impression last...this maxim is true whether online or offline. Design can mean that a visitor to a site will stay longer, join the site and be active in it or just conclude that it is just one of the boring site he is into and is not worth focusing on. A project should always balance many factors and one factor is how the site is seen from the eyes of the visitors and how it is functioning that can all benefit the users. In other words, it is always good to invest money, time and effort making sure that all facets of the site is impressive and working well.
2629  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Partner with me to start CRYPTO AD AGENCY on: May 07, 2019, 08:39:53 AM
Hello

I always want to start an honest AD AGENCY for crypto ventures. I am a professional photographer with access to a lot of high end female models in NYC. But AD AGENCY is more than just photographs! It involves running Ad campaigns (bounty, signature campaigns, twitter, facebook etc), writing articles etc.

You may want to look for a new line of work.  Sad

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8siezzLXbNo

All generated by AI - no model attitudes or expenses needed.

AI can really be game-changing in many industries. However, this is not yet perfect but soon will be, I guess. The models are looking good from afar but may not be when you focus on them on a large screen. But this can just be the start of a revolution where instead of hiring real models, AI will just generate one for you. This means a great cost saving and less hassle to a client and can be applied in many situations.
2630  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: How could I promote Bitcoin in Haiti? on: May 07, 2019, 08:32:51 AM
I would suggest to reverse the adoption strategy:
do not look for people to use bitcoin inside Haiti, but for people to use bitcoin to buy stuff imported in Haiti.
this would increase demand of bitcoins in Haiti and haitians abroad could send bitcoins to their haitians relatives/friends.

Eg.
Haiti pharmacies/drug importers use bitcoin to pay the drugs they import from the US, if they have a cost reduction.
Haitians in the US send bitcoin to their relatives in Haiti because their relatives are able to spend their bitcoin to buy something useful/needed.
Haitians with bitcoin become able to sell their bitcoin to people shopping at the pharmacies because pharmacies could give discounts if people pay in bitcoins.

I appreciate this idea. And in fact, this is what Bitcoin is all about and not focusing so much on speculation of its price and market value. We must be promoting commerce using Bitcoin as the medium of exchange for both parties. Once some people are accustomed to buying and selling using Bitcoin, we can be expecting that the marketplace can be responding into its use because it is convenient, fast and cheap. This is what is actually lacking right now that is why not many merchants and buyers are jumping into the bandwagon.
2631  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: I want start a social network but somethings holding me back on: May 07, 2019, 08:26:24 AM
I have this burning desire for starting a social network but I lack the programming skills to achieve it. sometimes just wishing I had the money to hire the programmers to help me realize the project. Most times i have noticed the rate at which crypto-blockchain projects are failing recently is alarming, seeing that most are focused on delivering the latest cutting edge and must complex solutions, which is a good one in my view. On a serious note I'm absolutely convinced that usability is the way to go with simplicity as it focus, rather than multiplicity of features not needed at the infancy of a project. Driving a good user base at starting is very good for growth.

The concept of a social network that is connected with the blockchain and cryptocurrency is a very attractive idea but so far I could not think of a single project that eventually made it to the market. I am not really sure why...people are not really interested to be active in many new social media sites. In fact, we really need a Facebook-like servicing the needs of crypto lovers, holders and enthusiasts but unlucky not one made it with all the ICO projects focusing on this idea. I am suggesting that you make sure that your project will have solid Unique Selling Propositions (USP) so that people can be coming and staying.
2632  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Netflix for fruits and veggies on: May 07, 2019, 08:16:24 AM
You should at least have introduced Bitcoin payments or a blockchain tech in your service before you even posted your thread here. It made it look like you are just advertising a ordinary service with no relations to cryptocurrency  in a Bitcoin forum. So do not wonder why you are getting a lot of hate and skepticism in your thread, it's natural as you can't even answer their questions straight. There isn't even a hint of a referral system going on in your website so it really looks like you just posted your service here to be promoted.

I could not really understand why connect the referral system with the blockchain. Blockchain can be used with anything though but using it with referral system can just be raising eyebrows than gaining impression especially with the people in this forum. I understand that blockchain technology can be customized and adopted to many circumstances but there have been many entities which are just using it as a publicity stunt. Anyway, I am hoping this project will be living up to its promises and potential.

I've included Fiverr as a good benchmark of what they offer versus my own idea. Fiverr is a pretty reliable website if you're simply wanting some online services like graphic design. The amount of categories they can offer is limited by the way it is simply designed. It's designed for not much more than graphic design, copywriting or video editing. The pricing structure is pretty narrow and the fees are exorbitant. You're looking at a 20% fee ($1) on a $5 purchase and that's just as the buyer. The seller also has to pay a fee as well. Why should they be getting $2 in fees from just a $5 sale?

I am big fan of Fiverr since it started its successful ascent in the world of freelancing and I am still a member of the site up to now though I am not active anymore. Fiverr is a great trailblazer a great pioneer specially in the aspect of reaching more people and lowering the price category. However, Fiverr is not the be-all of cheap freelancing as you are pointing out as there are still many kinds of services that Fiverr is not into...and this is where other players can come in. I love your idea of expanding the coverage area and make the fees aligned with the industry. I am wishing you all the luck and always make your project viable so it can last.
2634  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: NEW Crypto Academy - Crypto Education MUST be FREE!! on: May 07, 2019, 02:53:23 AM

I am sure that this site can be helping a lot know more and get acquainted with Bitcoin and cryptocurrency. Education is always the one that can make Bitcoin get into massive adoption. Education can stop people to get into wrong speculation and put them on solid ground as we are creating the future of finance and money. I am happy to see a site like this helping people especially the newbies. "CryptoAims provides free cryptocurrency, blockchain and trading education for everyone."

On the other hand, while the Commission has issued official warnings about the illegality of the circulation of Betkin and other digital currencies, the Kingdom itself is working on a joint venture with the United Arab Emirates concerning the issue of a digital currency for cross-border transactions. Where he stated that the planned currency would be supported by the technology of the blockin.

In other words, the only cryptocurrency the government will be recognizing is that one that comes from the state...nothing else. This is actually just about control and anything that the government has no control it is automatically illegal. Now, in the Middle East, we should not be expecting that much from its governments as they are used to the tight grip on power and that of their citizens. Bitcoin is representing a rrebellionaway from the government and this idea is frown upon in many Middle East countries.

2638  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Financial value of KYC verification on: May 06, 2019, 02:58:39 PM

KYC is a very controversial kind of a tool which is required by law and financial service providers have no choice but to implement on their platforms otherwise the teeth of the law and the government can be descending on them anytime. Unfortunately, there are unscrupulous players which have the gall to sell KYC data to ready takers. This is the reason why there are those who are nervous in dealing with the KYC requirement most especially if the KYC receiver may not be that trustworthy. I am then wondering is there a case of a firm or an individual imprisoned and fined for selling KYC data to third parties?
2639  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: new marketing approach [OPINION] on: May 06, 2019, 02:53:12 PM

You can use the data for online marketing but that of course means you are spamming them. In case you want to take the risks, that all depends on you. Sure, there are many scammers online and many of them are making good money. The problem is that you can be subject of a complaint and the law can actually be against you. You can also sell the data but that is also illegal. Is there a way to deal with this data legally? Well, I can't answer that. All I can say is that you decide it on your own on what to do with it. You can also be a part of a forum with a focus on the same topic.

The only way to sell off your stash is via illegal means – in other words, by becoming a money launderer yourself.

LOL, I don't get it, why do you need to go to illegal means if you have work your ass off to earn that money in legal ways? So for me this is bull-shit, you can break it down into small quantity and not liquidate huge amounts and to stay away from the radar. You can do full verification, KYC/AML and then you are done. I don't know what people complicate things. Although one advantage I have is that I'm in a country wherein crypto is very much welcome and I haven't had any problems converting it to fiat. But if I do? I will still go to the legit channels to be able to cash it out and no need to go to illegal means.

That was a very myopic statement in that article actually. There are now many countries which has regulations on place for cryptocurrencies and there are now many exchanges that one can deal with legally and with convenience in converting one's crypto to cash. Here in my country, we don't have this problem and I am really happy for this. The only problem is that I don't have that much Bitcoin to convert. As to KYC, I am not afraid of that though I am also concerned with its possible risks but since we are living in reality we have no choice but to comply. Bitcoin and cryptocurrency are all here to stay whether we like or don't agree with them.
