^  It was intense during the first couple of laps when they has opportunities to fight for higher places on the grid..  But when everything has settled and towards the end, you kinda notice the drivers weren’t pushing as much anymore.  I think Vettel could haved pushed more and get Alonso’s spot.

I am still not sure if i like this new sprint race or not, as you already said the first lap had a lot of action going on, even more than in a normal race i would say. I guess that is because the cars are lighter because of less fuel in the cars and right after the start where Verstappen managed to overtake Hamilton it looked like they would change positions again really soon but the remaining 16 laps where pretty boring sadly. We saw one overtake of lando norris vs. alonso but that was pretty much it. Vettel did not manage to overtake him but that was also because alonso was changing the lanes 2 or 3 times when vettel and norris tried to overtake which is not allowed so he should have received a warning for that way earlier than he did.
2642  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: am i the only one expecting the market to be worse than this? on: July 18, 2021, 12:00:33 PM
I know in the future there will be another bull run. I also know bitcoin, ethereum, bnb and all the top ranking altcoins will create new ATH. that's why now i hope the market gets worse than this so i can buy cheaper. and the current situation supports my expectations.

i will buy when bitcoin is under 20k. I will also buy when ethereum has fallen below 1k. when bnb goes back to $100 i will buy it too. before that happens I will not buy.

and I will continue to pray for the crypto market to collapse. when that happens I will come to the market and spend my savings to buy

My personal buy ranges for the coins like BNB and other altcoins are in the same range as yours, but i have to say i don't hope that the market goes that low again because that would mean that my current portfolio, which is already down more than 90% will probably be completely worthless then. So i would hope that we can stabilize now with BTC above 30k and ETH above 1800$ and then after a period of consolidation we can start to slowly but surely go up again. That is just my hope but the scenario that you are describing is just as likely. Everything can happen from here on i think and no matter what the direction will be it will open up possibilities.

FP2 did today after the Qualify's of yesterday makes no sense.
Drivers don't care about it since they can't touch anymore the gare, it is useful only for the preparation of the race with a lof to fuel.

Maybe is better if they change it.

Yeah that training today also felt really weird also as a viewer. I mean usually the last FP is at least a little exciting because it already gives a good indication which car will probably be the fastest in the qualifying later that day, but now it is completely boring, because the teams are just practicing long runs which makes sense for them but as a viewer you can't even compare the lap time of the cars because you don't know how much fuel each of the cars is carrying. So they should really change the order of the FP's, the qualifying, the spring and the race.
I would like FP1 and FP2 on friday, Qualifying and Sprint on saturday and the race as it is on sunday. Or just stick to the traditional mode without a sprint.  Roll Eyes
2644  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Don't panic on: July 17, 2021, 02:23:57 PM
Why do people lose money in crypto? the number one reason is panic, they tend to be controlled by emotion, for newbies never ever just bought something you really know nothing about, that's one of the rule, research is needed, your money is important so don't waste it with wrong decisions, if you decided to what coin to buy, don't sell with small movement crypto is volatile, make some target for losses and earning.

Also my number one advice for total crypto newbies would be to only invest an amount of money that they can afford to lose completely without having any impact on their daily life, because in crypto it is sadly still possible and not even that unlikely that you lose all of your funds. This can happen in different ways, you may choose to invest into a new project which turns out to be a scam and makes a rugpull or just abandons their project which means your tokens or coins are basically worthless or you fall victim to a scam because you are tricked into typing in your private key of your wallet or stuff like that and then the hacker can withdraw all your coins from the wallet. So i would advice to make your first transactions and buys with only a small amount until you get used to crypto wallets and exchanges.
2645  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: July 17, 2021, 11:06:35 AM
The pressure is on the Bucks here not on Phoenix.

Maybe if they believe they can win because they are playing at their home, but no if the game 3 loss is still haunting them as they could have won that game. CP3 made mistakes with his turnover and so did Booker has he needs to sit like 5 minutes in the 4th quarter as he got 5 fouls, that was the time the Bucks had a great opportunity for a big run.

Very interesting finals so far. I don't follow the NBA that closely but after the end of the regular season all i heard was that the Brooklyn Nets will probably be the champion this year after they got James Harden and Kevin Durant to join their team, but somehow the Bucks managed to defeat them in a very close series it seems. Now the final series are just as close and both teams managed to win their home games so far, so i think that the Suns have a lot of pressure today and it will be very hard game for them, because now the bucks have the momentum on their side and the suns know that Milwaukee will have a match-point in their own stadium in game 6 if they don't manage to beat them today.
2646  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ready for 2025 run otherwise its time and money wasting on: July 17, 2021, 10:52:04 AM

2018 ATH passed and went 3x 65000USD to BITCOIN. Now we again expecting to go 100,000 and 130000. I think its useless point now. its better to wait 2025. just accumulate usdt and ready for 2025.

Hmm, if you think that we will be in a sideways market now until 2025 then i think it makes no sense to accumulate stablecoins now because if the prices don't change until the next bullrun you can just buy BTC or your favorite altcoins now and use them to stake, farm or what ever. This way you get some interest in the next 4 years until the bullrun starts and you already have that coins once the bullrun starts, so you don't miss out on the first big gains of that bullrun.
If you expect that the prices will fall even lower than it makes sense of course to prepare FIAT or stablecoins to be ready to buy in once the prices hit your personal point of entry. It also makes sense of course if you are expecting a bullrun in 2025 that you just put some money aside every month if you can that you can invest into cryptos once the time comes.

F1 2022 cars are here

Source: https://twitter.com/F1/status/1415689423723839495

They could choose better colors. Anyway, the time is coming.

I also really hate the paint-job of that car and also that weird shiny effect that the painting has. The car itself does actually look like a huge step backwards, if you compare it to the extremely complex aerodynamics that the cars have now but of course that was also the intention. The front wing is now much more simple which means that the dirty air that cars experienced when they were close to another car now has now a much smaller impact. Which means the tyres of the following car will not wear out so quickly anymore, which hopefully means that we will see much more close racing in the next season. Also that car is just a example for the fans every team can still make developments and with an actual nice paintjob those new cars can look good too.
2648  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: July 16, 2021, 09:10:25 AM
I still can't believe that Milan lost a goalkeeper like Donnarumma, I mean of course you can sell any player you want, that is understandable and it happens all the time, hell Real ended up selling Ronaldo who was the best player (or second best if you prefer Messi) in the world when that happened, so any team could sell any player and there is no shock to that, or they can keep him as well. However "losing" a player like that?

Like not making a dollar out of selling him? Just not having a good contract situation? That's a shame, a big shame and that's why I do not really understand why they allowed this to go on this long, if they weren't sure about not keeping him then they should have sold him long time ago, if they had any incling on what the price should be then they should have paid him that much and then if they think salary is too high then sell him anyway? There is no reason not to keep him because he worths 60+ million, that's just way too much money to let go.

Well i don't really know the insights of that whole Donnarumma situation, but i guess that it probably went down quite similar as the situation with David Alaba and Bayern Munich. There, too, the contract negotiations dragged on forever and in the end there was no agreement, which probably neither party had expected at the beginning. That was bad for Bayern, of course, because they have now lost a player with a market value of €60 million without getting even 1 cent for him.
Probably the same happened with Milan and Donnarumma and in addition to that i guess no one at Milan expected that Donnarumma would be named the best player of the EURO 2020. If Milan would have known that before they definitely offered him a better contract.
2649  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are you gambling to make money or just for fun? on: July 16, 2021, 07:42:09 AM
I was a gambling addict before until I later have to change, I have noticed I lost a lot when I was addicted unlike now that I played for fun. In the past, if I played one or two games, I usually win but I always did continue to bet until all my gain and money will be lost. When I was affected, I changed and only now gamble just during weekends unlike before that I gambled daily, I even sleep late because of gambling before. I noticed when I play just one or two games during the weekend, I win than I lose. Before, I saw gambling as a way to make money that it is a profession, but now seen gambling as fun and play just few quality bets.

How about you? Why are you gambling?

Happy to hear that you have overcome your gambling addiction and i hope you can continue to gamble just for fun and don't slowly but surely get back to your former behaviour. You always have to be very cautious about that. I personally only gamble or place sporting bets from time to time but whenever i went to a casino or if i am transferring money i only use a certain amount of money that i decided before and when the money is gone i won't put in more money for the time being. So of course i am happy if i win a bet but i am not betting primarily because i want to make money with it because i think that is the wrong approach. If you start gambling because you want to or even worse, you need to make money, than this is a very bad starting point.
2650  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Digital EURO - What are your thoughts? on: July 16, 2021, 07:28:26 AM
In my opinion, the move to a digital currency by the government will have an even greater impact on state control over the citizen economy but at the same time it will allow everyone to start familiarizing themselves with wallets, cryptography etc thus educating people to allowing greater ease of management and certainly of approach towards Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies in general.

The digital euro will be the trojan horse for Bitcoin adoption.
https://www.ecb.europa.eu/paym/digital_euro/html/index.en.html

What are your thoughts?

I also saw that news yesterday, which means the EU is now the next country or Union that will research the possibility for a digital currency just like china already announced that they want to introduce a e-yuan. I am not sure though if i should be happy about that announcements. I mean in the end a digital EURO is just a digital version of the "normal" EURO and most people already pay in a non-cash way with that normal euro using their cards. Also i am afraid that the introduction of digital versions of the official currencies may even slow down the adoption of real cryptocurrencies. If you have a digital EURO, why would you still need a cryptocurrency?
2651  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: signs of gambling addiction on: July 15, 2021, 12:07:59 PM
Gamblers don't realize they are addicted to gambling until it's worse which they've done unthinkable already like breaking the piggybank of his kid just so he could gamble again. But you as a gambler can also notice it to yourself before you get to the worse situation like selling valuables like jewelry so you could play again.

Is seeking a new strategy or thinking of betting while you are sleeping signs of addiction? If not, what are little signs that unfold you are becoming a gambling addict?

If it has already got to the point where you steal from your own child or sell jewellery from yourself or someone else just to be able to pay your next bet, then in my opinion it is already much too late to counteract, because then great damage has already been done. My first strategy to avoid happening stuff like that is to set yourself a limit of how much money you can and want to spend on gambling every week or every month without having any impact on your daily life and once that limit is reached you need to be disciplined and don't risk more money. That is the critical point, if you say "Ok only 50$ more but then that's it" that's the first step into an addiction in my opinion.

How crypto currency change your life?

For me, When I was started it seems that in crypto world is not an easy way to have profits because of an online procedure and no controls. But then again when I know how to handle specially on Trading or in bounty program and that's the reason I started  to earn.

To be honest crypto has not really changed my life so far. During the 2018 bullrun my portfolio had a pretty high value, even for first world country standards, and now back in the beginning of may 2021 it was pretty much at the same level again. In both cases i did not cash out, which was of course a fault in retrospective because i have could bought back 10 times to tokens now if i would have cashed out because my portfolio is down more than 90% now. The reason why i did not cash out in those two cases is pretty simple though, the amount of money i would have made was not big enough to be life changing. Life changing in my terms is for example the price of a house or at least a apartment and those are pretty expensive here in Germany. Of course i missed out on some nice profit now but at least those profits where not life changing  Smiley
2653  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽UEFA EURO 2020 Discussion Thread | Current Phase: Finals in June 2021! on: July 15, 2021, 09:30:51 AM

The last World Cup in 2018 in Russia showed very well that European football has moved to the forefront of the world.  Indeed, the teams from the countries of South America, which have always been the favorites of the world championships, performed poorly at that time.  Therefore, the past European Championship can now be safely considered as a rehearsal for the 2022 World Cup, most likely the European team will be the winner.

I would say that european teams (both national and club teams) are dominating the world of football since 20 years now. If you look at the last 6 world cups, then you will see that we have 5 Winners from europe there with France (2x), Italy, Germany and Spain and only 1 team from south america with Brasil back in (2002) since then all the world cups were won by european teams. If you look before that, then yes the south american teams (Brasil and Argentina) were dominating back then with 5 cup wins out of 8 tournaments between 1958 and 1990 but those times are long gone.
I am pretty sure that this is because football is becoming more and more professional. It is no longer enough for Brazil to have the best young talent.
2654  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Suggestions for Long-Term Investment on: July 15, 2021, 09:21:44 AM
According to the present market scenario, several good currencies, such as XRP, TRX, and others, are decreasing due to various causes.I recommend investing at least $10,000 in XRP, TRX, and other similar currencies, since these coins will soon yield a significant profit margin.

It's funny that you list XRP and TRX as good currencies in your statement  Roll Eyes. XRP is basically a centralized currency which is the complete opposite of everything that cryptocurrencies as a whole should stand for, being decentralized and give back power and control to normal people. Tron is basically also a meme-coin that is slowly but surely losing significance as there are now new ETH competitors like Cosmos, Polkadot and Solana. All of them are newer than tron but still managed to have already more projects running on their ecosystems then Tron has.
It's true though that in a bear market it is a good opportunity to buy some good and established coins that are just to expensive during a bull run but my picks for that would definitely not be XRP and TRX.

So are you ready for the last Champions League?

Source: https://twitter.com/theMadridZone/status/1415014850590281734

Bye bye Mafia Ceferin

To be honest, I would be very happy if the Super League would somehow still come about. Not because it's good for football, because let's be honest, the Super League was only initiated because the top clubs want to earn even more money, but because it would be a slap in the face for UEFA. As you said, UEFA is also for me an institution that is rotten to the core, where it is no longer about doing the best for European football, but about making as much money as possible with football by whatever means. This became obvious again recently when UEFA insisted on making the stadiums as full as possible during EURO 2020, despite the spread of the delta variant.
I just can't see a Super League Happening in the near future. This decision of the court means nothing now that almost every team has said that they don't want be a part of a super league anymore.
2656  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How do you make sure a projects funds are safe? on: July 14, 2021, 12:06:22 PM
Hey everyone,

How do you verify that a projects funds will not be stolen by the devs? Many projects hold ICO's or some other sort of sale to raise money for development and many have turned out to be scams where the dev steals the money.

What are you looking for to verify that they won't run away with the cash?

Any ideas on how a project can build trust with the community on this topic?

What would you like to see DAO projects do in the future that would help build trust and make sure funds are secure from theft?

First i would check the whitepaper and look for the part with the token allocation and token vesting schedule. In the majority of cases the team of the projects allocates around 10-20% for themself, if they are keeping more tokens for themself than i would be cautious already, also look out for allocations like "reserve" or stuff like that because that can basically just be another word for "team tokens". If they have a token allocation like "reserve" make sure that it is clearly mentioned how the funds of those allocation are spent and when they are unlocked. Regarding unlock of tokens: make sure that the tokem of the team members are fully locked for at least 6 months (most projects have 1 year full lock). After that a certain percentage gets unlocked every months or every quarter. That way you can at least be sure that the team will not dump their token on day 1.
2657  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Olympics 2020/2021 : Discussion & Predictions on: July 14, 2021, 06:47:20 AM
Quick question, how does a country qualify to play the Olympics? I really want to see my country play but they aren't even participating so I don't exactly get what is the requirements to do be part of Olympics, also who will be carrying the torch this time?

As far as I know, there are no specific requirements that a country has to fulfil in order for its athletes to be allowed to participate in the Olympic Games. It all depends on the individual athlete, as there are certain standards for each sport that have to be achieved in order to qualify as a participant for the Olympic Games. For the 2021 Games, the main criterion for the first time is a world ranking list in which the five best results of an athlete are included and, in addition, the respective results are weighted according to the importance of the event. In addition, there is the qualification through the achievement of the standard as well as quota places. So the whole thing is quite complicated.
2658  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Dogecoin that two people highly esteem on: July 14, 2021, 06:34:43 AM
Lately I've been seeing tweets from Elon Musk and Matt Wallace who very often glorify Dogecoin and even they both seem to dislike BTC and ETH, thus saying that the Dogecoin transaction system is faster and cheaper than BTC and ETH, even Elon Musk himself immediately said that Dogecoin will be superior to Bitcoin and Ethereum after upgrading.
How do you guys react to this kind of thing?

I don't react to that kind of thing anymore at all. When Elon Musk made his first positive tweets about cryptocurrencies a few months ago i had quite an impact on the whole market and let the prices of nearly all cryptos climb. Then, when he announced that BTC will be accepted by tesla as a payment method the prices went up even more and with his shill tweets for Dogecoin he made it rise to price levels that were never seen before. Then all of a sudden he said Tesla will not accept BTC anymore because of environmental and energy reasons and in a TV-show he said that Dogecoin is basically just a hustle which made the prices go down again.
Since then a lot of crypto people don't really like Elon Musk anymore as he is playing with the wealth of a lot of people with his tweets.
2659  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽UEFA EURO 2020 Discussion Thread | Current Phase: Finals in June 2021! on: July 13, 2021, 12:45:28 PM
So what do you say to Donnarumma being player of the tournament?

Personally it sounds a bit strange, I don't recall a goalkeeper ever winning it before. Performance-wise it is deserved though, he was really good throughout the tournament and has won 2 penalty shootouts - saving 3 penalties in a row in the final (ok, 2 - Rashford hit the post - but counts as 3 I guess Grin).

Who'd you pick? We really did not have any players that were clearly above the others. Maybe Sterling, but he didn't really show up for the final.

For me that is a reasonable decision to make. Donnarumma played a great tournament and even if it is quite uncommon that goalkeepers win this kind of trophy i think he deserved this one. He is a part of the team that managed to win this tournament which is also a big factor in this kind of awards. When I think about it, I can't think of any players who, in my opinion, deserve it more than he does. Maybe Bonucci or Chiellini as both also played great tournaments but aside from them i can't think of any other players. Ronaldo scored 5 goals but 3 of them were penalties and Portugal was eliminated to early. Kane made some good matches in the later stage of the tournament but played pretty unlucky in the first matches and Sterling did not play consistent enough.
Maybe Schick would have a chance if the czechs managed to reach the semi-final or final.
2660  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is it risky to invest in new crytpo coin/tokens??? on: July 13, 2021, 12:38:33 PM
Many of us were well known the Coinmarketcap from where we receive all cryptocurrency like coins and tokens details like on which exchange they listed, what is the 24-hour treading volume, or which platform they based on, etc. These days many new crypto coins and tokens was introducing and listing on many exchanges and It makes a very difficult decision for the investor to choose which coins or tokens should they invest to make some good profit. Many of the new cryptocurrency was makes a good pump in their stating days and after they dump in a very dramatic way. This cause a big loss to the investors and the trust in these types to new coins and tokens was finished. So, the main question is that Is it risky to invest in new crypto coins/tokens? or it is good for a very certain time of investment?

To give a short answer, yes it is very risky to invest into new projects or coins even more in the crypto space. Especially here you always have to keep in mind that it is always possible that the project that you want to invest in is a scam or a rugpull and that it is possible that you lose everything that you invested into this project. Also keep in mind that, if you invest in new and small projects that those coins will suffer the hardest during a bear market like the one that we are in right now. My portfolio also consists mainly of small cap altcoins that are pretty new and my portfolio is down more than 90% as of now in comparison to the beginning of may.
Of course if you are willing to take that risk, than you also have the chance to invest in a really good project early and makes a 100x or maybe even more.
